Love this Applebee's! Shout out to Ezra and Cealane for taking care of us! Definitely took the experience up to the next level! My friends and I have been coming here since they opened. I live out of town, but when ever I come up to visit my family I always call up my friends and ask them to meet me here! The appetizers are always a hit and the beer is always cold! We can always catch the game on one of the many TV's around the restaurant and we hardly ever have any problems getting a table. Yes it gets crowded and the wait can be a little long, but for half off appetizers and a laid back atmosphere I don't mind getting there early to try to beat the rush. Applebees is right now at a sweet spot for value. And the food actually tastes pretty decent. My wife and I shared an ultimate trio deal for $20 and bought a couple $5 drinks during happy hour. You really can't beat that. Service at this location is typical for a diner. Not sure if they were understaffed when we visited but we waited a good 10 minutes in a half empty restaurant to be seated. And watched the table seated after us get served their meals first. That being said, we didn't wait long for our order, but long enough to notice. The wait staff were nice, the drinks came out pretty quickly, and the ambiance isn't that different from any other American restaurant. But in summary, don't sleep on the value of Applebees. You can get a better value meal here than at a fast food place and with more options. But as with any dining establishment, sometimes you can get the short straw in service or wait times. read more

Came by on a Saturday for their daily happy hour (3 pm to 6 pm and 9 pm to close). Their happy hour menu notes a special for their Brewtus Imports & Crafts for $7. I found out that their only IPA does not fall under a "craft" beer. If not a craft beer what is it? Nowhere on their menu do they note "premium" (I guess) craft drafts. Wish I could talk about the food but our server didn't come to take our food or drink order for more than 20 minutes. It was wildly slow in the restaurant, She walked by our table a number of times without even glancing at us. Took care of the tables around us but never circled back to us. There were two managers circling as well but never touched our table. Really wish this wasn't the case because we were really craving it. We ended up leaving after 25ish minutes of waiting. The 2 stars are not for Roxie she did an excellent job a gets 5+ stars. I went to use restroom and when I walked in saw a wet floor sign. Only liquid I could see was lake urine in front of the urinal. You could see tracks headed out to the bar and dining area, wet stains on floor. Not good, maybe clean the rest rooms more often. Went on 5/24/2026 at about 6:30pm with a party of 7 and first clue to not dine there was no one was waiting to be seated. The waitress tried to seat us at a booth that the last patrons obviously had a food fight before leaving. We had to ask that it be cleaned first. Food littered the table, seats and the floor. That was our second clue. Once "cleaned" we were again seated, however, the table and seats were very wet. Clue three, someone here has a bad attitude, menus left in a pile as were the eating utensils. Clue four, my wife tried to apologize for being difficult (we weren't) and the server said he was used to difficult people because this was a part time job and his primary job was at a behavioral center. Wait, what? Was he saying we were the problem? He brought the appetizer plates and took the order for that. Clue five, while we waited the plates were distributed. 8 plates and each one were filthy with food, top and bottom. I had to use the black box to summon the server back. He wasn't happy. Too bad! I wasn't either! We should have left right then. When the appetizers were brought, the boneless chicken wings were cold! Looking around, all the servers were suddenly cleaning. Not well either. Even the window next to us was top to bottom covered in greasy hand prints inside and dirt outside and no sun shade available. I can't comment on the restroom because I didn't use it. The food was standard Applebee's. The desert, when did Applebee's stop bring the little cup of topping for the blondie desert? The server added it in the back so by the time we got it, it was already melting the ice cream. Not a pleasant experience, and one we will never have again! Avoid this location. We went in for drinks and appetizers this afternoon. My friend and I each ordered a margarita, which came in a tall metal cups, along with an iced glass. The service and presentation were great. However, considering their size and price, the drinks were definitely lacking. I don't know if there was a drop of tequila in them. Neither of us noticed a thing after finishing our drinks. I called in an order to pick up. Arrived at the time they indicated and waited 15 min standing at the bar and received no acknowledgement. Finally asked the bartender and he just said someone would come. He finally went to check and brought out the order. Sitting at the bar the floor was sticky and they just opened? I got more greetings and warm feelings as I was leaving instead of when I arrived. Alright I'll be completely honest, I try my best not to eat take out or fast food anymore. On occasion I'll want something but I'm feeling a smidge lazy. I don't wanna take the time effort and thought that it takes to prep & make a full on dinner. So this is one of my go to restaurants. I appreciate that they have curbside pickup, so I can grab on the way home or just go in my PJs if I wanted. Ordered the Bacon Ranch Crispy Chicken sandwich--the chicken literally looked like a COMPLETELY different chicken patty than the commercials/promos (I'll include a picture of my food and a picture of what Applebees claims the chicken sandwich looks like)--The batter is literally a whole different kind of batter--that is so ridiculous to me. I didn't take a picture of the inside, which I should have but I'll just say there was probably 1/2 of a teaspoon of ranch on the bun...yes 1/2 of a teaspoon NOT a tablespoon. Sooo ridiculous. So, here's my thoughts. It was absolutely TERRIBLE! I had the WORST experience. I went there with my mother and my grandmother to take my grandmother out for a birthday dinner. A host seated us when we got inside, then we waited for about 10 to 15 minutes without being given any water or asking us if we would like any drinks. The place wasn't very busy at all. There was only like five tables being occupied throughout the entire restaurant. The waitress/bartender, whatever she was, she looked across the room, literally ask two women if everything was ok, as I had my hand up to wave at the waitress/bartender and got no responseor acknowledgement. We were completely ignored. My mother and grandmother and I were completely drawn back by the neglected. It was absurdly the worst service I've had. We aren't going there again. It was very discouraging and discomforting. I hope nobody else feels that sort of treatment when they go there. Hopefully the staff will be better to attending customers. Or maybe losing customers. read more

Got back to the office ready to have a nice cup of chicken tortilla soup and this is what I got. A half of a cup of soup. I took a picture as soon as I opened it. It almost looks like someone else enjoyed a little of it before giving it to me. My coworker loves Applebees and she got the oriental chicken salad. She said it wasn't that good and she always orders that when she goes. Applebees won't be seeing me at all unless someone wants to meet there. It was a Wednesday evening. Felicia was our waitress. The appetizer took almost 30mins to show up, and then the main course arrived about 5mins after the appetizer. There really didn't seem to be much thought by the kitchen as to how to balance the delivery of the food items. The medium-requested sirloin was well done, and charred in some parts. The chicken Alfredo with broccoli was amazing, as were the ribs. My family and I went to dinner tonight and it was my idea to go to Applebees. Long story short we get there and was seated and our waitress named Alexis was NOT having it. No smile, nothing. I was to the point where I even asked her if she was having a good night. Not one time did she ask us how everything was or if we needed anything. I can't remember the last time I was in here but I think it was after band practice, maybe 8 years ago? I use to come in here mainly for the baby back ribs. But I always remembered that the food was always good. So today we decided to come here because we have a gift card from applebee's that we had for 2 years. It was early in the afternoon and there wasn't too many people and usually it's packed but as we came in the front we weren't greeted by anyone, I was hoping to see a sign that said "wait to be seated" but I felt kind of awkward just waiting and wondering if we should go seat ourselves. Finally someone came by and said someone would come by to seat us. The associate approached us and wasn't very talkative especially when we asked for a booth and told us to wait so that they could wipe down the table. Another associate came by to seat us and again not a very good start, we got seated, then was asked what to drink, then I asked do you have Dr Pepper and it seemed like if it was a crazy question and she said no, then I asked do you have coke, she simply said "no, Pepsi" I saw that maybe I was sounding rude to her so my wife showed me the menu, and I saw Brisk and instead of asking, I showed brisk Brisk and asked what flavor is available, she said raspberry, I said cool. But it got better when I ordered wonton chicken tacos and she seemed a little more pleasant. Okay we both ordered Quesadilla burgers and fries. The wonton chicken tacos were excellent, it was a great idea of a combination, just pure delicious. The Quesadilla burgers were okay, I should of just ordered a burger but it was good. The fries were excellent, and they stayed crisp to the end. Only thing I can say is work on customer service. Now I know I have a purpose to come more often... Wonton chicken tacos! read more

I have never had this bad of an experience at a restaurant. When we first walked in, there was one table filled and nobody but the bartender present. She was extremely rude. Waited for the hostess, the hostess wasn't rude but didn't seem like she wanted to be there at all. Our waitress was great, super nice and accommodating. I ordered the steak and shrimp with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. I ordered medium rare and had to send the steak back because it was well done. When it came out the second time, it was even more well done, so i didn't bother to send it back. The broccoli was very dull and not seasoned, and the mashed potatoes were cold. The shrimp was okay but left a horrible taste in my mouth and i felt nauseous after eating them. My husband got the salmon and shrimp and his salmon was extremely fishy and once he got to the middle it looked like it had gone bad. He spit it out after the first bite. His meal was also cold. The only person that enjoyed their meal was my son who ordered the cheese pizza and applesauce we were super disappointed. And we spent over $100 for a terrible meal we didn't even eat. read more

I'm not always big on chain restaurants, but actually had a great experience here this past weekend. I remember when this location was built almost 30 years ago. I must have been 5 or 6 at the time. I recall excitedly coming here with my family and dining at one of their elevated, window-side booths. I was able to relive my nostalgia this past weekend. I was in an odd predicament where I had misplaced my wallet. My only payment option was Apple Pay. Wanted a sit-down experience but the majority of Santa Maria's localized restaurants didn't seem to accept this as a form of payment (I checked). Lucky for me, Applebee's did. I wish I could recall our waiter's name because he was awesome. He was very peppy and continually checked on us. He also refilled my water cup a few times without me needing to ask, which I always appreciate. I ordered the Spinach + Artichoke Dip (with chips) along with the Fiesta Lime Chicken. Both items came out relatively quickly and were excellent. Again, chain restaurant, so my expectations were low. However, both items wholly exceeded these expectations of mine.
