After 7 nights of cruise food, we were ready to try something new and local. Sharp's was only 5 minutes from our hotel, and highly rated, so I figured we would give it a shot. We arrived at the restaurant to a full parking lot with people standing outside. However, when we went in, the wonderful hostess informed us there was no wait. The seater showed us to our table, and chatted with us about our day along the way. He also explained the 3 menus that he gave us, and informed us we were right in time for happy hour. Our server, Sam, greeted us promptly, and she was so incredibly welcoming to our family, answering questions about the menu items. It was so hard to decide what to order, so we ordered several small plates (Brisket nachos, Wings, Brisket tacos, fries, and mac and cheese, along with the complimentary cornbread). To our surprise, everything came out so quickly. This was probably the fastest service I've ever had at a restaurant. The servers who delivered our food were friendly and welcoming as well. Not only that, EVERYTHING we ate was phenomenal. The fries were flavorful and perfectly salted, the wings were fantastic, and the brisket nachos? Wow....the brisket was some of the best we've ever had, and the nacho chips even stood out. The biggest compliment is from our 15 year old who said that the mac and cheese is some of the best pasta she's ever had. Throughout the whole meal, Sam was so attentive and chatting with us about the restaurant and dessert options. I truly enjoyed everything about our experience. The food and service both were top notch. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is that I'll have to book another flight to Seattle from Michigan to eat there. I'll be recommending it to everyone I know though!

Disappointed that the first impression was they aren't collectively trying to keep an appearance of excellence and attention . Dirty tables for that long shows me it's not a priority, although it's a basic restaurant nuance.

I got halibut with a beautiful gazpacho side, it was delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband got steak Oscar and he also said it was amazing. The focaccia and garlic cofit oil was delicious, we loved it! We got the most delicious creme brulee, all of the desserts sound amazing. We got a nice bottle of cab franc. After dinner we were able to take the remains with us as we walked around the beautiful grounds. We found nice adirondack chairs next to a koi pond and extended the dinner experience. It was lovely. I wish I could remember our servers name, I think Adrianna, she was incredible and enhanced our experience by guiding our decisions, chatting and meeting all of our dining needs. He was gracious and took it anyway. Out come our plates. I tasted my husbands fish and found it seriously lacking in flavor; nothing great here. Now let's get to my Ahi wrap; I had serious issues with this.This includes tuna, avocado, cilantro lime coleslaw with chipotle aioli and lime on the side. House made chips and salsa were included. The wrap was hugely disappointing. The ratio of tuna to coleslaw was seriously off. 90 percent of this wrap was coleslaw. The chips weren't fresh and the salsa was just ok, had a sweet type of base, which I don't like in my salsa. The lime included was stale and I couldn't get a drop out of this. The chipotle was so so. The coleslaw had no distinctive cilantro lime flavor. This dish was entirely disappointing and priced at 19.95. Never again. My husband's dish had two pieces of fish and was priced at 18.50. So after the cost of the drinks, the meal was over 60. Shame on us for a few things: 1. For not looking closely at the prices 2. And for most importantly, for simply not grabbing a decently priced hot dog at the farmers market. I'm positive this would have been better and a better deal. We will not be back to this place.
