Stopped in for a late lunch with my buddy. They have a pretty good happy hour. I was gonna order the 2 for 9.99 appetizer but the bartender turned me on to the happy hour menu where I could get two full orders for the same price! Got the wonton tacos and boneless wings. My buddy got the chicken parm. He wanted white sauce and the bartender fully accommodated him. Very cool. Overall it was what it was but the bartender whose name I can't recall made the experience positive. He is a good guy. Check it out. Happy hour is where it's at. Took my 79 year old mother here on 08/27/22 2:00 pm. Our Waitress was fantastic. We left her a $20.00 tip, she went the extra mile to bring a book out to us to make sure what I wanted to order was safe as I have allergies to food..It was not busy. The food was really good, oriental chicken salad, appetizer tray, onion rings. The place was disgustingly dirty.. trash cans by where you are seated over flowing onto the ground. Walking by the bar to the restroom, the floor was gross even going into the kitchen you could see filth and wadded up paper towels on the kitchen floor. The bathroom, the floors looked as if they had not been moped in forever.. The toilet seat had black scuff marks on it so to be safe I used 2 protectors.. the place was just dirty, the window seals.. had I noticed before ordering we would have left..thank goodness the food was really good! read more

Soooo, there is this guy that greets you with this energy that is something else. He belongs in Hollywood or Disneyland or something. I truly believe that he will be on TV. Anyways, the workers will know who I'm talking about "have an Appletastic day" lol. He is funny and quirky. In my day he might have been beat up. But I think he is funny and should be recognized. Just to give a background story , Applebee's is the chill spot for me and my husband we love coming and just hanging out eating wings and chicken wonton tacos which are BOMB ..... we recently just moved back to the area and decided to finalize the welcome back eating at Applebee's, we even brought my brother who came down to visit form out of town .... straight to the point our customer service was horrible the food was trash the waiter was kicking everything up and of course many would think .... I'm NEVER coming back but the manager came out he spoke with us and apologized because he seen we were totally being ignored ..... I guess it's safe to say we really didn't loose our cool because Mathew greeted us with such a welcome spirit he made our girls laugh he was very kind and funny and that's great customer service ... also ran into an old high school pal mike who also came down to greet us and apologize for our experience. That along made us come back and that's when we again was greeted by Mathew same high energy full of welcomes and joy , and our waiter DeeNa she was bomb.com she had a whole area and from what I could see she was over working but she kept it together she stayed calm she was nice and very consistent thank you Deena you gave us that good ol feeling back. Also I like how you brought me my food as soon as it was ready .... I've heard from different people that they hate when the waiter brings out the food item by item but not me I prefer my food hot. Would love to give them a no star at all service here sucks, waited 30+ minutes no service. Had to get a servers attention to be able to get our order in. Really ?! I would understand if it was busy but no not busy half of the restaurant empty ! What was ordered was not available. Server (Jacob) was nice was a plus, he was very attentive once he got to us. The experience from the start was a no, we walked it was greeted, could have done better, yet we didn't get walked to a table and had to look for our own, most of them dirty btw. Poorly managed. 2nd time in two weeks they're out of blackberries for their lemonade but still manage to serve and charge for it. Came in at 10:15pm and no longer serving babyback ribs. Today is my daughters birthday. I live a stones throw from the restaurant. I called ahead to see if there was a wait and the employee who answered said, "they were virtually empty" and to come straight in. Fast forward 3 minutes and 37 seconds....we park and walk in to find there's a one hour wait due to a backup in the kitchen. I would encourage the management to better train their employees and customers to look elsewhere. As a 10 year customer it's rather frustrating. read more

Day after Christmas, walk in for dinner at about 5:15. For a party of 6 the wait was a half an hour (took about 15). They didn't look too terribly busy. We sat down and waited 10 minutes for our server to come by and ask about drinks. He brought the drinks quickly which was nice, we asked for another minute so others could make sure they knew what they wanted. He had 7 tables and was rushing around we waited another 10 minutes to order. I over heard him say the "day after Christmas rush" was unexpected and they were under staffed all around. We finally got our order in, we ordered some appetizers as we figured our actual order would take awhile. We ordered boneless wings and crunchy wings. THEY HAD NO SAUCE ON THEM, it was as off the took them out of the fryer used an old bowl with a tiny bit of sauce on them and that was it. Anything that could go wrong with the order did. My son asked for a plain hamburger (no cheese, no nothing). Came smothered in cheese so we sent it back. My baby back ribs were burnt and covered in BBQ sauce to hide it. The kitchen seemed way too busy (who was cooking back there)? THANKFULLY! Sam (the night manager) came by and I let him know about our food. Sam comped a few of our meals and threw in desert. Mike our server was equally as great. They did everything in their power to make the situation right. Today was a bad day made worse by the service. My mom and I had just picked up the remains of my father and on our way home we decided to get something to eat. We could've gone to the Olive Garden but decided to go here instead. The hostess took us all the way towards the back even though there were tables nearby. I guess the cane didn't make any difference to her when my mom hobbles along trying to Lee up. I don't know why she waited, all she did was put the menus down and silverware, then take off mumbling something. We waited and finally someone said he would be with us shortly. He had food and drinks he was delivering so we thought that was acceptable to at least acknowledge us. Unfortunately he made it seem like we were a burden. He didn't write anything down and I thought of all the people on FB that comment on servers who try to impress but miss the mark. Well, so did he. We ordered iced tea with NO lemon. He forgot to bring them out before our salads so he quickly got them with lemon. Strike 1. My mom asked for no seasoning on the potatoes and that was fine but the chicken had it all on one part and it was very spicy in one area (not evenly seasoned). I had noticed that the hot skillet was not sizzling like it should but it was still fairy warm. He never came back to check on us even though he had walked by many times. Strike 2. He did eventually ask how things were when we were done and takes forever to bring back to go containers for the chicken. Ok, we ask for 2 iced teas to go. Then walks over to a table that was just seated. He took their order and delivered their drinks asap. I had to go ask someone else for the iced teas. Strike 3. You're out of a tip. I was in the mood for a pasta dish so we decided to try Applebee's in Tracy. The young man with glasses at the door seating people was rather rude and seemed to hate his job. We hoped it would not carry over to the rest of our experience. Our waitress was pleasant and quick to take our drinks order. My husband said his Corona was cold and refreshing. The Bahama Mama I ordered was mostly ice, weak, and just ok. The Banana Liquor seemed to be missing. For the price, I wished it had tasted better. My husband ordered the Sirloin dinner with mashed and Mac n Cheese. The steak was not cooked to MW, more like MR; unable to eat half the meat as it was not done. He said the Mac n Cheese was sticky, dry, and tasted old. He sent it back. The mashed potatoes were sticky and not the best. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli. The dish arrived cold, chewy broccoli, and very little sauce. I sent the plate back and it returned with more sauce, still cold and broccoli still chewy. I tied to eat part of the meal as I was hungry and my husband was already done with his plate. It was so sticky and not the best, barely at 1/4 of the plate. Our waitress was pleasant and apologetic about our less than pleasant dinner experience, discounted our ticket by a couple dollars, but we left hungry and unimpressed. Unfortunately, we won't be back. For the price a family pays for a nice dinner out in Tracy, it has to be good and worth the money spent; Applebee's of Tracy missed the mark tonight. read more

By far the best applebees I've been too. Looking for a late night place to chill and have a drink. They are open till 1am on weekends. So came in with a friend to have a small bite and drink and catch up. Bar or club would of been to loud and packed. I must say the service here was awesome. Charlie the bartender last night was very nice and friendly. He made us laughed and talked to us into having a jello shot. Place seem very chill and relax but then again it was late. However there were some beezies mean muggin. we ordered the sampler and that was delicious. theres a late night happy hour which is good too but sampler was perfect. I don't like to write negative reviews. But the Tracy Applebee's is like the Titanic. I remember a time when they had doting servers who had a working knowledge of the menu, manager's would stop by table-side to ask for comments, etc., etc. That is when she was newer and gleaming. Now on July 8, 2018 at 12:00pm opening, it has become a frightful mess. We were led to our table by the hostess, and my first observation was that the tables were wiped down by someone visually impaired because there were wiped-in dried piles of food debris spread across the table. So I asked the hostess to have someone clean the table. She acted astonished and repeated: "you want someone to clean the table?" So I responded, "yes, I don't normally like sitting down at a table with this much food on it without having paid for it." So someone else came and cleaned the table. Other tables nearby were similarly stained or else we would have asked to move. AND REMEMBER, this is at opening time. Then my sister-in-law opened her napkin with the silverware inside and apparently the dishwasher missed the knife which was encrusted in some unidentifiable food product. My brother's steak knife also came to the table with baked-on whatever. The meals were all edible. The staff seemed to already have retreated to the lifeboats, because getting any assistance from anyone was impossible. Our waiter had four tables to wait on, and one table had ten guests, so he had a good excuse for not being attentive. The hostesses were too busy talking about nail polish or something to even occasionally glance out at customers, and the managers were non-existent, until I asked for one at the end of this disgraceful event. She was pleasant and offered me some gift certificates which I took and gave to my grandson, who at age 18 probably doesn't care about service, just a heaping portion of food. I just cannot go back there again. I feel that the public should have a right to know that this ship is sinking fast. I would urge the County Health Inspectors to pay them an extensive visit. read more

Terrible service. Went once before and the service was subpar,mediocre bordering on terrible. I tried it again last night and it was just as terrible. It takes forever to get your drinks served. It took about 15, mon after a couple of us ordered to get our drinks. And when the waitress asked if we needed a minute to order, she gave us 20 instead. Then she gave me my food order while my friend had to wait another 10 minutes before she got hers. Another one of my friends was trying to order her food and while she was ordering, our waitress told her hold on, and walked away. our waitress didn't even apologize or anything. She never once asked if we were doing okay but a table next to us were filled with her friends and she seemed to do her job well for them. Fool me once shame on you-twice shame on me. I am new to town and I been to a few apple bees in the bay area and for some reason I never really thought apple bees food was great but my waitress, I think her name was Vicki, was VERY AWESOME!! She made some great recommendation and WOWWW!!! I AM HOOKED!!! Whenever my wife suggested Applebee's in the past, I would immediately say no based on a past experiences. So my wife and I had a few hours to spare before taking off for a road trip. o Reluctantly, I agreed to go! Okay, I will admit, I was pleasantly suprised on my recent visit to Applebee's. Aside from the makeover on the exterior, there must have been a corporate makeover as well? The menu has been updated. This neighborhood Applebee's appears to have had a change in personnel, quality of food, taste and overall customer service. Our server was named Jennifer, as was very pleasant. Jennifer took our drink order. My wife decided on a Raspberry Lemonade, and I decided on the Mango Tea. After the first sip on the Mango Tea, it just wasn't hitting it. The Black Tea overwhelmed the Mango flavor. None the less, Jennifer changed out my drink for a Wild Berry Tea. It was more flavorful....thank goodness because I needed something that was really going to quench my thirst! My wife decided to have their Cowboy Burger and Fries and I decided on the Jalapeno and Lime Shrimp with a Rice Pilaf. My wife claims that this burger was one of th ebest burgers she's ever had! I guess it's just my luck? My Shrimp came out with white rice instead of Rice Pilaf. It wasn't my servers fault either, someone in the kitchen just decided to put it on the side and our server corrected it immeditaely! So, will I give Applebee's another chance? I would give a minus if I could and after reading all these reviews- I will share my thoughts with you! Over two months ago we visited the Milpitas location (check my review) I also sent this review onto the Corp. Office and in-turn got a call from Eric Schmitt who is the GM for numerous locations including Milpitas & this location is his "home store". We spoke over 9 weeks ago regarding our extremely disappointing experience at the Milpitas location. He claimed he would be visiting that area to discuss mine : as well as other patrons issue with the staff. He also claimed he would be sending me a GC to "try them" again for better results & extended his gesture: that if I was even in the area to stop by the Tracy location. I have never received anything in the mail, he never followed up! So disappointing and won't be back to either of these locations @ Applebee's anytime soon. Seems this GM's territories lack in good customer service and that stems from the corporate, to management, down to him & his staff. Follow through!! read more

I would not recommend eating at this Apple bees location I ordered a salad with shrimp and it was a giant plate full of lettuce with about five or six shrimp and It was supposed to have edamame which had I could've counted in my hand there were so few of them. it was a was terrible. the dressing was bland the service was slow. I was very very disappointed and the waitress did not keep our coffee filled. we had to try to get her attention for refills.
