I ordered the 2 for $25 deal, which is a great deal because you get one choice of appetizer and one choice of entree from a list of choices they provide. I ordered the mozzarella sticks for the appetizer and the hamburger for the entree. The mozzarella sticks were okay, nothing really special. The hamburger and fries were a pretty large. The hamburger was good, but I could have done with the jalapeño sauce because it had a slight sweetness to it that did not complement the burger. My mom ordered a 6oz steak and it was so dry, she struggled to cut it and chew it. My daughter ordered the lemon pepper boneless wings and they were swimming in grease and the breading was thick and a bit difficult to chew. Ordered to go on Halloween night and service was fast, friendly, and food was great! At least 3 people asked us if we had been helped yet when we were actually helped the second we got there. I kinda wish we would have ate at the restaurant but it was just super packed because of the dodger game which is a good sign because it looked like everyone was enjoying the ambiance there. We ordered everything you see in the picture I posted and the only thing I wouldn't order again was the "four cheese Mac n cheese" with the chicken tenders. It was definitely not Mac n cheese. Went there for dinner. The food was OK, nice to get half price drinks and appetizers. It took a while for our server to come to our table the first time. But the thing that bothered me drin the most was the fact that as she carried our drinks out to the table, her hands were at the top of the glasses near the rim where we would put our mouths. We had a great experience. We found this location on the way home from Big Bear and it was one of the better dining options so we decided to try it out. I can't remember the last time I dined at an Applebee's so everything felt new. We were starving so instead of waiting for a table we asked to be seated at the bar. There was a happy hour so it worked out great. We ordered the ahi tuna in crispy won ton tacos and the nachos. We weren't that hungry so we were good with ordering the two appetizers. To be honest, the nachos are such a large portion that was probably all we needed. However, I am glad we ordered the tacos because they were 5 bucks thanks to the happy hour and they were really good! I would go back just for the them. I had the cheeseburger and fries and we had the (boneless chicken bites) appetizer. First things first. The burger had "no flavor". It was very dry. It was not a "Juicy" Hamburger. We've had Burgers at the "Habit" that were juicy and thick. The Chicken Nuggets were hot and fresh. Also, we like Lemon in our water. However, we were told that they were out of Lemons.. Oh my gosh Melanie P was the best server of my life. I'm not even joking she was so nice and when I asked her about the steak she was honest and said it was good, and she sure was right I devoted the 6 oz steak it was delicious. She refilled all me and my family's drinks without asking, very attentive while being busy such a good server. I would recommend asking for her as a server. They were pretty slow.. some older lady who might be manager came to our table right after a male manger asked us how it was going literally two minutes later she asked us interrupting our conversation i was so irritated at this point.. can't even have a conversation my husband who was still eating...Then she stood there and asked for my plate.. like can you leave us alone I believe it was management. We weren't even there long. Went to bathroom before leaving and someone was knocking on door doing a bathroom check. Most random experience ever. We are regulars in the evenings but I will not be returning to this spot. Honestly, not impressed or satisfied with my lunch for two. I ordered the 2 for $25 with my coworker. With up charges it was just shy of $32. We also added two soups. Order total 45.05. We ordered through the Applebees app which has no notes for asking for A1sauce or changing sides from potatoes to veggies only. Skip the app and order in person or call. We started with the soups. I had French onion soup and my coworker had tortilla soup, both we thought were mediocre. The French onion soup had a topping of partially melted cheese, probably done in the microwave (this was take out) definitely not impressed, there has to be a better way. I also was not a fan of the flavor, it was probably the worst onion soup I've ever had. She mentioned there was no cheese or her tortilla soup. They also didn't provide spoons with the soups, we only received forks. The boneless wings appetizer had almost no sauce on them and there was only two sticks of celery. I was most disappointed in this since I have love their boneless wings since 2004 when I started working there (Sturbridge Massachusetts location). The bourbon street chicken was a decent size of chicken but it was very greasy. There was almost no mushrooms. Shrimp was alright. I had the penne with no bruschetta and fried chicken instead of grilled. It had no Parmesan cheese on top. There was nothing great about this meal either. I had gone here with my husband about 6 months ago on a date night for a drink at the bar, the drink menu was fun at the time and was Halloween themed. Maybe the bar is the only way to go. This review is strictly for some underhanded service or silent sales push by the waitress,not sure if this technique is being advocated by Mgmnt or if the waitress simply didn't care or forgot to say that there is a charge for sides. So my wife ordered a 3 or 4 cheese Mac n cheese with some.kind of chicken in it, there was enough to bring home home so my wife asks for a little more sauce to add to the pasta so that it doesn't dry out. The waitress brings it without even saying there was an upcharge of $1.50 for thr measly sauce. Had the waitress said there was a charge for the sauce we either would have declined it or gladly paid for it. But the fact that it was packed into the sales receipt was pretty underhanded on the waitress part. Mgmnt,please advise your personnel if they are going to give extra sauce to advise customers of a charge. This is the second time this has happened to me which is leading me to believe there is something more to this. So patrons just a tip, if you see this upcharge and don't wish to address with Mgmnt, take it off the waitress tip doubling the amount they charged or simply don't tip at all. That should hopefully make them think twice about doing this to others. End of experience. read more

I came to AV to visit my Grandma, Applebee's was very close so we chose them for dinner. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Rollup. It's SUPPOSED to be chipotle chicken, cheddar, pico and lettuce in a tortilla wrap.... what I got was a whole lot of cheese and tortilla. The chicken was incredibly scare, and I did not get a hint of chipotle at all. There was a bit of pico and lettuce but not much their either. Also, in retrospect, when I think "fajita", I think veggies... definetly could use some veggies. I ordered a side caesar salad instead of fries (1.99 extra charge) and it was a decent size for a side but their Caesar dressing is a little heavier on the anchovies/fish I was than I prefer.
