I had such a disappointing experience. I grew up with Lena's and thought they had the best subs…read moreanywhere. I haven't had one for years. My favorite was the ham and cheese which I got today. I eagerly opened it and bit into it, but the bread was a bit hard and not the same as it used to be. The sub really had little flavor. There was shredded lettuce on it, which I don't recall being used years ago and there wasn't enough oil on it so it was kind of dry and tasteless. The woman who made it was very nice and she asked what I wanted on it and I said everything. Including hots? Yes! But there were no hots on it. Jeez. I know things change, but this really couldn't compare at all to the delicious subs they used to make. Maybe they aren't able to get the same bread anymore?

I have to say after reading some of these review I am speechless. I came here this past weekend, and everything the owner says it is, it is. Food is really good, my service not so much. I like the coffee station and it is apparent why they have it. I usually am all about the locally owned and operated places, but this guys likes to heckle people on yelp like he doesn't understand how the internet works. I am sure your business does well, but people have a right to their opinion. Sometimes people don't like the confrontation of speaking up to a manager, and if you are the one coming to the tables I can see why, very combative. Some people do not like to make it a big deal at the restaurant, but want future guests to know what their specific experience was. Like I stated, food was really good. Fresh juice, amazing. With so many options these days I like to know that I am giving the money to a good person(?). Although food is good, and they clearly have been in business for awhile, I question the commitment to quality guest service. Instead of arguing with people on yelp, maybe invite them back to share with them a real experience they will enjoy. read more

Well Lise, as for dark and not clean looking I guess the 19000 Christmas light and tree are not to your liking. Nor are the poinsettias' and Fresh Green which adorn the windows, cases and the bathroom. As for my staff apparently you again are wrong It was a busy Saturday, and yes you might have to wait a bit but coffee is set up to help yourself and all I ask is leave the attitude at the door. As for your money keep it and your time is not welcome as you do not appreciate good food or a rustic contemporary atmosphere. I Like my customers and most understand yes this is a neighborhood spot to which all are welcome. But leave you tasteless, over rated flop thoughts at the door. Good food cooked fresh to order is prepared here perhaps IHOP is more your stile. When I first moved to Lynn, I'd been living in Boston for 18yrs and knew the main spots I liked. I was looking to figure out the dining scene in Lynn when I happened upon Christopher's Cafe. The day I visited, David, the owner, greeted me with the warmest of smiles. The staff was so friendly. And I just felt at home. It's become my weekly brunch spot, and I look forward to the bottomless coffee and homely vibe this space has. Definitely highly recommended. read more

So underrated!! Definitely come here and enjoy a delicious bite to eat. I came around 2 and ordered the Western omelette, and wow was it everything I could've ever asked for and more. The home fries were delicious and the omelette was cooked to perfection. Unlimited coffee bar, which looked interesting although I didn't get any. The pastries on display also looked delicious. The breakfast that we had was well prepared. The homemade hash and home fries were excellent with strips of crisp corned beef. My only complaint was the service was friendly but so slow. Our breakfast took almost 1.5 hours and had to get up to get the bill from our waitress. If you have a lot of time to spare for breakfast you will be very satisfied with the quality. This has become my go to place. Staff Is fun and friendly, and the food rocks! If you can get a stuffed burger here do so! They have one of the best burgers ever... But the last 2 weeks they have run out... Next week I am coming prepared.. I'll bring my own chop meat and ask them to cook it! I had to "settle" for some amazing homemade corned beef hash... Home fries were GREAT my sandwich wrap was a bit lacking....two lil pieces of mushroom and two chunks of sausage, and the cheddar cheese was just slapped on like an aftermath...not even melted....this is definately not the norm.....hopefully just a few kinks with the new cooks....but my side of bacon was perfect! read more
