I called Appliances Juarez because my freezer temperature was warming up fast. Someone showed up within the window of time specified and was able to quickly identify the problem. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and was patient enough to answer all my questions. Turns out the freezer had an insane amount of ice buildup behind the interior panel (not visible from the outside) and it was interfering with its ability to cool. It was $95 for the visit and $95 to disassemble the back panel inside and de-ice the entire system. It was worth every penny (There was A LOT OF ICE). Freeze works like new! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely call back for future repairs! read more

Holy Crap! My oven breaks on Sunday (won't heat up). I call around Monday and use Yelp to try and find someone who can fix it soon. I get responses from three businesses on Yelp, two simply telling me to call to make an appointment, which was nice that they got back to me quickly, I guess. Juan texts me, says what the price will be to come check the oven, he can come by the next day first thing in the morning. Tuesday morning rolls in, and I get back from dropping the kids off at school, and there's Juan on the front porch, 10 minutes early. He comes in, digs into the oven, and 5 minutes later, says "Yeah, you need a new igniter. Here's the [reasonable] price to install it, and yeah, I got the part in my truck." 10 minutes after that, my 20 year old oven is working again, Juan says "You can Venmo me, I'll text you the info", and we're done. 20 minutes TOTAL to fix my oven the next day after calling!! Could any of this be any easier? Every other business was like "It will be 10 days before we can get to you" because yeah, cooking dinner is something I'll skip for two weeks, no problem. You could argue that maybe Juan sucks at what he does, so he's not in high demand, so he can show up the next day. But 300+ reviews and he's at 5 stars? I think it's more like he shows up, gets it done right and gets it done quick, so he has time to help people. I wish every repair person was this efficient, nice and affordable. Wow. Just wow. I have had a helluva week. I woke up this morning excited to go to a massage I had scheduled at 9:00 am only to find out my kid was sick and my refrigerator was not working. Talk about disappointment. We have a samsung fridge, which if you have one you know only a select few people are able to work on it. I called at-least seven companies on here that could either not help me or didn't have anything till next week around wed. I have three children including a 2 month old (breast milk) and a husband that works for cal-fire and is gone 3-4 days a week. If you have kids you know that's an incredibly long time to go without a working fridge. a girlfriend of mine sent me a picture of a fridge magnet for the guys so I said "what the heck do I have to lose" little did I know I know what I was going to gain. I called Juan late one day and he was at our house early next morning to install a new pump on our dishwasher. A week later our 22 year old refrigerator developed a leak leading to the water dispenser. I called Friday afternoon and Juan went out of his way to be at our house Saturday morning. We don't use the water spigot but appreciate the ice maker and dispenser. Juan was able to isolate the two--no more leak from the water line but perfectly working ice making and dispensing. My Samsung front-load washer suddenly became a dead box. It doesn't turn on the power at all. I scheduled a Samsung authorized repairer, but the guy didn't show up on the scheduled day. Then I searched the yelp and found Juan. I called him late afternoon, but his VM is full and couldn't leave a message. I tried a text thinking probably he is too busy to come in today. Surprisingly, he replied back me and said he can come in. About an hour later he really showed up and took a look at the washer, plug-off/on and did some operation on the front panel to do a resetting sequence. It took only 5 min or so, my washer is fixed! He charged a reasonable fee compared to the so-called "authorized" repairer. My case was too easy for him to fix, but he certainly seemed to be very experienced and skilled because he didn't bring any manual or toolset, just by bare hand. I highly recommend him. read more
