I have been pretty happy with my first watch. I think I had it for 6 years. Now I'm enjoying my new upgrade. The folks here helped me convert to my new watch. Yeah, I know I could do it myself, but it was easier and quicker with assistance. I'm no tekkie. They also have some demonstrations/instruction to help you get the most out of your Apple apps and gadgets. I really appreciate this place and the people. She scanned the barcode in my iPhone wallet for the new MacBook and within a couple minutes the computer was brought to me. During the short wait, I was asked if there was anything else I needed. It's funny how there are reviews of the Apple Store. I feel that if you were going to an Apple store you already know you'll be walking out with one. (Excuse my rant) I think what is the point of a Yelp review because does this Apple store really care about its review and actually change what they are doing? Idk ‍ but I thought I would still put this out into the universe. Me and my friend bought the new IPhone 12 max. We went in there wanting a phone and state clearly we wanted one. The lady in sales was nice, but for every question we had, it came with a 5 minute explanation and the answer came at the very end of it. We have owned iPhones since the very beginning and so it seems repetitive and making us late to our brunch appointment. When we brought the phone, we wanted a bag and the store had run out. You wouldn't expect the great Apple store to run out of bags. It still baffles me how the case only comes with just the phone and no longer with the charger box or the cord... Quick trip to the Apple store with a friend who needed a laptop and new phone. This store in UTC is always bustling with business and today was no exception. As we walked in, there was a bit of a hang up right at the entrance with people waiting to speak to the door greeted and get checked in for appointments or to ask questions. Since we just needed to make a quick purchase, I suggested we forgo the line and speak with a customer service / sales person in the floor. We went past the line and found an available sales person within 15 seconds. Told her what we were looking for and within a few minutes, someone came from the back room with the computer and phone! The store has got a new place in the mall that I recently got to visit and is really impressive with loaded modern looks. It's spacious inside and no sun directly hitting as the old one was. The main part here is the service that is just a hit or miss for a good one. I've mostly experienced that the staff is not happy about something, probably the customers. They might not bag your new item, they might not say "I'll be right with you" and so on. Not a convenient place for warranty/repairs coz it might take more than a week for a convenient time, however ok to pick up an item. read more

Made an appointment for shopping inside. Different way of shopping but it is for everyone's safety. They did not have tents at this location but they are checking temperatures prior to entry. Also you cannot check in until your appointment time to ensure there is not over crowding. Once in everyone is wearing a mask, the Apple employee will stand on the other side of the display table for social distancing. We wanted to try on loop bands since the paper measuring tape isn't very accurate. They can also measure there as well. It took some time because the loops were not in order and spread about on the table. He had to find the matching bands. Pro tip if you are half size go down not up. The band is stretchy and very soft. Unfortunately they do not carry any sizing for my wrist I measure at 2 the smallest is a 4 for the 44 size watch. The material is great though super soft and easy to slip on and off. The woven band wasn't as nice as the online pictures. Color is a bit off and the silicone band is just so buttery soft. Overall the experience was less organized and less welcoming than fashion valley. There is a security guard and he wasn't very friendly. It just felt very disorganized the staff was calling people in looking at us but when we walked in she said not you. We had to go back out. We just felt rushed and shuffled around while the staff was all over the place. read more

Took my 12-inch Pink MacBook in cuzz of a white flashing folder kept appearing on my screen. I had an appointment, but got there like 30 min. later but they took me in anyway. Arial at the Genius Bar helped me out. He was quick and efficient. My laptop needed more diagnostics, so I left it with him and they realized that the logic board need to be replaced. That was on 3/23 and I got my MacBook back today 3/25, so the turnaround time in terms of getting the new logic board installed was very quick and efficient as well. I've to give it a 4 star(way too generous) for the terrible time trying to get back to someone at the Apple store. Even if you call the local 858# you're somehow still routed to their customer service phone line. I was on the phone with Apple customer service 7 times in 24 hrs. Because calls get missed going back and forth between the store and I. Everytime I call them back I had to go through their phone customer service and not anyone at the store. They then route me to the store and it got disconnected a few times while waiting to be transferred to a person at the UTC Apple store. Apple care really need to do something with their phone system, so that customers can get a hold of the people at the Apple store directly..... at least for ppl who left their MacBook for service. I'm not a phone person and the whole ordeal is a major annoyance. read more

I purchased a watch online and was assigned to pick up the item at Fashion Valley, but the store "happened to be close for safety issues" I understand a customer. We are flexible, then drove to UTC La Jolla, where after wasting time with "the manager," the conclusion was I'm happy to sell you a new one. I can't fulfill your order. They are Apple, but not really. I explained the situation, and the only solution you have is to deal with Fashion Valley for the return will be happy to sell you a new one. Went in to buy 2 new phones. They were not in stock which we expected, they had us order in the store...2 separate transactions even though we were using one cc. Then we wanted to ship to store for pick up but they won't do that. Had to ship to home, and you have to be there to sign....this has been a complete nightmare. Each phone is from a different shipping carrier , we are getting no chance for scheduling any block of time, they both give estimated times, but neither carrier has shown up within their estimated window. They keep showing up hours before or after the window, after I've scheduled time off of work to be there to get these phones! I have left online messages with the carriers for when I will be available and it doesn't matter....They still show up whenever they want to. Don't ever ship to home unless you are always there to get delivery! read more

Made an appointment to get my phone battery replaced at 1:50, had the phone fixed and back to me by 4. Great service and really nice people... just be nice and patient as they're almost always super busy. I did have to wait a little in the drop off part, about 30 mins. But nothing too crazy. The pickup process didn't take more than 5 mins and it was ready exactly when they said it would be. 10/10 recommend! read more

I bought a new laptop, was promised some services when I came to pick up the new one, and the guy just dumped the old one (missing the power cord) and the new one on the table and walked away, not help to set up, check date transfer, and when I asked for (the promised at time of purchase) help was told to come back in THREE HOURS. Came back in an hour, told one of the many guys standing around with their iPads I couldn't want any longer, he asked me to sit and wait and nobody showed up. In case you missed the news, Apple recently admitted that iphone software is designed to operate more slowly its battery ages and loses energy capacity. Despite years of denial, Apple finally admitted this was designed to maintain battery power on older iphones. So to redeem themselves, they offered new battery replacements for $29 instead of the usual $79. I called the Apple Customer Service, and in about a week my new battery arrived at the Apple UTC store. Now, I've been a bad iphone owner. After 18 months of ownership, my SE was cracked, dented, and scratched in many places, but still functioned. The friendly apple employees noticed my power button wasn't clicking properly, but still worked. So instead of just giving me a new battery, they just gave me a brand spanking new virgin iphone SE...all for the same $29! Sweet! read more

I'm sickened by the way they treat customers here. We were treated awful. We were disappointed in their general lack of concern. They've done away with their Genius Bar because there are no longer any techs here, only sales people who don't know their products. They also don't know how to handle simple problems. I was told by the first sales man, "Don't give me a whole list of what's wrong with the phone because I can only process one at a time". Then he passed us off to an equally clueless and condescending female. So much for women supporting other women. Pffft! We pay a lot of money for Apple devices. Some of us use our phones to get all our business accomplished. They need to be working properly or we lose business. It's as simple as that. I went in looking to replace the two phones I bought because they are both defective. Both in the same way. Don't know if it was a bad lot or what. All I know is I paid lots of money for defective phones. I also bought the insurance so this should NOT be a problem. This store will tell a customer who has bought their products since inception (me) to "Go to Samsung and trade them in". Seriously, dude? That's your solution!?! Apple has no loyalty to customers, yet Apple sales are currently slipping more than they ever have historically. Everyone else is jumping ship to Samsung, so why not take them up on it? read more

I am fully engulfed in apple products...yup...iphone/ipad/macbook/airpods/apple watch/and the kids still have their ipod touch... so that being said...i do spend time at the Apple store (doesn't hurt having a great bar across the walkway) both laptops are having some issues...(they are 7+ years old and this is the first time we've had any trouble.) i made an appointment and we showed up about 5 minutes early. we were immediately greeted and told where to wait for our "genius" Javier showed up and started our appointment. He was absolutely wonderful and helpful. He started by hooking both computers up to their system to analyze the computers.... #1 macbook pro -the result of it was that one has hard drive issues...ugh #2 macbook air- no apparent issues on other ( i was thinking it was the back up battery)...he explained why that is not what is causing my issues and why it is the cause for other laptops...he gave me some advice and offered to do it for me...but it was something i could handle on my own....he said if that "fix" didn't work then it's my mother board and that's not worth fixing...so i'll use my computer until it dies (it works fine...just some annoying things happening) computer #1- we talked about options...starting from easiest/cost effective ...all the way to most costly,. We decided on a plan...after a couple hours of hanging out with my new best friend Javier...the first 2 options didn't work...so yup...need to replace the hard drive. He explained Apple will only replace with the exact same hard drive...and that may end up failing again...my other option is to upgrade the hard drive and I would have to go to an outside party (or do it myself) to take care of that. in the end i was very satisfied with my appointment. i called up an expert friend, who is a true genius and he confirmed everything that was told my at my appointment. My friend told me what to order and is fixing it for ($130 later...my macbook pro will be fixed and actually upgraded) why only 4 stars? well...while their title is "genius"...I don't find any one person in here to be a true genius...they each know a lot about something...combine all the "genius" folks in here and then we have a genius! he he...it takes a village. read more

I was in the apple store trying to buy the iPhone. After checking-in and a 40mins waiting in the store, my name finally got moved to the top of the waiting list, however, I was told to go home and order online by the a staff. I was so shocked of what she said. The worse thing she added was "the next person on the list does not mean next to be assisting " but couldn't not give any reasonable explanation of why the service can't go with the order of the waiting list. I feel so sorry for apple to have this kind of poor trained staff to serve their customer. This is so inappropriate and so unprofessional as it doesn't help customer to understand the situation. The staff should get trained more to be able to explain the situation clearly and serve customer appropriately. Otherwise, apple would loose many customers just because of the rude and arrogant staff like the staff with poor capability. read more

By far my favorite location. Never had a issue coming here. Every time I came in for a purchase or device support, I always received great service. I always make a appointment before coming and I'm always attended on time. Once I had to come as a walk in and it was only a 35minute wait. Had lunch then came in. The tech was super helpful and the needed approval from the manager to authorize my phone swap for another as it had a heating issue. Took less then two minutes and I was on my way. I truly thank them for being polite and customer service oriented. I also enjoy that they are not overly packed with customer for that one on one attention. Thank you! read more

It's not the worst apple store I've been in, but it's certainly not the best. I came here around 1pm on a Friday and it wasn't super crazy busy. I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help. I told her no thank you since I just wanted to shop without pressure. I couldn't decide if I wanted the SE or the 7. I asked a different lady several questions ranging from her person opinional on the phone to more technical questions. She knew nothing about the iphones... why work here? Seriously if you have zero knowledge about it other than telling me "some people like them" you might be at the wrong place. She also informed me she would "never" own an iphone.... wow. I was like "okay thanks" and I walked off. Another guy suggested if I was trying to save money I should consider the 6S since it's basically a larger SE. Now i'm extra confused because I'm considering 3 different choices. I spoke with a third employee who answered all my questions and actually helped me. In case you're wondering I ended up with a black iphone 7 (originally what I was going to buy anyways). He sold me exactly what I wanted, didn't try to push me into buying an extra phone case, nor did he try to force me into apple care. Let me begin by saying I am extremely disappointed with the service I was provided by Apple care and store manager at the UTC location Regan. Initially i called Apple care to schedule an appointment for a batter replacement. They ran all diagnostics over the phone with me but couldn't fin my Apple care insurance which I thought was linked to the phone for the past 3 years. I've paid $18 a month for past 3 years only to find out T-Mobile and Apple care are not synced. I went to the store for my appointment and had to sit inside the store for 2 HRS while they sort out my insurance issues. In a time of global pandemic? Ridiculous. The Apple care over the phone were asking me to send 3 different document to prove I have this add on through T-Mobile. Couldn't replace my battery because it got late in the day. I was told to come back next day. I went the next day and dropped off my phone for the battery replacement and was told it will take 1 to 1:30 hrs. I came back at the hr and half mark and had to wait for another 20-25 min for my phone. I asked the manager Regan at the time why they didn't tell me a longer timeline(which I was going to honer) since I already wasted 6 hrs up until that point. Regan angrily told me to go wait inside the store. I expect this sort of costumer service from Walmart but not from Apple. Extremely disappointed.
