We have been coming to this Lucky's location since finding it five or six years ago. We had not been in a while since moving from nearby Gaston to Camden but made a special effort to go on Friday April 18, 2026. I always loved the burgers who tasted great and were pretty obviously hand patted on location. Not so much yesterday. The patty was much smaller with less taste and appeared to be perfectly round as if it had come in frozen. It was a huge disappointment. A year ago, I would have given it five stars. Based on yesterday's trip, I would give it three. Everything else was much as I recall. A friendly, upbeat vibe with great service. It is in an odd location beside an old Piggly Wiggly (that is being rehabbed into a WesCo Brew & Bowl. It is in Cayce but has a West Columbia address. Lucky's Facebook page refers to its location as both cities in different spots. I would go back and order potato soup and a sald which I have had there before. read more

Great little dive bar, but I have to pull one star because of my biggest pet peeve. LIME WHEELS. I did glance around, but I wasn't really cognizant of how many TVs they had, they had a couple back behind the bar but I'm sure they had more strewn throughout. Didn't use the restroom so couldn't tell you about that. I ordered my signature vodka and soda with extra lime, and got a bunch of lime pulp in my fingernails, instead of my drink. This is my only gripe of this place. When will you bar owners learn, lime wheels cost you money. My bartender was Daryl. Guy was super nice and on top of things. It's a little hometown bar, I sat at the bar and got to galavant with a few of the locals. One retired NYPD police chief, a couple truck drivers, and a random couple, but besides the couple, everybody there knew everybody there. I ordered a blackened chicken salad. Portion was huge, for the price. The chicken was really really good. I've never had jalapeno ranch dressing before, but it was also really good!. I was challenged to a game of pool by a local, but I need to be responsible and had to shut it down early, but they have obviously a pool table and a jukebox and all that. I didn't try any other food, because I ate across the street last night, but the next time I'm here, I will probably eat here again as opposed to Carolina wings and ribs, even though I enjoyed that place as well. Besides the lime, this place is doing all the right things in my opinion. I had 2 Tito vodka sodas and a huge chicken salad, and it was under 25 bucks!! But I'll definitely be back, and I'll be asking for wedges. I wish I could have gone five stars, but STOP WITH THOSE DAMN LIME WHEELS, AND GIVE US WEDGES!! read more

Five stars in every aspect. Great food, excellent staff, cheery vibes! There's even two pool tables for people to enjoy. Even though the restaurant was packed, we got our order in quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive either. Chef Salad - Highly recommend this if you're in the mood for a salad. The portion is HUGE, and they don't skimp out on the protein. The Netecke Whale - A solid, standard burger. You cannot go wrong with this one. Lucky Burger - I personally like this one more than The Netecke Whale, because it also has bacon, mushrooms, and onion straws (yum!). Not much to look at from the outside. You might even think, there is no way a place like this could be good BUT step on in and you might be surprised to see a room full of people dining, drinking and enjoying themselves. I am SO glad we checked the Yelp reviews and tried Lucky's Sport Shack. The reviews were spot on this place was amazing!!! We were greeted by Stacy. She was so sweet and helpful and just a joy. Lovers of fried mushrooms, we had to try them. They were delicious to say the least. But that was just the start of a great dining experience. Stacy was always smiling and always asking if we needed anything but then what's this?? Brittany the other server also came over and checked on us. No way!!! Fabulous service and great food. We were there on a Friday so the special was Seafood. Are you thinking what I was thinking?? They probably just serve fried Seafood!!! But Oh My Gosh, nope their seafood platter was available fried, grilled or blackened. We ordered fried and blackened. The food was brought to us by Darryl, the third server!!! Wow. What great teamwork. The food was great! It was fried catfish and it was definitely amazing. Blackened and fried we both enjoyed the meal. The shrimp was so good too. And the price - just right!! Wow. It was truly a special!! We ended the meal with their Tuxedo Bomb. Layers of chocolate mousse in a chocolate shell. It was a fabulous way to end the dining experience. We had an added bonus on this visit, live music!! We really enjoyed listening to the performer!! It was a fantastic dining experience. I'm not kidding, I suggested we return Saturday to try out other meals and enjoy the great service. So definitely if given an opportunity, we would return. This is a cute little sports bar in a shopping center, plenty of parking. The menu is served daily and they also have lunch specials Tuesday through Friday. Food was delicious. The potato soup was absolutely yummy. The bartenders, wait staff, and kitchen staff were all very nice. From the parking lot looking in, it doesn't look like much. But once you step inside, it's extremely clean and very well organized. As soon as we walked in, the bartender told us we could have a seat anywhere, and she immediately came over to our table and got our drink order. The place was about 80% packed and she came over with 2 mins of us walking in - very impressed with that. She never once let more than a few mins go by without checking on us. For dinner, we both had a cheeseburger. I had the club cheeseburger and was very surprised with the quality of the food as well as the amount of food that they gave us. The burgers were great and the place was a huge surprise. If you're looking for a simple place to eat, dinner, possibly watch a game, I would highly suggest going to this place. STILL 5 stars in my book. This is literally one of my favorite (almost daily) hangouts, even though I frequently forget to "check in" on Yelp. I love the staff, most of the customers are great, and the community of regulars is pretty good at encouraging the b-holes to move along somewhere else. Today's review is about their Corned Beef Rueben! Served on Marble Rye (the way it should be!) So what is Marble Rye you ask? It's a lovely swirl of Jewish style Rye bread, swirled with luscious dark Pumpernickel bread. It's just sooo yummy! But then when I (rarely) buy bread it's almost always pumpernickel. So this awesome sandwich starts with perfectly toasted marble rye bread, then it's topped with house made REAL shredded Corned beef. No sliced deli mystery meat on this sandwich. You know EXACTLY what you're get. Top that with melty swiss cheese, and tangy sauerkraut. Now, normally a Rueben is served with Thousand Island dressing (which can be a little sweet), but Luckys serves there's with a side of "Petal Sauce ". This is similar to a Thousand Island, but leave out the sweet pickle relish and replace that with a hit of horseradish! In a word, Petal Sauce is AWESOME! read more

My wife and I stopped here on our road trip from NC to TX. We have 2 dogs and we were welcomed with open arms. The customer service was top-notch and the food was delicious. We sat on the back patio area and the waitress brought our dogs water. We had the wings, sweet potato fries and fried okra. The Bloody Mary was one of the best I've ever tasted. Tried Lucky's Sports Shack because of others reviews on Columbia Foodies. We went at lunch and there are obviously a lot of regulars that go there. Our server was attentive and helpful. There were 3 of us and 2 of us got the Friday seafood special with fish and shrimp. It was fresh, hot, crispy and flavorful. The coleslaw is made in-house and had good flavor. The other meal was an Italian burger. It was delicious as well. We all enjoyed our lunch and will tell others. read more

Went with some friends. It's an okay bar close to their house. The server was kinda meh, even with my friends being regulars. Ordered grilled shrimp and a side salad. The shrimp were okay. The salad I had to remind the server to bring. It was full of white onions and had a ton of cheese on top, so that was also meh. Also, customers from the bar smoke right outside the front door, so every time the door opens you get hit with cigarette smoke. We have been regulars at Luckys for a few years. I also handle all special meetings/celebrations through my work and enjoy supporting their local business with our large quantity orders for work. The food is fantastic but service is spotty some nights better than others. The Cayce location they tend to play favorites with their regulars at the bar and neglect families coming to have dinner. There is one bartender/server in particular that has been fairly disrespectful in the past and we have looked the other way and been thankful when we visit if she is not their. Unfortunately last night was the final straw as the disrespectful server described above was present and when my fiancee asked nicely for the check this server blurted out, "Tell him(me) to get his fat ass up and come get it from the bar." Worst experience we have ever had at any resturant!! We will be moving all of our professional and family business across the street to Carolina wings from now on!! read more
