We had a weekend from hell where the door in our indoor refrigerator that controlled water dispensing, ice dispensing, and all of the electronics for the refrigerator went out. On top of that the garage refrigerator was not cooling in the refrigerator and was icing over everything in the freezer. We relied on Nextdoor ratings for Appliance Repair Expert and called Ilgar about the refrigerators on a Saturday. He came out that same day to diagnose both refrigerators' issues. He had to order parts for both but a couple of days later he returned and fixed the garage refrigerator, which was a bigger deal than one might think. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And as soon as the new door for our indoor refrigerator arrived - shipping was the critical path - Ilgar worked us into his schedule to replace that too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My fiancée is now happy that she can get ice and cold water through the door of our indoor refrigerator now, and that in turn makes me happy. He failed to communicate regarding my request for an estimate in the manor I asked. Therefore, there was a significant delay in scheduling. When he arrived to asses my appliance repair, he was irritated that I didn't have all of the parts needed to complete the repair prior to him arriving (ummm that's why I called a repairman). He made it very clear that even if I ordered the necessary parts, he did not want to return. I am assuming this is due to the fact that it's a small job and it's just not worth his time. Maybe he's great if you have a big job to do and the money is worth his drive and time? My refrigerator stopped working but, the freezer side was still working. It was such a pain trying to put some items in an ice chest, throw others away etc. The ice maker stopped working a while back also. I contacted Ilgar who came out as soon as possible. His rate to look at the refrigerator was reasonable. He was honest and stated how if the ice maker was broken and needed the door replaced, that it would cost as much as a new refrigerator. He noticed a chord wasn't plugged for the ice maker and reconnected it, it has been working ever since. This guy was very rude. Today my husband call this guy to make an appointment to come and look at our washer that is leaking.When my husband asked him about how much it would be approximately, he said between $250 and $350. He also said the service call is $75. Then, my husband asked if the $75 would go towards the cost of the repair and he said yes but that he will not come out if he was not going to repair it. He wanted a commitment to repair it or he wasn't coming even though we were going to pay him $75 just to come to look at it!!!! I first noticed a squealing noise in our dryer a week ago. The washer and dryer are only 4 years old. I called Ilgar yesterday based on a referral from my neighbor and from reading the reviews on how he does business. To my surprise Ilgar arrived today, when he said he would and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within 20 minutes. He had to replace a pulley in the dryer. He noticed the inside of the dryer, once disassembled, was very clean and commented that we have excellent ventilation for it to be that clean.
