I've done business with Apple Valley Ford for the last 20+ years, but my last two service experiences have have given me pause. My most recent experience (today) was to bring my car in for a Recall. After driving through the snow, I was told..."oh sorry, someone should have called you to cancel your appointment..... Ford did not send us the correct parts". How tough is it to get on the phone and make a call? They seem more focused on helping you buy a car.....less helpful when servicing your car. read more

Bought a Edge titanium, it has 8,000 miles on it. The A/C quit working this spring. Had it serviced, never worked. Scheduled a reservice and they cant get us back in until late August. Looks as tho we will be done with Ford and Apple Valley Ford. No A/C on a brand new car for most of the summer. Not happy at all! read more

My brakes on my Ford Escape went out 40 minutes from home. Had vehicle towed here because it was closest. They 'fixed' it, but I didn't even make it halfway home and the brakes went out again, with my kids in the vehicle! They towed it back again, and three days later when I hadn't heard from them, I reached out and they didn't even know where my vehicle was! When they located it, they claimed the original replacement part was defective and fixed it again for free. Offered me $10 credit for my troubles. I again drive 40 minutes to pick it up a second time, and it wasn't even drivable when handed to me. Another oops moment from them. "I should have inspected the techs work" he told me when I brought it back a third time. I spent $1000, two wasted 40 minute trips, and I still had no vehicle. I finally had it towed to my mechanic who treats me like a person, not a mark. Wish I had done that first, and not just went to the closest place. No competence. No professionalism. No accountability. Management didn't seem too concerned how I was inconvenienced and their massive failure to me as a customer. They are large enough they can just absorb awful feedback like mine instead of making things right. They could absorb your awful experience too. Be wary. ​​ read more

(LONG STORY) Apparently their repairs are half assed/ garbage. I purchased a FULLY loaded 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium with 39k miles 8-2018. I'll admit i bought it from Luther Chrysler/Jeep. I. Purchased the full extended warranty (8yrs/120k) bumper to bumper. Maybe 3 months later, I brought my car In to AV Ford because there was a significant clunk between gears. It was fixed very quickly under the MANUFACTURER warranty. That should have been my first RED FLAG.( It was done the next day) But my transmission fully went out and left me stranded 4/2021. The Mopar Warranty denied my repair claim. They told me "somebody tore this thing apart" and they won't fix it. AV Ford is only place that's done transmission work on this car. If I could I would put no stars. Talking to a representative over the phone to buy a used car. Was given time frame that we would be there to buy a car. My husband didn't get any help and was told once there just go over there the used cars should be over that area. Nobody to give further info on the car or just main help would be helpful. When you look at the companies website there is no indication that the car is being up for auction. For those of you looking for a car please just go elsewhere! I want the public to be aware that the customer service is no good and the website has no specific indication on what's on auction and why that may be. Customer service is an absolute zero. Car had an issue leaving the lot, and you have to physically return to get someone to speak with you, as they don't return phone calls. Manager has a chip on his shoulder and I would recommend this place to absolutely no one. I've bought two new vehicles from Apple Ford. I will go there again for my next new vehicle purchase. The service I've gotten there is the best I've gotten anywhere. The facility is extremely nice and their people are great to work with. In addition to the great experience buying a couple trucks from them, their service department is fantastic. It's extremely efficient, they do great work, and they pay very close attention to their customers making the whole process enjoyable. Their customer lounge is large, comfortable and includes complimentary high-end refreshments. While there today, one of their employees brought around a basket of snacks for their customers. They make customer contact and communication a priority through out the process. This is a very well-run, customer-centric business. read more

The best car buying experience, ever. PERIOD! I had visited numerous dealerships before visiting Apple Valley Ford and the moment I walked in the door, I knew this one would be different. Why? Because I was actually greeted with a smile and was helped out right away. Most times when you walk into a dealership if you are greeted by a salesman and you are not looking for them, they are reluctant to help out. They have a very well thought out floor plan where everything is out in the open. One of the best parts it seemed about the dealership was that it was business casual, no suits or fake individuals around. I highly recommend the salesman (car advisor) Steve H., he is by far one of the kindest and nicest individuals I have ever come across. Open and transparent in the car buying experience. Steve never once pressured us on the purchase of a vehicle like so many other car salesman do with obnoxious closing techniques. He asked us what we were looking for and he delivered on point. He never wasted any time trying to push us in a vehicle that was not for us. We first sat down at a desk on the show floor and browsed the inventory on the computer. After we found a few vehicles, we decided to go out on the lot and take a look. It was raining out and Steve went out of his way before going out on the lot to grab an umbrella for my girlfriend. It was late and the dealership was closed, but Steve had taken the time to stay after. We weren't going to buy that night and we were never pressured into putting down a deposit to reserve the car like so many other dealerships do. We told Steve we would come back tomorrow to take the car for a test drive. I left that night telling my girlfriend that this is the first time I had actually left a dealership happy. One of the best features about the Apple Valley Ford is they will pull the car into the showroom to take a look at it, if it is raining or cold outside. After deciding to purchase the vehicle the next day, Lori from financing was very helpful. She came back with an interest rate that I did not like at first and she went to bat for us to get a new one. She didn't balk at the idea, she just did it and I appreciated it. I like the fact that they don't work on commission and are a best price dealership. No running back and forth over price or wasting ones time. Another great feature is there is no going back into cramped offices to sign documents, everything takes place out on the showroom floor. Everyone comes to the consumer. I bought my car here and had it serviced several times. One other review mentioned their timeliness on appointment, I can support that experience. I'm not sure why there are appointments when it is sometimes the next day before they get to you car. The last time was the last for me. When I went in last time, the trim was put on incorrectly and I had to fix it myself. Additionally the panel on my door came loose and trapped me in my car. I return my car to have it fixed and when it did more damage was done to my car. I'm done going back and forth I'll find a new dealership. I'll get my car fixed elsewhere. Ok, just like I will give a 1 star review when it is due, so will I give a 5 star review when it is earned. My Ford Focus died on me (on a nice 98 degree August afternoon). I used my insurance coverage for a free tow to Apple Valley Ford since the engine stopping seems like something that would be covered in the powertrain warranty. It was towed in last night and this morning Eric from the service department called me to let me know that the fuel pump had failed but would be covered by warranty (an over $800.00 repair). He also said that due to the pump failure, injectors and a few other things were covered with carbon and would need cleaning. The quote for that was $261.00. I said go ahead and do it. About 10 minutes ago, I received a call from Eric informing me that my car was done and that the repairs were even cheaper than quoted originally (like $209.00 insead). The service was done very fast, I have never gotten a call that it would be actually cheaper than quoted and the followup with one point of contact was excellent. Based on this experience, I give this experience with Apple Valley Ford Lincoln 5 stars. read more

Do they sell damaged new vehicles? If you are looking for new from Apple Valley Ford, inspect, inspect, inspect. When we were purchasing a brand new Explorer, every vehicle I looked at had serious issues, from doors being misaligned to paint spots, or weird road noise with only 8 miles on the vehicle. I finally decided on one because of an extra premium they offered me....well, a week into the vehicle and despite my diligence inspecting the vehicle, issues are popping up here and there. Bring your vehicle back for warranty repairs, oh yeah they'll fix them, bill Ford, and return your vehicle w/ more issues. Vehicle owned 3 months, at dealer for repairs 5 weeks, back again for another 3 weeks, should be done sometime in January. My experiences anyways. Never buying a new car from them again. Pursuing Lemon Law at this point. read more

The buying experience was a little annoying, if you take a test drive expect the sales guy to sit in the front seat with you and talk the entire time, any one coming with is forced to sit in the back seat. But the issue is their service after the sale. The service department is terrible, Bumper to Bumper warranty does not cover issues with wheels and alignments are over priced. Bought 2 new tires from them and they were $50 more expensive than what discount tires or tire plus would have. Service department is pushy and rude, if you do buy from them don't take your vehicle to them for service. read more

If I could give a -10 I would. Had two keys made and picked my vehicle up to a dead battery. The service guy put a battery pack on my battery to jump it and put it on backwards and smoked my battery! Absolutely the most horrendous dealership I have ever dealt with. After buying the truck I have wanted for years, it suffered a break down. After being promised that it had a warranty to cover it for 60 days, and roadside assistance, I called and told them. It took three days for them to even bother to come and get the truck. I eventually had to have it fixed at a different dealership a month later because their service people could not figure it out. Now, a year later, another mechanical breakdown (brakes, no big deal, right?) I learn that their General Sales Manager, Mike, lied to me about what the extended warranty actually covers. When I called them to discuss the situation, my message was put through to Mike. Upon the return call, he was obnoxious from beginning to end. I explained to him that I had asked a very simple question: "What does the extended (100k) warranty cover?" His response was to hand me a brochure, open to the page with a couple hundred parts listed, and said "all of this." It was rather impressive. As it turns out, that only applies to a one year, 12k warranty, and the 100k is powertrain only. I asked why I was not told this. His response to that? "So you're incapable of turning the pages in a brochure?" I had already admitted that I screwed up, and that he had me by the short hairs. I knew what happened wasn't going to get fixed, right from the beginning. I was dumb enough to buy what he was selling, and I knew it. Mike simply wanted to live in his own world, where he can do no wrong, saying, "Why would I tell you it covers those thing? My job is to sell you more warranty." As if the fact he used lube when he bent me over makes it better. I get it. I screwed up. I am in the wrong for having trusted Mike. That said... I wouldn't do business with this dealership again if they were giving cars away. read more

Apple Valley Ford Lincoln shows that car dealerships can be places with friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and honest staff who care about making a fair deal. I walked in off the street to see if I could score a deal on one of their used cars, and within 30 minutes of entering the door I had a very fair offer. There wasn't any haggling. They gave out their best price right away and went to and the rest of the transaction was the smoothest car buying experience I've ever had. I honestly do my know how this dealership gets the ratings they do. Their 2 for 2 on botching my experience. I purchase the vehicle here only to be dissatisfied with how they define cleaning a vehicle. The sticker glue was still present on the window the floor mats were dirty and they felt confident enough in the their work to present it that way. Wether you spent $500 or 50k as I did the effort to satisfy your customer should be the same! The only thing they seemed concerned about is (which was mentioned numerous times) was make sure you give us a great review!! I recently brought the vehicle back for service I made an appointment a week earlier only to wait an hour for a rental non sense! My pickup was getting a little long in the tooth, and I made the difficult decision to purchase a smaller more fuel efficient vehicle. I have purchased from Apple Ford in the past. It was great to see some familiar faces, and meet some great new staff. I worked with two sales associates, David & Jordan. While an EV was compelling, I couldn't manage the wait time for an order. Both sales associates were very patient, helpful, and suggestive. I settled on a Ford Edge. The sales process was very efficient. I chose to use my bank which only took a little extra paperwork which was to be expected. At the close of the sale, Sales Manager Joe Ryan, was very attentive and is genuinely invested in each customer. I have given reviews on other platforms about the service department. The service department is absolutely amazing. The whole process from the moment I walked in until I drove away has been the same level of exceptional customer experience I have come to expect from Apple Ford. This is a very difficult time to purchase a vehicle. Apple Ford has made the process easy. I visited Apple Valley Ford about a week ago to view and test drive a 2003 Ford Thunderbird (classic car) that was on the lot. I drove one of my vehicles in to the dealer a 2013 Ford Mustang. I was introduced to Brian Moe and asked some details about the Thunderbird and then took the car for a test ride. I was an impressive vehicle for a 17 year old car with only 26,000 miles. Then Doug Condon came along and wanted to test drive my Mustang. I told him no way as I knew dealer's habits of "losing the leys" or some other BS I had dealt with in my 70 years on earth. He insisted so I said ok and tagged along so I could control the situation. Then the trouble started. As Doug walked up to my Mustang he flipped open the gas tank cap (a race car style cap without a gas cap) and did something quickly to the gasket and closed the filler up quickly in hopes I wouldn't see. I DID SEE EXACTLY WHAT HE DID! So I decided to let him drive the car while I sat in the passenger seat. He drove it and could find nothing wrong with the car and asked me if he could take pictures of the vehicle. He did exactly that and we walked back to talk the the salesman. Doug was on the phone almost immediately to someone discussing my car as he thought I was ready to trade. I was not and brought up the hardtop storage rack that was NOT part of the Thunderbird sale and Doug went over to the parts department and found out that Ford Motor Company no longer carried the part and that the company had sold the rights to the storage rack and other accessories to a third party. That told me that Ford Motor Company was no longer interested in the rebirthed Thunderbird (2002-2005) and to purchase a 17 year old car without a warranty (300 miles or 30 day warranty) would be foolish. I asked about an extended warranty and I was told there was none. So Doug made me an offer for my Mustang and I told Doug and Brian that I wasn't interested in his offer and left the dealership. Almost immediately after I got home and restarted the Mustang the next day the engine light came on something I had seen only once in the five years I've owned the car. That was because the service interval had passed and the car needed the oil & filter changed. I thought that this was very odd so I took the car to O'Reilly's auto store where a scan tool was plugged into the car's computer system and was diagnosed with a leak in the gas cap. Very interesting that the car was diagnosed with a slight leak in the gas cap when Doug at the dealer opened the gas cap and did something. This was no coincidence. Doug knew exactly what he was doing and tampered with the car. I have no doubts. So I got back home and thought about the situation and decided to call the dealer and request a meeting between the sales manager and Doug Condon. The dealership never called me back. They refused to talk to me. I guess that tells you a great deal about Apple Valley Ford. I wouldn't ever go back there as I think the dealership is very shady and I suggest you never allow anyone to test drive your vehicle from the dealership. read more

Very frustrating! Made an appointment for Sunday morning - thinking that I would have the rest of the day - not so much! The didn't start until 10:30! Now they are waiting to align them, at least another hour! Yes, I can wait, but I can concentrate to do much - loud radio and TV going at the same time. The place is a nightmare. Stay away from it. We bought a nice Dodge Grand Caravan from them in 2010. They sold us a warranty and we've had some warranty work. They cannot seem to get the warranty work correct. We've had the air conditioning fixed multiple times. We pay the deductible on the warranty and, amazingly, a couple of months later, we have to have the car back in to correct the air conditioning. Finally we had to rent a vehicle in order for them to complete the warranty work. Of course, as luck would have it, the rental got scratched and that left us out of pocket for about a grand. AV Ford refused to consider their role in this $1000 loss for us. If they'd fixed the car in the first place, we would not have needed the rental and the rental wouldn't have been scratched. There are many south-of-the-river dealers to choose from. Stay far away from Apple Valley Ford. read more

The customer service was excellent up until after we paid... went around to the service area to pick up our used 1999 F150 XLT, they told us they would vacuum and fill up our gas tank... They didn't do either!! The tank was almost empty and there was sand all over the floor & dried mud & grit all over the drivers side door it was ridiculous!! I wasn't asking them to shampoo anything even though it smelled like smoke and was filthy... so the very least they could do their jobs & vacuum! We purchased a used SUV from this dealership less than 2 weeks ago and today we find out it needs an $800 repair. On top of that, we got a call from one guy out there saying they would foot the bill...great, right?...except 5 minutes later a different guy (that we have never even talked to) calls back and says no they aren't going to cover the bill afterall, as it is our fault for buying a used vehicle. They are very inconsistent. We got calls from three different people saying three different things, and no one seems to talk to each other there. Total lack of communication! Furthermore, I went out there to get some maintenance done that was previously arranged before I even bought the car, and when I got there they didn't even know who I was or what I was talking about. They didn't even have record of the repairs that needed to be done. When I told the man in the service bay who I had spoken to on the phone he didn't even know who I was talking about! read more

I received a safety recall letter and called immediately to schedule an appointment, they gave me 8am and noted that I wanted a shuttle ride back to my home. I arrived on time, was checked in and waited at least 45 minutes for the shuttle. The letter said they would need my car for half the day but by 3pm I still hadn't heard from them so I called to learn the status. I was told essentially that my appointment time didn't matter because they couldn't control the people who "showed up" ahead of me and how long their repair would take. I would think that scheduled appointment times are saved for those who made them and that people who "showed up" would be told they needed to make an appointment. With other cars I've owned I used a dealership only for warranty work. Based on two trips to this dealership in the eight months I've owned the car (less than 7,000 miles on it) I will once again take my car needs to my local mechanic. read more

I went to Apple Auto "Quick" Lane for a basic oil change. After 40 minutes of waiting, I asked if they were about done. I was told yes, just finishing up. 20 minutes later, the mechanic comes in and says I need a new oil pan (for $759.99). He says, "Yeah whoever changed the oil last, stripped the plug." (You mean YOU did and are going to blame someone else and not take responsibility). I've never had an oil leak! I've never had an oil change take a FULL HOUR. So after several emails to them with no response other than passing the buck, I write this in the hope that no one else has to endure what I went through. read more

My husband and I just had the worst possible experience here. We came in to pick up a part that my husband ordered. We walked into the service area where there were no well marked signs for where to go to pick up a part then we stood there waiting for a few minutes before we even saw anyone. When someone finally did walk by he didn't acknowledge us at all let alone ask why we were standing in The middle of the service area. Once we initiated conversation we were directed to the parts pick up. Then there was no one at the counter. We rang the bell and waited for a good 3 minutes before ringing it again. Finally a very disgruntled older gentleman came out (no name tag). He was quite rude and we left feeling like we disturbed the employees rather than being helped by nice professional people. read more
