Please be on the lookout for critters because they may just try to hitch a ride back to your house. Dined in & ordered the brisket tacos with extra onion straws. Food came out with chopped up onion rings. The waiter said they were out of onion straws so they substituted with onion rings. I told the waiter that you should've told me they were out of onion straws and I would have ordered something else. The manager, Joey, came to the table and acted as if I was an inconvenience to him. He was very condescending and told me the onion rings are the same as the onion straws. Then asked me what I want to order, his tone was extremely disrespectful so I said I don't want anything but my check for my drinks. When the check came out Joey was still trying to charge me for the food! Not once did Joey apologize, his attitude & demeanor was extremely disrespectful. I have never experienced anything like this! This is the best Applebees I've ever been to. Only a 4 hour wait with an extremely helpful young woman named YaShawdra. My food was perfectly cooked and they even gave me a cup of sour cream for the road! Upon leaving a fistfight broke out between two mad lads and the staff of this establishment rushed out to place bets. I personally bet on the underdog because he reminded me of myself in my younger and more vulnerable years. Overall, when the underdog actually won, I made $80 which covered my meal and my baby's new cellular device. 10/10 would get dinner and a show again at this fine establishment. My only complaint is that one of the cooks (atleast that's who I assume they were) was smoking a cigarette in the bathroom. The reason I didn't deduct a star for this was because he offered me one as well. This is usually the only location I go too, but after today And the last visit I'm not sure I'll be back. Waited 8 mins for someone to even greet me. I was also standing at the door for at least 3 mins before someone sat me. The food is good but the customer service is getting worse every time I come. I work in a restaurant myself so I know sometimes it gets hectic and people make mistakes but I would have to say my visit today was horrible. Thank you to the one that noticed I had been sitting there and took care of instead of walking by like some did. I wish I would of gotten her name. I hope the customer service gets better for sure. read more

My husband and I stopped by to have dinner. We had to wait for the person that was to seat us stop talking a employee to seat us. She only gave us ONE menu for two people. The couple that came in behind us received two menus. When our orders arrived we had to request the rest of it. The waitress FORGOT. So not very happy with the place. read more

As you can see, I left a review in 2015. This restaurant (and I use the term loosely) had kind of stepped up their game for a while but unfortunately has fallen back into the abyss. Went there last night. The hostess was really pi**ed that we had come in so late (about 30 minutes before closing time but hey, they were still open) and she showed it. Music again so loud we couldn't talk.....asked for it to be turned down....again. The food was stone cold and tasteless. My sister got Nachos and they were cold (and I mean refrigerator cold). They were sent back to be placed in the microwave but when they came back they were not much different, still cold. I got the chicken quesadillas (barely placed on the grill). Unfortunately as well, there is really no place to eat that late in Lexington. I was right when I wrote a review in 2015...we should have gone to Waffle House or Sonic....and will next time. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because Matt took really good care of me earlier this week but I stopped in tonight and no one came to my table for 15 minutes before I decided to go to flight deck down the road. It felt so awkward because there were servers/hosts looking their phones and "letting their hair down" and all I wanted was a Bloody Mary after a long day and nobody had time to notice that I sat there for 15 minutes after a stressful day. I'm not mad at anyone, I really wanted that drink. I just think management should know. Service could use some conditioning. read more

We sat at the bar and the server greeted us right away and was wonderful. She was attentive the whole time with us. Unlimited chicken tenders and riblets were amazing. The service was top notch and can't complain about anything. Three dollar vodka and cranberry drinks hit the spot. read more

We stopped in for dinner while in town visiting my MIL in the hospital. We were tired and hungry and just wanted a quick meal so we could get home. Our waiter was very nice and took our drink orders immediately, but then came back to say they were out of the summer beer my husband ordered. I ordered a specialty margarita that was very good, but they didn't fill my glass to the top! Also, it annoys me that they don't put the prices of their specialty drinks in their menu. We did the 2 for $20 and were pleasantly surprised at the size of our house salads and then with our entrees, which were very fresh. The only complaint with my meal was the white rice, which was either overcooked or not freshly made because it was tough and chewy. The manager was going around to all the tables making sure everyone was happy, so it seems like they are really trying to improve. The outside of this Applebee's has been updated but the inside still needs some freshening up. read more

Just your typical Applebee's. Met up with a few people to have dinner here tonight and noting over the top. It did take our waitress a few minutes to come and get our order, but once we ordered, our meals came out in less than ten minutes (not sure if it helped that it was still early when we had dinner). It also took our waitress a while to bring back our refills on our water. Was not too impressed with what I got for what for dinner. A 4 oz. sirloin with minimal potatoes and a HUGE salad. Had to ask two different people three different times to get straws. A manager said he'd get us refills becuase the server was busy, only to disappear and never return. Friendly waitstaff. Horrible management. I ordered a 12oz sirloin, Pittsburg rare. The steak came out medium! The server, Cara offers a free replacement. The manager, and apparently also the cook on Mondays ( apparently to save labor cost, they explained, they don't have a real cook everyday) brought out the steak, and expressed concern that the steak was too raw. But again, I ordered a "cold red center" and got a hot brown, medium steak. He looked flabbergasted, and JUST WALKED away. No comp, no discount, no apologies. We left convinced that Applebees is NOT a good place for steak, or mistakes. We will be taking our business to a locally owned steakhouse next time, and every time. Cheers! read more

I took my grandson out after the movies and wanted to try someplace different...sorry I made this my choice. He ordered the chicken fingers and fries... can't go wrong with that. I got the chicken from the 2 for $20. menu...I think it was called Chicken Caprese?? Did NOT enjoy that at all!!! It had sliced grilled chicken topped with mozzarella and sliced tomato on a bed of "mashed" potatoes. There was absolutely no flavor to anything on the plate...Not one drop of seasoning...Bland. The potatoes were barely mashed...Big chunks of flavorless starch. We also had mozzarella sticks which were cold. The waiter was "ok" seemed to be depressed...But...After I complained about the food he didn't charge for the drinks so I appreciated that ...but not enough to go back there again! read more

Monday is cheap burnt burger night at the neighborhood crapplebees. I know the food is never good, yet I still find myself going there once or twice a year. As usual food was sub par. My burger was burger flavored ashes with a nearly raw egg on top. We never got refills on drinks, and my husband was almost done when he finally got sauce for his chips. Nice atmosphere at this location (all Applebee's are actually pretty decent). Could have been cleaner -- table tops are not as clean as I would like. Each time we've been to this Applebee's we have had a great experience. Love their French Onion soup and Cowboy burger...among many other foods. Appetizer Trio is good too. Me and my family ate her for lunch. Servers are pleasant. Manager checked in on us and asked for refills. There seemed to be only one person taking orders. The place wasn't busy at all but the server made it seem as so. It seemed like the fries were reheated. We had to give them back once. The grilled cheese was cold. The manager took them off for us. When we received our orders, my chicken fajita roll-up was very small. I opened it up and it was nothing but lettuce, sauce, and about an ounce of chicken! I sent it back and received a better replacement. The chipotle sauce was way too salty. French onion soup, about 6oz only and not topped with mozzarella! Waiter told me Swiss but it tasted like crusted Parmesan. Overall it was marginal. But my lunch buddy got the 6 oz sirloin which he enjoyed. But his broccoli was dry so he had to order melted butter to choke it down. Not worth the $24 for lunch. While we were there someone else came back with his whole dinner and asked for a replacement. Casual dining can not be this bad. Servers on phones, eating out of the kitchen while walking through the dining room, licking fingers, and wiping nose with palm (all together in one pass through)... all while the manager sat at the end of the bar looking like a deer in headlights. What looked to be shiftchange at 2pm ended up being a server birthday party where every one gathered and talked about how they played poker last night, slept til noon, and spoke their knowledge of high end steak houses in which was comical. Very little attentiveness, slow sub-marginal food and when I asked for lettuce and tomato for my burger, I was told it didn't come with it but it wasn't a problem. After 10 minutes I asked again for lettuce and tomato and Tyfoid Mary bright it out. Left payment and food. Not worth my time. I don't want to set a negative example for my children by complaining on how to act in public. I teach on making better choices. read more

They got the rareness confused between mine and my father's meat - WE DIDN'T EVEN ORDER THE SAME THING. My usual order is the chicken penne and some sort of appetizer with it. I often go with my family and we'll go for the really good '2 for $20' deal they have going on there. The pasts is great, although the pasta sauce is a bit scarce. The service was great the first time I went, and it's still great by regular standards, but some employees really do make the dining experience more fun and interesting than others. The food's great even though it's sometimes cold (which is pretty weird to say). Also, the atmosphere could use some work. This particular location is nice with a cozy feel to it and I do enjoy that, still. read more

Applebees has been a familiar brand that most of us have come to know well. Like many before it, they have finally run their course and need to close. In their attempts to keep prices down they have now reached the point their food is terrible. Yes, they may still provide the neighborhood bar feel but when the food is so bad one is still left looking for sustenance. Last night my wife ordered her favorite, Oriental Salad. First, it came out with very little greens. Then she discovered that at least 1/4 of what she did get was from the core of the greens and not worth eating. The chicken on the salad also tasted like it had been rolled in salt before cooking. Her assessment..."remind me to never eat at Applebees again!" Goodbye, old friend...we won't be back. read more

My wife and I visited this location on May 5th. I was very disappointed in the service. My drink stayed empty. We waited what seemed like forever for out food. They weren't busy. When the food came out, the chicken was extremely rubbery. It was disgusting. I would recommend this restaurant, just not the location. read more
