On December 2nd, I was driving from Chicago to Detroit but the weather was not permitting. So I pulled into this Applebees to gather myself after one of the scariest times on the road due to ice and snow on the highway making it dangerous and to grab a bite to eat Kimberly was my waitress and her not knowing my mental and emotional struggle, she was so kind, helpful, friendly and just everything I needed during this troublesome time. I shared with her that I was attempting to surprise my mom at the nursing home who has had a challenge in all aspects to adjusting to her new norm and she's been quite ill frequently. While I was in Chicago for Florida visiting my in laws , I just wanted to drive to Detroit to spend time with my mom. The roads was SOOOO so dangerous I couldn't continue my travels in that direction and I was so sad and discouraged to not only go to Detroit but even back to Chicago. She literally sat with me, listened to my story and gave me words of encouragement that I didn't know I even needed. I felt like I was talking to friend. She made me realize there's still genuine people in this world and real customer service still exists. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious. She is a great example to the food and service industry where kindness goes a long way and her passion for going above and beyond "just doing her job" was the comfort that I needed. This is the best Applebee's I have been to. It is usually busy, as it should be, but I have rarely had to wait long. The service is typically friendly and attentive, and the food is great. Our waitress tonight was very nice, and did a great job, but when I went to pay, I think the poor young lady's soul briefly left her body when she came back with the receipt and couldn't locate my debit card. I won't throw her under the bus by mentioning her by name. I've been there myself, and I know that sinking feeling all too well. As she searched and retraced her steps, I looked under the table and spotted the missing card on the floor by our booth, where it had apparently fallen after slipping out of the receipts in her hands. I hope the manager won't be too hard on her. It could have happened to anyone, and no harm was done. The card wasn't missing for nearly as long as it probably felt to her. This place now has an inviting and incredibly attentive staff! Starting with Candece--I've had the pleasure of being served by her twice in a row. The first time, she quickly and efficiently arranged seating for our large party, ensuring all safety regulations with exit doors were followed. I've never waited more than 60 seconds to be greeted by her. She always has a smile and truly elevates the experience of dining at a chain restaurant in a small town. I've been coming to Apple Bee's for years and today was extra special because me and my wife were celebrating our wedding anniversary. So our waitress supplied us with excellent customer service and she smiled the whole time while serving us. She even congratulated us on our anniversary and it seemed like she made sure our food and drinks were made with an extra bit of love. Applebees is our 'Go To' for family gatherings, birthdays, date nights, and when we just need to sit relax, enjoy a good drink and have great service. The whole staff is professional,courteous, and fun to interact with when ordering. We love the gift card bargains and buy many during their promotions. Food has great flavor and is affordable. Haven't been to Applebees in years so decided to dine in for lunch while driving through town. Our waitress was really nice. Place was clean and inviting. Food came out hot and yummy. Hubby the crunchy shrimp platter with fries and I had the chicken quesadillas (app) with fries. We also had the white peach sangria which was sooo good not overly sweet and the Blue Hawaiian. We had great service from Ashley! Our food was delicious the peach tea was very weak Ashley went back and brewed fresh tea for us again it was to weak so she brought us Pepsi by request. Our appetizer wasn't great the won tong chicken wraps were stale so Ashley had them make fresh they were delicious! We put Ashley through a little bit but she was wonderful !! I love this location! I have been in several times and do Carside To-Go at least once a month. The food is delicious every single time and is always correct. The restaurant is always clean. The service is wonderful and extremely fast. Even today, the Fourth of July, our food was ready less than 5 minutes after we arrived! Best place for a yummy, inexpensive dinner. read more

Everyone we came in contact with today were amazing! We had a big group of people...kiddos, teens, adults and seniors. Everyone was treated well and went away satisfied'! Was seated right away! No wait! Waitress super nice, quick service and no issues. Food made to perfection. Which I always order steak and have had problems at others locations, but no problems at this one! The waiter was very nice but I ordered my steak medium well, and it was raw on the inside. I hate being that type of person but I had to have them put it back on the grill 2 more times because it kept coming back raw. I think the chefs just need to slow down in the kitchen :/ read more
