LEE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AT WHAT SHE DOES ! I am so glad I have this spot a try ! Honest great quality work and they aren't trying to rip you off. She made her professional suggestion for my nails to do dip since I work with my hands and are washing them constantly. And I can honestly say these are my favorite nails , they just feel so great . I've been going to this place for 7 years. I've always been afraid of getting cut or getting fungus from nail shop. However, this place is always clean and I have never been cut. Always went to Henry or Mimi for nails. The pedicure has been done by other people. And this place I don't have to worry about that. Thanks Henry!

I used to come here years ago and always had great service and experience however my last two visits I feel like the work has not been as clean as it used to be to. It's over priced and messy work it's so disappointing because staff is always very kind but $100-150 for nails plus pedi and for the work to be messy.. yeah I won't be back unfortunately/: thankfully from a distance it don't look too bad but of course when I look up close it's just messy work that is not worth $60 for a fill and gel. The last set was a French tip and yes they charge extra for French meanwhile the lining was terrible. Not sure what happened to the old workers but these new ones are inexperienced and very slow.

Friendly quick service. Walked in two pedicures less than than 10 minutes we were seated and offered drinks. They have different type of pedicure packages, I got the lavender (with gel) and my friend did orange (one up from Basic). It was quiet and relaxing environment with comfortable chairs that give you massage; I almost fell asleep during my massage portion. I can see the place being crowded during a busy time, parking can get busy but there's enough around the building.

Found this salon about a year ago and loved it, but my last few visits have not been as spectacular as the first few. The quality of the services have declined a lot. This is my pedicure after 1 week, I even went back once because the polish was tacky and warped. The polish seems old and thick. I ended up just taking the polish off and painting them myself. My gel manicure is also lifting after a week. Disappointing, I really wanted to keep coming here as it's convenient, well priced, staff is pleasant and they're great at quick appointments.

It was good that lady was super nice and gentle. She was also Vietnamese and so am I and we had a talk together. It was very chill and calming but there was Vietnamese music playing in the background so if u were ever to come into the nail shop u will know it a Vietnamese shop immediately! I came in last minute for a gel pedi for the first time at this location. It had been months since my last pedi, so I knew whoever was going to do mine, had a tough job coming their way. I had Nikki, and she was absolutely amazing. She spent over an hour (almost 1.5 hours), scrubbing, exfoliating, rubbing and painting my toes. And they are absolutely stunning! I am so pleased with this place and I know you will be too! I will definitely be back!

Worst experience in a nail salon I've had in ages. I called to make an appt for an acrylic overlay with design And a gel pedicure. Long story short , neither of the ladies who serviced me knew what they were doing. My acrylic overlay was super thick . I had acrylic all on my cuticles . I had to stop my original nail tech from continuing because the acrylic started to burn me. She then calls over another nail tech to fix it. And she does what she can but it's still not good. The lady doing my pedicure barely did anything that's included in the pedicure package. I had to opt out on the gel polish because after seeing the first application she did , it looked like a toddler did it , I knew I didn't want to pay $15 extra for a bad GEL pedicure when the pedicure itself was mediocre. I paid almost $100 for a mediocre pedicure with no polish. And nails that look like bad dentures.

I've been coming here for 5 years & they always give the best service! Mimi & Henry & the rest of the staff are so welcoming & ensure my nails are what I asked for. They last for 3-4 weeks, I've even been able to push it to 5 weeks if I don't have time to go sooner! Bonus points for the complimentary drinks they always offer too!! read more

This is the best nails salon in mission valley the owners are really nice and they give customers a decent prices not like this other nail salon they're trying to charge for pedicure and nails $180 like why no good way to pricy for nails pedicure other place they don't make you wait here or nothing they have enough staff and all clean love it the vibe is good they just need to change the music to more hip hop or something different read more

My nails look nice some were left rough I had to file a bit however it was the fastest manicure ever 10 min done she didn't do a relaxing arm massage it was just super fast 20.00 plus the 5.00 tip I have had much more relaxing manicures elsewhere there are at least 5 other nail places within a mile. Had she taken her time I would have gone back for a pedicure and referred many friends. You pay when you sit down before the work is done which is odd so she knew she was getting more then 2O% tip hence it should have been a longer more relating experience. read more

I used to come here years ago and always had great service and experience however my last two visits I feel like the work has not been as clean as it used to be to. It's over priced and messy work it's so disappointing because staff is always very kind but $100-150 for nails plus pedi and for the work to be messy.. yeah I won't be back unfortunately/: thankfully from a distance it don't look too bad but of course when I look up close it's just messy work that is not worth $60 for a fill and gel. The last set was a French tip and yes they charge extra for French meanwhile the lining was terrible. Not sure what happened to the old workers but these new ones are inexperienced and very slow. read more

I didn't know this spot was located inside the same plaza as In N Out. Happened to be in the area and badly needed a gel pedicure and got my mom for gel manicure and gel pedicure as well. This nail salon has plenty of employees so you're rarely waiting. I went in here for the first time for a pedicure and a gel fill. I used to do acrylic powder on my natural nails. Employee here explained that builder gel x would be the healthiest option. She spent a lot of time taking off my old powder and I appreciated her explaining the product. I was told that builder gel lasts much longer and won't lift. Unfortunately, 2 of my nails lifted within 2 days. I then went back about 3 days later because another 4 were lifting. I believe it's because a thick enough layer wasn't originally put on. Aside from this, the experience was great, they offer champagne or water and are very attentive. Clean as well! read more

I have been coming here for years! The service is always great. Mimi is my go-to for any acrylic design, Henry and Kelly are great too! I always request Tracy for my pedicure. However, I have probably experienced every nail tech and have never had a bad experience. Even if you are unhappy with how your nails turned out (this has never happened to me) the staff here will make sure you leave satisfied. read more

Apple nail and Spa was awesome brought a family of five. I called and told them we were in our way. It was my wife and I and three kids everyone was very kind. This nail shop was unprofessional, rude, and honestly gave off racist vibes from the moment I walked in. The way they looked at me and talked to me was completely off. Instead of greeting me or asking what service I wanted, they acted like I was bothering them just by being there. They were whispering, staring, and moving weird, like they didn't want to service me at all. The energy was so uncomfortable and disrespectful that I ended up walking out. I refuse to spend my money anywhere I'm not welcomed or treated fairly. read more

Do not recommend. I did their $95 new package, can't remember the name and added the gel which was an additional $20. Total being $115 and gave additional tip. Less than 24hrs the gel all came off and I called and spoke to whomever about a refund and was basically talking to myself on the phone. This is unacceptable. I sent pictures to whatever number they had me send it to. I can understand maybe 2 weeks but less than 24hrs after applying is just ridiculous. Too expensive for something to not last read more

This nail shop has some alright service with employees Lisa on pedicure & Kelly with doing some nails are a big help to me from having bad work in Louisiana. There some soothing-relaxing music, too. But, something's are uncomfortable. My left big toe still hurts from the drilling device near my cuticle area. read more

I always love my experience here! They're always so nice when I go. They always take walk-ins. You're always offered a beverage. I've been to a lot of places around San Diego and they have never let me down. Prices are good. Quality is great. Chairs are comfortable. Apple Nails response was unacceptable. Being told I got the wrong place is demeaning. As if I don't have the receipt? I said she muttered in English "spoiled white girl" just enough for my daughter to hear and after I left my seat. Finding a nail salon where you get consistently great service and quality work can be very difficult to find. Apple Nails has been my only go to nail salon for 8+ years. I am never disappointed in their services. The effort and care they all put into making sure you have the best experience and service possible in unmatched in my opinion. Henry & Mimi are my absolute favorite to have do my nails. Henry did this new cats eye color on me today and I love it! It was my first time trying cats eye and I am in love. It is stunning. The pictures don't even do it justice. Emily always give me the best pedicures & massages, and is just the sweetest person. Everyone here is fantastic though! The older woman who did ny pedicure was great and all but the language barrier was brutal and she literally spent 10 mins talking to someone else to get clarification on how to do chrome nails! Like how is this place even in business if you get stuck at chrome nails. I asked for dark red as my base color but she wouldn't do it, and just used black. It's so frustrating when you are excited to treat yourself and they claim to do all this stuff just to waste your time finding out they don't. AND they take soooooo long. They also seem very ANTI-BLACK. I'm mixed and one of the girls literally never did my manicure and left when I asked if I could just do regular manicure and not gel. And then when 2 non-black women came in, they immediately did theirs, and when I asked again they acted like it was the first time I even brought it up! Another time a woman (the last time I came in) asked me to pay upfront before my nails would be done, "becuase that's their policy" while the woman next to me paid AFTER her nails were done! Like do you think I'm dumb? Come on. I'm never coming back. Just a waste of time, if you want the nails you ACTUALLY want. Don't waste your money.

This place I have been taking my wife to this place for quite some time, some of the nail techs do a great job. What they don't do well is mind their manners. They speak poorly about their clients and they don't really understand that other people can understand their language. It is extremely disrespectful to be talking mess about the people who are paying for your services, especially when the employees believe that you can't understand what they are saying. So disappointing, I can't recommend this place at all, I would rather be in a place where I or my wife will not be criticized. This place is definitely not the place to be to be respected and appreciated by the employees. I would not recommend this establishment for anyone. I posted on google review, only to be deleted shortly after my post. Definitely chasing a good rating that is not deserved (in my opinion). Hopefully this does not get taken down like my last one. They have one star because I can't give them none. read more

I had to give 1 star to write this review. First 2 times I came here they did a good job. This last time was horrible. I showed nail tech a picture of how I wanted my nails. Henry was in such a hurry he rushed through them. I had a very important event to go to that evening. I did not have time to have redone.They were so thick and bumpy I left in tears. It is so frustrating to keep having to remind them throughout manicure what you're wanting to be completely ignored and them having an attitude towards you. Speaking in a foreign language the entire time of your visit. It's obvious they are speaking about you when all other techs are looking at you. Very disappointed. Will not go back again read more

Okay mind you. I don't ever really give any reviews unless I think the business deserves it. I drive about 35 mins just to get my mani and pedi with Henry and Amy. Both have been the best techs... not to say that others there aren't because I've had other techs there too but these two I enjoy my visit. I think those who have low reviews are either having a bad day but I can't think of a bad visit with this spa. I've been coming to Apple Nail & Spa since 2018, and I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. In my opinion, it's the best nail salon in San Diego! The staff is always friendly, professional, and does amazing work. My nails last for weeks and always look beautiful. Even though I live about 25 minutes away, it's absolutely worth the drive every time. The salon is always clean, welcoming, and provides consistently excellent service. The location of the shop is really convenient and the work they do is very very good. Please try this business and when you do ask for Henry or Mimi. Flashback to the first time I went there, I asked the nail tech for a certain design (picture attached...like a double-lined French tip) and she said she couldn't do it. But then she went on to talk about how she loooooves doing nails and has been doing them for over 20 years. But she couldn't add a line to my mani???? Idk I was still trying to give her the benefit of doubt and maybe it's not as simple as it looks. Fast forward to this most recent visit on 6/19....$100 plus tip for a gel mani and pedi. *eye roll* but again...fine, I didn't want to drive down to Chula Vista, and I was only getting a solid color so I shouldn't have any problems. Less than 2 weeks later, and my gel is chipped. Sure I could've bumped a finger and got one chip somewhere somehow, but 3 nails had chipped by 6/29. I work from home, so I don't really do anything that would cause chips to happen so soon. If I'm paying over $100, i expect my nails to last AT LEAST 2 weeks...I feel like that's fair. In the pictures, some of my nails look much worse because I peeled them...but because I washed my hair and noticed the gel was lifting around the edges. Girlies...yall know the feeling when your hair gets caught in your nails Also, none of the gel on my toes have chipped...so kudos to the nail tech that did my pedi! Been debating going back to get them fixed, but honestly don't care to return to walk out unhappy again. Not a one star because the woman at the front desk is really sweet, and my pedi wasn't a complete bust.

I've only gotten gel manicures and while the color selection may not be as big as some other nail salons, she primarily uses OPI which is obviously good quality so she cares about your nails. Here they did an amazing job, nothing was cut, they were super precise, paid attention to all of the small details to ensure all nails matched. The basic pedicure comes with a hot towel for your feet. I also had an ingrown toe nail and they were so good about it. Didn't cut it down and let it grow out! I was so beyond impressed. I had one of the owners Rosa and she was so lovely and nice. They also speak English which made it so easy to explain what I wanted, and make an appointment. I was also 30 minutes late to my appointment and they still saw me! Inside was super clean, and the pedicure massage chairs were brand new, super comfy. So excited I found my new spot to get my nails done!!

This review is long overdue!…read more I've been going to Twinkle Nails for over a year now, and I honestly can't imagine going anywhere else. I always book with Thi, and she is absolutely fantastic. No matter what design, color combination, or random inspiration photo I bring her, she executes it flawlessly every single time. I've attached a few photos of some of the sets she's done for me over the past year because her work really speaks for itself. One thing that always impresses me is how healthy my natural nails have stayed. These are my real nails, and I only get gel manicures, so I can't personally speak to acrylics or some of the other nail services they offer. What I can say is that my nails consistently look amazing, last well, and receive compliments all the time. I've also had pedicures here and they've always done a great job. I don't have one specific technician I regularly see for those, but I've never had a bad experience

I kept this in mind for next time and made sure to state what I wanted up front. They do a good job here and I would recommend!
