The ability to accurately (and honestly) analyze and diagnose an appliance problem is an invaluable skill and one which is becoming rarer these days. I am happy to tell you that Tony G. from Flatirons Appliance Repair is one of those guys. The fact that Flatirons responded immediately to my initial inquiry was surprising at first, but after Tony showed up, it all made sense. Flatirons believes in a positive customer experience from your first contact forward. In our case, the part required to repair our appliance surpassed the threshold of reasonable cost - in our case it would be more economical to replace rather than repair (I hate to say this but many manufacturers design appliances for ease of manufacturing, and not repair). After a certain age (and ours definitely qualifies), it makes significantly more sense to replace if the cost of repair exceeds half the cost of new. Tony quickly evaluated the problem, found prices for the parts, gave us an idea of how long it would take to get the parts, and gave us excellent advice overall. You can't ask for better service than that.
