Hit or miss service. Sometimes they'll go beyond and make sure to ask me if I need any assistance or information on products. On the other hand, sometimes they'll completely ignore me even if they're free and just talking to each other. Did notice though that they only give superior service when I'm here with family and subpar service when I'm alone and with my school bag. Coincidence or just my imagination I have no idea. However when they do give that superior service, you can tell the difference from any random retail worker. They really are upbeat and try to get to know you better and/or get you engaged with the product/past products you have. Location in regards to the mall is... probably good for the store as it's beside the food court so they'll get a lot of foot traffic, but terrible for customers. The parking lot that has the entrance for the food court is swamped nearly at all times from after 11 am til late night. I'm a lazy person so it sucks having to park on the other side of the mall near Sears(where parking is plentiful), if I'm only trying to do a single 5-10 min transaction here as it doubles the time I'm spending for no good reason. read more

My god what a terrible attitude these employees have. I walked around for a bit looking for someone that could help me because no one was approaching. Found this guy standing and doing nothing so I asked if he was free and he just about rolled his eyes. While I was browsing I overheard customers asking relatively simple questions that were met with little compassion and snarky responses. When I asked my questions I was also met with exasperation and a "holier than thou" attitude. I arrived 10 minutes early and did have to flag down a person who took down my information and showed me where to wait. A bit later our turn came up and the same person came over to help. Her name is Beth, she asked questions about what I was there for and exactly I needed. I had different ideas but she showed me options and made suggestions that I am so happy with. I am writing this on my new phone with facial recognition (that I was sure I didn't want, couldn't use and worst of all no button to push) I was positive I couldn't learn to swipe. Chris helped me with the setup and I'm very happy about that. I know they say it's easy but to me it was a lot easier with his help. Horrible service. During Covid time: I was here at 10:50 waiting in line. I only needed to pick up two chargers that I had ordered for my iPhone. I just don't get how there can be 10 people standing around and they just stand there to look at me. Finally I asl again 10 minutes later and they said "they are looking for it." My advice is that you figure out how to make a more effective pick up process. The main reason we order online is to avoid lines and the wait. The visit I had today at Apple Oakridge mall was completely unacceptable. I understand that any Apple location is a busy place and it's a lot of work for these employees to meet the needs of all their customers. In spite of that, the experience I had today was completely unacceptable. There was NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, I was not acknowledged by a single employee for quite awhile and that made me feel totally isolated and as if I didn't matter, which is a horrible feeling. I had to track down employees just to be helped, there was a blatant disregard toward me. Whoever is managing this location, PLEASE teach your employees proper CUSTOMER SERVICE, no one wants to feel isolated and as if they don't matter and that is how I felt today. This doesn't represent Apple as a whole, it's only one location but the manner in which I was treated by the staff at Oakridge mall honestly disgusted me. You all need to better!! read more

I recently purchased the new iPhone XS in full and wanted to do a trade in. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone backed up. My sales person said I had 14 days to bring it back for my credit. At that point my iPhone 6s was worth $200 credit. I went back 11 days later and I was informed my iPhone 6s was now worth $150. Same phone just not worth the same as quoted. I spoke with a manger and he had the attitude of "it is what it is." The employees here need to either be clear with customers that "Apple can change the price at any time". Had they done that in the first place, I would have brought the trade in phone back the same day. Apple really needs to honor their quotes. You wouldn't bring your car to a dealership and be happy if your trade in was worth less because you brought it back later within the agreed time. This store does NOT honor trade in values. I was given a quote online and sue to a backlog order, I had to wait over a month to get my iPad so I could trade in my old iPad. Online it says you can drop it off for the same value but the store manager tells me it's a 14 day window which is untrue. Also, the worker who helped me was rude when I tried to get clarification, he says, what the hell is he supposed to do about it? Take it over leave it! Seriously?! Apple corp! How about training your employees better especially for the price of your products and services. Disappointed at Apple. Review for Garrett! I came in because my phone was lifting from a swollen battery. After I received a replacement phone I was left with uploading my information from my iCloud onto the new phone. Already frustrated and tired from being in their brightly lit store for 2 hours and not being able to access my 2 step verification Garrett came to my assistance. Thank goodness for her continued effort to help me retrieve my data. After 30 minutes of trying at least 3 different ways to give me access we finally were able to find a solution. Why so proud of working in such niche and big company but if you're not being helpful at all, what does it make you? I'd not be so proud at all. All of those workers who stood in front mainly just talking with their co-workers doing nothing. My main purpose going to this store was to buy an iwatch and I had to ask three people to help me sincerely. The two people who helped me before were just throwing task to each other. My phone has been acting weird and giving me many problems since I bought it at a Verizon store back in November. I walked up yesterday with no appointment and the gentleman at the front helped me immediately and showed me what the primary problem was before I even set foot in the store! Why does Apple continue selling the iPhone 11 Pro is beyond me. Go online and read the Apple Forum. Millions of people reported the camera issues. Why doesn't Apple toss those crappy phones away? They keep selling those to unsuspecting customers. That's so wrong. The first iPhone 11 Pro I bought from the store had seious camera issue. Verizon replaced it with another brand new iPhone 11 Pro and it too had the exact same issue. Apple tries to compete with Samsung in the camera department but they're not there yet. Stop selling defective products to the consumers. I came in few weeks ago and was met by this proclaimed manager by the name Seth or Steph. He was unhelpful, rude, down right dishonest. The worst customer support ever. He told me everything I read online could not be true, and flat out refused to help me. Those people arejust there to get paid and kill time. Not to do work. Walk in, and no one greets you. Look to your left, look to your right...there are employees everywhere, chillen. You flag down an employee because you have an appointment, and they guide you to a table in the middle of the floor to stand in some unorganized invisible line. Once they check you in, you sit at one of their tables and wait for your name to be called. One of the employees then takes notes about your incident, and then you have to wait again for a genius to help you. As I wait, I see 15 employees on the floor. To paint a picture, one guy is dancing to music he's playing on the loud speaker, three are talking among themselves in a circle shooting the shit, and one guy keeps walking around past customers acting like he's looking for something. Is this why Apple products cost so much? They have to pay 15 people on the floor at a time, and maybe 3 of them are helpful. I'm not trying to complain but, damn. read more

Looks like I'm not the only one who was treated badly at this location. We went to the store today to buy a wristband for my wife's watch. There was only 1 sales at the watch table and for some reason she was talking to the guy in front of us for more than 30 minutes. It certainly didn't seem like that guy was there buying stuff but more like getting information about the watch and various kinds of wristbands. During our wait, a few random apple store guys/gals dropped by, smiled, and left without even asking can I help you. They seem just roam around the store, smile to people, and that's pretty much it. Hello? What kind of service is this? At the end, I grabbed a guy who dropped by the table a few times previously and asked can he help us? And he said no. He said you have to wait for that sales girl to finish talking. At this point, we were so fed up and we just left. Really no point in making an appointment at this location... doesn't matter! They don't honor your appointment time anyway. I made a 3:05 appointment, when checking in the girl said they're a little behind 5-10 minutes, no big deal... I appreciate the heads up. I waited till 3:45 then asked someone walking by with an iPad in their hands (looking real "important") so I asked her how soon can I expect to get help? She said soon, someone had picked up my appointment time from the queue but hadn't called my name yet. Turns out chick was helping someone else out with a purchase. That's cool, but why pull my name out the appointment queue only to have me wait and help someone else?! At least if she left my name on the list the next available overrated "genius" would be able to help! chick calls me over with no intro and asked what's the problem? As I'm explaining to this chick she's listening and helping the other person still! Then she scrolls through her iPad and say here are my options without even trying to troubleshoot my issue. My option was to spend more money on a new phone rather than making an attempt to fix it! She took the easy way out, kept me waiting over 40 minutes, and provided me zero value in customer service whatsoever! Self proclaimed geniuses needs to re-evaluate their position. The associate I worked with was incredibly friendly and patient and professional. Walking into the store I simply wanted to just look at the watches. I asked him for some details and he went out of his way (even postponing his 10 Minute break) just to give me more information and details about the series 4 watch. Told me the difference between the 3 and the 4 as well as the different band options and colors. Walking in I put up a "just looking vibe" but after talking to and learning from Alec and seeing his professionalism and patience even though I had that vibe up (usually when someone says they're "just looking", a lot of times associates would acknowledge them and then walk off. In his case he could have just left and gone to break), I'm now a happy owner of the series 4 watch. Not trying to sugar coat or anything but I was SOLD from just working with Alec, props to him. What stood out to me the most was as soon as I approached the table display, a coworker (possibly manager) walked up to Alec and told him he could take his break. At that point I had just told him I was "just looking" and he could have just gone to break. EASILY. But he didn't, I even told him like "Hey if you want to, you could go to break, don't worry about me." But he told me that he was fine and just wanted to help me first (again, I had up the "just looking vibe" and to be honest at the time I was simply just looking. Wasn't really interested in buying anything). He was approached a few times by other coworkers and reminded about his break and after the third? Fourth? Time of turning them down, I decided I wanted the watch. Not only did his knowledge of the product sell me the watch but his professionalism and patience and customer service did as well. Even after selling me the watch, he continued to postpone his break just to help me set it up. Incredible associate. I'm honestly super stoked that I got to work with him and his customer service is 11/10 no doubt. I would recommend working with Alec to absolutely anyone, especially those who wrote not so good customer service reviews on here because Alec was great. Today, I arrived at the Apple store and signed up for a slot to see a genius at the genius bar at 6:40 PM. I did not want to waste time waiting too long for a semi-minor issue so I asked them how long it would take and they gave an estimate of 30-40 minutes. Sounds good to me, so I go walk around the mall for a bit. When it was 7:30 PM, I still hadn't received a text, so I went back to the store, and they told me to wait another 10 minutes (BASICALLY AN HOUR). 10 minutes go by and I get a text saying they are "ready" for me. This was at 7:40 PM. So they tell me to sit at the bar and wait for my genius to come out. It has since been half an hour and its almost 8:15 PM. Still no genius to be found. I am still waiting for them to come out now and I am writing this at the mac they have on the table because I am so tired and bored of waiting. And very frustrated. If they were going to take long/have a long wait, they should at least say so, instead of lying to you and making you wait 2 hours. TLDR: If you want help, be prepared to wait 2 hours after being told it only takes 30 minutes to get help. read more

I had such a wonderful experience here a few days ago. My camera and flash on my phone weren't working and I happened to be in Oakridge mall. I decided to drop by the Apple Store expecting it to be busy and thinking I would just have to come another day with an appointment. I explained my situation and they were able to set up an appointment for me 40 minutes later. I checked in at my scheduled time and was quickly helped by a man named Nelson. Nelson was extremely helpful. He explained everything he was going to do and everything he was doing at the moment with my phone. He was very patient with me and answered every question I asked him. It took a little while to reset, restore, and update my phone which was normal but instead of standing in awkward silence he started a friendly conversation which helped pass the time. The store itself is tiny and cramped; HOWEVER, they are actually moving the store to another location within the mall. It is expected to be a lot bigger with enough room for training and with more employees to help people. read more

Came to the Apple store cause my ancient 3GS iphone turned into a paper weight when I dropped it on the concrete. Got to the greeter and she took my time for an appointment...one hour later. Uhhhh. Not the news I wanted to hear but hey, what could I do? After wasting the hour talking to a AT&T rep at a near by booth (and running across Blossom Hill to the big AT&T store) my time came. Checked in and the tech came out pretty quickly. Explained my problem and he took my phone to the back. 5 minutes later, my 3GS arose from the dead and for NO CHARGE. Sweet! Left very happy until 5 miles down the road I noticed it took a big crap again! Long story short, the tech guy missed the problem (I got frustrated and took the phone apart and fixed it myself). Mixed feelings about this place. Everyone was friendly and even though I had to wait an hour, the place was friggin busy. And logging out etc. I asked ATT and we'll to bring this to a head it's been a long time since I got clear resolve! Marlin at Apple store walked me through solutions and changing. Where to go. And how to get there. Clear direction and very kind. Understanding of my "issues" I have been so stressed and Marlin was like the knight in aging armor. I am back in my gmail.
