It has taken me a long time to review this store because I have been quite nervous about doing so. Back in December I needed to have an item replaced as there had been a recall on the specific lot I had gotten mine from. I had waited 6 months for an appt as I live 3 hours away from the one in our current state. I flew home in December and spoke with a representative over the phone to get an appt and outlined that I could not wear a face mask due to a medical condition as outlined by the ADA. They told me I could send my item in through the mail but the first time I did that they were stolen off the mail truck upon delivery to our home. Anyways, long story short, I came to the store with a negative COVID test, explained that I had a disability as outlined by the ADA and was refused entry to the store without wearing a mask which goes against the government mandate as well as against guidelines as outlined by the ADA and falls under the category of discrimination. The warranty was running out on the item and I had no choice but to go into the store masked and spent about 45 minutes in the store sobbing uncontrollably because the mask makes me have panic attacks due to my disability. I know I will get a lot of flack from people who believe everyone should wear a mask but when I have a signed doctors note exempting me from wearing a mask you could understand that the situation was not just me saying I couldn't wear a mask but that it is a legitimate disability. This was discrimination and I know there's not really much I can do about it other than using my voice to express the overstep by the store manager. read more

Spacious & neat -- like every Apple Store. We made appointments to meet with Geniuses for our laptops (they completely broke down), and although we ended up waiting 10-15 minutes overall, the service from Levi (certainly a Genius) was so awesome, it didn't feel like we even waited. He was friendly, very helpful, honest, apologetic about the wait (even though again, he didn't need to be), knowledgeable, and just super nice. Even though he had customers waiting, he took his time to make sure our needs were met. We went in contemplating a change to PCs (both of our Macs completely broke down, and we lost nearly all of our data).. but left the Apple Store happy, with the decision to stay with MACs. If you need to get service from the Genius bar, definitely make an appointment... it was COMPLETELY booked on a Monday night with a 10-15 wait (even with appointments)! read more

I have yet to be in an Apple Store that wasn't busy and this one is no exception. Made my Genius appointment on line and was there 15 minutes early. They took me five minutes late. Apology was offered and that was all I needed. My notes were helpful to the Genius I was working with and he got started running troubleshooting on my computer right away and when it was done, Nate came over and diagnosed my issue and helped me resolve it. Overall, he spent about an hour or so working with me and of course there was some wait time, but transferring data takes time. When he was done, the system booted and I have a computer that works again. No charge shocked me and I was pleased. I will say that eye contact is important. There are times when I have been in this store and the Geniuses tend to walk by with their heads down, avoiding eye contact. It would seem to me to be a bit more customer focused if they did a better job at acknowledging customers back towards the Genius bar. Otherwise, a pretty great experience. I had the worst experience of my life here. The assistant who served me behaved rude, and very racist. I saw this attitude I told him that I did not like the way they talk. I asked him to call his supervisor, and said he was the manager, I asked an ID, but never wanted to show his ID. I asked his employee number and He refused. I got angry and told him that his services were the worst. And I got angry and we ran the store. On leaving he started harassing me behind me, and I asked why are you following me, you want to fight? and I was surprised by what He said was, "after i close the store you i can get beat your ass". 3.5 stars. The woman who helped me make a purchase the other day was condescending. If she was trying to sound knowledgeable and in control, she instead came off as aloof and arrogant. But she was very helpful and tech savvy, which was also important. I love my shiny new Apple product. Love the upgrade, no regrets! What's up with the store being super crowded all the time? I've never seen the store on a slower day. I get it, Apple's pretty neat, but most of the people inside look like they want to spend the day there, not leave anytime soon. My near three year old iPhone 5S was not charging so I went to the store to get it fix. It happened before because of dirt charging port. After making an appointment and going back 2 hours later to check it, the guy told me they cleaned it and it won't work and my option was to replace with a same model unit and the cost was about $300 and the warranty would be 90 days. Or better just buy a newer model new phone. I needed a phone immediately so just went home to find my another old phone to use. I then googled online, most solution was clean the port, it not working then reboot phone etc. I did reboot and it worked. So simple. Wonder why the Apple store worker could not solve it and wanted me to a phone on spot. read more

Do not buy apple iphones, especially xr phones. The glass on the phones are unstable and break without any type of impact despite being in case and handled with care. Apple refuses to replace despite phone being only 7 days old. I will never recommend an apple product to anyone ever again read more

I arrived at the store at 10:35 am CST checked in as I had already preordered the new battery for my phone. I was served within 10 minutes and told that my phone pick up time would be 12:45 pm CST. I arrived back at the store at 12:30 pm CST and checked back in. At this time I was told my phone was not quite ready but that as soon as it was done it would be brought out to me. At 2 pm CST no one had come to give me my phone nor update me on any delays. I informed an employee I had checked in an hour and a half prior and that my phone was supposed to be done at 12:45. It still took another 15 minutes for me to be served. If you want to waste an entire day go see them. If you value your time, find another store to go to. read more

I'll rate two stars because I've had relatively positive experiences at this store before, but today was downright disappointing. I must look poor today because I walked in the store ready to drop a significant amount of money (like as much as a used car, for crying out loud) on a Macbook, but not one person approached us the entire half hour we were in the store. We walked around, compared the Macbooks, talked about the Macbooks, decided which Macbook we wanted...but not one person ever greeted us or asked if we needed help. There were tons of employees standing around chit chatting with each other. If one of them had so much as acknowledged our presence they could have made a big sale. read more

Staff was much friendlier and much more knowledgeable than that of other apple stores. I honestly thought I'd be walking in with a problem and leaving with w problem and a complaint for corporate, but I actually left satisfied. My Apple Watch was seriously malfunctioning, and even though it did take quite a bit of time to fix (not the employee's fault), it somehow miraculously got fixed, and I didn't have to pay a single penny. Needed a repair on my phone and decided to drive to Naperville and wait because Apple support couldn't schedule me anywhere for an 4 days--who can go without a phone for 4 days when house phones are a thing of the past?! I'm so glad I decided to show up and wait! I got to the store about 10-15 min early and was able to set up an appointment. My MacBook crashed in the midst of midterms and thankfully I had the exceptional assistance of Jasan K. at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store in Naperville. He went above and beyond to load the content of my hard drive onto another computer and advised me on how to proceed to get my computer up and running. Again and again I have great experiences with Apple, but ultimately it is there outstanding team of professionals representing the product that keeps me supporting the product. Let me start by saying I am not the type to write negative reviews. I think this is the first I've ever written, actually. That being said, I felt it was necessary to warn others of this store. I have had two IPad Nanos go bad on me after a short life span. When I called Apple service online, they recommended going to the store for repairs. Both fixes were supposed to be "easy" and "free of charge." Needless to say, upon entering of the store, this was not the case. The employees were condescending at first, although ultimately they agreed to work with me, but only after much debate. I am not the type to get worked up, but I was so frustrated I was near tears both times. My limited experience with Apple has not been pleasant, and I doubt I will buy future products. If they cannot fix/take care of their customers on "easier" issues, how would they react with more tougher and more expensive ones? Don't care to find out read more

I can't say thank you enough for what these folks did for me this evening. I have a 27inch 6 year old iMac. I was under pain medication from a kidney stone and slipped a micro sd card into my superdrive. I was devastated figuring i killed the drive at least. Well not only did they retrieve the sd card but also retuned my computer for no charge. The store is clean and really fun to visit. The staff is pleasant and polite. They have a great place for the kids to play on iPads, and the staff is pretty good with the littles ones, too. The place is usually very busy, and it can be hard to get service. Make an appointment if you want help with your products, and be prepared for them to run late. My wife went to exchange her phone cuz she cracked the screen. Pays for the replacement cuz she has the Apple care, they transfer her iCloud backup to the new phone but said they couldn't connect the cell service which is BS cuz they did it for my phone when it was replaced a couple days earlier for overheating. So she didn't have a phone for a couple days cuz she had to go to a sprint store to get the phone registered and had to get new sim card and all because they had to hurry to get to other customers even though they got like 5 guys standing around doing nothing! I took my sons iPhone to Best Buy for "no service " issues. They told me it was a bug Apple knew about, and that they where replacing all affected phones, but it would take 5 days to get a replacement however an Apple store could replace the device immediately. Since it was 2 hours to closing I called the Naperville Apple store to ask if I would be able to get it done tonight, the rep that answered the phone was very friendly and promised if I came in he would make sure it got taken care of. When I got there it was a completely different story. The first rep said there was no openings and nothing he could do, and at least a half hour was not that far of a drive. The manager kept insisting that I must have been routed to Apple care on the phone even though the rep told me they were in the store and that the store was across the street from Lou Malnatis, and also told me the trick to getting someone from in the store was to ask the automated system for someone by name (any name) to trick it into routing you to someone in store. I have always had great experiences with Apple service but this was so bad it honestly will make me consider going back to Android if I can figure out how to get my playlists from Apple music into Spotify. read more
