09/28/2020: First time I scheduled my appointment the service person did not show. Come to find out they didn't schedule me but confused it for another job...even though I have an email that has my job number and a reply from them for a show up window. I scheduled for a second time...between 3 and 5. Jedd calls at 1:00 and says he's here and asks if I can reschedule. No I said but I can be there in about 1/2 hr. Reluctantly he said that he'd be here. I get here within 1/2 hour (27 minutes) and waited, texted while he ignored me and then found out from his office he left for another job and is out of the service area. I left work unexpectedly as quick as I could, rushed to get here for him, and he left wasting more of my time! So then he shows up about 45 minutes later. He comes in, turns on the fridge, takes the wood trim cover off the bottom of the machine (didn't take off any of the metal cover underneath so he never actually looked at anything inside the fridge like the two compressors or anything). He then said that he'd write up a report because he doesn't think the fan is working or something else, but he hears the compressors...and said the insurance company will get back to me on the next course of action. I watched him try to put the wood cover back on but looked away for a while but next thing I knew he was ready to leave...as he was leaving I noticed that the screws for the wood cover were not installed. I asked him where they were. He said 'I must have placed it in here' referring to his tool box. He took out almost everything in his tool box and found one of the screws. I told him to leave it instead of trying to reinstall it...then he gave the excuse that he'd be the one coming back to so then fix even though he already told me that depending on what the insurance company says this company may not be doing the work. That's where it's at now. I'll wait for warranty company to get back to me, I'll see if this company/person actually does anything it says it will. I hope to write a better review when something actually gets fixed. 10/02/2020 Update: Appliance Guard Pro referred the repair back to the home warranty company to find an alternate service company to do the actual work because Appliance Guard Pro does not do the type of repair required. So the service 'professional', Jedd, from Appliance Guard Pro who decided on his own to take the screw because he was unable to reattach the wood trim isn't coming back after all (even though after I caught him taking the screw he told me he was coming back to do the job and would have brought back the screw). How unprofessional! From scheduling to professionalism, this company does NOT perform! And reading some other reviews, this company doesn't value your time either. For those of you reading this, please know that most warranty companies contract with various service companies and you are able to request alternate service company(ies) to come to your home. I would recommend that you request an alternate service company if you hear "Appliance Guard Pro". Stay away. And if you are stuck with them, and they assign a person named "Jedd", request someone else. You know when the person is 'working' and you have a feeling that he doesn't know what he's doing or has been completely unprofessional from the beginning and his 'work' reinforces your feeling that the person lacks the ability to do the job? Well both Appliance Guard Pro and Jedd made me feel that way. Stay away! read more

Microwave has been broken for over 2 months. My Fidelity Home Warranty assigned me to this vendor. It's taken over a month and it still isn't fixed. First time the technician lied to me and said they'll recommend that I get a new microwave to Fidelity, but then they say they can fix it with a replacement part. They send out a technician to try and install the replacement part, but didn't tell me they are coming! in Covid times, having a stranger show up at my door, when I have 3 young kids at home with my nanny. I'm not there. Apparently, the sr. technician takes 5 mins to mess with the built-in microwave and says he can't get it out, gives up and leaves. Writes to Fidelity the report that he can't access it, so that closes the claim. And I have to start ALL OVER again with Fidelity. I try to call Appliance guard pro to ask about this, and it takes me days. Every time I try and call them, I'm put through to their voicemail. When I finally got a customer service agent on day 4, she says their senior technician who is a very large man and another person couldn't get the microwave out, so it's not their problem now. And I need to go back to my home warranty and ask for another vendor. I've seen another vendor take out the microwave just fine! Plus, it's a built-in microwave that goes above my stove, you think the technician would know how to take it out, but they clearly just don't know - or have the knowledge/expertise. Terrible customer service, terrible technicians! waste of time. don't use them!!! read more

I have had excellent service from some companies and so-so service from others. That being said, Appliance Guard Pro is most likely the worst and scariest I've ever encountered. Not only do they have super poor communication but the tech that came out actually got angry with me for not calling him when I arrived home. He was sitting outside in his car watching me walk in--not sure if he's got issues?! After that encounter, he never followed through to start the job as he said he would. I had to call the tech back and he yelled at me again saying he's not in charge and to call his boss. THE absolute strangest experience. Needless to say, there are WAY better companies to work with who are professional, follow through, good communication and do great work. If I had ten thumbs, this would be a ten thumbs down for these guys!!! read more

I was assigned to this vendor by Fidelity Home Warranty. The tech came to check on our washer and said that the motor has seized and advised to just replace it instead of attempting to repair it. Then, apparently they wrote the report to Fidelity Home Warranty differently. On the report they said that they were unable to make a diagnostic and recommend other vendor to check it out. Was "the motor has seized" not a diagnostic? I am so dissapointed that what they told me is different than what they wrote on the report. read more

Informed the tech the washing machine would smell when we wash a load. She ran a cycle then after that she said everything was okay. You could tell she was not confident with the task. How could she tell that everything was okay when she NEVER took the washing machine apart to INSPECT the BELT. And when you run a load with nothing in it there would be no pressure to make the belt work hard. Tried calling the office but there mail box is full. No doubt they are used to the complaints and can't own up took there unskilled employee. read more

Absolutely shady. Sean showed up and poured water on my floor in front of my dishwasher, took a phot of it, and said he'd claim I needed a new one. Yet he never put in a claim with American Home Shield or told them ANYTHING despite 7 phone calls to AMS and to Sean. No answers from any of them. He never filed any work report for my dish washer. A week later I'm still on hold trying to resolve this. Shady, lying, no communication. Do not use these people. read more

I had Sean come out on a claim. He turned the oven on, asked me what was going on. I told him that the oven was cooking the top of things but not the middle or bottom. Even with using different pans, he said that the control board was good but it was most likely the sensor for the oven and that he would put that in his notes. A couple of days go by and I haven't heard from the warranty place, so I call, needless to say they marked "nothing is wrong with the oven". I asked how that could be when we had a whole conversation about it. Then they said they would have to send someone else out, which means another day I have to take off... I asked to talk to the guy to see if he would remember our conversation but they said that's not how it works. I understand how busy it can get but make sure the conversation you have with the customer is the one you put in the comments. read more

He said he ordered parts, except after 3 weeks I find out from insurance that he closed the order as completed. I am stuck with a fridge that cannot be even closed (in addition to the cooling issue). Paid $75 for nothing. Didn't address the problem and left without fixing it. He was told the hose clogs, backs up and leaks. Instead of correcting it he ran it and was satisfied, even though he was told it doesn't happen every time. Asking for an immediate refund or an actual fix. read more

Luis the technician from appliance guard pro, has got to be the worst tech out there. I open a case with American home shield for a broken refrigerator. AGP, was assign to my case-07/04/21 open date, it's 8/16 n still have same problem. Luis has been to my home 6 time n nothing was fixed. I call AGP to request another tech and I was told the have 1 tech n that's Luis. I don't know how can this company still survive if this is the way they do business. read more
