    What's left from my breakfast!
    Lewis B.

Stopped in for the first time for breakfast this morning between biz meetings. This place is the bomb! Great local family cafe atmosphere. My Denver Omelette w/ a side of green chili was fresh, hot and tasty! The service from Vickie was amazing and I will definitely be back! So much to choose from on the menu.

I've driven by this place for sometime now, always amazed at the full parking lot. I know why now. Apple Ridge Cafe serves up some really great meals., with friendly service and hometown smiles. We were seated immediately at one of the booths. I mentioned to the server that we were new to the area and I quickly learned that Apple Ridge Cafe has been open for 40+ years, that the owner comes in early every morning to cut the steaks and prep for the day. She explained the specials and a few of the things they were known for. The Cinamon bun was a bit doughy for my taste, however, the hot icing was delicious - it was clear why that item is a standout. Breakfast of eggs cooked to order, and country sausage hit the spot. Hash browned potatoes were crispy, and a large portion. Sourdough, among other choices, toast. Yumm! Server told me that so far Apple Ridge has not raised prices, even with higher egg costs. This was a perfect breakfast. Great comfort food, exceptional service, comfortable seating -- just an exceptional diner. I'm going back for lunch.

This is really a great local restaurant I can't say enough about the good service and the variety of food and especially their early hours today I had the killariano enchilada beef enchilada plate and I must say that the Rihanna is definitely homemade marvelous crispy and filled with gobs of cheese next time I will order two of them but it on the enchilada I had the beef enchilada and yeah not so hot. Connie was my waitress today and as usual very very friendly and professional and efficient

I was in the area and wanted something to eat. Found this little cafe and it was packed! It's a very old quaint diner. I notice it does cater to the older crowd. Service was great. Quick and simple. It's a small dining room so it was nice to get my cup filled up as needed without asking. Definitely appreciate the staff. The busser was so nice flipping tables and making sure the seats were clean and wiped down. Food was good. It was a simple cafe breakfast that I can't rave about too much. However, the cinnamon roll was very good. Probably the second best I have had in Colorado. It beats that Johnstown roll that people talk about. Bacon was cooked but not over cooked. Just the right bite. The serving size it huge! Be ready for a carb load after you finish your proteins. Overall, if I'm in the area I'd come back for the cinnamon roll. It was super good and filling:

We just had our first visit to Apple Ridge Cafe on a Tuesday morning and were impressed by the food, service and the atmosphere. This truly feels like a neighborhood cafe where everyone is friendly and many customers must return frequently. The coffee was very good - not flat diner coffee. Service was quick and coffee refills kept coming even though they were very busy. I had a Matzatlan Burrito and it was loaded with fresh avocado and green chile sauce. This was a very enjoyable breakfast and we would definitely come again.

Fully remodeled Long- time diner in Wheat Ridge
    Bennett P.

I drive by this long time diner (42 years per owner Roy Jones) every morning during the week in Wheat Ridge. I noticed that they had closed for a remodel in mid February. After 5 weeks, they reopened this week with a new look. The outside and inside brick walls switched from tan to grey. I saw new brighter lights throughout. New floors, new booths, and my server said the kitchen was completely gutted and replaced with all new equipment. Their menu however stayed the same with some increased prices. My server, Vicky said the owner Roy Jones paid everyone a few hundred dollars a week to keep his staff during the remodel. Vicky greeted long-time customers who came in and remembered their favorites. I got a large OJ with the Mazatlan Burrito. The breakfast burrito was stuffed with bacon, avocado and scrambled eggs, then covered with cheese and green chili. It was served with a large portion of hot hash browns. They accept debit/credit cards and provide a discount for each time if you pay cash.

Cinnamon rolls and the crushed ice are the best things here. Everything else is mediocre and no credit cards accepted.

Our server, Salvador, is a great salesman and took excellent care of us. He talked us into getting the full bottle for the mimosas. It came with fries and I asked for a side of their roasted garlic aioli for dipping. The sandwich was delicious and I had enough to bring the second half plus some fries home for later. We had great conversation, food, drink and service. This is why we keep coming back.

Chicken Sausage: A standout lean protein choice--savory, flavorful, and a great lighter alternative to traditional pork sausage. There is a lovely patio and plenty of seating inside but this is a popular spot for good reason! Service is cheerful and expedient throughout. We started with the Mexican cold brew coffee and it might be the best coffee I have had in the area!! It was OUTSTANDING!!! Get it! It's the perfect blend of cold brew, horchata, sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon and I think I could drink it everyday!! We each ordered a skillet, I had the chili relleno skillet with chicken and pancakes for the side and they must be putting magic in those pancakes because they were special. I'm not a big pancake person and I couldn't get enough. They were fluffy and yet they didn't fall apart and I could taste the vanilla they use in the batter. The skillet was massive and delicious and the rellenos were crisp all topped with a hearty portion of expertly prepared green chili. My husband had a different skillet and modified it to add extra proteins and also the rellenos. They were happy to accommodate. What a fabulous brunch experience! I wish I lived closer! I would certainly be a regular! This place is fabulous!!!!!

Testament to good restaurant and popular neighborhood. This is a brunch spot so come ready for breakfast and/or lunch grub. We were hungry and tried a bunch. The drip coffee & lattes were delicious (oat milk is available) and come in cute animal cups. We started with 2 of the sausage rolls which are akin to pigs in a blanket but much higher quality sausage in puff pastry served with syrup. Very good but nothing extraordinary. The small bite star is the spicy egg salad on crispy potato. These are divine with just enough spice to balance the creamy egg salad and insanely crunchy and delicious fried potato (like crispy rice but potato) We also shared a muffin of the day which rotates flavors. It was spectacular. The mortadella Sammy was fried and filling with a berry jam, cheese and egg. I had the egg over medium and it was messy in the best way. This is a sandwich to have extra napkins for. I'd 100% recommend it. The avocado toast was tasty and came with poached eggs (you can order one or two). Great food, service and vibes. We were lucky to have no wait (again, middle of the week so no weekend crowd). We were seated quickly and coffee was served promptly. I ordered the Pork Belly Jalapeno Benny and my son o the classic (eggs, meat, potatoes). Here is the complaint. We waited about 30 minutes for our food. We were not in a huge rush, but did have somewhere to be so this was not great. We specifically went here figuring a place that gets as busy as this would be able to push out food pretty quickly during slow times. We were wrong. The wait was way too long for two people. The star is knocked off for how long we had to wait. The waitress was great, but have to knock of a service star for food time waiting as it was way too long. Now, I try to hate this place, and the food wait was not a great look, but the food itself turned my review around. The pork belly jalapeno benny was AWESOME. Like, really good. Super tasty and flavorful. I really enjoyed it and it will make it hard to explore the menu knowing I can order that benny and be super happy with it. My sons order was very standard, and he enjoyed it. No complaints on his end. Other than an overly long wait for our food, the experience was great. We live nearby, and we will be back.
