Delicious pizza, salads, and sides with a homey, tight tables ambiance. Service was great, and while prices may seem a bit high, you get what you pay for in fresh ingredients and made to order meals. A welcome addition to the Lititz restaurant scene.

I flew in early for a work trip and decided to stay in Lititz. My hotel recommended Cavolo. It did not disappoint! A great atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food! I ate at the outside patio bar and it was the perfect spot for a solo traveler!

Went with a large group and these pizzas did not disappoint! We were able to taste most of the menu - Margherita, bolognese, eggplant, sweet pea, mushroom, Ferrari and all were super flavorful with perfect char on the crust. The interior is cute and comfortable and there was plenty of room for our reservation. I tried their soft serve as well and it was a great texture. Would happily recommend!

We sat outside to people watch and it took over 20 minutes until we had a server approach us. Ordered drinks that was another 10 minutes, then once we had our drinks we ordered a Maggie pizza with mushrooms. After about 30 minutes our pizza arrived that was burnt on top. Our server was very cheerful, however I give the service a 2 at best, atmosphere a 4.5, and food a 1.5 and that is being generous. We have had better pizza getting the cheap frozen pizza at the.grocery store. While we were cashing out we watched a young couple with 2 kids walk out saying we sat for over 20 minutes and no one approached their table. Good thing we were just hanging out to people watch and had time to kill. The service and food were a total disappointment.

Friends, The wait is over my fellow Pennsylvanians! Pizza, Good pizza, Affordable Pizza, Wood fired Pizza has arrived!!! Lots of buzz about Cavolo! (Italian Slang for Holy Smokes!) The buzz is good and so is the pizza. I grew up in Brooklyn in the 1970's and enjoyed Pizza made by the best. Anthony Pero from Totonno (He brought pizza to the states) This pizza is just as good! Thin crust, quality cheese, San Marzano sauce cooked in a wood fired oven (That have two of them!!) We had our food in like 6 minutes!!! I drove from Lancaster and there is one place in Lancaster for good pizza but they charge $17 for a pie that's smaller and not as tasty. Cavolo! is worth the drive. Also had their meatball appetizer, hand made meatballs clearly done in delicious sauce and ricotta also cooked in that wood fired oven. Make the drive, arrive early and come back here and thank me!!!

First time here and we sat on the outside porch. Devon, our server, was friendly. Both pizzas we ordered were delicious! We were happy to have visited for dinner.

We had a fabulous lunch at Cavolo. It's a very nice new place, not that big, and no tables bigger than 4 tops. The service was fast and friendly and the food was great. The shrimp appetizer was so good and left us with garlic sauce to dip crust in. The salad was small but very good. The pizzas were all very good. Our favorite was the sunshine summer tomato white pizza. We also had the summer pizza and the margarita which they call a Maggie. All around excellent meal and at a reasonable price. Pizzas were around $20 appetizers were $10 to $15.

We went opening weekend--vibes were great. Seating was tight, so we were seated at the bar in front of the kitchen, which made it feel like we were in an episode of The Bear. Staff looked stressed but the head chef clearly has high standards (though I respectfully disagree--my ficcocia didn't need more browning, thanks). Food came out slow and out of order. Salad was but drowned in dressing. The pizza? Absolute 10/10. Would love more vegan options. Great prices for the quality, and the menu hits a sweet spot--good variety without trying to do too much. Servers knew their stuff. Heads up: it's street parking only and definitely not wheelchair friendly.

The ambiance of Cavolo was great! Comfortable yet casual! The food was excellent and the waitress explained the menu perfectly! A lot of the menu is in Italian and we weren't sure what is what when it came to wine and the server described the dishes we questioned very well!

My wife and I had lunch here with some friends and it was fantastic. I had the sausage pizza with white sauce and my wife had the "Maggie", a red sauce pizza. Both tasted delicious with a perfect wood-fired, thin crust. Our server was attentive and thoughtful.

I ordered a pizza online and added a prosciutto topping ($12 add) on it. When I arrived for pick up my pizza it was already in the box but a server was arranging the cold prosciutto in a separate box to go. I questioned why wasn't my prosciutto topping cooked on top of the pizza instead of a cold side. She said "oh that would be a special order". I didn't ask if they would serve cold pepperoni with my pizza if ordered a pepperoni topping. I wouldn't mind if a mistake was made but the server insisted that adding prosciutto be cooked on my pizza would require a "special order". I've never had that experience in any Italian or pizza restaurant in my life. Yet, she insisted serving the prosciutto topping should be served as a side to the hot pizza. That being said, pizza was decent but first time, last time.

Went to Cavolo last night and once again was blown away by the food but even more by the amazing service provided by Ray our bartender. I have found in the hospitality industry the best thing a Bartender or server can do is "listen" to their customers... Ray listens and delivers. Will be back soon...

6/19/2026 A less than perfect anniversary dinner experience…read more We were looking forward to this dinner, as we had a really nice brunch there in December, but we were largely disappointed. The restaurant was very busy at 7 PM on a Friday, and can be pretty noisy. Fortunately, we were guided to a table in a spot somewhat secluded from the noise, so we were able to talk, at least. (We were seated in a corner with three other couples also celebrating anniversaries.) Our server Brad was pleasant, introduced us to the menu and provided water. The menu is new for Spring. It focuses on pasta dishes, with only four Secondi: fish, beef, Cornish game hen and lamb. Pasta dishes are entree size, but available as primi, except for the risotto. (The difference in price between the two sizes was surprisingly small.) If you want bread with your meal, you must pay extra. Brad took our drink orders and returned with a nice amuse bouche, my Basil Hayden dark rye (not an overwhelming selection of whiskeys at the bar) and B's negroni. We each had a glass of a nice Barbera red wine with our entrees. I decided on the zucchini blossoms for an antipasti, B for the grilled Spring veggies. Both were fine. Unfortunately, the plates and flatware with which they were served lingered on the table throughout the meal. We finally asked that the plates be removed, but it was clear we were expected to use the same knife and fork for our entire meal. (Sorry, but this is a pet peeve of mine. I expect clean tableware for each course in a fine dining restaurant. Flatware test: Fail.) B deferred on pasta, but I ordered a primi portion of the Bucatini Amatriciana. The dish was delicious, but served with no spoon. I cannot understand why a restaurant doesn't offer a spoon for any dish that has a sauce, but this was long pasta! How does one twirl without a spoon? The mains were probably the most disappointing. I ordered the Carne Arristuta (flank steak) with espresso crust and lemon brown butter beet purée. The steak was fine but the purée was tasteless and contributed nothing to the dish. B ordered Branzino, which came with fregola and a fennel and Spring pea purée. Her purée was likewise tastless (how can fennel be tasteless?), and it and the fregola added nothing to the dish. Both entrees just seemed poorly conceived. We were given complementary Cannoli for our anniversary, espresso and Café Americano. Service was attentive, but it took some time to get our water refilled. When the check came, B noticed we had been overharged for her Branzino, which we had corrected. The setting is nice, but at these prices (over $200), I expect something more special.

The Metra D escorted us to the hotel lobby, where he bought us a round of drinks while we waited for our table to be available. We were not able to get to our table until 8 PM. We appreciated his gesture of putting us in a comfortable seating area and buying us a round. Once got to our table, we had an excellent experience. We tend to order many appetizers so we can all get a bite of them, then order our own meals and desserts. The food was outstanding! For appetizers, our favorite was the avocado! I don't know how they prepared it, but it was so flavorful that we were ready to lick the plate! We also had the crab coquettes, oysters, tuna tartar, and the wedge salad. All were amazing. After speaking with the maître D, we decided to each try an ounce of the Wagyu! It was the best 1 ounce steak that we have ever had! Myself and two others decided to split the tomahawk steak. What a great experience as it came, and the server squeezed roasted garlic on top and also gave us chimichurri and horseradish sauce! Others got the fillet and enjoyed it. One of our guests had the haddock and said it was the best fish that she's ever had. We enjoyed the dessert as well, the chocolate mousse being a favorite!
