Apple is a completely untrustworthy company. Refused to honor the warranty without reason.

This is the 2nd time i came here this week. The store wasn't too busy today and they were a lot of employees there but no one approached us to see if we needed help, like usually. They were just standing there, till I asked for help. Amir helped my bf and I and he was very helpful and nice. I give him 5 stars but 3 stars for waiting for help in apple. The store was closing and he helped us with our purchase even after they closed, we didn't feel rushed at all. He made sure we had everything all set from the purchase to the rebate. And he showed us how to sign up for the one to one, didn't have to try to figure it out ourselves. Overall: apple service is just ok but Amir's service was awesome read more

We recently went into the Oakridge Apple store to have my wife's apple watch repaired. Seems the Version 2 watch glass face became separated from the aluminum bezel due to the deterioration of the battery causing it to swell up pushing the glass face outwards. Our appointment was at 1:20 PM, and we were helped almost immediately by an apple associate after sitting down at our assigned table. She explained the process of replacement and cost. After we left the store I couldn't help thinking how well organized, effective, and efficient apple is in supporting their products. While I hated paying the $80 for a replacement watch, the process for service was impressive. read more

Ridiculous Apple store ever, they use to be very good at customers service, but now is unacceptable. So last month I got appointment with Genius Bar, bring my AirPod and my phone to repair. After I get in the guy said only can help me with one item cuz only 1 appointments, I said ok fix my AirPod than since my phone got warranty to Jan . Than he just cleaning my AirPod and give back to me said 65$ each replacement, I was like dude u haven't do any trouble shooting or anything. I should had just get my phone fix instead of getting him telling me 65$ each without doing anything to my phone . Than here again today went in without appointments, the line said walk and the other line said appointments. I go to the walk in than they told me no walk in , I ask is it full ? All Apple stores are crowded but this one is more crowded than the others. Employees seemed stressed and short, I will avoid.

I came to this store looking for Apple Watch bands and I had the worst experience. Employees bombard you immediately upon entering and some guy, I'm assuming a security guard, came running towards me yelling "ma'am, ma'am!! You can't take the Apple Watches off of the displays!" When a previous employee had directed me to the two tables in the middle of the store when I told them I was looking for Apple Watch bands. I realized very quickly that the watches on the displays were firmly glued to the stand, and I wasn't trying to remove them, I was looking at the bands; and then I had some man yelling and running towards me. It was not only embarrassing and frightening but after the fact, I had 4 employees around me at all times which made me feel SUPER uncomfortable. It felt that they thought I was trying to steal the watches! It was a terrible experience overall and I will not be returning. AWFUL service. I went to go purchase an apple watch and the worker who was assisting me would roll her eyes and would act annoyed every time I asked her a question. She also forgot to mention that the current apple watch only supports iphone 6s and up. I was aware that my iphone might not be compatible, but I read things online suggesting otherwise. Very disappointed with the customer service here. I've been having trouble with my Bluetooth on my iPhone 6s (yeah I know, my phone is old). It won't connect to my car nor anything I have that has Bluetooth. I tried to make an appointment online but apple's reservation options suck. It only gives you one time and date for each Apple store that is near you. So I figured maybe it won't take me that long if I just do a walk-in. I was wrong. I get to the store and the guy that is checking everyone in tells me that it will be a 2 hour wait since I'm a walk-in (FYI this 2 hour wait is JUST so I can TALK to someone about my Bluetooth problem) 2 hours is pretty ridiculous but whatever I gave my name and he said I'd get a text when to come back. I figured since the store is in Oakridge I might as well go around the whole mall. Finally I get a text after 1 hour and 50 min saying to come back. I check in, and it's another 20 min until someone came to talk to me. I explain to the Asian male employee my Bluetooth problem so he goes ahead and runs a diagnostic test. While we're waiting for the test to finish, I ask him if my Bluetooth isn't working because my phone is old? Or is it because I updated my iOS? He says "No, it's not the system. And there's plenty of other people who have older phones than you and their Bluetooth still works." Then the diagnostic test is complete and he shows me that it says there's something wrong with my Bluetooth. I KNOW CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! That's why I came into the store in the first place, not for you to verify it!! I ask him do you know why or why it say it's not working? And he just shakes his head and says no. Already being annoyed, I ask politely how much would it cost to fix it? He says $299 plus tax. HA! No thank you. I'd rather spend that $299 on a new phone! He then had the audacity to tell me "Well you know, $299 isn't a lot for other people." I was furious. He went on to asking me "And do you REALLY need your Bluetooth?" That's when I couldn't take more of his stupidity. Of course I need my Bluetooth!!! Especially for my car! 1. It's really annoying having Bluetooth in your car and not being able to use it because the Bluetooth on my phone won't connect and 2. It's important because I don't want to get a ticket because I had to take an important call and had to hold my phone or even worse...get into an accident! I wasted 2+ hours of my life just for an Apple employee (I wish I got his name) to tell me my Bluetooth isn't working and try to sell me on a $299 repair (which might not work again). I'm surprise he wasn't trying to sell me a new phone since i had said I'd rather put that $299 towards a new phone. This whole apple experience was pathetic. Will never come here again! read more

It's hard to believe that a visit to this Apple Store on 05/03/18 could be so disappointing. I might have given them a reluctant 2-Stars if we had dropped in on a busy weekend. But this was a Thursday evening around 7:30. There weren't too many customers in the store. We had received good customer service and technical help many times in this store before. We hope that this experience was an anomaly. We were at the Apple Store to pick up the new HomePod that my husband ordered from Apple online. It was to be his Mother's Day gift for me. We had tested its amazing sound and "intelligent" capabilities at our son's home. But his is colored Space Gray, and I thought the White one might be a better choice for us. So off we went to this Oakridge Mall Apple Store. Our goal was to find out more about this incredible system and also to see whether I'd still prefer the white one over the gray. A greeter was helping someone else when we arrived, so we signaled one of the two employees chatting nearby that we needed assistance. We told her that we came to pick up an online order. But first, could she show us the white HomePod and also answer some of our questions? Well, how did she do? Let's put it mildly: Not up to par. We noticed that the white HomePod appeared slightly dirty, not exactly white. Could it be soiled from over-handling? Curious, we asked about the material of the outside layer. She touched the device a couple of times but avoided answering, even after the question was repeated. We then asked about care and cleaning methods. She replied, "Wet cloth with detergent." What detergent? "Dishwashing." Huh? I remembered Apple Support online mentioned cleaning with a dry cloth. And if necessary, use a damp cloth. The use of wet cloth was never mentioned. Asking her to repeat her answer might have displeased her because she placed one hand over her hip and gestured with her other hand as though she's lecturing us. She kept talking over us, even showing us a face when told that we only have an iPhone 6, not the latest and the greatest. We asked a few more questions but quickly concluded that this person needed more training. Don't know what's worse, the bad attitude or the lack of basic technical knowledge (regarding the HomePod). She even gave wrong answers when asked about changing volumes. Did she assume we came totally clueless? Actually, we had read up on the HomePod before we came. By now, it was getting frustrating. If this is how she treats a customer who had already ordered an item, how poorly would she treat one who's just looking? It was soon clear that getting any real help from her was not possible. We then headed towards the back of the store to inquire about cancellations. Luckily, it was easy to cancel this order. Order canceled! We didn't pick up what we came here for. No HomePod for Mother's Day for now. Disappointing! read more

Never thought I would be venting about anything online, especially if it's Apple. I had nothing but a complete disappointment. Apple has always been pride for it's customer service and what I discovered today proved that to be false. I had a display defect on the iphone 11 and could not touch anything. Mind you I only have had it for 3 weeks and it hasn't drop or been in extreme temperature. I was terrified since this was my first time having screen glitches over the pass 7-8 years using Apple/ smart devices. I walked in the store and was greeted by this guy wearing apple red t-shirt and a black jacket. He immediately made me feel like my worries were invalid by saying the technicians were all booked up for the day and that I should come back tomorrow. I was petrified by his "solution" for me. I told him that I did not think twice about booking an appointment because my phone just broke down on me suddenly, it was not like I planned to have my screen messed up! He gave me the same answer that he understood my concern but there was nothing else they could do even though I told him I have phone calls I needed to make tonight. He referred me to the store manager, who was also wearing black jacket and has blonde, wavy hair. In short she gave me nothing new except for the wait time for other stores nearby. Lol now that I think about that, she didn't even give a damn care about the phone situation and only went on to explain the stores policy. It was late, around 6:50pm so I was very worried that I might run into the same situation at other stores. I asked if she could do me a favor and called other stores to make an appointment for me because my phone was basically useless at the point. She said SHE COULD NOT y'all. As much as I could respect her effort for being in a manger position, she was no more than a front door greeter to me. Sorry if I was being one of those frustrated customer who has issues with their newly-bought device, but if they promised to deliver customer service I think they better deliver it. Leaving customer unhappy walking out of the door, you've already failed no matter how many you've satisfied. Not yet, she said to me "Goodbye" in the most irritated tone you could imagine. I was in a complete heat and I told her "Wow that tone tho, such good customer service!" Only if my phone was working so I could record. If the company was going to do employee evaluations, please do a check on the security camera and the manager's attitude on December 26th, 2019 at around 6:45pm. Unbelievable! The thing was when I arrived to the Los Gatos location, this greeter lady in short hair with glasses immediately lighted up my hope by doing some reseting trick. Little help like that adds up! At least then the screen could react to my command even tho the display was still flickering. I was connected to a technician later and we discovered it was a hardware defect and they had my screen changed. Let's face it, if you take away customer service, Apple is just an overpriced company. So please be very careful when you coming to Apple Oakridge cause you might end up even more emotionally broken. read more

What a clusterf*ck and shitshow in this store. I came in here for a diagnostics on my macbook, and the customer service was really horrible. After finding someones to check me in, I wasnt called until 30 minutes after my appointment. It was so chaotic in the store, they had a coding class for kids and elders going on and it really creates chaos in the store. I don't know why anybody would want to buy from this store, poor customer service and too much going on for the employees to give you their full attention. A Death Spiral Reversed With Humor... We had a problem with our Apple iMac...iPad and iPhones. Every time we tried to sync them with each other and the "icloud", we succeeded on one machine only to get an error message on another. It was like a death spiral. So we made an appointment to talk with someone at the Genius Bar in the Apple Store at Oakridge. We brought everything with us, including the 27 inch screen iMac, to the store at 1245 PM on an early Saturday afternoon. A few minutes later, a young guy ( maybe 30? ) named Gus came over to help. During the next 45 minutes, Gus patiently examined the system on each piece of equipment, made adjustments to help improve communications and suggested other changes to enhance performance. Despite our initial frustration, Gus maintained his good humor and explained the reasons for the problems and peculiarities of the Apple operating system. We walked out of the store feeling much better than when we walked in and understood why things can go wrong...even with the relatively user-friendly Apple-based equipment. Gus gets an A+ from us because he quickly diffused a couple of complaining customers with honesty, knowledge and a genuine interest in providing help. We never felt rushed and he renewed our faith in both the brand and value of their service. He even carried the heavy iMac back to our car in the parking lot outside the movie theater. I wanted to pick up an iPod for my hubby as a surprise. It was a weekday, close to 11am and it took me a good 15 minutes just to get someone to help me with the purchase. Plenty of salespeople buzzing about and, yeah, they were passively helping customers and I was ok with that. But it wasn't even busy like an apple store can be most of the time and my presence wasn't even acknowledged for a loooong time. I never have that problem at the store in Valley Fair. If I wasn't so intent upon buying the item at that moment, I would have left. I was finally able to make my purchase, but the salesdood was rushed and kinda speaking in riddles about how I would be paying for my purchase even though my card was obviously propped in my hand. I will probably still come here because it is closest to home, but the store at Valley Fair is bigger, has a larger selection of gadget accessories, and has very prompt, friendly customer service. read more

I've brought my computers here on the rare time when they need help. They always repair reasonably, fairly-priced and promptly. They've solved an iPhone issue for me. Gratis. I'm always asked if I need assistance. If I say I'm looking, no one bugs me again. If I ask for help, I always get it, even when it means recommending other businesses (which impressed me). They're good to me, so I'm good to them. When I buy again, Apple will get my money, and this store will get more of my business. read more

I experienced horrible service here on a Friday night. We had to wait in 3 different lines only to be told there were no openings at the Genius Bar for computer help. We just bought a brand new lap top 4 days before there and purchased the expensive warranty. Didn't make any difference to them at all. Then to add insult to injury the genius person smirked and said well of course computer help is busy on Friday nights. Guess I'm too old, I used to go to bars, concerts and fun events on Friday nights, not computer advice and help. Would have been a lot more transparent if the first person just said we are overloaded tonight, make an appointment or come back at such n such time. Not a lot of honesty at this place and employees appeared disgruntled. I won't be going back to this Apple Store ever. read more

Wow, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I am an IT Manager, so I know my way around computers, and also need mine most of the time. I had an expanding battery, and since it was under warranty I brought it in for fixing. I brought it in on a Friday evening after work(4pm) and was told they would ship it out Sat and should get it back Wednesday. Ok, not the best, but I can make due for a few days. Call in on Wed, and they tell me No, the computer will take 5 business days, so it won't be back till Friday! Damn, now I'm down for a whole week! I get an email from Apple repair on Friday that they just got my computer and we're going to START working on it finally! WT... I call on Monday to find out if they have the computer, figuring they would fix it on Friday and ship it out, so should be there Monday, only to get told that they have already received their shipment in today and it wasn't there, so maybe Tue! Now it's been over a week and still no computer! They say they will call me when it comes in. I'm not watching my personal email, and they send me an email that it's ready for pickup, and no call. I would have taken it to another company that would have replaced the battery in one day if I would have known I would have been out of a computer for a week and a half! read more

I boycotted apple as long as I could. I got my ipad 6th generation as a gift last year and did not keep the gift receipt because I figure I was going to keep it. I have not used my ipad in months. I got so use to using my finger print to sign into my ipad, I forgot the actual password. The ipad did some updates and of course my finger print to sign in did not work. It was asking for my pin. I tried signing in so many times that I got locked out. I called customer support for help, but the response I got was I needed the original receipt for them to even help me because for security purposes they want to make sure I did not steal the ipad. I told her I got it as a gift so I did not keep the gift receipt. She said yea, usually people dont keep the receipt or gift receipt, but their was nothing she could do. Basically, she said I can no longer use my ipad and that its useless. The next day, I brought my ipad to the apple store hoping that the technician support could help. I got Kevin. I told Kevin what had happened and what the girl at tech support told me over the phone. I also told Kevin my boyfriend had got it for me as a gift and that he got it at target. I no longer have the gift receipt and my boyfriend no longer had the receipt. Kevin insisted that Target can print out receipts up to 3 years of purchase. I've never heard of Target keeping receipts for customers and keeping it in there systen up to 3 years. It sounded absurd to me. Even though I had my apple ID, Kevin was not much help. He said there was nothing he could do unless I had proof of purchase and said my ipad is useless to me as he walked away. I was speechless. I explained what kevin told me to my boyfriend and of course we were both fraustrated and he was mad. My boyfriend went to target and the girl at the counter told him target does not print out receipts for customers. They can only check if the ipad was purchased at Target. I even went through the process of changing my password through the app. When I put in my new password it asked me for a pin #. I got a pin# with Kevin's help, but that did not help. I am still locked out. So instead of helping me, tech support assumed the ipad was stolen, gave me misleading information and will not help me unlock my pad so I could use it. Customer service sucks! Tech support sucks! Last apple product I own and will continue to boycott apple. read more

Great apple store! Walked in and was helped right away. Took 20-30 minutes to diagnose my iPod. I came as a walk in appointment (for AirPods only) and waited about 10-15 minutes for a tech to be able to help me. The tech was fast and able to diagnose what was wrong with my AirPods immediately. read more

Worst customer service, approached the person standing in the front , Kevin, asked him that we wanted to buy an Apple Watch, he gestured and said rudely "wait there". Nothing happened for several minutes of waiting, we approached another apple employee who was just standing around and she said wait for Kevin, the rudest of them all. Needless to say we left. I guess it is of no consequence to Mr Kevin, that customer needs to be treated better, to have better manners or to actually be a little polite . Worst customer service ever. One of the Apple Geniuses was extremely rude to me and told me to not to interrupt him while he was talking as I was trying to explain to him the warranty information as stated in the website. He interpreted it differently and wouldn't listen to me even though I already spent an hour with Apple customer support and them saying they will honor it. This genius would just read the warranty information loudly and slowly like I don't know English. Racist f**k! Then pretty much told me that my only option is to pay the full price for a replacement or walk home with nothing. I complained to Apple's Customer's Relationship department afterwards. This behavior should not be tolerated. I went to the Stevens Creek Valley Fair Apple Store the next day. Smooth transaction and friendly. Don't bother going to the Oakridge Mall's for any customer support unless you get a kick out of being treated like sh*t. read more

My iMac last 2013 worked before Mojave, updated to Cat, last year it was taken to apple store Genius Bar, so it was checked and now it is in the trash, I bought new Mac Mini 2018, but I stupidly used a time machine backup but it made my Mini so it the same as iMac 2013. I used my iPhone 8+ Apple Watch 5, and iPad Air 1 worked with my iMac before Mojave. When I restarted the Mini it didn't show my desktop pic, didn't showed some apps and it didn't login with my Apple Watch. I wiped the drive I tried to use out WiFi I used code but it didn't work I also tried to hit the D key for the diagnostic but it didn't work. I chatted with Apple support 8 times also didn't work my Apple Watch 5. I just wanted everyone to know this Apple help is trash.9 read more
