Last night we had a big group at a nice long table. The waitress was dressed in a Bat Girl outfit including a mask so that was lots of fun and kind of surprised me! Another waiter was in a costume as well. The service was decent. The food was decent. I got a wonderful seasonal spinach salad that included chicken, strawberries, grapes with a light dressing. A few of us ate and were very pleased with the delicious Won Ton Taco with the Asian slaw in them. The soups and the pastas are fine. There are healthy choices on the menu. This is a good family place. Some friends eat here at this particular Applebees all the time and love it. read more

If you don't mind eating in a freezer eat here. The food is tasty but the restaurant is so cold before the food gets to your table it is already getting cold. First off I picked my order up at car side. young man bought my order out with only one beverage & one straw. As I handed him payment, I had to remind him of second beverage which he bought out w/ no straw & incorrect. Get home notice the soda had ice and taste as if it had no flavor. So I returned to receive a fresh beverage. Young lady did bring out a fresh one with flavor and no ice as requested. However, upon getting home and unpacking food, notice the chicken tender basket did not have dipping sauce ordered and requested with meal nor did the mozzarella sticks have its dipping sauce either. I refused to make another drive so I had to go to the nearest store and purchased sauce for my daughter to have with both. I find this truly incompetent and reckless on their behalf. All orders should be checked and packed correctly to assure all items are place with the appropriate orders as well as verify order against the call in, online order, and what was placed with server. Also, do a taste test with beverages. I found myself having to taste test someone else's beverage to assure they were not getting another flavorless soda. read more

My family and I decided on Applebee's because Chili's was packed. Considering it was a Friday night the wait was not bad. Less than 8 minutes. Our waiter was new and training with another lady. This lady kept calling me and my husband "hon". I think she was sincere but it really didn't sound right. Now my 5year old is calling me "hon" lol. The food was great. Drinks even better. Great for families with young ones because of the kids menu options. Prices are reasonable. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the whole hon thing and my 34 year old husband being carded, then 2 minutes later I was carded too. We had a $50 Applebee's gift card to use (one we held on to for 4 years) so I decided to take the fam. The good thing is we used the gift card. That's the end of the good. The best thing is we NEVER have to go back to this place. 1. No hostess at the front. After 5 minutes standing there she showed up and was rude. 2. It took at least 15-20 minutes after we st to get water. 3. We only saw the waitress every 15-20 minutes. 4. The food was just terrible. Most of it was un-edible and just gross. The fried cheese stick were ok on the app sampler. The boneless buffalo wings came slathered with a nasty BBQ sauce. Which was not requested. I don't think it is unreasonable to assume Buffalo wings come with a wing sauce. We also had 2 of the 9 oz sirlion steaks. I was not expecting much in the steak but the waitress said they were the best thing on the menu. The were obviously frozen and most likely old. They were not edible. Went to Applebee's after a movie and we order quite a few things. Everything came at the same time and it was great. All the food was delicious. We got a lot of appetizers. Also our server he was fantastic. His name was Johnathan and he was just so nice and the best server I've had in a long time. Hope whenever we go back we sit in his section again. read more

My lunch lasted 1:30 hrs!! Arrived just before 1, couldn't get waitress to take our order we even commented they seemed a little short handed. Her words, no we are able to handle it. Other people came and went before we did (we we party of 2). One group came in never got menus, drinks or even acknowledged. They got up and left. Smart! But the one that got to me - one other couple eating. She took my credit card, went to the register and didn't come back for over 15 minutes after we got up to leave! We stopped going to Applebee's a couple of years ago because of poor service, however we decided to give it a second try recently. My husband and I went there for dinner on a Saturday night, and our service was excellent! I then reserved Applebee's for a group of 16 ladies the following Tuesday. Again, excellent service. They had three servers for our table, and all of them were very attentive. I have since recommended Applebee's in Georgetown to another group I belong to for happy hour. This group could have up to 50 or more ladies for this event. I'm sure Applebee's will not disappoint! read more

Terrible service. We arrived last evening after 6 pm. There was no hostess up front to greet us. The place was half full at best. Waited for almost 5 minutes before hostess showed up. We were seated at a table and given menus. No one ever showed up to take drink orders. After at least 10 minutes we got up and went next door to Chili's where we were greeted at the door. This is not only the worst Applebees I have ever been to, but probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. My wife and I thought we would grab a quick, casual dinner-Applebees as a concept is appealing to me because they have fun appetizers, burgers, salads, etc. Let's start with the restaurant, you know how you walk into a place and can immediately, "feel", that it is dirty? The wait staff is apathetic at best. My wife ordered the wedge salad, which arrived with a wilted, old piece, of brown lettuce. Then our entrees arrived. My wife's steak was gamey and obviously, past it's "best by" date. We requested to speak to the manager- this crazed, obviously aggravated, woman comes out of the kitchen and approaches our table. She asks us what's wrong. My wife tells her that the steak smells sour and the wedge salad is brown and wilted. The manager doesn't apologize or express any empathy, she simply says: "You don't don't have to pay for it." We decided to leave at that point. read more

Okay, so this was only my second Applebee's but I have to say it left a LASTING aftertaste that will never go away. Waitress was nice and attentive. Sat us right away. But it only got worse. 1. Draft beer was flat. 2. Boneless wings had a bit of a funny taste. 3. The closed blinds at out table had unidentifiable splatters all over them. 4. Burger was cooked with NO season and VERY bland. 5. Mustard that we asked for came to the table in a squirt bottle that had crust around the hole. (Not a big deal in my own home because hey....it's my crusty mustard, but in a reasturant? Eh not so much. On the up side the fries were decent and at least had flavor that I was able to some what enjoy after the major flop of everything else. Parking was so not a problem. There were anly like 6 cars there when we arrived.....now I know why. I have nothing against chain eateries. I am a big fan of their neighbor...but I do not think I will be visiting an Applebee's again anytime soon. read more

The bartender gave me a glass of wine that had gone bad and then whined when I told it it had turned. Not too clean and service is not so hot. Food seems expensive for what you get. They can do better. read more

The Georgetown Applebee's is the BEST! We enjoy any Applebee's, but the one in GT is by far our favorite! The food is great, but the service and people are even better! We have had several different servers and each one of them has been top-notch! As for the food, this has been the only Applebee's where we have had consistency in the food quality, presentation, etc. If you are in Georgetown, TX....you can't go wrong stopping here! read more

Weather is heavy rain now, but not in Applebee's. I was both greeted and well served by Efrin, one of their outstanding servers. He did a fantastic job and has a wonderful attitude. He will make certain you are well satisfied with both food and service. I am sure the others here are of the same attitude. First time eating at this location in Georgetown. Went with my Aunt and Uncle after a hard long day of moving. We hadn't eaten lunch so were very hungry. Menu items looked great so we were anticipating an excellent meal. Ordered an appetizer and our meals. Waited and waited and here comes the waiter with our meals! I asked about the appetizer and he said sorry it was forgotten but he could take it off the check or go get one. We had it removed from the check. I ordered the 6oz sirloin medium rare, baked potato, and broccoli. I cut the potato in half and only fixed one half. One end had a black spot so I cut it off and thought ok I will just eat the rest. Then I found another black bit so I started looking at the rest of it and found a big spot! This was after I had eaten some! My medium rare steak was medium on the way to well! Needless to say I stopped eating! They removed the potato from the check and also offered to bring me another one. My Uncle and Aunt enjoyed their meal and said it was good. I asked to run by McDonalds so I could get a hamburger! The overdone steak we put in a box and it has been put outside for some animal. Went there today just try it out. Got a tough steak was a big piece of gristle on one end of it . Gave it back and got fried shrimp that were flat and had almost no shrimp inside the crust. I won't be back. Their ads look great. Just plain old bad food. Worst food I've had in Georgetown. read more

I travel weekly, eating out almost every day. With the qualifier out of the way I have to say this was THE WORST experience in years. It's a shame because the food, once it arrived, was good. Three of the four dishes arrived after a 26 minute wait. The restaurant was about 1/3 of capacity so backlog couldn't/shouldn't have been an issue. When the fourth entree arrived it was wrong. I watched as my beer warmed on the bar while my server walked past it 3 separate times at one point carrying one glass of water. I could go on about it but what's the point. I hate to leave a bad review but when it is deserved I will. Never again to say the least. Visit started with a 10 minute wait no problem, friendly guy takes our drink order then our food order. I was actually impressed at first that he could remember an entire order w/o writing it down, but not for long. Appetizers came out they were good. Then twenty minutes later we get salads and entrees all together. Normally a salad then your entree but not tonight. The servers lay out the orders and low and behold my boyfriend has no entree. Ok, mistakes happen..no problem..so his son is eating his salad and we requested 4 times to have some extra Ranch dressing. On the 5th request I am losing my sense of humor. Finally the ranch comes then 5 minutes later his fish and chips. Looks ok, he prepares his food and takes a bite then grabs my leg, I look over at his fish, it is raw! Oh no this is not good nor okay. Before he realized it he already swallowed it. Great! Raw fish, fabulous. I get up and find the only server that was decent and hand him the fish to his shock and dismay he sees the raw food and takes the plate. Now I am waiting to be approached by management and this never happens so when the waitress comes around I ask for a manager. 5 minutes later a guy walks up and greets us his name is David, kneels down and I explain the events. He is looking directly at me smiling and laughing. I asked him what is so funny about a customer consuming raw fish? He then comtinues laughing and smiling and at this point I am grateful that a 6 year old is at our table because what I wanted to say I refrained from. With his snarky attitude and nonchalant demeanor getting on the last nerve I have I asked for the Regional Managers name and his. I have never seen a "Manager" in a hospitality customer service atmosphere act like this. Minutes later the RM appears, I am pretty much done at this point, she is going to comp the meal and hands me three $5 cards to come back again. I understand it is Applebees however dropping $60 on a meal you at least expect to receive it cooked and professional service. Never again and I hope he does not get sick. read more

I would give this restaurant less than 1 star if i could. I asked if i could sit on a certain area of the restaurant and they denied it to me. I was there for 25 minutes and the service was awful, they NEVER asked me what i wanted to drink or to eat, so i had to leave. Also, they brought drinks for whoever got there after me. Unbelievable! We had lousy service from the moment we sat down. I ordered 3 kids Shirley Temples. They brought 3 large drinks. I clarified that they were supposed to come in a lidded cup because we were getting kids meals. She said 'oh sorry well I already put them in the register they will be $2.50 a piece.' I tried to appeal the charge but clearly she didn't believe she was in he wrong so we paid $7.50 for our kids drinks. I had to ask for the free drinks that came with the kids meal as a to-go. About 5 mins into is sitting there one of the large kids drinks spilled. Our waitress came and dropped about 100 napkins on our table and then went to another table. Also, if you haven't been to Applebees lately you would be shocked at the portion sizes. Our $7 spinach artichoke dip is a much smaller portion size and came with about 10 chips. We finished the chips in about three minutes and then they brought out my full size oriental salad (it was so small) and then 20 minutes later brought out the rest of my families food. Craziness!! We used to like to stop by here after a workout as they had a low calorie menu; shortly after we started regular visits, they removed the bulk of the healthy choices and replaced with meals over 1000 calories. Now that's just the corporate side of the company. My complaint with this particular location is that upon our latest visit, we were greeted at the door with an overwhelming stench of sewage. As we were led to a table deeper in the restaurant, I turned to my wife and I must have had a look on my face; she says "it smells terrible in here!". I stopped in my tracks and wouldn't venture further in. I asked the server from the distance (albeit as quietly as possible) if there was a restroom problem. She didn't know, couldn't smell anything and said she could ask the manager. We just said that we couldn't eat here, and left. I won't be going back unless someone from the place responds and says the problem is cleared up. read more

This could be a nice place to eat but for one main exception: the food is way, way, way too salty. Before you go there, check the menu and nutritional information online. Almost all dinners have from one to two teaspoons of salt in them. I think I know why they do that, to sell more beer. The water is free but I had to down three glasses of water. read more

I will never eat there again!! My server, Chris Shorok, was the best!! Such a sweet kid! The food sucked!! What is really sad about it is that I ordered a CLUB SANDWICH!! How can you screw that up?? Well...they did! I wish I had taken a picture of it!! Of course I sent it back & no..did not want them to remake it, ate my soggy salad instead! What amazed me was the manager, David Williams, never came over to the table to apologize. I have never been in a restaurant when one didn't come over. What also amazed me was the general manager, Sandy, was there too!! Not a peep from her either! Oh..than I was told my meal was compt! Not by a manager but by my poor waiter, Chris!! Compt!!!! I didn't even eat nor barely touched it!! Beside that experience the menu sucks now there is so few selections that the only thing on it that sounded half way good was the club sandwich!!
