I came to Aprils Pub on Easter Sunday after a friend requested this place. I read the reviews before heading there and was amazed to see all the positive comments regarding this place. Parking here was in excess. Upon arriving inside, staff quickly asked my party to pick a seat and we easily found a table for four (not the booth area). Shortly after siting down, we were greeted by our waitress and not long after that, she pleasantly took our order. I had the 'Boston Omelot'. The staff at Aprils Pub was very attentive, polite and overall had great attitudes. My son also enjoyed some nice compliments from our nice waitress :) I recommend this place to anyone in the Lynn area and surrounding cities. It's small, clean, kid friendly and has great cooks! The Dominican eggs Benedict substitutes fried plantains for the English muffin and includes fried salami and fried cheese. If you do not order this menu item, please order the fried cheese. The appetizer dish comes with three slices. This appetizer is very salty and hearty to snack on while enjoying drinks or waiting for a main course. These menu items feels true to the American food theme and the Hispanic management; All of the wait staff and seen kitchen people seem to be Hispanic. The interior is dark colors with light wall decorations; the layout is part pub, with bar seating, and part family dining, with booth seating. Because I work in downtown Lynn, we go to Aprils quite often, both eat in and take out. This is a hidden gem in my opinion. They are fast, friendly, and the food is delicious. Haven't found anything I don't like. I have ordered take out dozens of times and the orders are always accurate, which considering how busy they are at lunch, is amazing!! It's a very popular eating establishment in Lynn, and it's not big enough for the flow of customers. It's usually very crowded and you would have to wait in a crowded area. My experience in this establishment was extremely less than favorable. Upon telling to the owner of this establishment that we were ready to be served, he began telling me to behave in his establishment or I would have to leave. I had said or done nothing. When I appeared confused by his accusation, he told me he heard what I said to that lady and how I disrespected her. I still do not even know what lady he was referring to. My friend that I entered with was the only person I had spoken to aside from asking the barmaid how hot the buffalo wings were, shortly after sitting down. My friend suggested that we leave. As we left some woman followed is outside and told me I was "white trash". Then she offered to kick my ass for me. My friend and I both walked away using our canes to support us. I'm 65 and he's 64. We are both disabled. "THIS MUST FALL UNDER SOME CATEGORY OF ELDER ABUSE". After spending hours wondering why this happened, I reluctantly came to the realization that we were the only white people in April's. I now feel like Rosa Parks in reverse. read more

My family and I went here before a show at Lynn Auditorium. It is a small, local place with American fare. The prices were good and the staff was very friendly! The steak tips are great and I recommend the Reuben! I wish they had more appetizers and their beer selection is limited because they don't have draft lines. In our experience, when a restaurant has such an extensive menu, best thing to do is ask what their specialty is. Not necessary in this case. We watched plates being delivered and those already served that ranged from salads to quesadillas, pasta, bacon and eggs, etc. Portions were quite large. My husband and I split the baked seafood plate with haddock, shrimp and scallops; broccoli and fries were our sides. Yes. Just yes. April's is awesome. Came here for lunch this afternoon and the menu is overwhelming, in a good way. They serve breakfast all day, which is amazing, and they have anything you could imagine on the menu. I ordered a turkey club and my dad ordered an omelet. Both were exceptional. I also ordered a Bloody Mary with bacon and it was fantastic. The only con was that they seemed a little understaffed, but the bartender (Kristen) was super friendly even under the stress of being so busy. It was mine and my friend's first time here on Sunday and I am very glad we checked it out. I had the corned beef hash eggs benedict and it was AMAZING! I wish I could have finished it because now I'm thinking back on what I didn't finish and wish I have. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I had a bloody mary, the drink of choice for Brunch and it was very refreshing and def hit the spot. I would love to go back here again for Brunch. April's is a great restaurant. Unfortunately, they use Ubereats to deliver their food. Both times, when I ordered, the driver got lost (even though my address is registered with Ubereats as I have an account.) The first time, my food was delayed, but the driver eventually found my house. The second time, the driver drove around, called me ( but couldn't understand what I was saying) and ended up bringing my food back to the restaurant. Now I have to battle with Ubereats to get a refund for the food I did not receive. Sorry, April's, but I cannot order from a restaurant that uses such an unreliable service. I am canceling my account with Ubereats. They should be ashamed. Hire drivers who know how to use their gps. read more

My boyfriend and I eat here fairly often. The food is decent, a little on the pricey side for breakfast though. He always gets an omelette. I tend to switch things up a little. Their French toast is good. I don't recommend the salami. I always get an egg breakfast with bacon, corn beef hash and sausage. The service is alright. Sometimes there are issues with waits.. if we go to pick food up sometimes we'll get ignored as the waiter is on their phone or something. If you say "20 minutes" we shouldn't have to wait 40 with no explanation and as the person is just dilly dallying. Then you get the food and it's cold. read more

Living an hour away from Lynn and having no idea where to take my 77 year old aunt who is severely handicapped and in a large wheel chair I immediately went to YELP. Having been a server/bartender for 10 years and at times a bit picky and critical the reviews were right on except it only gets 5 stars and I wish I could do 10. When I first pulled up I wasn't sure as it appeared to be just a whole in the wall bar. We'll never judge a book by its cover. It was small but very homey and clean. The servers where made aware my aunt would be joining me and made the effort to be able to accommodate the wheel chair and very nicely. I was completely blown away by how kind and sweet the servers where the whole time. Maria was our server and her young daughter was as well. They are the kindest sweetest people. Never did we feel as though we were an imposition as some places have made us feel. Polite, attentive and mostly genuine. The gentleman at the table next to us was also handicapped in an even bigger wheel chair and they took the time to actually sit with him and cut his food for him. That does not happen! The waffles and all were awesome and the prices fantastic. I could not leave before I over tipped and wrote a note on our tab to make sure Maria knew how terrific she was. As I was leaving one of the owners was kind enough to help us out with the wheel chair and let him know how impressed I was. Bar and Grill that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were seated right as we came in. Waitress was nice. The tables and bar looked clean, the menus were dirty and had some food stuck on it. Pretty decent menu. I got April's Omelet and hubby got the Boston omelet. They both tasted good, they came with "home fries" which were more like big cuts of potato, and toast. The omelets ingredients were not folded on the inside and was more of eggs with the the ingredients mixed in . We ordered the two buttermilk pancakes for my son and asked for strawberries on the side. They came with fresh cut strawberries. My.only complaint is that it came out with powdered sugar and I had to send it back as my son is super picky and likes everything plain. The waitress said, " do you want me to just put it back on the grill so it will disappear?" I said no because it will taste bad and make the pancake hard. Sure enough about 3 minutes later she brought me back the same pancakes, clearly just tossed back on the grill, the tops were hard as a rock and there was still powered sugar in the side. My hubby told me not to say anything, otherwise I would have. I found that to be a bit of bad service on their part. I mean what if my son had an allergy. And I also paid for something and expect to get what I ordered and when I specifically asked for it not to be tossed back in the grill, they did just that.
