She made spot-on suggestions for our meal- the Beef Nachos were the best we have ever had at a restaurant. No kidding, the queso sauce was SO good! Not too far off the freeway and in the mall parking lot, I expected a wait. On a Wednesday night I never expected a 45 minute wait. That told me this must be a good location so I put in my name and number. My boy and I walked over to the Target to kill some time until we received a text. Within 40 minutes, the phone rang and we were seated upon arrival. Since the COVID restrictions started, I have noticed table service has been MUCH better in most places due to less occupancy. My boy is 5 and loves the menu selection at Applebee's and there is always a good variety on the main menu. Our server was very attentive and understood we were there to relax and enjoy our meal with no rush. She was not pushy or rushing at all. Our beverages were served quickly and appetizer soon after. The longer Happy Hour is wonderful and is a great marketing tool to draw more customers. We enjoyed the chicken wings with buffalo sauce. They were cooked just right and had a perfect coating of sauce, not drenched and no bare spots. My boy's corn dog was cooked just as he likes it and he chose mozzarella sticks as his side. They were warm and he destroyed them with a smile on his face. I had the double crunch shrimp and fries. My shrimp was not gummy and the breading was a perfect crunch and golden brown. Fries were warm and had just the right amount of seasoning. My beer was poured just right and my boy's soda was refilled before he had to ask for it. The manager stopped by twice to check on us and I told him this was a great experience. I am VERY fond of the table devices to order beverages, appetizers, and pay the bill. Our server was the best! We were looking for a quick lunch, so we asked for advice (avoid burgers and steaks; choose appetizers, sandwiches, soups). He also got us the bill quickly. The food was the regular Applebee's fare. The Chicken Tortilla soup was good! The spices used reminded me of chili, though it wasn't that spicy. It seems like they're having a "southwest" theme now, so this must have been part of it. The Spinach and Berry Salad had a sweet dressing, but it was surprisingly good. The saltiness of the blue cheese countered it well. I guess I ended up choosing non-greasy things today. That's probably why I liked them. read more

Went to Applebee's last night in Puyallup Wa, very disappointed, been going there for 30 yrs and the last 3 times have been a bad experience. Once again they messed up my order. Last night they give me a cheeseburger with nothing on it but meat and cheese, no lettuce, onions pickles and when I finally get a hold of the waitress (around 10 minutes later). She brings me a plate with the toppings and the tomato was the thick end pice and again I get a "sorry" Anyway my husbands fish and chips got cold because he wanted to wait for me so we could eat together. We enjoy dining here at least twice a month. Food is good, and price is usually good as well. I did notice that we dined in tonight and our bill was 10$ less than what it was last time, but we ordered the same exact thing. I am not sure what we were overcharged for, but I guess it's our fault for not checking the bill. We will still be back, so that won't change, but we will definitely be checking the bill from now on! Order the for cheese Mac with honey pepper chicken tenders (picture shows a nice breading on there chicken) and came out with three pinky size, barley any breading them, measly check pieces (more meat on a wing then on these stripes). My boyfriend and I went in for the new drink of the month dollar margaritas to celebrate a new job. We ordered two drinks and decided to order food to go because we wanted to make sure the server knew we weren't just going to tip on our dollar drinks. We got to our third dollar drink and was brought out the check with our to go food. We said oh I'm sorry we wanted one more before we headed out, and was told there was a three drink limit for all Applebee's and we weren't allowed to. We asked if we could get any other drink at all? Because the dollar drinks are small and not strong at all. The server had good service and was kind but said that a three drink policy was always constant at Applebee's but the manager currently on was strict about the rule. Just a bummer and was not informed of this rule. I have definitely had more than three of the dollar strawberry margaritas over a span of time and never told I couldn't get anymore. My experience here was good sans food. It was strange though that the two of us were seated at the enormous round booth even though I saw at least two regular booths available, after the hostess offered for us to sit at the bar and in return I asked for a booth. The service was good, it was prompt and friendly. When the food arrived, it was okay. My Burger had a nickel sized smear of sauce on the bun, and only like three tiny crumbles of bleu cheese. The burger was nothing extraordinary. Bland. The fries were the most boring fries I've ever had. I'd eat Wendys fries over those any day. My boyfriend's burger.. well, he had the jalapeno burger which he said the jalapeno sauce seemed like the exact same thing as the sauce on the jalapeno chicken sandwich at McD's. He said he could have had a better sandwich at McD's when I asked him why he seemed so upset.. and I have never seen him upset over the taste of food before. Eh. We used to love this place a couple years ago and was our weekly out-to-dinner outing. Unfortunately, I can say that this place's service and value has really been on a downward spiral. On my most recent visit, I got the "Two for $20" deal with a friend. We started with getting boneless chicken wings...WHAT A LETDOWN! We got like ten wings, and they were so small it looked like a toddler should be eating them, not grown adults! Ugh! Ok, so after a disappointing appetizer, I still had my rack of ribs coming. Liked that you could switch your second plate to opposite choice and not be stuck with only chicken or only ribs . First plate came with coleslaw and nice amount of fries , noticed second round no slaw and less fries and meat choice. Which was fine, I understand they don't want added waste at that point. Both the chicken and ribs were delicious , must say our table of 3 were happily surprised with flavor, tenderness and quality of our meals. Service on top of it bringing all our requests,( various fry/tender dipping sauces, lemon for water, drink refills, and asking if more food was wanted). No complaints. Had looked online off/on in recent past seeing the ongoing 2 for 20.00/25.00 meals but honestly didn't care for most if the choices looking like mostly pasta dishes. We are seafood lovers, wish you had seafood baskets. I know you have fried shrimp which is OK. Its Applebees. I can't give more then three stars to a mass corporation like this. Food is always decent. They have a good selection of beer on tap. And the only reason why I went here is because we had a power outage and I need a warm meal, and light. Waitress was very friendly. This was my first time at an Applebees and unfortunately the experience left a nasty first impression on me. Oh and when we made the visit the location was not busy at all. So there should have been no excuses. First I would like to add what I ordered, it was just a simple chicken tender basket with a Oreo milk shake. To start off the chicken and the fries were cold, and after 10 mins our waitress returned to ask us how it tasted. Both meals that were ordered were cold, so they had to remake both meals. After an additional 10 mins past I had finished my Oreo shake of which I had hoped to enjoy with my meal. In addition the second basket with the chicken was burnt, and having overly cooked chicken stripes is just nasty. I am thinking to myself how do you fubar a chicken tender basket with fries? Other places like Dairy Queen and the Ram serve chicken tender and fries and it is delicious and hot. The only reason why I did not rate this place a 1-star was because of the waitress Wendi, she is why I would probably come back to an Applebees due to her extremely pleasant attitude and speedy response time. Pretty much your typical Applebee's with the offerings you would find at other Applebee's, the service at this one is pretty good, they got my burger to me promptly and that is always a plus, and the server was prompt and courteous, I went with Pepsi this time, and had the burger with the Pineapple mixed in it and instead of the normal sauce I went with the sauce thats on their All-American burger. Managers, you really have to explain to all of your employees that no matter what they are doing, if they are on a computer in the vicinity of customers, they need to acknowledge that customer. I walk in to pick up my to go plate, and there is a employee staring at a computer screen. Not once did he acknowledge me as a customer. As a customer, I want to be acknowledged. If you can't assistant me, that's cool, but at least tell me that someone will be right with me. Don't just have me standing there looking at the top of your head. That's a big NO NO in customer service. I don't blame him, I blame the manager. Went here yesterday around 4pm... I should preface this review with, we were not expecting 4 star food rather, decent food and service. We ordered, wings, mozz sticks, tacos and grown up drinks. Although they were slow enough to see servers standing around talking to each other, the food took 45 minutes to come out and was luke warm. They also brought and charged us for nachos that we did not order. Those were soggy. I never received the second double vodka i requested but was charged for a ×3. We were not given plates for the appitizers...or the refills on water we requested. After a day of yardwork and somewhere to be at 6..we were starving and on time restraints...otherwise we would have left..ate half the food paid and left...will not be back! read more
