Always check your silverware... covid is still happening and we start eating our boneless wings when we realize there is green stuff on both of our forks. That doesn't seem like a covid precaution. I came to half apps at 10:30 and was charged twice and so was the table next to us. I paid with my card with having $12 in my account and paid $9.46 on the ziosk. Our server messed up on her end and had the manager Ashley give me a refund back to my account. I ended up giving them $10 in cash to pay my bill. On the way home I looked in my account and only got $4.99 back. The manager, Ashley was so rude and unprofessional. Worst service I have ever had. The workers were more interested in socializing with family, friends, and coworkers than taking care of customers. When my mother and I went for lunch there were only four other patrons and we had to wait for over an hour for burgers and fries. The food was cold when we finally got served. We then had to wait for an additional 15 minutes to get our waiters attention to pick up our payment. We had to flag him down in between his socializing. Worst experience ever! The place was partially filled and busy on Black Friday. Not sure if this is a normal night but I figure I give them some time to even attend our table. The hostess sat us down and said our server will be right over. We order apps from the device on the table. It did come out fairly quick but we're missing a few items. I mentioned about it and I also mention for some water....30 minutes goes by and the other items I requested and water never showed up. No one even acknowledge us anymore. My family went to eat tonight. Had a long rough day and we were all starving. The host was rude and short with us. Then we sat down. Waited a half hour and nobody even as acknowledged us. We didn't get a drink order. Not a hello. Nothing. The workers were looking at us but never came up to us once! Me being a sever knows this is not acceptable. Obviously I know places are understaffed but that's no excuse to not even say hello or get a drink order. Not to mention it wasn't that busy and they don't take anymore than parties of 6. Came in today. Waited quite a few minutes to be seated. Bartender eventually came to seat us. I asked for the manager immediately. The restaurant is near empty by the way. I advised I was concerned that we weren't being tended to in an orderly fashion. He apologized. In the meantime, a female employee was hanging on a male employee running around the bar flirting. While ok the clock. Gross and immature. Food took a while too. Saw the server go in and out of the kitchen 3 or 4 times not knowing where the food was supposed to go. Sadly, to my table. The manager came to check on us we advised unpleased he offered new food but given the amount of time it took the first time, and with our already mounting disappointment, we respectfully declined. The hostess was very aggressive and seemed angry (she did have two very rude girls walk in and so I sort of understand). Our server seemed very rushed and stressed and was pretty short with us and definitely rushed us to order. He forgot about my side salad and seemed irritated when I reminded him. I like applebee's food but unless you absolutely have to come here I'd go down the road to Chili's. I have to start by saying that I am not a huge Applebee's fan due to poor service and food quality through the years but after seeing a movie in the Falls, I decided to give it a try again - at a new location. The place was really crowded and I love the decor. They had wall dedicated to the sports teams for Menomonee Falls - pretty cool. Upon walking in, I noticed the restaurant was very clean too. Our waitress seemed very nice. I had the steak and it came a big rare so she took it back to get it cooked (this seems to be the main problem I always have at Applebees - rare meat) My plate came back, hot and refilled (BONUS) with my steak cooked just right. Great atmosphere. Seems to be the hot spot on a Friday night in the Falls. I really like this location but other than that, just still OK. read more

I hate writing bad reviews when the people are nice but the service is crappy, our waiter was nice and extremely busy with way more tables than they should give him and i understand that because i saw him running around working hard. However, there were 2 meals ordered and the person who brought us the food only brought 1 of them, when i finally had the chance to enjoy my steak, it was delightful... the problem was, no one brought me silverware... i had to wait 5 minutes (i timed it) to catch the waiter's attention, and another 2 mins before he cameback with our forks and knives. That's when he noticed that the second dinner was not delivered yet... the other dinner showed up like 10 mins after mine... maybe it was good i didnt have silverware cuz i was starving... everything was slow but food was almost great.. we got charged full size for a caesar salad and the waiter thought it was substituted for the side dishes, so my husband did not get the side dishes that he paid for and had to pay full price instead of the substitution price (that would be only 1,99$) for the salad. Anyway.... any one of these things would be understandable because it's friday night during dinner rush...unfortunately... late food... missing silverware..wrong pricing...all added up to a 2 star service. the waiter tried to eat my mozzarella sticks after serving them to me!!! he then tried to charge my kids $10 extra for the chicken kesadiyas! the food is good though, the grille chicken wonton tacos was smackin!! and mhy kids enjoyed the four cheese mac & cheese with honery pepper chicken tenders. We have been to this Applebee's in the past, but this visit was the worst I have ever had at a restaurant. There were 7 of us so we called ahead to reserve the large corner table, but we were told no one was sitting there now and that they could not guarantee its availability when we arrived, they would not take our name. When we arrived we were hit in the face with a large sign that read "Call ahead and reserve a table" ... strike one We were seated, and waited for a service person to come over and take our order, we waited 15 minutes and finally called one of the waitresses over and asked if she could take our order, she said sure if you want me too ... strike two. After seeing the electronic device on the table we realized that the must be changing the way they do business and we were to have placed our own order thru this device ... it would have been nice if someone had informed us of this change and gave us a brief walk through of what to do. Our food was delivered, but we still had no napkins, or tableware and when our waitress came over to ask if we were ok, we had to ask again for silverware and napkins. Strike three. Applebees is not the same applebees. New, fresh, alternative healthy meals, that are flavorful. Try the cedar grilled lemon chicken or the Fiesta lime chicken! Matt the bartender is classic and funny; a seasoned service veteran that handles all clientele with a professional attitude! I eat here weekly because of the fast and flexible service. Attitude is everything, so I recommend sitting at the bar or coming for Trivia one night! read more

This is a mixed review. First off let me say that during Covid 19 we have preferred food from Applebee's Carside pickup. Very convenient. The food is always very good and always warm. Wish I could give this place a negative star! I ordered the Crispy Cheese Bites crunchy original Cheetos crumbles. I also callled before I placed my order. When I receive my order I realize that the Cheetos cheese bite was soaked in buffalo sauce! I called to ask if they had made a mistake on my order and the gentlemen that answered the phone assure me that they had no buffalo sauce on them! I told him I smell the buffalo sauce; he said that i wasn't smelling it right because it had no Buffalo sauce. One of the lady workers walked up to me and tried to grab the order out of my hand and stated she would show the manager so I asked her if she could have a manager come out! When the manager came out she didn't Greet me nor did she apologize! (Green hair manager). She just rudely told me it's made with Buffalo sauce. When I asked her why the workers didn't know she brushed me off. I spend over $40 and I couldn't even get the manager to listen to me! I asked if she could refund me she stated that they had already closed out my order all she could be is give me a $5 credit! They are just rude there! We have been going to this location for several years and the service, both in restaurant and for takeout, has dropped significantly. My family just ordered takeout, two of the three said that the entree could come with fries. Neither one came with fries. The boneless wings that my mom has gotten looks like total crap compared to what they should look like (even to Applebee's standards). It has been over a year since the last visit here because of the nasty steak we experienced but after watching a movie we thought we'd give it another try for lunch. Geez, where do you start. The so-called hostess was anything but pleasant. Our waiter no sooner gave us our menu and was asking us if we were ready to order!! I don't think we even opened the menus yet. My glass of lemonade was cracked all the way around it and the table across from us sat with dishes on it, never cleared or cleaned after the people left for at least 45 minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at this local restaurant. My favorite kind of fries are floppy fries and the floppy fry to crispy fry ratio was spot on. Our waiter also provided us a sampler platter of sauces for our chicken tenders which was unexpected but the kind of customer service that is a joy to receive once in a blue moon. Finally I sometimes get mistaken for a teenager in middle school but this server made me feel at ease when he didn't ask to see my ID when I ordered the Dracula's Juice (halloween drink special which was a 10/10). We knew it would be busy on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised when we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The waiter came to the table shortly after and took our orders. Again pleasantly surprised by the quick attentiveness. But that was where it ended. It took 20-30 minutes just to get our drinks, never got straws or the crayons we asked for!!! We should have just left than. But we were here an hour when we finally saw our waiter again and asked about our food. I get they are short staffed, but communication is KEY! people who were seated after us had already gotten their food and left before our food arrived. He said they were backed up but within 10 minutes of complaining our appetizers finally arrived and within a few minutes of finishing our appetizers our meal arrived. I think the waiter forgot to put our order in. The food was warm, didn't taste very good. My steak was over cooked, but everyone else's food was cooked to a good temperature. The waiter never checked in on us throughout our visit. We never got our broccoli for our bourbon steaks, its ridiculous that we mentioned it and the waiter said he'd take it off the bill and never did. I dined at this establishment last night arriving at approx. 8:15. As a restaurant professional (and I rarely play that card), and very knowledgeable about the Applebee's expectation, it is very obvious how this location has the rating and reviews it does. The reason for the two stars is that the food meet almost all of the expectations of an Applebee's. Mom and Wife had the 2-20 w/ salads. I had the Brunch burger cooked perfectly with the egg exactly how it should be. We also had spinach artichoke dip, boneless wings and cocktails. So for three people $78, which nowadays is a fair and moderate price. The only one critic on the food at all is that my fries were on the edge of the four minute Applebee's expectation. The second star is for the teamwork delivery of food and beverages and checkbacks by our server. Now, unfortunately, the drawbacks. Server was knowledgeable of the menu and although I am sure not recommended he retained the orders w/o having to write them down. However along with this comes attention to detail which your guest will notice every time. The first round of drinks were made promptly by the bar and did sit for a little while. Salads should come out before the entree and pretty sure the ladies would not have gotten them had we not asked. Small detail, I asked for a little extra celery, which I actually like w/ my boneless wings. I received one piece and just wanted a couple extra. Server said I will grab them for you! No celery and no explanation, maybe out of it? The background music!! Now I may not have choose rap/ pop and my Mom certainly wouldn't but it is not my place to decide the genre. When halfway through the meal a staff member increased it to nightclub volume. Not sure if the speaker was right above us in the outside dining perimeter but we could not hear ourselves. I stepped away from the table and pulled the bartender and a server aside and expressed that we felt the music had just been increased immensely and that we could no longer hear. Bartender apologized and turned it down. A couple minutes later, a team member from the kitchen appears and jacks it back up even louder. I let a waitress nearby know about it again. Asked if the sound had zones that just turning down ours since we were in this section alone at this point. It was turned down again but we were leaving at this point. Cleanliness of the restaurant looked like it had just seen the Saturday peak business and still had not been put back together. Host was staying right on top of busing tables but the floor and carpets were spattered w/ debris. The men's room needed attention with over flowing towels from trash and some on floor but not filthy. There was a brief appearance by management who walked out one door and spoke to a team member and then disappeared without doing any laps through. No table touches at all. This is a location that has the staff, not management, running it and the lack of structure is obviously taking its toll. read more

My Wife, kids and I have been coming to this location for years. Things used to be good, but yesterday was a different experience that won't have s coming back. Our order was simple. Appetizers and salads. The spinach dip we got looked like it was reheated several times as the top was crusty and dry and had to be cut off cause it was dry. The salad was a simple house salad, but the lettuce was old and brown. The service wasn't there either. This Applebee's is ran by high school kids, have been here once inside to dine & been through the take out & both times have sucked!!! My order at the carry out was messed up beyond repair they forgot to give me my chips for my chips & cheese dip, they didn't give me my chicken basket either (the entire entree) & when i got home & saw their mistake I was livid & called the manager immediately. It's a good thing that I'm a small eater so I was able to share my daughters meal. The manager wanted me to drive all the way back but I was just so mad by then. He said he would send a coupon in mail for my free meal next time & 4 weeks later I still am waiting for that coupon. Will never go here again EVER & that manager is a bold face liar. read more

My husband and I went there before a movie. We arrived in plenty of time, and it wasn't completely packed like it usually is on a Saturday night, so we figured we would have plenty of time before the movie. We asked for a table, and the person seating us took us to a booth, so when I saw a vacant table right next to the booth I asked if we could have it, which totally threw her for a loop. So, once she processed this information, she seated us at the table with menus. We looked at the menu, and the server came by shortly after. We ordered 2 margaritas and an appetizer sampler trio. Server said okay, he would put in the order and be right back with the drinks. We saw him waiting on a table of four people, talking, and enjoying himself, which is no biggie, but then 10 minutes passed, two new couples were seated around us, another 5 minutes passed, the others that came in received their drinks from their servers, but our server was nowhere to be found. Finally after almost 25 minutes, we found him and asked where our drinks were, to which he replied, "We have someone tending bar that doesn't normally do it and he's slow, let me check". Kinda thinking at this point, well, the other people got theirs...so then he brought the drinks, and took our order for the entree. We both ordered the Black and Bleu Burgers. He came with the appetizer, and we enjoyed that while we waited for our main course, and ordered 2 sodas. Our food was delivered another 25 minutes later by another server, who was also nice enough to get us some sodas and mustard. All the while, my husband and I were wondering if our server left for the night. All of a sudden, here comes our server asking if everything was okay, and apologizing for not bringing the sodas. He told us before he left to get those sodas that he, himself would get them so there wouldn't be a wait! We just looked at him and said everything's fine, so he would go away, because at this point, he was just getting annoying with his excuses for the delays. He overstayed his visit to our table. Finally he went away, and we finished our meal. Granted, the food was very good, Applebee's doesn't disappoint me, so that was a plus, but the service was just terrible. When it came time to pay up, he graciously took off the cost of the sodas for making us wait, but after the whole ordeal, it didn't seem like enough. We were there for over an hour and 15 minutes. I don't believe in not tipping, but this guy shouldn't have had a dime. I gave him $5.00 for a $41.00 bill and regretted not looking for the busboy that did most of the work for us, to tip him instead. read more

I came in for 3.00 off a dinner that was given to me on veterans day.It was a thank u for being a veteran and the mgr. at the time said thank u and please come back. The day I went back I had a friend join me and he ate and I besides my meal had a cocktail.a coffee and a desert besides my lousy 3.00 discount. I questioned Matt the bartender about the bill and his response was, u got your free meal on veterans day,what do I want another free meal?
