The experience started out pretty good. We ordered the combo appetizer and asked the server to substitute the artichoke dip for queso, the server said they had to ask the manager if that was ok, the manager said we can do it. Food came about 35 minutes later and was pretty tasty. My complaint is when we went to pay their was a $2 up charge for the queso that wasn't disclosed. $2 isn't a big deal at all for me it's the issue of non-disclosure, if you're going to charge extra money for something say that upfront. The waitress was nice...but that's it. The smoke hits you like a ton of bricks once you walk in...so gross! I didn't even know smoking sections still exist! The water tasted like toilet water and even when I asked for soda instead it was still nearly impossible to drink. Never again.... This place is ridiculous. The new brisket nachos were a huge disappointment. They are served cold. They did not inform us that they are cold. It does not say that in the description. The nachos did not have even one ounce of brisket, a DRIZZLE of queso, and lightly sprinkled with tomatoes. Oh and did I mention for $10? Yay I love paying that much for some plain chips. When we asked if we could get some queso to dip our plate of dry chips in, they brought us a small ramekin of cold queso. You know how cold queso is... Not very ideal for dipping. This Applebees needs to be shut down. We order to go, because my husband can grab dinner on the way home. We have gotten rotten potatoes, Rotten chicken salad and very bloody steaks. We decided to give it one more try. Tonight they couldn't even put all the pieces together for our steak dinners. My husband sent them back twice. He didnt check everything because he had already had enough. The chicken wontons are supposed to be in their own containers so the wontons don't get soggy. Tonight they put them together and threw them in the serving container. They looked like someone walked on our food , and then said here eat it. They can't seem to be able to make sure orders are right. When you call,and ask to speak with a manager,, they are always new and they are trying to fix the problems. We wasted $75.98 on food that is undateable, and that should have never been allowed to leave the restaurant. My wife and went on a Wednesday. It was a cold, rainy day and neither of us wanted to travel far or for that matter cook. Wednesday's are all you cook eat wings and half price bottled wine. I would have spent double at Hooters. The staff was awesome and the manager even better. My wife likes the flats of the wings, not the drumettes. The waitress asked the manager and he said, "No problem." The wings were very good and the fries, unlike Hooters, were hot and crispy. The first order has between 15 and 20 wings. So they are very generous. I wanted to try a different sauce. The next order, about seven or eight of them, were placed early by the waitress so we wouldn't have to wait. This place is terrible. We waited forever, our food was barely edible. I don't expect 5 star Service in Texas because servers only make $2.35 an hour plus tips. So how much ass can you kiss for 2 bucks. But the quality of food is what I am complaining about. Complete waste of money. I have been thinking about this meal all night. It was so bad. And it's not just that specific restaurant , It is literally the quality of food that Applebee's sells. I ordered a prime rib French dip and it was $13 in the picture it showed it being served on a Dutch crunch roll what I got was some thing similar to a hotdog roll with what looked like crunchy cheese on top, But I don't think it was. The roll was so chewy and gummy it was sticking to my teeth. I think the fake bread at Subway is better than this crap. The prime rib was so fatty and chewy I had to throw most of it away. Isn't prime rib supposed to be tender? The au jus was tasty but so full of onions I barely got any juice. The garlic mashed potatoes had zero flavor and no seasoning. The fresh steamed broccoli was over cooked in fact I think it was fresh frozen. This food was so low quality I think I'm calling corporate. $85 meal should be edible. read more

I always get good food and good service at this location. My favorite dishes are the wanton tacos, Thai shrimp salad, and the new lemon chicken I can't remember exactly the correct name for it. The waiters and waitresses are always super nice and attentive. I subtracted 1 star due to the fact there is a lot of smoking going on in the bar area which is in the center of the restaurant and they have a lot of regulars that come in and smoke a lot and are loud so makes the atmosphere kind of like a dive bar read more

What happened to this place? They still allow smoking so there is that....i feel gross after spending only 30 minutes there. I smell like smoke and bad food..... and the food is so low quality... The staff and food are good but the whole place REEKS of cigarette smoke. Definitely do not bring children or people who are sensitive to the smoke/smell of smoke. Have been to several Applebee's and I have not seen the others allow smoking, not sure how this one does especially since it is inside in closed doors!! I remember now why it's been so long since I've actually purchased food from an Applebee's. The food quality was awful. I got the shrimp and Parmesan steak. It used to be shrimp with a bunch of melted Parmesan on the steak. Now it is like an Alfredo sauce and shredded Parmesan. It was served luke warm and tasted very bland. The mashed potatoes were just extremely runny. They tasted like a plate of mildly warm sour cream in fact. A friend at the table ordered soup and this was served cold according to her. Didn't even make it in the restaurant bc already had a sore throat/trachea, instant runny nose and chest pains just standing in the lobby discussing with my kids the plumes of smoke and the fact we could not believe the stench and how people aren't dead working here. Left immediately and called the store giving them feedback- the person answering was very nice but on a real level- I would not eat or work in that place. Long term employees of that place probably have a second hand smoke lawsuit on their hands for respiratory and allergy issues and possibly cancer problems. Manager Chris and team is amazing. They demonstrate great attitude to rude customs who demand bills be free and then not tip there waiter (after they ate all the food). The manager is always helping others and steps up for his team. The bar staff is friendly and know your name. The waiters are nice,friendly and are dealing with a lot of rude people, those people should try serving for one day and not get a tip. read more
