Chris didn't come this time, it was just the kids and I.... It was worse, if you could even imagine. We sat for almost 15mins before someone came to our table. We decided since it took so long for anyone to acknowledge us, to go ahead and place our order for beverages, appetizer, and meal all at once. Another 25mins go by, a completely different staff member brings out my son's food (chicken sandwich) along with a random entree. I denied the random food and reminded them we still hadn't received our appetizer. About 3mins later, my meal (oriental chicken salad, that included primarily frozen lettuce and an over abundance of almond slices) arrived with the appetizer. It took another 5mins for my daughter's Mac n cheese (and yogurt) to arrive. During our visit, we overheard another couple return their food due to being undercooked. Another couple walked out after receiving raw chicken (only to have the police called on them for not paying). Whoever decided to combine IHOP in this Applebees as a last ditch effort to save it- it's not working! read more

Online order for pickup. Went and got order got home, half the order was missing. Bag was tied and stickered shut so didn't think to check at the restaurant. My mistake. Called, was placed on hold for 10 minutes and they offered to remake the order for me another day! Told them I wanted a refund for the missing items, will be watching my card to make sure it shows up. Don't know what they are doing there, but it certainly isn't running things well. My first visit was a five star experience, you can review those details listed on my profile. That's why I decided to go back with my mom expecting the same thing. I even bragged to her about it because she vowed never to visit an IHOP after challenges she's had in the past. Unfortunately, my second visit was disappointing. To speed through my review you can find the good in 1, 4, & 5. The areas requiring improvement can be found in 2, 3, & 6. 1. Atmosphere The restaurant itself remains very clean and inviting. Applebee's and IHOP menu items are served so you get a vibe from both in the decor. TV's playing sports, bar, and pancakes! 2. The Food Unfortunately, there was no food to review. After placing our order, we waited a LONG TIME while multiple tables that were seated after us received their meals, finished eating, and paid their tabs. At one point, a large party of nine seated next to us in the "Applebees side had already completed their meal. After more than 20 minutes and no food, we had to leave as we had other things planned. 3. The Coffee The coffee itself is fine. It gets the job done, especially with the flavored creamers. However, we were unable to enjoy it right away because our waiter forgot to bring the creamers we requested. We waited about 20 minutes before asking the hostess to help, and she brought them for us right away. Only for the waiter to come back to take our food order and take credit for the creamers being delivered to us as if we didn't request them from the hostess. 4. Service Service was the issue during this visit. Our waiter was extremely slow, took several minutes just to bring drink orders, forgot our coffee creamers, and was absent from our table pretty much the entire visit. I had a little concern early on when a table that was there before us stopped him while he was taking our drink order to say they've been waiting and were ready to pay, but I brushed it off. I mean not the restaurant I just praised! 5. Hostess The hostess was great and friendly, responsive. She was more attentive than our waiter. She checked on us when she noticed we were still waiting with no plates, she helped with the creamers, and even looked into the status of our food when we asked. 6. As for our waiter, I'm hopeful he may have been in training, and I understand that new staff can be slower. All of this may be true BUT management should be monitoring tables to ensure service runs smoothly. If a manager checked on us at any point, this review may have been another five star and we wouldn't have left without ever receiving our meal. To answer the big question...will I be back? Yes! Everyone has off days, and since the place is new, it probably means new staff still getting the hang of things. I'll give them a little time to work out the kinks which is sad since it's reasonably priced and so close to home. I'd still say give them a try at least once. My first visit was great. No issues placing an order online for pick up, and the experience of collecting the food wasn't bad though I had an odd interaction with one of the bussers while waiting for my order: Busser: How are you today? We arrived on a Friday a bit after 5 PM... there were only a handful of tables seated, so we thought that service would be quick. We ordered Onion Rings as the app and Cajun Salmon and the rack of ribs for entrees. The order was taken after the Iced Tea was served... which was fine. The Onion Rings seemed to be taking forever so I asked if they were coming with the meal or before the meal. Was told by server, before the meal... and she went to check on them. YOU DO NOT SERVE ONE PERSON WHILE THE OTHER DINER WAITS A HALF HOUR MORE FOR THEIR MEAL. I said that was not acceptable and she went off and came back saying I could order something else... and that the ribs would still take a while. I cancelled the Ribs.. and asked what was QUICK. (I have dietary issues and cannot eat certain foods) Eventually I decided on pasta with a cream sauce. When the server came by again... I told her to cancel everything... I needed to go elsewhere... she went into the kitchen and came back with the pasta.... plated, saying the manager said to bring it out and that it would be HALF PRICE... (WHAT PART OF CANCEL ARE WE NOT UNDERSTANDING???) I told her I did not want it.... we needed the check. She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager and I said YES!.More confusion but eventually she comes out with the check and the pasta "Boxed To-Go"... now it was free. I had noticed the same server telling other tables that there was a delay or problem with what they had ordered. The table next to us was told they had run out of one of the items they had ordered... like 20 minutes earlier. So, I had no meal except to eat the mashed potatoes off my husbands plate to give me some carbs (I am diabetic and had taken my insulin 45 minutes earlier... assuming some carbs were coming my way. This was hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had. The service was incredibly slow and careless our server barely checked on us, and it felt like we were an inconvenience just for being there. When the food finally arrived, it was poorly prepared, lukewarm, and tasted off. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. Both my wife and I ended up getting food poisoning after eating here, which completely turned our lives upside down for days. No one should leave a restaurant sick, let alone dealing with the fallout of something that could have been avoided with basic food safety. What's even more frustrating is that situations like this can seriously impact people's lives. We're struggling as a result of this experience, and it feels like this restaurant has zero accountability for the harm it caused. Something needs to change better training, better hygiene, better management because this level of negligence is unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering eating here to think twice. We were in line for about 10 minutes and no one came to seat us so we went to the bar. There were numerous tables available. We decided to sit at the bar. The time was 5:45. The bartender looked overworked. She was waiting tables and the bar. The 14.99 deal was going on. One of us ordered that, another ordered a burger, and I ordered the Bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Took over 30 minutes to get the food. FOOD was delicious.... that we even tipped the cook. Kevin wouldn't let them thank us (understand busy) but Kevin did say anything. Even when spoken to. He's the worst manager I witnessed in any restaurant. Bartender said that she was drinking to get through the night. I noticed this sign hanging. She said that she didn't think that was a deal.... that it has been up there for months, and that no one could reach it to erase it. The manager Kevin came out. One of the many times that he was rude. I asked if I could have the lemon drop shoe for the price. He went back to the back and called her on the phone to tell us it was no way to discount it. When I called to him, by his name, he said, "yea, and kept on walking and never addressed up about the issues, and didn't give us the time of day. The bartender looked up every recipe to make it. When she made the lemon drop... she put coarse salt around the shot glass and tried to explain that they did theirs with salt when everyone knows it's sugar. We went out for some late night snacking we got motzeralla sticks, those were on point. My niece & went in for their Christmas drink specials & for happy hour. We noticed all tables were marked for social distancing, all employees wore masks & cleaned each section before seating new customers which were wonderful. When I asked about happy hour; the waiter responded that they no longer offer it & we were shocked. My assumption would be maybe due to low business & COVID but they should have kept a few happy hour specials for during the week. We ordered 2 of the Christmas drinks on the rocks suggested from our waiter which was just okay & shared the classic combo platter which consists of: boneless chicken, mozzarella sticks, spinach artichoke dip, chicken quesadillas & dipping sauces for each section. Our waiter tonight was friendly, prompt & we noticed he was covering a lot of tables. I was a little cautious with eating inside; due to limit of people limitations, spacing, cleaning & see all wearing masks made our experience very pleasant. I ordered dinner last night through Uber Eats. This is my second experience with delivery in 4 months, and WOW did they improve! They really got their shit together with the packaging. The salmon and beans were separated from the potatoes, everything was hot and fresh, and the soup was well sealed. The container was quality, and right sized for the meal, and portions were perfect. Well, we ordered the riblets and the picture from the menu looked very, very appetizing. We order a small and a large order, the 10,99 with fries and the 12,99 with fries and coleslaw. Well, when I came home it was kinda a puzzle because both orders were the same size! My husband tried one of the pieces and all he got was BONE! There was so much BONE in the meat, even small pieces that you can choke on! The meat was dry and seemed overcooked. So we enfed up throwing it out, hardly touched. The fries were very soggy and soft, like a limp noodle. So we won't be coming back, because if this is standard food, no thanks! Called the manger and asked for my money back. I hate to start the new year with a negative review, but this was a terrible curb side pickup order experience. To start with we ordered online at 4:50 (ish) pm for a pickup at 5:50pm, knowing that it is a Saturday night and the playoffs are on we decided to avoid the dinner rush. With a hour lead time you could imagine that the order would be ready to go, but sadly NO! It took the staff about 10+ minutes to find our order. Having worked various positions in the service industry timed orders are more than welcomed. Due to the fact that we could prioritize the order even if we were slammed with orders during the dinner rush. I was hoping to have a positive experience as we do not visit many national chain restaurants, but expected better quality control as I had in my experience working for several different chain restaurants. Once we received the order as it was MIA for 10+ minutes, and a 5 minute car ride home, I kinda figured the food would be on the warm/hot side. However it was on the little above room temperature side, even the baked potato, not a good sign. On a positive note the bourbon street steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and well seasoned, maybe a little more than most people would enjoy. Also the side Caesar salad was more of a dinner sized portion, a good amount of cheese but a few more croutons rather than the three received would have been nice. That is where the positives stop, sadly! Attached pictures will provide more insight. -Chicken tenders are not even close to the advertised picture, close to the same frozen product that I have in the freezer (see picture). -Fries are a must with chicken tenders, just not these fries. Very blonde, cold and not seasoned (see picture). -Steak was room temperature, but medium rare as requested. Although there should be attention to trimming additional fat or even selecting a decent steak as my order chewy in some spots. -I did not include a picture of the soup that accompanied the chicken tenders, as the soup was somewhere but without our order -The checked by sticker was not filled out, even though the receipt states 5:55pm, and the food was found until a little after 6pm. So that would mean the food was only 5+ minutes old before pickup, which was 10+ minutes late with a timed order. Overall this was a terrible experience, and I understand that Saturday's can get busy, but with a timed order it is like getting the answers to a test, you know what to expect. Unfortunately this is not the first time that we were disappointed in the handful of times that we have been there, just the first time for me posting on Yelp! I'm extremely disappointed in the 'Four Cheese Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders' dish I received as a to-go order from Applebee's. My friend went to go and pick me up a to go order, because I am quarantined at the moment. There was no bacon or parsley in the dish and little to no sauce on the tenders. My best friend, my mother, and myself had the same order. 10/10 would not recommend this dish from this location unless you are dining in and able to tell them your dish is not up to satisfaction. read more

This is not the place to be if your intent is to see a sporting event during dinner. Yes, there are flat screen televisions, but they are small, too far away and not clearly visible, even at the bar. That said, when we visit this Applebee's on a purely random, non-regular schedule, we usually order from the 2-for-20 menu. The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer is okay. Not spectacular, not bad, but okay. I find it interesting that the reviews of this location are either very low or very high. After visiting here a few times, I have observed that service here is hit-or-miss, in line with the reviews, apparently depending on wind direction, alignment of the planets and phase of the moon. The place is often very crowded and understaffed. (A very common issue in these days of very low unemployment with good workers very hard to find.) One can only speculate why a place with so many one-star reviews is usually very crowded. The overworked wait staff, most of whom really hustle, do the best they can with the situations they are in. We had a personable and excellent server last night. Juan really had to hustle to cover a huge section. We observed him go above and beyond to make one family happy, they were unreasonably demanding bunch, straight out the "The Simpsons". A tip of the hat to Juan! Also note, that during the winter, the inner vestibule doors do not close quickly enough to prevent an occasional blast of cold air that sweeps through the restaurant. Brrr!
