Nate and I had a gift card for Applebee's so we stopped in for an early dinner recently. There was a short wait, only about 10 minutes or so. I used to eat at Applebee's a lot as a kid because it was one of the only restaurants in my small town, so it does have a bit of a nostalgia factor for me. The menu is large and has plenty of options. We were interested in the 2 for $25 option, where you can get an appetizer and two entrees or two side salads and two entrees for $25 (some options are an up charge). I got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp with broccoli and a side Caesar salad, and Nate got the new "O-M-Cheeseburger" with fries and a side Caesar salad. This burger is served cut in half in a pool of melted cheese. Yup that's right. Our salads came out quickly and were fresh and tasty. Our entrees were hot and pretty good, but VERY salty. I was surprised at how nicely done the chicken was (not dry or overcooked). I ended up having leftovers that I put on my own salad at home the next day. I was also pleasantly surprised at how tasty the burger was -- it was nicely cooked (medium) and juicy. Definitely not something I would eat regularly, but fun to try. I had to end the meal with a triple chocolate meltdown, which is one of my favorite desserts ever. It's a molten chocolate lava cake that I crave pretty often. It was hot and chocolatey with plenty of ice cream. Our server Brittany was so kind and friendly. Overall it was a good visit! read more

Don't get my wrong the food and service was good at first.... But then our server Abby gave me the bill and it stated $34.56. When she came back to the table with my receipt she had stated that my card only ran for $33 and change. When I looked at my banking app to see what the actual charge stated was it showed $42.06. Normal service before you put down the tip is what you're shown on the receipt. I was already planning on giving our server $9 in cash tip. Before that she pre charged my card for $7 tip without me mentioning cash. Therefore I was lied to about the tip and she received over $14 which I wasn't going to put down because that is over the expected hospitality tip for service. Also not to mention at the end of service she made a comment to an old coworker that works at the bar at closing time saying "she dosent even work here go home" or around that. Overall I will not be coming back to this establishment based on my experience with the inappropriate tipping expectations without talking to me and my boyfriend at the table about charging my card. read more

We've been here a few times and had a good experience. The last time though my wife got a steak and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes had plastic in them. We told the server and she apologized and to make it up she they recooked her steak and undercooked it. Everything was mentioned and nothing was either taken off the bill or offered to be taken off. read more

Unlimited wings - garlic parm, honey pepper, honey bbq, Asian sweet chili Spinach artichoke dip Why did I eat so many. The fries were pretty mid. Super dry and not much flavor. Still good mindless filler food which is what you need when you make the decision to go to an Applebees. The wings themselves were actually really good - juicy and crispy. I thought all of the sauces were very tasty except for the Asian sweet chili. It tasted like Asian zing that went bad. Service was an Applebees/10 (very bad). read more

I had ordered their Strawberry Balsamic Chicken Salad for dinner last night and customized it to have NO onions and NO tomatoes and m husband ordered the appetizer combo with blue cheese for his chicken wings. When we got the food home my salad had tons of onions and tomatoes on it and there was NO blue cheese for his wings! I would not have left this review if this was not the first time they had messed up our order, but this is now the forth time in a row that something has either been incorrect or missing! I highly recommend the East Beltline location. My husband picked up our order and it was as good as if we were at the restaurant. We ordered artichoke and spinach dip with chips. Absolute rubbish. PLEASE train your cooks how to properly prepare your food. Tonight I ordered the Bourbon Street Steak. I ordered it medium, with the standard garlic mashed potatoes. Medium is supposed to come warm to hot, with pink showing in the middle. Pretty simple. I received shoe leather. Shoe leather. I don't know long they cooked it, but it was obviously much longer than they were supposed to. The waitress did ask if I wanted it refired, but I've been around long enough to know what happens in a kitchen when you send food back, so I politely turned that offer down, as well as the free dessert. The steak was removed from my bill, as it should have been. The potatoes were ok. What is so hard about quality checking your food before it leaves the kitchen? One quick look would have told anyone with half a brain this steak was prepared incorrectly. Come on, guys... get it together! read more

We ate here in between my lacrosse tournament. The service was quick, good job. My kid's cheeseburger was good but cold and the meat was way smaller than the bun. My dad's riblets were awesome. The meat portion was bigger than it usually is. We all ate it! I forgot to take a picture of our appetizer, the bbq boneless wings. They were good, but they are not wings, just chicken nuggets LoL. My mom's salmon looked good but I did not try it because I cannot eat salmon. I ate all her broccoli! Hers was better than mine because they salted her broccoli, mine was just plain. My mom said her salmon was small and dry but she loved her French onion soup! The soup was the only food that came out hot. Why do restaurants always serve me cold food? I don't like that. This would rate as an average meal. Not much to really complain about, but a couple things that didn't make it great. We started with the pretzel sticks and beer cheese. They tasted good, but just a little to crunchy. My wife got the triple bacon burger and I got the all day burger. Both came with fries. Both burgers were asked to be well done. Mine was a little pink on one side. Luckily I don't mind them that way. Fries were warm, but not hot like they should be if they came out of the frier and played after the burger was done. Again, it was an enjoyable meal and nothing that was wrong was so bad that it earned a bad score. Of course I will eat here again. read more

We came in last night for a dessert and a beer and the entire restaurant was 30%-40% filled at 8:30-9 pm and we got sat right away but ended up walking out after 15 minutes of sitting at our table with no one greeting us or taking our drink order. Servers were taking care of all the tables around us not no one even acknowledged us. My girlfriend worked as a bartender and waitress for about 3-4 years so she is usually pretty understanding of poor service but she was even commenting on how terrible the service was. Do not go to this Applebee's and find somewhere better to go where the staff actually cares about service or representing their employer better. We live a few minutes from this location but we will certainly be going somewhere else as this place has a terrible reputation. Read the rest of the reviews. There were 5 of us who went here for a special birthday dinner. It was not busy on a late Sun afternoon, unlike many other places. Service was prompt & personable & they willingly accommodated some of us straggling in later. We all ordered something different, burgers, sandwiches with a wide selection of sides. Everything looked & tasted very good. My half rack of bbq ribs was great. They brought the birthday girl a brownie with ice cream covered with caramel & fudge. We all enjoyed our visit. read more

Oh my what has happened to Applebee's quality standards and staff manners? I went for lunch with some friends and we each ordered the lunch burgers. OMG so gross, they were pretty raw in the middle and I mean raw. We got the attention of the wait person who was rather rude and took the food back. Well it must had made the cook mad before the burgers came back out like hockey pucks. We complained and we told the manager was out for a while and no one could authorize a refund. Fellow server here! I was really impressed with our server Sophia L, she was polite, prompt with our meals and always knew when was the right time to grab that refill for us. She didn't wait too long to take our plates and neither did she take them away too early, she definitely deserves some recognition for doing such a brilliant job! Especially at 9:55 pm at night where she might be a little tired from her shift, but she didn't fail on making us feel welcomed! One complaint though... the music box, I did see a fellow Applebee worker selecting some strange music on there, and it didn't blend with the atmosphere of the restaurant. I know it's late, but sometimes something a little more relaxing and quiet would be better for a Monday night. Anyways, thank you Sophia for such excellent service!! read more

the mens bathroom is sick and every time im there i have hair in my food

During COVID lockdown I had ordered from here a couple of times and every time the food was excellent, even though the service was (understandably) slow. So I ordered the ribeye steak again for takeout, but what I got looked and tasted like pork. Maybe they boiled the meat to make it quicker to cook, but I'm not sure even boiled beef would ever look so pale and taste like pork. At least it wasn't reconstituted meat -- there was too much real gristle for that, and the texture was normal meat, but again, normal for pork. Disappointing. Was tempted to keep a piece of it to get it DNA tested, but my dog really wanted it. Curious to see if anybody else had a similar experience though. read more

Applebee's is a great establishment. Great place to have a few foamers. Great place to get 1/2 appetizers (it's casual, though, so just say "apps") after 9 pm. Great place to meet friends for a laugh. Even a great place to celebrate a 21st birthday. I can't tell you how much this place has meant to my friends and me. I was disappointed in the food. Our server was great, got us on our way to head to a performance with a smile and good service. I wish the food was as good. I got a ''pick two'' consisting of a lettuce wedge with blue cheese and other toppings. It just wasn't flavorful. My other pick was an onion steak. The steak was maybe two ounces and was tough. My SO had a strawberry salad with grilled chicken. She found the lettuce used to be overly spicy and overshadowing of the chicken. Of the other two members of our party, one had a hamburger that she said was just OK, and the other had a field greens salad with chicken, which he liked all right. Then the manager Chase brought our bill to the table incorrectly and refused to discount anything even though my entire family ate before my mother received her meal. This was really between a 2 and a 3 for me....mostly because of our server. For some reason every time she brought something to the table she had to be next to me and kept rubbing on me. She was setting something on the table and rubbed her arm on the rim of my glass. GROSS. She didn't even acknowledge it. How could you not feel that wetness on your upper arm?!?!?! 4 little kids ordered drinks - 1 said milk & 3 said lemonade and she got very overwhelmed by that. Everytime I have come to this location I have had wonderful service from the hostess and waitresses. Waitress was very aware of our allergies and made sure to get us the best food for us. Hostess gave us free dessert just for being respectful and outgoing. Allowed us to choose our own seats and checked on us many times to make sure we're doing good. read more

My family and I were fortunate enough to get out of the house and reclaim a little sanity during the pandemic. The staff was great and made our family feel safe and right at home. One of the managers(I believe his name was Al) was very friendly and sincere. He made the rounds to each table and was very polite. He even talked to our kids and asked how their dinner was. I'm seated quickly, and with a nice smile. I go to Applebees quite frequently (4-5 times a week....) Not because I'm lonely, but because I'm actually quite fond of one of the managers, the one that always wears a nice collared plaid shirt, the one with the gorgeous gleaming bald head. Anyway, I go to this Applebees so much, and every time I come in, I'm sat very quickly and with smiling faces and friendly banter. Sometimes, this manager even drops off my food, and when he does, it always a little bit more flavourful and a little hotter. Whenever he comes be there's always a sweet little conversation, and he's soooooo funny. I wish I could tip him, because he's just the most incredible restaurant manager I've ever seen. Whenever he's hassling his employees to do better, it gives me butterflies to see the respect he commands. Anyway my whisky bacon burger was delish! The buns were toasted to perfection, and the burger was dripping with sauce and juice, it got all over my face, dripping down my neck and down my shirt, all over my clothes. After I ate I needed to strip down in the mens bathroom and scurry out through the to-go door out to my car, hoping no one but the stud manager saw me. The crispy onions made my mouth water and tears flow from my eyes. The pickles made me want to scream without the s because of their rich flavour. The fireball infused sauce on the burger gave me just the buzz I needed to get me drooling for that manager again.
