I would like to start this with I work in the food industry as a Togo specialist. Last night at 7:56 pm I ordered nachos and a soda for car-side pickup, and my order was to be ready at 8:16. I arrived early around 8:05, and I had waited until 8:20 before I started to get agitated, and decided to go inside to see if there was any issues. After going inside the lady I presume was on Togo double looked at me before asking if i needed help, to which i said i had a Togo order and she found it for me then asked if it was a DoorDash or another outside courier, and I said it was carside pickup so she apologized, and then I had to ask for a straw because there wasn't one. When I got to my car I checked my food, and since they were nachos they were soggy, so I went back inside to get new ones, and I had spoke to the manager, and he said he would personally bring the new ones out to me. He did in fact not bring it out to me, a different team member did. I would also like to add that to go was not busy, and there were multiple people on Togo as well. The replacement nachos were good which is why i put 2 stars. I would not recommend ordering Togo from here. read more

Food was not good. We had there 15.99 all you can eat. The riblets taste like they came out of a microwave container. The shrimp tastes rubbery and chewy. The chicken was so small and skinny it looked like shriveled up chicken strips you'd get in the freezer aisle for kids. The only highlight from the night was victor our server he was very attentive and knew the menu. The decor needs work as you can see from pictures there was a leak at some point. When i got home i felt sick. I still feel sick and I'm probably going to puke the food up. The Lancaster Barnstormers no longer exist and thats a feature on their wall that needs updated to the stormers. Highly recommend going to Texas Roadhouse instead hopefully the new management will improve the food. read more

the best thing about a big chain restaurant is consistency. i know what i like at applebees and am happy to get those things. that being said, this was the worst experience i've ever had at an applebees. i ordered an oriental chicken salad and the chicken fried wonton tacos. those are my two favorite items from their menu. the salad arrives with no dressing. confusing, i know, since the menu clearly lists the dressing in the description. so, obviously i was unaware that i needed to ask for it. the chicken on the salad was a bit overcooked. at least, i'm assuming they haven't changed the dish to be served with chicken jerky... and if they have, the menu needs changed to reflect that. the wonton shells were also a little overcooked, so much so that there was a slight burnt flavor peeking through. in short, the food was mid at best. however, the service??? well, let's just say that i am hard pressed to say anything positive about it. maybe i just come off as someone who kicks puppies, but that too is something i have been completely unaware of. one would think someone would have told me before now. when this sassy ball of disdain took our order, he seemed uninterested in actually committing it to memory. when he came to our table i had a couple things i wanted to ask for. he magnanimously allowed me to get one of those things out before making a hasty getaway, intently ignoring that i had other things i wanted. when he came back, and here i must confess to a bit of cheeky temerity for asking, i requested some actual dressing for my salad. this was promptly met with an eye roll and barely audibly scoff. i heard it, though. the attitude with which he asked us if we were sure that there was nothing else was faintly reminiscent of a 14 year old being asked to get off the phone and take out the trash. honestly. the 3 of us who were in my party are fully aware that servers get treated harshly every single day. we understand that it's a tough job and that often the server only takes the job because they need it. thusly, we tend to be very understanding, patient, and generous with the tips. my husband, awesome dude that he is, WILL NOT leave anything less than 15%. the service was so bad, this guy only got the 15%. if he hadn't been so awful, he would have received twice that... and i'm not even exaggerating. read more

I ordered the quesadilla burger without the pico but with tomato. It came with the tomato and the pico. Having never came to see how everything was ok, I scraped the pico off and ate it. Now I am suffering from the eating the pico. My aunt asked if they still have waffle fries. The server said yes, would you like waffle fries? She said yes please. I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Kiyah, and I cannot say enough great things about her! From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly professional. Kiyah made sure we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask. Her energy was so positive and friendly--it truly elevated the whole dining experience. She was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and had the perfect balance of being personable while still efficient. I'm a fan of Applebees; however, I was disappointed with this one. Was visiting Lancaster and stopped to eat. The restaurant is an older decor and appeared to be clean, but the bathroom had "water" on the floor around the toilets ( gross). The food was excellent. The service was disappointing. Our female server had no personality. She took our order and brought the drinks. We had to get her attention for a dessert and our bill. This was 7-8 pm and not that busy. Absolutely the worst dining experience I've ever had. Our server, Victor, was rude and inattentive, then falsely accused my party of dining and dashing--after we had already paid, tipped, and had receipts to prove it. He chased us down, paraded us back through the restaurant, and berated us in front of other guests. We were forced to pay a second time--for his mistake--and tip again, while management stood by and did nothing. We left feeling degraded and disrespected. a friend and I stopped here Sunday afternoon ravenous and thirsty. Beat things about our experience were our server Victor, and our drinks. Victor took good care of us, brought our beverages quickly, and when we ordered he pointed out we could get an app or salads as part of the 2 for $25 special. Great service. The food was not great. I ordered "four cheese mac and cheese with sweet and spicy chicken tenders." what I got was some poorly made linguini Alfredo with weirdly sweet chicken tenders. sone of the pasta was undercooked and stuck together and it was nothing like mac n cheese. I didn't mention it to the waiter bc I didn't want to have to wait for another meal and frankly I was too tired. My friend's chicken and shrimp was ok but didn't knock her socks off either. Stopped here two days in a row because it was truly delicious! The waitress was very nice and diligent, and took our orders promptly. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger (well done/no pink), salmon, and fish & chips. The portions are very large. The burger was cooked extremely well ~ I have found that most places find it difficult to find the balance between well done & juicy, but Applebees Lancaster did just that. The toppings were extremely fresh and tasty, and the side of fries were good. The seafood dishes were also quite taste, and the side of mashed potatoes were to die for! The second day we came in we were assisted by a trainee waiter. He was superb and was very personable. We ordered two burgers and a chicken tender plate - all with a side of mashed potatoes. The burgers, again, were cooked perfectly. The chicken tenders were very tasty. The waiter accidentally brought fries for the chicken tender side, but immediately replaced it when he realized. Good place with good food & personable service. Despite what most reviews say, I think this Applebees has improved drastically. read more

She was amazing as well as her manager BEAU who asked a lot of times if there was anything that he could do for me, which made me not feel not forgotten, even though I was sitting in a corner, trying to do a homework. We haven't been to Applebees in quite a while and wanted to try it out again. Unfortunately, most of the food tasted like pretty lackluster frozen items, premade sauces, and mass produced items. It cannot be said that this is the case for all chain restaurants at the same price point, as there are several in the same category that we really enjoy. The one exception was the kids' menu chicken tacos. It was not a good value for the cost. The waitstaff was super kind when seating us and as they came by, but not attentive after the food had been delivered. I haven't been to Applebees since I was a kid, so after shopping at the outlets we figured we'd all get some food. There were 6 of us total and when the host asked us how many, we said 6. Then he was all like "are you sure there's 5 of you?" And then we were like "no,6. " kind of odd, but we shook it off. When we get to the table we find out that the host only gave us 5 menus when there were 6 of us!! We all were just weirded out. We then sat for 20 minutes waiting for a server. The server we had was very nice, but that lazy excuse of a bartender Steve wasn't! My mom and I ordered the tipsy reindeer drink that calls for VODKA. However when we tried it, all we could taste was TEQUILA. And not even the good stuff, it was Jose Cuervo. My mom went up to the bar and kindly asked to make us new ones because there was tequila in it instead of vodka. He said he wouldn't because he said he put vodka in it. Well she went up a second time and he was willing to remake it but you could tell he was pissed. When he was done making them, my mom said something like "hopefully they are much better this time" in a friendly way, Steve had to be a jerk and say "well yeah they should be, you watched me make them this time". We tried the drinks and they were better. A few minutes go by and he asked how they were, we said that they're now perfect and thanked him Then he made the weirdest face and then rolled his eyes at us when we thanked him. Literally after that he kept staring at our table giving everyone weird looks. Like dude idk why you're being so entitled, you're literally a bartender at Applebees. Finally our food comes out and everyone was pleased. I've always loved Applebees fries because they're so fresh and well seasoned. I got the chicken fajita roll up. My Mom and I did a girls' trip to Lancaster and saw Applebee's and decided to stop in. It was not crowded at all and we were seated right away. Our server Tiffany M was super friendly and sweet! She had a smile on her face the whole time and made sure that we had everything that we needed. I ordered a Diet Coke (which was really tasty!), and my Mom and I decided to do the 2 for $22 meals. We split an order of mozzarella sticks and she got the Fiesta Lime Chicken, and I got chicken tenders with barbecue sauce. I was surprised to see how much food we received for the price! It was incredible! SOOO many mozzarella sticks, and I got a lot of chicken tenders, I ended up saving half to share with my husband for later. The barbecue sauce was also super delicious. Came in late, if it's a factor. The menu didn't appeal to me as being interesting... just another corporate spot with bland, affordable food. Not much different from dozens of other chains that once flourished in the 80s and 90s. Nothing really appealed to me so I chose a grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes and a side. Service was solicitous and friendly, but the dinner arrived very cold mashed potatoes shouldn't be congealed and cold like a pallid lump of garlicky play-doh. The chicken breast was dry, tough, and also only lukewarm at best. I did swap out broccoli for macaroni, shame on me, but that was the star of the meal. I notified the waiter and he replaced the potatoes with a bowl that had the temperature of molten lava, which was good I suppose. The booth was freezing and I had to eat my meal with a jacket on. Not the best dining experience but far from the worst. Two stars for a good waiter. The rest, ehhhh.... nothing to write home about. read more

I walked in on a Saturday night to a pretty empty restaurant and the hostess told me it would be a 30 minute wait because they're extremely understaffed but wouldn't let us sit down at a table... Annoying but okay. One of my friends got the chicken baja bowl and the rice was literally mush. Like she couldn't even stomach it. The best part is that I got the classic combo and underneath the stale chips I found a raw piece of breaded chicken... The server was even disgusted and told us that the chicken isn't breaded until it's cooked so I really don't know what went wrong.
