We loved our Brothers Restaurant experience! The food was delicious and fresh. The service was amazing. We had 15 people and they served us all with ease for a Friday lunch. The restaurant style is extremely efficient and the clean dinning room can accommodate many people. Yes, my name is LJ. I got a sandwich for the first time at this establishment brothers restaurant in deli 11 Main St. Peabody mass I got the corn beef with a coleslaw on. It was supposed to have Swiss cheese on it too and then when I called back and I said there's no there was no Swiss cheese on it. He said all there was Swiss cheese on it. He lied. His name is Alex. Thanks a lot Alex for nothing. You'll never see me there again in your restaurant never in 1 million years you can't even for a first time custom you can't even put a decent amount of Swiss cheese on a corned beef sandwich. Very very sad anyway not good. If I could give zero stars I would, but I gave him one star because he was pleasant but that's about it. That's all you had to do is put some Swiss cheese on that sandwich and voilà. It would've been great but no if we got most of the most important thing, the most important thing is the Swiss cheese on that sandwich enhances the flavor you know and then I called them back on the phone and what does he say he says well next time you get a sandwich we'll put extra cheese on it. Well a lot of good that does me now just pisses me off and $15 for a sandwich. Give me a break and you get a pickle with it. $15 for a sandwich and you get a half of a pickle they couldn't even give you a whole pickle real nice huh? This place has the BEST FOOD. Best breakfast and the soups are awesome. Everything is delicious. The staff is kind and pleasant. The prices are great and there is a lot os room to sit and eat inside. The whole time my sandwich was being made the guy had no gloves on. He touched every single ingredient, even the bread and cheese with no gloves. I thought it wasn't a big deal because I know when food is cooked it kills germs but he grabbed my sandwich off the grill and placed it on my plate, held the sandwich with no gloves when he cut it in half for me. You never know how often people wash their hands, and you don't know if he touched a doorknob or his sweat or anything gross before touching my food. Food was okay but wear gloves if you're preparing someone else's food please. I have an autoimmune condition and making sure that everything is always clean is a big thing for me. I found this place because i started working nearby. Everyone would recommend them and i can see why. This small, family owned restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve A LOT and the food is really good. The staff is always friendly and with a great attitude. If I ever have doubts on what to order they help with a few suggestions and, they never fail. They are all good. The restaurant it's always clean. Great presentation of the food. In here I am eating what they call, "Turkey Dinner" it includes 2 sides so i got mine with mashed popatos, green beans and veggies. DELISH!. My other favorite is the lentil soup they cook ever Friday. They also have a desert corner. Their carrot cake is to die for. A friend and I stopped in on a Friday afternoon around 2 pm after having seen this place on a previous occasion when we were in the area. It's a cafeteria style restaurant so as we grabbed our trays and silverware a gentleman greeted us immediately and asked if he could help us. I replied that it was our first time and that we'd need a moment to review the options. He proceeded to explain the menu and describe the items that were on display. He was very patient as we pondered the many delicious choices and from what we could deduct he might be one of the owners. Being fans of the Greek lemon and chicken rice soup, we ordered a bowl of that to share and selected two entrées: the spinach pie and vegetables and the haddock and butternut squash. We didn't realize we were going to receive such a big portions. The spinach pie was excellent, loaded with spinach and not overpowering with cheese. The vegetables were very crispy and fresh, the butternut squash was creamy and delicious, since the haddock had been sitting in a warming tray, it was good but would've been outstanding had it been fresh from the oven. We were more than stuffed after devouring our lunch but had a curiosity about a Greek dessert that we have had at a Greek festival. When I went to the register to inquire if they had Galaktoboureko, they did. It was packed in a clear plastic container near the desserts and I asked if it's normally eaten heated or room temp. The first time we've ever had it, it was hot out of the oven and to die for. The Gentleman (who originally helped us) overheard me asking and jumped up from his lunch to heat un-package and split it onto 2 plates to heat for us...that's customer service to the max!! Brothers has been around for a long time for Good reason. the food is so Delicious and prepared fresh right in front of you on grill or prep table . they have a Great selection of meats and veggies potatoes squash etc on hand at the steam table. turkey club is my go to breakfast is always a hit these guys will cook you breakfast at 3pm if you want. who does that !!! everyone there makes you feel like family very friendly. and the dining room is nice with big TVs on the wall comfortable nice atmosphere. and it's clean ! somebody is always cleaning something. I've been going to The Brothers for years, but had never tried the Moussaka. The meal was so delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Everybody should come here immediately, this is some of the best food around. Get yourself a turkey club with fries, or have thanksgiving any day of the year with a turkey dinner with cranberry sauce and stuffing, the Baked Lamb dinner with mash potatoes and gravy is off the charts good, exceptionally good chicken pie, amazing spinach pie. Roast beef dinner, there is an amazing turkey or roast beef club sandwich which you have to try, meatloaf and chicken dinners, lemon rice chicken soup, beef stew every kind of desert, I would say get the chocolate cake or the rice pudding or anything else you see it is all very good. You can get take out or grab a tray and get served from the dinner items which come with 2 side dishes or get fresh from the grill food quick caffeteria style which is really great just pull up get your food and sit down and enjoy it no long times and waits you are sitting down and eating within like 5-10 minutes of walking in the place which is amazing. Every kind of breakfast and grill item is there, 3 eggs over easy with sausage toast coffee omlettes of every kind all there. The people there are all really amazing and nice and the cooks are off the charts good. I love the local restaurants run by hard working individuals. Brothers had counter ordering, and if your item wasn't complete before you finished the line they would bring it out to you. On the plus side, the portions were huge. Large sandwiches mounded over the top with fries if you ordered them and giant salads if you ordered the large (I only got about two thirds of the way through the Greek salad) -- definitely enough for two meals. The grilled chicken was very tasty on the Greek salad. Everyone in the group seemed satisfied if not overly enthusiastic with their meal. The couple things that were less awesome were the fountain sodas being behind the counter and the rotating electronic menu boards. I'm a big fan of free refills; I didn't ask so I can't say they wouldn't give you one, but it is generally a refill if it is self serve but not if behind the counter. The electronic boards cycled through the menu which made it tough on an impatient first timer. There was probably a paper copy around somewhere but I must have missed it. Probably a place I would give 3 1/2 stars if that was an option, but a solid three for sure. read more

I understand everyone is stressed during this pandemic, but the service I was received was disrespectful. When the woman asked what my order was I repeated it. She told it was wrong even though what I wrote in my text order was clear. Her attitude was horrendous. She raised her voice, told me to be quiet and pointed her finger at me. The order was also 25 minutes late. I got no apology when she took my money either. The staff were wearing masks around their necks, but not covering their mouth and nose. Currently, that's a public health hazard given the pandemic. It is also against the governor's order. read more

Pretty good food, but almost always the wrong order or items missing. Today, i did not receive the chicken on my Greek salad. The order was placed over the phone for a delivery. It was pretty clear from our conversation, but totally understand it happens. The salad was super fresh and made w/ romaine per my request, but no chicken. The spinach pie looked great, but super dried out. When i called to let them know, the gal (perhaps older gal) asked me how much I paid for the salad. I told her I'm not sure as I just tipped the driver $5 on the amex receipt and left the copies with him. She seemed annoyed & asked for my phone # to call me back b/c she would have to go through her list of receipts. I told her I would not be available for a callback, as my day is completely filled with calls, but if you see a discrepancy, please adjust my cc. She said, "my day is busy to" and hung up on me. #truestory As a result of this rude and unkind behavior, I will never visit Brothers Peabody again. Good riddance. read more

Ordered from brothers deli on main st at 4:05. Food just arrived at 5:15. I was told it would be 35 minutes. My husband ordered his from a different place and was told the same amount of time. His arrived within the 35 minutes. Now I get restaurants can run behind but.... Mine took wayyyy longer than it should have. I called 50 minutes after I initially called and the woman said it was on its way. Well another 25 minutes went by so I called again and asked for my money back. The woman that answered said I needed to talk with the owner. The owner refused to get on the phone with me and started screaming in the background saying "tell her to go fu(k her self" over and over. What kind of business owner speaks to customers this way?!? I was pissed off when I called but I wasn't being super rude. More so aggravating. I can't believe how I was just treated. My husband finished his food way before mine showed up. I guess they just reopened in their old location and I am so glad they did after being closed for many years. I don't think these are the old owners but these people are doing an awesome job. I had the baked lamb with squash and roasted potatoes, absolutely delicious. My wife had breakfast, scrambled eggs, bagel and cream cheese, everything was excellent. Service is wicked quick and the folks behind the counter could not be more helpful and nice. I was almost hesitant to write this review for fear the next time I go the line will be out the door but fair is fair and these folks deserve to be recognized. The guy who owns this place is a jerk. At the Brothers in Danvers I always order a souvlaki sandwich, so I figured they had it here. I ordered and he freaked and said loudly , we don't have that!!!! This restaurant is...."too cool for school" the first thing that I noticed is the general feel of the restaurant....it is quiet....very warm and friendly.....the staff is very polite and NOT pushy....you feel that you are not being hustled....there are NO tacky decorations on the walls....everything in this restaurant is brand new....the restaurant is IMMACULATE.....you look through the deli glass window at the food and EVERYTHING is so clean....all the food is fresh !!! The food is high quality and the prices are very low....SO much dollar value....there are NO high prices in this restaurant !!! The portions are so generous....the food is very tasteful....I am 100% Greek so I know good Greek food.....there is plenty of parking....if I have a pet peeve ......it is paying high prices for food in a restaurant and getting really small portions....so do yourself a favor and walk in this place to check it out...trust me....you will be a happy camper !!!! read more
