I've had a handful of bad experiences at other nail salons so I was reluctant to try a new one until my friend recommended Sandy nails. They were quick to start on my nails. I believe I worked with Helen. I got gel extensions short almond shape solid color for $65. She did not rush through the appointment and was very detailed and careful when doing the cuticle cleaning. She didn't try to force conversation which I appreciated. It was so relaxing I got sleepy. Their tools also seem to be well kept and clean. I would def come back again ! I really want to love this place but it is such a hit or miss. The first two times I came here for a pedicure, I was really happy with my service. The last two times I've visited for a mani/pedi, I've left so disappointed. I felt extremely rushed, even though there was barely other people in the salon. Rushed to the point that two of my nails bled pretty badly. The left hand was so bad, I still had blood in my nail hours after the service. If you need a quick pedicure, it's a convenient stop but I wouldn't recommend it any more than that. read more

Speaking a different language around your customer and not hold a genuine conversation with them is unprofessional. Do better. Went in for a basic pedicure, no color, nothing special. Specifically requested a " trim with a clean up." There was a language barrier between myself and the technician therefore, I asked the owner to please translate. Which she did, but then went on to tell me the " trim" would be an additional $10.00. I asked her what kind of magical math warranted an additional 10 dollars to trim my toes appropriately? She mumbled something about each toe costs money to trim . I expressed my displeasure as politely as I could and shared that her approach was not only unprofessional but unethical and nowhere on her " menu" for a standard pedicure does it list that cutting nails for a basic pedicure was 10 dollars extra. Can I just say the phenomenal service and nail techs? This is just such a great improvement compared to previous ownership in terms of service level and quality work from their nail techs. Eva was my assigned technician and was wonderful providing me suggestions of nail care along with proactively listening to the way I wanted my nails done making me feel welcomed and understood. The set of gel nails she did for me lasted more than 3 weeks and was able to maintain a glossy look two weeks in after my appt. Definitely will come back to visit again! read more

i've been there twice because it's within walking distance of my house and i'll go here when my usual girl is unavailable at a further location, the first time I win I got a basic white French tip and a week later the topcoat turned yellow the second time I got something I figured that couldn't be messed up. I just got a basic baby pink gel set, a week later the gel is so dull and there's these deep lines in them like scratches the paint is chipping in this never happens when I go to my usual nail shop. I would not come here again or use this place as a backup. I don't know what products they're using, but it's not even worth it. I'm so frustrated. read more

I don't like feeling as though I could have done a better job myself. I work in SpEd (special education) so any nail length beyond none won't work. I kept it simple. I waited almost a week to post a review. Wanted to see if they were going to hold up, surprisingly they still going strong with all I do during my workday. Both nail techs were gentle removing cuticles, not one "ouch". I wasn't impressed with the first color of blue 3 nails in and they fixed it, switched out for a darker blue without hesitation. Update: manager at least came to say she's not charging me for removal. Came here for years. Former nail tech Lily no longer works here unfortunately, I should've left when I heard. I came in on 8/8 for a gel manicure before vacation. They complimented me on the health of my natural nails and cuticles....then messed them up terribly. I was here for almost 2 hours for nails to be fixed. The women were at least kind. I still tipped 20% even though 1) my nails were ruined and 2) it took more than double the time because I agreed to do pedi & mani separately despite making an appt so the low staff could service someone else. I then came in to have the gel removed on 8/18 because they started peeling and lifting in less than 6 days while I was on vacation. They usually last 2-3 weeks. This is what my nails looked like while being proposed to. I was mortified. Got charged $10 for removal. Finding a new nail salon. read more

First time here and visited in a whim as I'm from out of town. The shop wasn't very busy but there was a bit of a wait for walk-in's as it seemed like there were only a few people working. I ended up getting "glazed donut" or "glass nails" from the new owner Amy. I can't speak for their nail extensions as I just got them done on my natural nails but they look great! Three nails lifted the paint after only a few hours because it was thick and gloppy. I go back the next day and one tore off again. I am enraged. I've enjoyed my experiences so far at Originails. My first time here, I had asked for french tip dipped nails which was a mistake on my part as it naturally will look more gritty than gel. Kim was very understanding when I reached out to her about coming back for a redo. The original nail tech met me at the front the next day and she sat me down to go over the dip with gel, after filing it down of course. The finished result looked much better and she was even apologetic about not telling me they looked off the first time around (I don't blame her, she probably thought I knew what I was getting myself into with french tip dipped nails lol).
