Worst experience here, system seems confused and the staff seems confused as to who actually needs help and who doesn't. We came for one reason and it was the front facing camera which was not working on my finances phone. This has gone through many hands and it was not a software issue, but a mechanical one. What should be a very very simple replacement, became us waiting and waiting and instead of being helped we watched people get sat down and immediately get a techs attention and help. We were told to sit down ages ago, and haven't had a single person come up to ask if we were okay, or to let us know we were close to being seen. No acknowledgment at all. Fortunately For Apple I had no choice but to rate a star. Next time I'll be going to a certified service center. read more

This is one of the busiest Apple locations I've been to, and I even used to shop at the original location in McLean, Virginia. Although it's crowded at times (like, seriously, don't go in to "shop" on iPhone launch days) the staff has always been helpful and accommodating. I'm not all that tech savvy, and they can always "break it down" for me so that I can understand what's going on with my devices. Yesterday I went in to just look at the new iPhone 6 plus models, and I took a shot in the dark and asked if they had any for t-mobile, and crazily, they had one in stock. While trying to activate the new iPhone, we kept running into issues with t-mobile, and the service members who helped me: Linc, Alex R, Evan, Melanie, and even the manager Kat stepped in, and were so helpful! They even laughed at my bad jokes. Great customer service, literally can't be beat!! read more

I have frequented this store several times as I own several Apple products (Apple Watch, IPad, and an IPhone). Each time I have visited this location the store has been busy but the customer service has always been amazing. Upon entering the store, I am usually either greeted by an Apple employee or I am able to quickly find an available Apple employee ready and willing to assist me. My latest visit to this location came about because I needed to get my IPhone screen fixed. Making a reservation beforehand really helped to shorten the time it took for me to drop my IPhone off for a repair. I was seen by a technician and handed over my phone in about a half hour- which was impressive to me. I was told to come back within an hour to pick up my phone. Upon arriving to pick up my phone, I was again greeted immediately by an Apple employee. I gave them my receipt and within 15-20 minutes I paid my bill and had my repaired IPhone and was on my way. I will definitely continue to frequent this Apple location for all of my Apple product needs! read more

On 12/27/2017 I had an appointment at 12:45 to get the battery replaced in my iPhone 6 which was not keeping a charge anymore and the battery replaced in my Iwatch series 1, which is also not holding a charge. After sitting at a table and waiting a half an hour, a technician showed up and told me his name was Daniel. The charger he used under the table was defective and did not charge up my Watch very well, he told me he could replace my iPhone 6 battery for 79$, I then asked him to run a diagnostic on my watch, he ran a partial diagnostic on my Iwatch series one but could not run any other tests because my watch doesn't hold a charge. I then called Apple support a customer service representative answered after a 10 minute wait, I explained that I had my iPhone watch 6 battery replaced at the Apple Store, I told her I paid 79$ to have the battery replaced on my iPhone 6, yesterday and since the price was being changed to 29$, could I be reimbursed for part of the 79$ I spent on the battery on my iPhone 6, yesterday, the lady said she just got back from lunch and didn't know anything, I then asked to talk to a supervisor, after waiting 10 more minutes she came back on the line, said she was having technical difficulties and hung up on me. I now just called the Apple store in Novi, to see about resolving the issues I am having, the technician listened to me describe what happened at the store on 12/27 and said he was "sending me to the more rightful department", I repeated what he said and asked him what that was, he put me on hold and connected me back with Apple support, Apple support said they couldn't reimburse me for the 79$ because the price of the battery is not changing until late January of 2018, he then said that my battery is not old enough to replace on my Iwatch even though it holds a charge for only three hours, I have to wait until the battery has to be charged every two or one hour before they would replace the battery on the watch. I then asked him if I could be reimbursed for the 79$ I spent on the battery replacement for my I phone6 in late January since the price is changing to 29$ then, with my receipt, he said he didn't know, I told him what Apple is doing to their customers like me is almost funny, the watch is only 2.8 years old and the battery has slowed down and is dying but they won't let me replace it, even if I pay for the battery and they overcharged me for the replacement of the battery for my iPhone 6(79$) but they won't reimburse me, and that phone is only 2.8 years old also. Apple the way you treat your customers is horrible and so bad, that it is actually funny, so much for down home honesty. read more

He literally spent a great deal of time with us and showed patience while we were frustrated. He resolved the situation and even called to follow up with me today. The service here is absolutely horrible. incompetent workers who don't have any common sense. They talk to you like you are stupid. One of the workers named Fred was especially rude, condescending, and spoke with a threatening tone. It's clear he should not be working in customer service. He gives this place a bad name. Recently, I had been having issues with my iPhone 5c, and I went to Verizon. They looked at the phone, attempted a few things and said they couldn't help, try Apple. I was quite reluctant because they're always busy. I arrived there, was greeted immediately and within five minutes had a technician all ready looking at my phone. There store was quite packed too. Even though they couldn't do much for me, because of the damage to my phone, they gave me options and were not pushy about it. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Go to your actual carriers or go online. I had 2400 in cash in my pocket to buy two iPhone X's. I asked for help all I got was the "I'll be with you in a second" so I waited and played on the phone. NUMEROUS others were in there and was able to purchase the iPhone who came in after me. I was pissed. Asked for help one more time, again "one second sir". The same guy 15 mins later helps an old man and a grandson no questions asked. Without them even having to say anything. They profile everyone and only talk to people who look like they have money. I run a candy store in the mall and this is just not okay, unacceptable customer service. Another debacle at this store. Employees standing around in droves but one gal helping everyone in repairs. They need to reallocate their resources in this store. They told me 10-15 minutes and it's already been 30. Waste of time you need patience of a saint! Manager was arrogant and condescending when I asked why they only had one person taking repairs. May be more of a review of the Apple system but here goes: scheduled an appointment for my Beats Powerbeats 2 that stopped charging and turning on after two months of ownership. After getting there I discover they only plan to ship out my headphones, instead of replacing them with one of the 200 pairs of identical headphones they have for sale. I get my work email and I see that the technician described my headphones as "dirty, normal ware and tare." 1. Nothing I own is dirty & 2. With spelling like that how are you a genius? This visit reminds me why I hate Apple customer service. Workers there were nice enough, did not wait long but I had an appointment scheduled. read more

My iphone screen cracked and backlight died the day I was leaving on a trip. Had no warranty coverage, went to the store and saw at least 50+ people waiting. Was greeted and checked in immediately and sent to wait at the service desk and to my surprise I was 3rd in line with a tech. Serviced within 20 minutes, they replaced my phone for cost of a display model (which was even less than a new screen) and got it ready for me right away. Could not say enough praise for this experience, and all that I've had there. Keep it up, guys! read more

Wow, where do I start. I think the day that I went to there was some error with the system that allowed me and another gentleman who had appointments checked in early and still was not helped for at least an hour and a half. The unfortunate part of it was I had my son with me and had to keep him entertained the entire time. It was even more disheartening to see people come in and check after me and being served and helped. The gentleman who also suffered from the error, and had been waiting for longer than I had spoke to at least three people including the supervisor about how he wasn't being helped. Instead of helping him immediately they pretty much ignored him and continue to help people who had came after both he and I. What was even more irritating is that when The other gentleman and I asked when we would help they promised that we would be the next ones. And still no help. I ended up just walkingout. My advice is to go to another Apple location. read more

I went to the Twelve Oaks Mall Apple store today to buy a new computer for my son and AS ALWAYS, was greeted by knowledgeable and friendly staff. We had a great time with Tom, who set us up with a new iMac. He sold us exactly what we needed and really listened to us; didn't try to oversell, which I appreciated. I know we will be back soon for more computers and products and we will definitely look for Tom! Nice bonus - they carried it to my car! Ya' gotta love that. read more

Anyone who has walked past an Apple store knows its crowded ALL THE TIME. They provide good and fast service if you just call and make an appt. If you want to buy an iPad or iPhone you might be better off going to an authorized dealer (Best Buy etc). Don't expect special one on one attention because of the large amt of people go through the store. Ive had a iPhone (I dropped it and shattered the back-they fixed it for free) and iPod (had it for a few years- had trouble playing songs so the gave me a refreshed one that works fine) repaired there and they were always friendly. read more

The tech I met was not helpful at all. I would not recommend this Apple Store. Poor customer service is an understatement. I made an appt the day before. I arrived early they said they were running behind. Finally get seated. Tech shows up 15 minutes later. I wanted a 4s transferred to a new 6s. My boyfriend and I had just bought the new macbook retina display and oddly it wouldn't turn on after having it for only 3 days!!!!! Everyone helping us was in disbelief just like we were. I took my wife's phone in to get help with something AT&T said they could not handle. After getting there I was told since I didn't have an appointment I would need to stand in line to schedule one. I stood in line for 15 minutes and then was told that my appointment was 40 minutes from that point. They asked that I return 5 minutes before my appointment which I did. I then stood in line again for 5 minutes and was then seated at my appointment time. I then sat...and sat...and sat. Twenty minutes later and no one had said a word to me. Others there were equally frustrated as you could tell by the look on there face. This was worse than the doctors office. read more

My phone screen was broke. They got my name to wait. After 10-15 minutes I gave my broken phone to fix and they told me they will text me when they are done about 1 hour later. 1,5 hour looking around and killing my time at the mall finally I decided to go. I waited again 10-15 minutes to hoping to get my phone. Finally after talk couple of sales personal they told me they can not fix my phone because screen is not apple's. What!! Is it my problem that the screen is not apple's! How will I know? I got from ATT retail store. They told me to talk to carrier. ATT stores are another disaster. So instead of going to ATT I went to iPhone repair store at Orchard lake and Maple. There was only one person helped me and he was really nice. I got my phone fix there. Great location. Tons of employees. Can easily point out employees. Not sure why so many negative reviews. Went in today to replace an apple charger and despite how busy it was, it got taken care of within 15 minutes! Tuesday afternoon and very busy. This is my first time actually going to the Apple Store and doing something (as opposed to just looking around). I was very satisfied. They are always helpful with all my questions and there is somebody always in the front making sure you are being helped. This Apple Store does not even deserve a star. It seems like the wait is always extremely long, that would be okay if they could give a solution to a problem. My iPhone 6 was having capacity issues, they told me they didn't know what was going on. They wanted me to pay $500 out of pocket to replace a phone that they don't even know what's wrong with. This is the third time I've visited this location and they don't seem helpful at all. They are always rude and always seem to know "the right things to do" , but they never work. This is going to be my last iPhone and my last Apple product just because of the experience I had at this location. The staff needs to have a lesson on how to treat customers. They aren't professional, and do not know how to run a business. I'm an extremely unhappy customer!!! STAY away from this Apple location!!! YOU will regret coming here! The manager there was extremely rude and unprofessional. Practically giving my 70 year old mother an attitude right in front of me. She came to exchange a laptop to one of a higher value and he said no because it was a month or so late on the exchange policy. I get it, but if she is purchasing another laptop that is more expensive, why not allow it? He was so rude and immature with his behavior. Would absolutely not reccomend speaking to him. read more

This store is full of the most incompetent apple employees I have ever seen! I came in on the 30th for a simple issue with picture text. After a hour of trouble shooting they did a hard reset, and sent me on my way. The apple employee said that would fix the problem. Well it didn't so I came back on the next day on the 1st. After sitting there for 2 and a half hours while this "genius" tried to trouble shoot the issue with my picture text he does ANOTHER reset and back up. He tells me my apps and pictures will finish downloading from the cloud after a few hours. 6 days later STILL nothing worked not text, and now to add to the problem now my apps don't work! After sitting there today for another hour and half the same 2 problems still exist!. now not only can I NOT send picture mail , but now none of my apps work ! These people are far from "geniuses" let alone competent employees. None of them no how to do anything other than to reset and back up phones. they have NO clue on how to solve simple issues. Do NOT go here. run to the troy location. now I have to spend more time away from work and home to go to another apple store where I know I can receive competent service. Its completely ridiculous how you can go in with a simple text problem and leave with I phone 6 that is completely inoperable! These people are the worse! read more
