Not generally a fan of Apple Bee's but the food at this location was very fresh. Facility was all over very clean and most of the staff polite... The exception to this was my waitress(Jen). After waiting for 7mins she finally approached to ask "what do you want...". Maybe it's a location difference but I'm not used to that sort of rude and abrupt service. This used to be one of my favorite places to go, but a recent incident has changed my opinion drastically. Even though we had just eaten (and drank) here a week ago, they denied my fiancé service at the bar due to a line through his birthdate on his license (a rub mark from his wallet that did not obscure the text). My fiancé has an under 21 drivers' license (due to getting it renewed prior to turning 21), so they could clearly see the "under 21 until" date had passed). They treated us as though we had done something wrong and we left. We will not be returning after being treated this way. read more

I used to go here with my family a lot but over the years it has gotten pretty bad and overpriced. Last time I went I got cold fries and crappy salmon. Everything there looks better in the pictures than when it's right in front of you. If you want to pay a lot of money for a small amount of food go to Applebee's. read more

I went there last week with co workers for lunch. The food was horrible, I got a sandwich and the bread was darker toasted/hard and the meat was all dried out. Thankfully we had an extremely nice server who took it off my bill without me even asking. I would only return due to the great service we had not for the food quality. read more

I'll be honest I'm not really a big fan of any Applebee's. It seems like anytime I ever eat at any Applebee's I get an upset stomach. So I usually only end up here hanging out with friends and eating something light. Service has never been bad here and they have something like Red Robins Ziosk so you can pay your bill at the table or call the server to the table. So it's modern enough. Just not my cup of tea. read more

Their 2 for $20 is typically what we order. The only time I've had a steak from here that was cooked like I requested was when I had a coupon from a manager to try a new steak from a previous visit because they always seem to mess up our steak. It's like the coupon from a manager is what made them think "we better get this right". The staff is mediocre and do not go out of their way for you Our order has never been correct here. Our waitress was Jess. It took her almost 20 minutes before coming to the table. Brought us appetizer plates and they weren't even clean. We had to ask for drink refills. There was stuff floating in my cup. She wouldn't come check in us really at all. The manager that is on could careless about anything going on. She is walking around like she doesn't have a care in the world and not even table touching. I usually like Applebee's but this was absolutely horrible. I won't be back for a while. read more

The strip in Selingsgrove is home to approximately 40 food establishments, but my husband and I almost always choose Applebees when we dine out. We love the food and the service at this location. The staff always treats us as if we were family or friends. One particular server is so superior that we call first to see if she is working, and we ask to be seated in her area because we know we will receive outstanding service. The two for $20 is a good bargain. We've never had a meal we weren't satisfied with at Applebee's. read more

Food and service spectacular!!! Staff went out of their way to make garlic bread for our penne pasta which use to be included with the meal. We are dining here right now and the foods great staff was great before the garlic bread thing. But as for the music it sucks and where's the country? I literally would rather be eating in silence then listening to the past 10+ songs. But our waitress (Chris) is the best and I'm not sure what she's being paid but she is doing an excellent job and regardless I'm sure it's not enough. You guys got a keeper! But not a 5 star rating because the music. We were told they can't get the garlic bread like they use to and the music. Let the store set it to what the people want in the local area. I never had any problems with Applebees whenever I dine at their restaurants . One particular night, My husband and I stopped in to this Applebees on January 24,2014 with my brother and his girlfriend. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was extremely crowded and busy, which is to be expected. Our waitress, who was very nice and we had no issues with. She was trying to make sure everyone was satisfied for a crowded night. When we received our drinks,my brothers coffee as explained by him tasted like "burnt motor oil" and the iced teas my husband, my brothers girfriend and I ordered had no flavor. When our entrees arrived. My brothers girlfriend who ordered the chicken alfredo mentioned there was too much garlic, the pasta was rubbery and the chicken was cold. I ordered the slider platter. My fries was cold so I pushed them aside. My brother ordered the shrimp platter and his shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. We paid over $40 for a very bad meal. We left without contacting the manager and I put in a bad experience comment to the restaurant. Within a day, The manager at this restaurant called me back and I explained how our dining experience was. He felt about our bad experience and he offered us a $40 voucher to come back again. I didn't make it back down to use this voucher since it was about to be expired so I gave it to my sister in law and husband to use at the Lewisburg restaurant. They mentioned they had a good experience. I'm happy everything was resolved. Maybe next time I am visiting the area; I may stop in but not on a night it is busy. read more
