Came in last Friday for an 8am mani pedi appt. Was kinda of irritated they started my toes then worked on another girl that came in and left me waiting then came back to me. So my service took extra long. It's was decent inside. I guess there is parking in the back of the building. Average pricing for average work. I don't feel like they took off much toe cuticles. The pedicure chairs aren't massage chairs, but they were still comfy enough. The pedicure itself was quick and done really well! The first time i came here they took theyre time and pedicure came out incredible. I decided to come again and because there were a few people that walked in after me and there were only limited employees working they rushed my pedicure and did a sloppy job. The cuticles werent cleaned correctly, the shape was off on every toe. Pretty disappointing that the service isn't consistent. read more

I was sooo excited to get my nails done- a set for a milestone birthday and my first in 2 years. I showed the tech the inspo pic and she said she could do it and seated me. Right when we got to color she asked to see the pic again and said she couldn't do it. I was rushed to find another design and when I picked the 2nd one she said she could do it. Then it came to color again and lo and behold- she couldn't do it. Another tech came by and I mentioned how disappointed i was having to pick 2 designs but both being turned down after they said yes. They tried the second design on one nail and it came out super cute! The next nails were sloppier and sloppier and the tech absolutely rushed through the set. She was flustered, nervous and doing her best. I went along with the set because they did try their best- they kept saying happy birthday and even gifted a hand lotion at the end. However I did leave a little disappointed, and not wanting to come back. It wasn't a relaxing experience and in the end I wasn't thrilled about how the design came out. 5/10 read more

There is dirt all over the floor, nail polish on the walls, window frames not cleaned, the appliance they use, they do not clean after each person, they just throw it in some water and then take it out and papers and clutter all over their desks. On my toes she just swirled the appliance in the blue water and took it out to dry. Worst place ever. This is my 1st one star review ... I've came here twice before , once for gel manicure and another time for a dip manicure and both times didn't love the end result so had not came back, despite the convenience of the salon being a short walk from my apartment. I wanted a basic pedicure this morning and twinkle nail spa was closed so I decided to just walk over here. I came in at 10:30 abd they started on my pedicure by 10:35. I asked for their basic pedicure with normal polish as I had a meeting at noon and wanted something quick. Well by 11:40 they were still not done.... It took two nail techs to finish the job bc the first one kept getting up and getting distracted. It took 40 minutes for her to finish painting all 10 toes Eventually she finished, had me pay and tip and told me I just needed to wait for my toes to dry. A different tech walked by , glimpsed at my toes and then came back and started cleaning up my toes and adding polish.. I told her I had to leave soon and she continued to clean up the priors tech work as she had done a messy job and then started to clip my nails ??? She finally added a clear coat and I told her I desperately needed to leave as it was almost 11:40 and I had came in for a basic pedicure as they are usually 30-40 minutes not over an hour. All to say I had to leave with not dry nails so I wasted an hour of my life. Go to twinkle if they're open instead of here! read more

Today, was a semi spa day as I am getting ready for a wedding tomorrow. It was last minute that my thoughtful beau offered to cover my mani pedi to help me relax and save time so I had to find a place nearby lady minute that was open until 8pm as I was doing my hair mid afternoon and didn't finish until 6:30pm! . I walked in to find one waiting for her feet to dry at a pedicure station and another woman being serviced at a manicure station. A woman with long light brown hair that has a red blonde tint and black rimmed spectacles greeted me and asked me what service I would like. I signed in on a clipboard and was ushered to a pedicure station with a plush arm chair and then offered a choice of beverage. I'm uncertain if the white wine cost more, but I was definitely dehydrated and went with the water. . They had two technicians complete my regular manicure and pedicure simultaneously. I kind of wish they waited until I was done with my pedicure, but I understand the idea of doing two things at once to save time. The gentleman working my feet did a great job, super high attention to detail, efficient and a steady hand. My manicure on the other hand, not so much. The tech missed some of the corners of my nail bed and I asked her to go over them, but it still looked messy. I expressed my concern to the gentleman doing my feet and he said the woman that greeted me would help. Ideally, I would have liked for him to do my manicure as well, but there was a slight miscommunication. She got to work with their tilted brush and some nail polish remover to make it look cleaner and although that helped, I saw the gentleman offer for her to wipe my whole nail and do it over as they spoke in their native tongue and she refused. It did look somewhat better and they were closing soon so I didn't make a fuss. . Service overall was great and I paid $55 with tip. They also accept Apple Cash, Venmo and other digital payments. I would love to get a gel manicure here and see if that standard is better compared to the regular. I'm wiling to coming here again. I did a walk-in for a gel mani and gel pedi on a Friday evening. The pedi was done first by the guy (didn't get his name). He mistakenly painted the top coat first instead of the base coat. He asked another nail tech if it was okay and she said it was fine as she had no issues before, so he proceeded. Then, my manicure was done by Jennifer (the guy's wife I think). It went well still looks good and is in tact. The same night (Friday) I got the service done, the gel on the pinky toe of my right foot popped off in the shower, which I got fixed the following day (Saturday). Then on Sunday, the gel on my left pinky toe popped off. Then Monday night, I lose another gel on my right foot next to the pinky. This time I do call in because I paid to have nice toes. Then right before I sleep, the one next to my pinky on my left foot falls off. I went in on Tuesday expecting them to fix the only ones that fell off, but Jennifer redid the whole thing, which I'm grateful for because I feel like all the gel on my toes would pop off with each day. So I guess make sure they're doing their thing correctly cuz using a top coat instead of base coat is clearly not the move. ‍ read more

Second time coming here-- both times for a soak off and manicure. Imagine coming into a nail salon thinking you're getting one thing and it ends up being the total opposite. I only gave them a second chance, because well, we're human, maybe the person had an off day. However, this second time around, another disappointment. My nails were chopped off, when I never asked for a cut! My nails are uneven, I was cut several times and the gel is sloppy. Mind you, my nails were naturally LONG and for my nails to now be minis it's rather infuriating. The woman who checked me out had the nerve to ask for a tip and when I said, "no you guys ruined my nails" I was given a rude facial expression and then the lady proceeded to speak in her native tongue. I'm not sure how this place has a 4.5 star rating, but personally this was my last experience with this nail salon. Everyone is very nice but the last two times I've been, it hasn't been good. First of the two, my technician rubbed my skin raw and 24 hours later, I had a scab afterward. The next time, I booked 2 appointments for my daughter and I. We were taken at 15 minutes late to a chair. My daughter was helped but I just sat waiting. I didn't get taken care of until they were done with my daughter. Nearly an hour after my appt. I am so happy that I stumbled upon this place on a random walk around the neighborhood in North Park. The place is very clean and well-maintained, and they take both appointments and walk-ins. I called on a Friday afternoon to get a spot for a gel manicure, and they took me in with open arms, on-time. They have every color you can possibly think of available to choose from. To top things off, they offer you a beverage (tea, coffee, water, wine) to really make you feel like you're getting pampered. I want to give a special thank-you to the superstar behind all this, Jennifer, who truly goes above and beyond in both customer service and the way she treats and speaks to her employees. My nails are beautiful, however I grow out my nails and get gel manicures and don't always have the courage to ask the nail technician to not only use the drill to remove my previous gel as that is highly damaging to natural nails and not considered best practice. Not only was it removed with the drill, the bottom of my nail (close to my nail bed) was filed down a tiny bit further also idk why. She's also very insightful and teaches me about proper nail care as she does my nails. The salon itself is very festive and changes decorations every season. There are hundreds of gel colors to choose from; I especially love that they have Asian jelly colors, which not every place will have!
