The food was cold so we sent it back came back cold again. The water tastes like mold while our waitress was absolutely GREAT the mangers blatantly ignored us and still tried to make us pay a $98 bill for the food we didn't eat and was cold. We had to shout to the managers yet still ignored us until we shouted multiple more times. We tipped our waitress 40 dollars for being great the management sucks though. Sitting here over an hour no food except salad that had a random noodle in it. . Floors have garbage on them. Not sure how when they clean table floor area is not policed. Manager needs to be retrained.manager did not come to table but server did and meal was comped. read more

It's Applebys... you pretty much know what you're in for when you decide to go, we happened to have a gift card, so we gave it a try. First visit in many, many years, the food is basically the same, greasy burgers and OK fries. We did the 2 for $25 and got boneless Wings, the Asian sauce was actually very good. Didn't try anything else The food was served hot and timely. The server was good, and I can see this as a family destination due to its "resort" area location. It was clean and quiet if you're looking for a fair meal at a rising but OK price, Appleby is an old standby. Looking for something unique, look elsewhere. read more

We haven't ate at Applebee's in some time. We were in the mood for some wings so we ordered it on doordash. We ordered garlic parm wing which were cold and dried out. Also ordered soggy fish with cold soggy fries. Wanting to add something healthy we ordered 2 salads which were packed under the hot food, so low and behold are salads were warm. Not only warm, the lettuce pieces were all the ribbed parts and yellow. Not appetizing at all. We very disappointed. read more

I am not a chain restaurant person, but friends wanted to eat here because of the drink specials so we agreed. We ate outside, which was very nice. Service was excellent. She was on top of everything, without writing anything down. Mai tai's were the drink of the month for $1 and were excellent. We all indulged in this special drink and enjoyed them. I had the chicken quesadillas and they were good as well. Food arrived hot and was tasty. Those that got the quesadilla burger were exceptionally happy. With my wife for lunch. Waiter seemed disconnected. Had to repeat and request items as he was not paying attention. A bit snarky when I only ordered soup. Soup came out luke warm and way before my wife's sandwhich cane out. The soup was cold by that time. Very disappointing. Ordered a few steaks and when they are doing it right, their grilling and dinners are great. Unfortunately, they are so inconsistent! After a few visits this time to Sandusky after making my steak wrong, I went back in to complain and the cook apparently in the back was denying the error. After showing them my steak, they sit my side items off to the side for 20 minutes and recooked the steak only to overcook it to the max. Overly well done and all dried out, they might as well as just let me keep the original steak with it's flaws. The second steak was ruined, the side items were cold by the time I got them back. After not going to Applebee's for 15 years because of the inconsistency BEFORE, I will never go back again. read more

We ate at this location after leaving Longhorn down the street because of absolutely horrible service. The hostess here was very nice. Our waitress was very sweet, extremely nice and very attentive. Stopped here after visiting the park. We were seated at the bar immediately and the bartender was with us in seconds. She was quick, friendly, and efficient the entire visit. Ok, after years I mean YEARS of boycotting this place due to cold food we decided to give it another shot.. we were able to get seated promptly (around noon on a Monday) and there were very few people eating there. My party of 4 decided to order the "All you can eat boneless wings". We were told to order round one and round 2. As we waited for our wings there were more people filling in. We watched several people gets there food before us. Long story short... we were there for over a hour and a half and got 4 plates of wings(5 on each plate).... We spent way too much money to leave hungry!!!! Won't be coming back anything soon! read more

1. I asked for a booth, which they had 2 open. Hostess's reply, "We need to go by rotation of each section, so I can give you a table.." I said, We really want a booth and there are some open, give us a booth please. So she grabbed a couple menus (we had a party of 4) and huffed as she led us to an open booth. 2. I went back to grab 2 more menus and the other hostess said "We usually only give out 2 menus per table." I said, But there are 4 of us and each of us want to look for different things. So I took 2 more menus. 3. After ordering our drinks, we waited about 20 minutes, and then saw they were sitting on the bar. WE HAD TO GO TO THE BAR AND BRING OUR OWN DRINKS TO THE TABLE. 4. My beer glass emptied about 10 minutes before I was asked if I wanted another beer (that can never happen) I was very happy to leave ABSOLUTELY no tip. Apparently their ideology is that we, the customers, are paying them for THEIR convenience. Who is the customer here? This place is absolute garbage and it was quite certainly the WORST restaurant/dining out experience I've ever had. If I could give it a half of a 1 star review I would. read more

As a server myself, I find there no reason to be rude to guests coming in late at night. I understand there's a pop when the park closes, but when you're greeted with smiles you don't give an attitude for no reason. Especially when not accepting anymore tables for the night. My first time at Applebee's, and it was a fine dining experience for me as everything was of excellent standard, namely the venue and food. We had their $20 for two dinner deal and ordered salads -appetisers-, riblet basket, and honey pepper chicken and shrimp, and everything was absolutely delicious, and their house salad was of exceptional standard, with grated cheese combo and ranch dressing. Tonight after going to cedar point all day my family and i we're excited to get dinner and some drinks here until we walked in at 11:40 and sat at bar waiting for service till the bartender came up saying the kitchen was closed and manager stopped taking tables 30 minutes ago which would have been 11:10 but they close at midnight. I will never return again. The staff was rude and didn't want to give service even though two other tables that same time was turned away. 3 parties turned away. Ridiculous. read more

After coming here a couple of times, I'd have to say that my opinion of Applebee's has changed. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants/ bar & grills but I do like the food here. There are some healthy choices and pretty fair prices. My first visit sold me because I tried the tuna tacos. They were good (a little too much sauce but whatevs; I know the general public likes that - gotta cater to the obesity - I get it). For my dinner I had the salmon, which was also very good. On my second trip I had an Asian shrimp salad with the dressing on the side. It was really good as well. I don't generally take pictures of the food in chain restaurants because most of the time it's already been posted on Yelp so I don't have any of our meals here. I'll try to get on next time though. One thing I did want to note was the small portion size in the chicken and quinoa dinner (I forgot the name of it) which was very small. It's in the 2 for $22 menu and lists that it's something like 600 calories so I guess it's to be expected. Overall, Applebee's is a win in my book. read more

So for starters, me and my boyfriend went to Applebee's in Sandusky Ohio the other day for date night and we had an amazing experience! I can't remember our waitresses name to save my life but she was amazing! She was so sweet, funny, caring, nice and respectful!! She said she had been gone for a couple of weeks and had just gotten back to work! I want her as my waitress every time I go!!! She took such great care of us!!! She didn't mess anything up!!! She didn't forget about us and she kept checking in and making sure everything was good and that we didn't need anything!!!! I wish I could remember her name for the life of me because I want her to know how much me and my boyfriend appreciated her and how amazing she was!!!! I am going to go back and find out her name because she deserves the credit!!!! I highly recommend Applebee's in Sandusky Ohio!!!! They have an amazing staff, they take care of their customers, they have great tasting food, and it is a nice atmosphere to eat in!!! read more

Thank you to the manager in charge the evening my family arrived. We had 11 in our party and we were first set at 2 different tables. The gals at the door doing their jobs best they could. Just not good to sit apart when we came from a few thousand miles away and some many miles to visit before everyone went home. The manager got us his large table/booth in no time at all. Luckily it was becoming available but he was on it and made it happen so we could all be together. Our meals were all correct. They tasted good. Our great waitress kept our drinks full. Then it was time to say good bye. I don't know when I'll get to see my kids again. Theirs and the grandchildrens lives are so busy. I like to get a bite here after the park on my way home. This one is pretty standard. As of recent the staff lacked energy. We had to wait a few minutes before anyone greeted us. Food was sloppy, and presented decently. We both got burgers, we ordered with pink, and we got well done. Not a big deal we didnt complain. Manager approached our table, he was looking like he was going to ask us how we were, but then turned around. we always go after the park closes or near close, the Applebee's has never been busy. I've been disappointed the last few times I came in here. The menu is standardized and the wait staff is friendly enough but the kitchen seems lacking in consistency. Last time two salads came to the table with no dressing. The time before I ordered a pasta dish that barely had sauce and tasted like plain noodles with grilled chicken tossed on top. On the up side, the beer is served cold. But that seems to be all you can really count on. read more

Got to have lunch here. It was delicious. My friend had a hair in her Mac and cheese and as soon as we told the waitress she immediately took it back to get her a new one. She did tell the manager, and the manager made sure to follow up with us. He was super nice and made her feel better. He did take it off of the bill - which was great! 4/5 stars. read more
