I just left this place and now need to go buy nail polish remover so I can take this terrible manicure off. And yes, I brought it to their attention, they could not have cared less. Pedicure is fine. But ugh the manicure, there is polish all over my cuticles, she kept messing up and then would just add more polish so it's all wrinkled and gross (see pic), the polish on my pinky got nicked and she just slabbed more polish on to try and fix it rather than fixing it properly. I happened upon this place while on vacation. I had two nail techs work on me at the same time. The woman who did my hands did an excellent job. I got gel polish on my hands and regular polish on my toes. It took four weeks for my hand polish to start coming off and she was very gentle--she didn't file down my already thin nails very much at all. They looked perfect; she did a stellar job! The man who performed my pedicure, well his work left a lot to be desired. The polish was very thick and took forever to dry. In fact, I had him redo a nail because it was damaged from just waking over to the dry station. The toe polish never looked right and it took almost 7 hours for the polish to become hard. In hindsight, I should've requested that he remove it and start over but I see it as my fault, not his thus the five star rating. read more

Today I needed a last minute mani/pedi service and found this place because it was close by. They accepted me as a walk in and I was immediately delighted. There were about 4 staff members present on a Sunday and two of them ended up working on me. They didn't engage in much conversation other than asking if I liked how they were painting it and whatnot, which was fine with me. From when they did talk to me they seemed very polite and sweet. My husband and I decided to give this place a try because it was right next door to where we had lunch on Sunday.... it looked clean and the people seemed nice. It's in a nice part of town so I figured they knew what they were doing... I needed my powder dip mani refreshed and they said they did it. The guy that did it was very nice... but I think the material he used was way too old because two days later I lost two of the nails... THE POWDER CAME COMPLETELY OFF ! This has never happened to me before... the last one lasted me 3 weeks I don't mind paying for something, but if you're going to charge 110 dlls plus tip for 2 manis and 2 pedis at least have decent supplies to do your work with... I've been a regular here for 10+ years. They can usually take me on a walk-in basis and all the staff are very friendly. Christine and Diane have been doing mani's and pedi's for me forever! I also get leg and brow wax services on occasion. I recently started getting gel manicures from Nam and he is fantastic! He is so careful with my nails. He shapes them beautifully and always checks that I'm happy with his work along the way. He is thorough and my gel color last at least 3 weeks when he does it as he never rushes and is meticulous in his work. Highly recommend this salon for a great basic manicure. read more

This place does not do acrylics. This is what several of the staff members told members told me . If this isn't the case they where passing judgment because I was wearing a revealing tank top , anyways not a good reason to be rude or lie about services. I recommend going to The Hub Nail lounge right up the street in the Ralphs parking lot . I have to say this place is awful!!! The woman doing my pedicure stopped every 5 minutes to check her phone and text.....she was on the phone when I came in and continued to talk while I was in the chair...then the manicurist came in to do my mani while I was getting my pedi...I was getting shellac so he set the UV machine on my lap ....It was very dangerous..it was plugged in and turned on and barely teetering on my lap while my feet were in water...if the thing had slipped I would have been electrocuted..so it was unnerving for sure...I even asked if I could set the machine on the arm of the char and he said NO....it was ridiculous....they were not busy...I was the only one there....I would have had no problem having my nails done after my pedicure.....and they were speaking very loudly in Vietnamese back and forth the whole time...was not relaxing AT ALL....and the woman used a pummus on my feet that was not disposable and looked very worn...I had to wonder how many other's skin cells were trapped in this thing....I asked her about it and she just smiled and said it's fine....I am in the business and I can tell you so many things were NOT up to State Board standards!!!! my mani and pedi look alright but it was a horrible experience!!!!! not worth the $40!!!!!! read more

I wanted this place to work. I really did. I gave them so many chances. I like the actual place. Super convenient , Clean and bright. I was a very regular customer. Not one person ever remembered my name. The women who worked there were lazy. Lots of the girls started using the electric drill to file off the top layer of the gel to remove it. They all had different reasons as to why it was better than a regular nail file which was b.s. Most of the manicurists preferred to look you up and down from their chair and quickly laugh and giggle to each other in another language, rather than get up and say 'hello- how can I help you'. The services were not consistent. I liked the way one girl did my nails and when I requested her again she did a really crappy job 2 times in a row. Ok, got it .Next. The last time I went in I could not believe what the woman had done to my nails. Red nail polish was all over my fingers. On the cuticles, on the tips. I was so upset. I asked the manager to speak with me outside but he didn't understand me. I showed him my hands and he smiled really big at me and said ' she didn't wear her glasses! We tell her to wear them all the time and she forgets!' I had to sit for another 35 minutes while another woman picked, filed, rubbed and cut the excess off. They still charged me $35.00! This place is horrible!Place is definitely not up to state board standards.First,She walks me to chair the tile around the chair was covered in black dirty feet marksThe woman put me in the chair,she did not disinfect the whirlpool foot tub.I asked her she just said"yes,I did" I watched as the woman got up before me and she did not clean it.Then,they had no hot water she tried making me put my feet in freezing cold water,until I told her no,it's cold.She did my pedicure without water just splashing a little when she needed to clean off from the pumice.All the woman were shouting to each other in their native language. it was not peaceful or relaxing at all.While I was there a woman came in asked for a fill they told her to come back in a half in hr.she did,everyone ignored her,they did not acknowledge her .She asked when can I get my fill?you said half hr.If you can't do it that's fine please let me know I have been waiting.The woman shouted at her "It will be 10 more minutes!" The woman left.It was so unprofessional,and very sad.My manicurest hands were so shaky I was scared when she was cutting my cuticles,my nerves were seething.The towels they used in the pedicure and manicure were freezing.I could not get out of this place quick enough I even messed up a few nails because I did not want to wait there another minute to have them dry.The best part...
