I've only ever come here once and this was just a few days ago as my fiance bought me a new iphone from here and I wanted to upgrade to one with larger memory. Upon arrival during the weekday evening, the store was semi-busy. There were still plenty of apple workers roaming around. We were approached pretty quickly and handed off to a female employee who was going to help us. I don't remember her name but she seemed rushed and not very helpful while we were dealing with her. I told her why we were there and that I was hoping she could show me new features with the iphone 6s (as I was upgrading from the 4s).The only two thing she showed me was the new feature with iphotos and how it takes a short clip before and after the photo (she stated it was a "few seconds before and after" which I know to be untrue just from previous reading where it states it's "1.5 seconds" on either side). The other feature being the pop up preview on certain apps like imessage and mail. That was it. I had to ask about warranty and the construction of the phone. I even asked about the type of glass they used for the front of the phone and how prone it is to break if dropped to which she simply replied she didn't know and hadn't dropped hers yet. She didn't even attempt to find out answers. So it appears she did not have the best knowledge and overview of the phone and it seemed pointless to ask her anything else. I proceeded to go through with the upgrade which she processed. I also purchased a case to go with the phone which was another $40. All in all poor and disappointing customer service. If I could give a rating of zero stars, I would. I booked an appointment with tech support because my Mac would not turn on due to water damage. The tech support man I was assigned to gave me a list of items that would need to be replaced and the price it would cost - which came to $1200. My Mac is only 2 years old!!!! He then told me I should just purchase a new device from Apple. Later, I went to another repair company and they told me just the motherboard needed to be replaced and that they could do it for less than $200. I was furious with the service I received from Apple and what they told me. I then went on Google and searched if others had the same problem, and of course I discovered that there are so many lawsuits against apple for the same thing!!!!!!! Apple will tell you your device is impossible to fix, and it's better to buy a new product just to make a sale. This is very unfortunate because I was a huge fan of Apple products until now. Well just a heads up that I feel Apple is a shit brand. Talk about chaos as well, so many people in the store. It seems that service is tough to get as well as I am always asked to help out a customer there....ummm just because i wear glasses dosent mean I work here, am i wearing that corporate crap blue shirt? Nope then leave me alone. I cant blame people too much though because every employee there is occupied booked up, whatever you wanna call it. I cannot believe that people pay so much for the initial merchandise then have to spend more on the accessories to make that initial piece work. I noticed the prices on non Apple stuff has a huge mark up. Take the headphones. Ive seen the exact same pairs for about 20-30 percent less. This store is always busy. I'm here at 9 AM and even then there is a line up for people waiting to get in. The people here are generally very friendly and helpful which I like. The prices - well they are what they are. Apple products are known for their unwavering prices. They don't go on sale for the most part. Today, I came in here because my daughter's headphones had broken inside the iPod she was using. Luckily, she was able to get the piece out of the iPod otherwise the iPod itself would have been hooped as well. The fellow we were dealing with basically told us good job getting the piece out of the iPod and too bad for you - obviously it's your fault the headphones are broken and you're on the hook for new ones at a cost of $35.99. This whole process took all of 3 minutes and really could have been done by the person who looked at the headphones in the first place the day before instead of telling me to make an appointment to come back. If they weren't going to deal with it on a warranty issue and just chuck them in the recycling bin why bother wasting my time and have me return? I was impressed today with the service for sure. In fact, if you are going to take something for recycling - perhaps giving some credit for the customer to purchase in store would be a nice way to encourage them to stay and stop in the store? Instead, I went elsewhere and purchased a different brand as I just didn't want to be there anymore. read more

The Apple Store is chaos. Don't go in unless you have to. I order all my products online, so I only venture in when I need to have a Genius take a look at my iPhone or computer when something isn't working right. The staff is well trained and helpful, but you need to make an appointment or you could end up waiting for hours (or told to just come back another day). I'm an Apple loyalist, but I don't want to go anywhere near their retail outlets! read more

Their service and repair work is terrible, paid $600.00 for a logic board for my laptop,still didn't work, we were on holidays,took it to Apple Store in Hawaii and they told me, u need a logic board, I said I just had it replaced, they stated it had water stains on it,wanted $700.00 to fix it. Brought it back to Edmonton, Southgate tells me, u need a hard drive, $400.00 later and my computor is still doing the same thing. Sent emails to the store and do not get replies. They have a genius bar but I think most of them do not have a brain of a 5 year old. The charging port on my phone wasn't working. The guy at the Apple store said it couldn't be replaced and told me to go to Telus and buy a new phone. Disappointed on the knowledge of employee. I brought my little brothers phone in because it would not hold a charge. They said it was due to water damage and there was nothing they could do and the phone was toast. And it was 300 dollars to replace the phone. I told them the water damage was minor and it had happened 6 months ago and the phone worked fine after..although that didn't seem to matter. So my brother gave it to a guy as his work and he replaced the part that you put the charger in and it works good as before. Again and again, I receive excellent service here. Very rarely do I find myself waiting for help from the staff, and if I do they are quick to accommodate me if I wave someone down. Pre-booking an appointment helps, though I have always been served well when I've arrived unannounced. I've experienced an excellent degree of patience and help in answering any tech-y questions I've had about products I have considered purchasing, and more importantly, the Apple team have always beat my expectations in dealing with any issues with Apple products I've already acquired. That means something. It means a lot. The Business team is phenomenal, and a must see for any professional interested in setting up an account. Trust me, it's worth it. my husband bought i gift for my birthday -iphone 5s unlocked . I'm using it with Wind. It's working .Thank you so much. Oh and also if you buy iphone and want to use it with wind mobile make sure it says wind , not wind away .If it says Wind away you just have to change it in carriers from automatic search to manual and choose wind .it might take about 7 min to search for it and also your phone will work in about 10 min after you choose wind. I always walk by this store thinking its too busy to even walk in and ask a question. I was proven wrong twice. I walked in, and spoke with a friendly guy who booked me an appointment with a "computer specialist." It didnt take long in the cue and they have it so they can text you when your close to your appointment time. Book online or via store guy. I sat down and met the most friendly tech guy. He was patient as i pulled out all three of my devices and and explained to me what was wrong and what they would do to fix it. I did go in twice and i had no concerns. Devices are fixed and they didnt make me feel stupid. Whether under warranty or not, they did not have a problem with helping me out. Store is full of products and if you cant find what you are looking for, you can just have them order online or they can show you how to do it yourself. Their patience with patrons is amazing. I had my time interrupted by many and my tech was calm and redirected them for help elsewhere. No issues or concerns. I like the fact that its in the mall so while you wait, you can either grab a coffee, bite to eat or shop. read more

After being on hold twice for about 10 minutes they told me to go to the apple store locator on line and book an appointment myself. Thanks for nothing apple. I had a very poor experience here for a number of reasons. Firstly the store was chaotic and there was some kind of class going on for kids with a guy on a headset shouting and dancing and indoctrinating a bunch of 9 year olds into the i-cult. I wandered around until a green shirt finally caught my gaze and asked what I was in for. I explained that I had an appointment with the "genius bar" to fix my cracked phone screen that I had booked in advance. He sent me to the back and told me to sit and someone would be right with me. 15 minutes later a guy comes out and says he's not my technician but said they are busy and likely won't be able to get my phone repaired today. I asked what is the point of making an appointment and coming there to wait only to find out I wouldn't be helped? After a feeble apology and running down my options and prices ($170 for a new screen for an iPhone 6) and recommending I call Telus to see if customer support can get me a deal on a device upgrade. I said screw it and thought I would try my luck at the Telus store as my contract is up anyways. I ended up seeing the Rogers store first and stopped in there. I ended up switching to Rogers from Telus, getting a $0 down open box iPhone 7, saving $20/month on my phone plan, and not paying apple a nickel for a new screen. To top off the apple icing on the cake I was exiting the mall and it was a few minutes past 9pm but there were still about 20 customers in the apple store when I walked by. Their store front was wide open and no indication of their hours were clearly visible so I walked in. I was rather rudely intercepted by a guy telling me they were already closed. I asked if I could quickly look at a case for my iPhone and he begrudgingly said fine and walked over to the wall and pointed up and down and said "this row" and walked away as if he had an urgent fire to put out elsewhere. I was not surprised to see a basic case retailing at $55 and nothing really caught my eye in the minute I was looking and I could tell my presence was not wanted by the salesman so I exited as fast as I entered. I will not be returning to that madhouse anytime soon and if other locations are the same I will be avoiding them as well. But thanks for your poor service and lack of scheduling ability for saving me money in the long run by shopping at Rogers. read more

Apple's warranty for Iphones is that if anything goes wrong with it in the first year, Apple will replace your Iphone - but did you know they ONLY replace your Iphone with a used Iphone, regardless of how long you have had your new Iphone, their policy/warranty is that it is ONLY replaced with used phones! DONY buy Iphones unless you want to buy a whole lot of trouble. Their warranty is a crock and i have spoken to almost everyone i can at Apple and they refuse to replace my 2 month old phone with a new phone, they will only give me a used phone, because "That is Apple's policy". Everytime I go there, there is someone who thinks they are too cool for school. Apparently everything is done by appointments only although they where booked solid for the week and said they only accept walk inns, although again I would have to make an appointment. Then they wanted all this information they only seemed to have asked me for it, of course when I went to retrieve the information from my ridiculous phone company. They claimed ignorance towards the situation claiming they could not provide what Apple needed to pass whatever inspection they think they had to do. To provide repairs and a new phone. Although we all know Apples reputation, and I do not need id for them to completely revamp your device over the phone. I even had my sister call in to talk to them and they completely reset my Apple Id for her control. They claimed they could only do so much for me... well it even claims under manufacture warrenty, if I smash my phone with a hammer. You have to replace it. Nobody thinks you're cool, we are there to get our phone fixed to move forth with our lives and we do not want you to be apart of it either. Nice contracts as well. I printed them off a few times for my lawyer to view them. Who knew software had multiple terms of conditions and you guys are claiming its a fucking contract. I booked an appointment to get my cracked screen repaired(4 days old). Made sure when I booked the appointment that I stressed the screen is broken and was told no problem they can fix it right away. Get to this appointment (west ed) and am told they have to order the screen so I will have to book another appointment after Xmas. What was the point in booking the appointment if they didn't prepare for the broken screen repair. I mean if you know in advance someone is coming in for a screen replacement - would it not be pertinent to ensure you have the parts... i tried phoning the other local Apple Store (Southgate)to see if they had the parts in stock before booking another waste of time appointment and was told I have to book an appointment to be told if they have it in stock. WASTE of time- completely disappointed and will no longer buy or recommend Apple products. Am getting it fixed locally by a NON -Apple store for half the price and excellent customer service.
