Never had an unsatisfactory meal! Services are always pleasant. Sometimes there is a wait for a table but IMHO it's worth the wait.

went to Aoril's today after my sister's Dr. appt...we were greated warmly and told to sit anywhere...my sister has MS and uses a walker so we chose a table near the restrooms....after we ordered I could see that my sister was uncomfortable and hurting...there was an empty booth so we moved to it..I transferred all the cups and utensils...when the server brought our food she lectured me about how difficult our move would be for her if the restaurant was busy..it was half full...then the owner came over and explained that the Board of Health would be upset with a dirty table...HUH?...we never saw our server again...until she brought the check and her demeanor was so changed I asked her if she was pissed at us and that I thought the situation(?) was handled badly.....she went into a rant about how she was not rude to us and she treats OLD people very well...I will never go back to April's and this was the first time in my life that I left a 10% tip..I should have left nothing..but as a former server I just couldn't. read more

Would have given this place 5 stars until I was almost done with my meal and found a staple on my French toast. Thankfully I saw it. It came in a plastic bag so wasn't a staple from a paper bag. read more

First trip to April's this AM. I live in downtown Salem and usually walk to breakfast, but downtown is getting crowded with early Halloween visitors, so we decided to get in the car and try breakfast here. Well worth the trip. One of us had the veggie omelet which was demolished quickly. I had a single scrambled egg and one of French toast which were done quite nicely. The staff people were very attentive but not overbearing. We enjoyed coming here and will be back! read more

Ordered a breakfast burrito after getting influenced by YouTube videos in bed and had it delivered to my apartment. Incredible breakfast burrito with home fries, perfectly melted cheese, my only complaint was the salsa was a bit watery as opposed to a pico de Gallo, and the sour cream was warm from being included in the stryofoam container with a piping hot burrito, but complaints aside, taste was there. Will recommend this place for sure. read more

One word: AMAZING! I love this place. I tried it for the first time this week and fell in love. I was intrigued by the Dominican egg's Benedict because I've had Dominican breakfast but never eggs Benedict style. It was like literally heaven in your mouth... the service is amazing. The restaurant is super clean, and my boyfriend got steak and eggs which were so yummy! We can't wait to go back again, and we will be trying to lynn location for dinner sometime soon. :) read more

I work in the same plaza and always ordered take out for lunch and was always satisfied with food. Boyfriend and I decided to go on a Sunday for breakfast. Staff and service was great! Food came out under 10-15mins. The pancake was MASSIVE! Food was on point per usual and I love how close the staff are warm and inviting. Very clean, great service and excellent food just like their other location in Lynn. Love that they blend traditional American Breakfast/Brunch meals with some Dominican foods like the "Dominican Eggs Benedict" (it's great!). They also have other Latin dishes like mofongo and you can get Dominican sides (ie: fried cheese, salami, fried plantains). The waiters were very nice & attentive as well. I was thirsty and asked for water and they never let my glass go empty before refilling it. I live in Lynn but this one is closer than the original April's so this is my new spot! read more

After a long overnight shift at the hospital, several of us nurses decided to go out to breakfast to a place one of them suggested. As we walked up to the place you CLEARLY see all of the interventions they had in place to keep all customers safe from the outside to the inside. Always what a Nurse wants to see! Next my eyes were drawn to the attention of a big poster board with a picture of a beautiful young woman on the front of it. It was the story behind the restaurant. It was simply beautiful........... the place itself was super cute and super clean. Side note: There were several employees cleaning throughout the course of our meal as well. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything on the menu looked and sounded so great, so we decided on getting a lot of different things for everyone to try. Everything single thing we ate was outstanding!!!!! The food was cooked to perfection. Warm, fresh and portion size is perfect. Most of us took home left overs. My most favorite part about the experience was that the chef/owner of the restaurant had come to the table to make sure that we were all satisfied with our food. He definitely gets an A+++++ I know that we were not at a fine dinning experience but it was certainly close to it or the next best thing. I left feeling full in the belly and in the heart. Whoa. First time here. Great first impression. Will definitely be back. Stopped in for breakfast take out after an appointment next door. I got the Breakfast Quesadilla and an ice coffee to go. Got at home and...AMAZING. Big serving (my plate only has 1 of 4 pieces) Red and yellow peppers, home fries, bacon and cheese inside, with salsa and sour cream on the side. I ordered the Fried Haddock. It was pretty okay. I loved the backstory of their daughter April and the fact that they named the place after her. It was touching. April's is a real hidden gem in Salem. I went several times when I was living in the area. I always stuck to ordering traditional breakfast fare. It was consistently delicious, served hot and made to order. My favorite item was the breakfast scramble with sausage. Added bonuses are hot coffee which the friendly waitstaff quickly refills and easy parking in the lot. Lots of friendly, hard-working folks who are serving up some wonderful food! read more

Heard from friends about this place. There used to be a clam shop here. Open from 7 to 2 or 2:30 7 days a week. Excellent menu choices. Great variety - including some central-American dishes. My friend had the baked seafood combination plate - I had the fried seafood combination plate. My fried platter - -nothing was greasy - - everything was tasty. We will come back to try other menu items. Good service, great food, great variety, clean establishment, fair prices - - what more could you want? read more

Blueberry pancakes are fantastic as are the waffles but if they're going to put that much effort into great breakfast dishes at least give us the option to pay extra for Real Vermont Maple Syrup please!!! This restaurant is April's II, the 2nd location recently opened where Bob's Fried Clams previously was located. The 1st location is on Buffum St in Downtown Lynn. Parking in the Salem location is 100% improved. Dining room is super spacious. Service was prompt & friendly. A bit slow on warming up my coffee but our waitress was very busy working on To Go orders & she apologized . I'm looking forward to returning to try something from the lunch menu. The owner stopped by our table to make sure we were pleased with our meal. Very nice touch! I know the owner ( Julio, i think?) cares about his customers & providing top quality food & service that's affordable. Check, check & check! We were so full- portions are HUGE! I actually took home half of my omelette- that's how big it was! My daughter loved her chocolate milk to go with her chocolate chip pancakes. You'd never know it but my daughter is almost 20 years old! April's II offers a kids menu with good options for the little ones. As someone who also is blessed enough to have a "special " person in their family, the story of April's namesake & accompanied picture on the restaurant wall & on the website is VERY TOUCHING! Tucked away in a strip mall between Salem and Lynn is this great Dominican diner. The place was full when we arrived, but a spot quickly opened at the counter. Greg had the artichoke, tomatoes and spinach omelette with home fries, and a side of fried cheese. Fried cheese! Lori had the Dominican Benedict which had tostones topped with eggs and hollandaise with fried cheese (fried cheese!) and fried salami which Greg ate. Fried cheese! The meal was very authentic with the fried cheese being the highlight of the meal. If you are looking for great diner breakfast with a Dominican flair this is the place to go. read more

April's is definitely my favorite breakfast place. The family that owns this place is very friendly, amazing poeple. Both lactions are great (Lynn and Salem) the difference is Salem does not sell alcohol which doesn't change anything for me. If you haven't tried the Dominican benedict I suggest you give it a try my son gets it every time we go. But everything I have had so far is great! read more

My new favorite spot!!!! Ok first all breakfast places have bunk coffee so my expectations were low but the coffee is AMAZING! Second all the food is Soooo Tasty and made to perfection! Nothing, not the bacon, hash browns or bacon was over or under cooked. Also the wait staff is all amazing and everybody is happy and welcoming and attentive.
