Did curb to go order. Food was supposed to be ready at 7:05. Waiting in car 5 minutes. 10 minutes. No one comes. I go inside. Give them my name. Worker goes to the kitchen. Comes back and says they are bagging it. A man comes in gets his food. Food goes out to two cars. Then two more cars get their food. Another worker comes , says there was a problem with one of the pasta dishes. They had to remake it. I had to wait 30 minutes for my food. I was 5 minutes away from were I was staying. Door staff are very friendly. Didn't see a server for 10 minutes. Drinks took 20 minutes to come and food took 40. The burger was overdone and fries were cold. What a lunch hour rush, The waiting time was getting longer and longer for every couple entering the door, and we had to wait for 20ish minutes to be seated due to a lack of staff as plenty of empty tables were visible to us. Anyway, we got seated and placed our order with the lovely Brook as our waitress, super speedy service from the time placing the order to seeing it on our table (not sure because they wanted us to eat and leave so they could serve others or if this is their standards). The food was amazing, especially the buffalo wings and the chicken lime fiesta. Their double cheeseburger was average and the chicken alfredo was what you expect from it but the service was great and even when something was wrong with one of the orders, Brook immediately replaced it with another one free of charge. I guess you can say it was a pleasant experience as a wholesome but certainly there is room for improvement. Nevertheless, with staff like Brook, you can always find a place to enjoy a good meal and unwind a pit. And yes, you must try their triple chocolate meltdown, captivating. :) read more

We love this Applebee's. We were just there this past Labor Day weekend. There was a line out the door. Put our name in and waited in the bar area. We saw Elisabeth at the bar and waved and smiled. She helped ups before. She remembered us & came over and said hello. She remembered our names and also that what I had on my salad. So awesome. Especially when everyone and everything is going by so fast! She wishes us well and then we were seated. Kristine took care of us! She as well was fantastic! Truly. They were short-staffed and slammed. What was great is that Kristine & Elisabeth both acknowledged that and still took GREAT care of us. Food came out....so good. It's been a year since my first review and I've been to Applebees about a dozen times since, with some disappointing experiences the more I ventured off and tried new things from the menu. Do NOT get the riblets - they are dry, difficult to eat. Nothing like regular ribs. These are full of tiny bones you have to pick through. They had an all-you-can-eat promo for these, but you have to wait a while to get a second serving and it's just not satisfying, fall off the bone type ribs. Do NOT get the fish and chips - Overcooked, my fish tasted freezer burnt The 4 cheese macaroni dish I liked so much seems to be increasingly sweet every time I go. Their cheese sauce tastes more like the honey glazed chicken sauce. The pasta is often mushy and not cheesy enough, it's all too sweet when I'm expecting a savory dish. Boneless chicken wings are hit or miss. Either they are drenched in sauce making them soggy, or too dry. I only recommend Applebees for half price apps during happy hour, 2 to 5pm and after 9pm. The bartender (older woman) measured all of our liquor because its the NY state law, which she mentioned, however, we observed, when her friend arrived, she didn't measure any of his drinks. I came in after my prom with a group of my friends and it wasn't busy at all and yet my food and my friends food looked like it has been sitting for 15 minutes or longer. I got the boneless wings and it was really dry and very hard to eat my friend also got them and he barely ate anything at all. My friend got the chicken broccoli Alfredo and the noodles were hard and there was close to no sauce at all and everything was cold it looked as if it was sitting and my boyfriends steak looked old the chicken we got was burnt. This was my first time ever and I loves it but the menu is so big that I will have to go back a few times to try more of the menu items. They have great specials like now I have 2 for 20$ so you can have either 2 salads or an appetizer to share (4 or 5 to choose from) 2 entrees (4 or 5 to choose from) you also have the same deal but for 25$ with different entrée options. The service was fast but not super friendly and the waitress looked rush when she answered my question even though the place was pretty empty. One of very few restaurants with in-house seating spaced out due to the pandemic. They ask you to scan a QR code on the table to access their menu-smart phone needed for that. I have to believe they have a traditional menu if you need that.Staff wears masks and customers are asked to wear until seated or when they leave their table for rest room or trip to the bar. My family and I arrived and greeted by a very nice waitress Tami who brought us to a table in her section We sat and watched as more parties entered the building, all of which were greeted by Tami because for some strange reason the hostess was no where to be found. We watched another person come in and visit her, with a passing of something and some money between the two. My husband also noticed it and we thought okay what the hell is wrong with her. Something was said out loud by another table in the same section we were in about her and how clearly she had to be on drugs. They also made the comment they had been watching her and couldn't believe it. When multiple patrons realize whats going on and this girl is watched under management, how is this acceptable? I understand everyone is short staffed right now and needs help, but if this is what greets people at the door, I'll choose to never come back through the doors. read more

I give this place 4 stars because of the excellent service. The food of course was very good but what stood out to me the most was the team effort to take care of everyone. The waiter was super. Not sure what his name was but had a full sleeve tattoo. Maybe that will help identify him. Lol He was working super hard. My wife and and I and her twin brother and sister went in to the Plattsburgh location, I am a active marine and got 1.30 off our bill which was around 80 dollars. And we went back later in the night, and went to the bar to sit and then were told we couldn't sit there due to Donovan's orders, we were sat food was great we thought. But we were absolutely disgusted with the service we have received. Absolutely upsetting and unacceptable way to greet guests, my wife's twin brother was absolutely upset at the service we received. It was an incredibly bad experience and will not be returning or spending my money with this establishment due to Donovan and how he treated us. I had gone there tonight to enjoy a meal with my family after spending a day school shopping. The food was not the best we had to ask for our appetizers and drinks; we ended up with two waitresses due to a shift change and they were both okay until it was time to pay our bill. When trying to pay with their electric pad it declined my card knowing I had enough on my card to pay I had no problem handing it over to our second waitress so she could use it at their register- before walking away she had stated their system has been giving them an issue lately. After walking to the register she had yelled over to our table "are you putting him on your bill also?" Speaking about my 8 year old son who is bi racial and a few shades darker than me his latina mother, but to our waitress I guess because of that he couldn't be my son until I replied with " yes he's mine". Again my card declined twice and both times the same waitress felt the need to yell that it had declined in front of everyone instead of walking over nicely to me and addressing the problem. After leaving I went to a atm; there was no issue with my card it was indeed their system having a malfunction. She must of realized she made a scene that was very much unnecessary because she did not return to our table after dropping off the receipts. I will not be going back nor would I suggest anyone else to spend their money here. I saw her mingling with some friends at another table across the restaurant while we waited her to come take our order after we had already been there for at least half an hour. However, with a plethora of choices in a quarter of a mile around here, I feel like I need to pump this place up so people know this is where to go if you're in the area. I travel solo so I sat at the bar... the bartenders on Sunday night 5/8 were exceptional. They made killer drinks, very friendly, personable and made this awkward "I'm sitting by myself" thing much less awkward. I was bummed that I was traveling on Mother's Day and the bartender must have seen that sadness on my face... she wished me a Happy Mother's Day, asked about my kids, etc. Food was Applebee's... it was enjoyable.
