The server Leeann was awesome! Very pleasant and accommodating. That was the good news! Now for the bad news. The Rambalya was horrible, first off the chicken and shrimp were both hammered (overcooked). The spice level was so hot that I could not eat it and what I did eat I had to take one bite of food and a drink. Also this was chicken, shrimp, sausage, some liquid and rice. This was not and any respectable Cajole cook would spit this out because it was not what this was supposed to be imitating. Chicken and Mushroom (new dish). It was bland, no flavor and just like the dish above the chicken was hammered. We have had some good meals here, but these new dishes need lots of work. My son has stopped at the Ram numerous times in the last few months. He takes friends there and stops often after work. He works 50 to 60 hours a week because it is very close to where he lives. Tonight he was asked to leave because he has been seen there too frequently. My son is a very respectful and polite person and called me regarding this very upset and disturbed about this. Two people approached him at his table. A heavy set woman and a man and asked him to leave. What a horrible way to do business. Definitely not recommending this restaurant to anyone. read more

Poor service by waitress Christina and bartender. ordered a flight and neither the waitress Christina or the bartender could tell which beer was which, never had a brewery not give a printout for each beer. When asked bartender had no idea which beer was which and Christina was rude. read more

My family and I come to the Ram in Puyallup every Friday night for my mom's night out. Most nights we're here, we have Tina as our server in the bar. I cannot tell you how warm and welcoming she is!! I have such weird mods I ask for with my food and cocktails and she always has such a positive attitude and is so helpful. The only thing is, I wish that they had the focaccia club back. We were seated immediately when the Ram opened. I had the turkey havarti melt with a caesar salad. The caesar salad had a good amount of dressing on it, although I thought it was too much. Our second visit to this Ram restaurant location! Had an excellent dine-in experience! The server was fantastic! Her attention to detail, friendliness and positivity were great! We ordered a Bone-In Chicken Wings, Naked, with Hot Honey sauce on the side as an appetizer. Then for our entrees, we got the Mac and Cheese with Steamed Broccoli and Sliced Jalapeños. Also got an order of the Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli, the Italian 1971 Pizza without Mushrooms and Olives. Instead, we subsitituted with Pineapple and Jalapeños. When we got our food items, they all came out in a timely manner and tasted great! Temperatures of the plates were spot on, warm and freshly made right out of the kitchen. For our drinks, just got a Diet Pepsi and a Raspberry Lemonade. The atmosphere was nice, not too loud, so that our conversations could be heard across the table. Liked our table service and food. The fries aren't fried in a dedicated fryer. I understand why my kid likes it and it's because he loves beer. Really, loves beer like his dad. It was early and I didn't want alcohol that early. I really enjoyed this restaurant! It's self serve and we came on a Monday afternoon. They have all day happy hour, which is nice! They have both booths and tables, but we opted for a booth. It did take a minute for a waitress to come over but it worked out since it gave us time to figure out what we wanted to eat and drink. I went with the proud Mary, which is a Bloody Mary that comes with a little taster of a beer. And then did the small plate of the cauliflower wings. The cauliflower wings were crispy and yummy! I chose the honey sriracha sauce. For the entree I ordered the black and blue wagyu and subbed a garden patty, with fries as my side. We've been to this location about 4 times now and all times that we've gone, we've had the same bad experience. The service has been slow, the drinks have too much mixer and taste watered down, the lemonade was full of syrup, and the food is always overcooked. Our server tonight took about 15 mins to greet us, told us to slow down as we were ordering, didn't drop our food off to us, and never came back to ask how our food was and if we needed anything else. I sat in the bar area on a lovely Sunday afternoon to bad service and bartenders who did not want to be there. I sat front row at the bar as I was ignored for majority of the time I was there. All I wanted was some customer service . As I also work retail I know customers just want relief from their shitty day. But man- this bar was like "nah I want everyone to feel my misery " I got the Cubano. There was only 2 pickles in the sandwich so I waited to ask for an extra side of pickles. But I was literally ignored for 20 minutes. So I didn't even get to eat my food. When I asked for a to go box I got a lovely "HOLD ON" from the disgruntled bartender that did NOT want to be there. I felt almost guilty for asking for my check. She rudely said "HOLD ON" as if I insulted her. I will not return and honestly- what a waste of $75, I didn't even eat my food and after her attitude I abandoned the entire dish . If you hate your job maybe find something else you'd like to do. Super hard working, friendly waiter. My husband says his steak was very good. The carnitas tacos I got were pretty good. Meat was good. The cilantro was totally dried out. It might have been fresh a week ago. The lime wedges were brown on the edges and zero juice came out when squeezed. The waiter brought more for me which were much better. First the hostess was not very welcoming and didn't ask if we had preference in seating and just placed us anywhere. Others were missing their re-fills @ a timely manner and my side of fries seemed like they had been sitting awhile... lukewarm. I love when restaurants have a dim/dark light atmosphere. The design has a classy retro feel which I like a lot. The server and host was always on it! They got our order and drink's really fast with little no wait, and the place was pretty busy too. Now for the food, my partner ordered a salmon drink and the fish was a little dry and the seasoning was bland. I ordered the bravocado(hope got that right) was slightly better. It wasn't dry but the flavor was just meh. Hopefully in the future we can try other menus and change my mind but overall this is just a nice place to eat when ur feeling neutral I guess. read more

The Ram is a solid go to spot when I'm in town... sort of like a cooler version of Chili's and Applebees combined with a lot of Washinton State flare and Puyallup charm. This chain isn't as big as prides on catering to all kinds of people and their eating and sipping needs. A famiky friendly gastropub brewery restaurant with a ton of food options including vegetarian, vegan, paleo, keto and gluten free options. I had the pleasure of trying the impossible tacos in early March before... A newer food item for them since the last two times I stopped in back in 2019 with friends. They were impossibly great. The signature cocktails and craft brew are all reasonable and delicious. The parking is pretty abundant and the service is beyond efficient. A lot of the menu items labeled V for vegetarian can be made vegan and even some of the unmarked eats as well as several of the apps (fresh veggies, crispy cauliflower, fried pickles, etc) with a different sauce or dip that's egg and/or dairy free. And while they have cool food/meal specials daily... there aren't any that are specifically veggie friendly at the moment... Meatless Monday deals with happy hour... is my only wish... Four dollar beers, well drinks and wine for happy hour! Trent's Timeless IPA and the Ram's signature cider are my top picks for their craft beer, but you can never go wrong with a flight so you can try a little of all.
