Absolutely awful! Do not use this company! First spray was okay but bugs were unaffected. So made an appointment sooner. They completely no showed. Finally called back a week later and they couldn't fit me in another 4 weeks. the guy shows up and does 1/4 of our service and leaves. so I've now paid- $99 intro fee $179 first spray $179 second spray which was incomplete $199 to cancel service early because I'm so unhappy with their crappy service. a giant waste of money that I don't have to lose! We have had this service done a few times done on our property without an issue . This morning we received an abrupt text message at 6:30 AM that they will be arriving shortly; please note there was no notice in advance of when they would arrive at all . When we asked why we weren't advised he stated they just "show up" without letting the customer know & would we like to reschedule. We proceeded to still have them arrive to complete the service. Upon arrival we addressed the associate in regards to the phone call regarding the issue of not being notified in advance of their arrival and their rudeness and hostility . The associate named "Ever" said he doesn't need to do the service & if we still want it after the horrible customer service . We told him no and he left abruptly. We asked for his managers information and stated he doesn't have it and asked for his full name to report this issue and he refused . This associate with a horrible attitude is the reason why we will no longer continue business or refer you to others. PLEASE BE AWARE! This "pest control" company is a SCAM! They are spraying vinegar and water and calling it pesticide. We unfortunately fell victim to them. When they came out for the first treatment we noticed the vinegar smell,but assumed it was the chemicals. After a few days we still had the same issues with the insects, nothing changed. The second treatment was the worse because the vinegar order was very strong. I called the company to cancel the sevice and they had the audacity to refuse to cancel the contaract. Fraudulent contracts. I signed a PRO contract for 18 months or 9 services. They have provided me with the BASIC level of services while I have paid a PRO level price. None of the additional items in the PRO package have ever been provided even after mentioning that they were needed. We still have rodents outside and flies everywhere, both of which are covered in the PRO level contract. I signed my contract on 6/20/23 and they claim that the contract was downgraded to the basic plan on 6/18/23, two days before I had ever heard of this company. I was looking at finding a new pest control company and a salesman from Aptive made a door to door call. We had been suffering with mosquitoes in the back yard for several weeks and he sold me a miracle cure so I signed up. Their treatments have done nothing and maybe made the situation worse. Contacted the company and they said it would take multiple weeks which is not the impression I was given and will coincide with late fall when mosquitoes die away anyway. Therefore I have just paid for a situation that nature would anyway cure. On top of that, the pricing is convoluted and when the technician arrived, she basically explained that I will be paying twice the amount I thought I had signed up for. Unfortunately I signed up for a 2 year contract so am basically screwed. A bad situation all around and on that I am going to keep paying for until 2026! The only pests here are the company and their door to door salesman. First came around in the middle of a workday. Kept talking over me while I told him I just wasn't interested. Made up fake names of neighbors, tried to get me into some monthly contract. He showed my some Forbes review that they are the best company, a 4.8/5 review on google. I need to verify all this now. Finally slammed the door on him. That wasn't the end of it. The guy shows up at 7:30 pm, banging my door while I'm getting my kids into bed and promising a one time exclusive offer. HORRIBLE SERVICE ALL AROUND. The service is inconsistent. I had one technician come out and performed the service and I didn't notice a difference with the issue I was having. The second technician came out and I noticed that a few steps were done that were not performed the last time. After that the service went back to not being done as thoroughly. No one was home when the last service that was done so they just did the front walkway. NOTHING INSIDE THE HOUSE OR THE BACK YARD!!!!! I was fed up with Aptive and emailed them to take the last payment and cancel. Common sense tells you half the work was done so half the payment should be paid. A few weeks later I get a letter because my account had been sent to collections. I called and was told that they didn't take the payment because my account had been closed. I had clearly stated to take the payment and cancel so I did my part to make sure no loose ends were left. Why am I in collections when they dropped the ball. The representative I was on the phone with said she had talked to a supervisor and was told to take the account off the collections list but I still had to pay the amount for a full service. I don't know if Aptive is aware but charging for services that were not performed is wrong and UNLAWFULL. The service techs for Aptive Environmental have always been great. It's Customer Service center and webportal that are unacceptable. It is so hard to get contact them and much less to accept a request for re-treatment. But they keep billing and offer no reasonable way out of the contract. I finally had to report them to the BBB. See my report below: I have been a residential customer of Aptive Environmental pest control for over 1 year. One of the main selling points of their service is that they include a satisfaction guarantee to come back out to retreat areas they miss or where pests may still be a problem. When I first started the service i was able to contact them (~once) to get a re-service. Since then, it has been impossible to contact them for service. Their main number plays audio prompts to put the caller in queue and then it just repeatedly disconnects!! I have tried to call them numerous times over the past 4 months. The prompts also suggest trying their web portal to schedule services. After completing all information to schedule service on the web portal, it repeatedly just circled me back to home screen or otherwise fails. This all seems very intentional to prevent the cost of their "guaranteed" satisfaction retreat-service. Now, It seems impossible to get ahold of them and I cannot cancel the service because of the contract and with autobill all set up. How can I be held to contract and not them! Deceptive pricing practices. They will lie to you and give you a different contract. $200 cancelation fee is no joke. They promise you a low price for the life of the contract but when they bill you it will be a different one. They bury the details so you end up paying more. If you complain they give you a "discount" but it's just a lower fee at a higher recurring rate (regardless of service) so you end up paying the same and potentially more if you delay any service. Just had the creepiest aggressive cold call sales person ring my doorbell for Aptive Pest Control. He was on his iPad as I opened the door and took about 10 seconds to acknowledge that I was standing there. Also, he didn't speak, but just stared at me until I finally prompted him with "can I help you?" I am not a rude person, but this guy would not take my first polite "no thank you" nor my more direct "I'm not interested" and continued talking even after I closed the door on him. It honestly crossed my mind that he could have been a scammer and scouting my house. Looking online there is a lot of controversy about the legitimacy of this company. So for one: the service makes zero difference as many people have already stated. The flies, mosquitoes, and all other insects their service says to eliminate are still around. Secondly, when I tried to cancel for my parents, they refused to allow me to do so stating that it had to be the account holder to terminate service...ok, valid. What is unacceptable, and the main reason for this poor review, is for them to dismiss my Spanish-speaking father due to the language barrier and proceed to transfer him to Terminix, a company that claims to have ZERO association with Aptive and thus, has no access to their accounts. What was the purpose of that?! I am under the impression that they were doing their best to make this process as difficult as possible for my father with limited English to succeed. After about six unsuccessful attempts at reaching a customer service representative, my dad finally drove to their Corona office where a representative supposedly cancelled the service but couldn't "print out the confirmation cancellation" for a reason that he couldn't give me. The local Aptive salesman arrived at our door, and made a compelling sales pitch. Part of that sales pitch involved waiving the initial service fee plus a significant discount on our bi-monthly payment. There was an extensive list of service promises, so we figured we'd give it a chance. To Aptive's credit, the technician arrived on time, provided a thorough initial service, and connected with us when it was complete. The technician was kind, thoughtful and helpful. But then the wheels came off. Within 30 minutes we were charged $400 for a service that was supposed to be free. I contacted our sales rep who said it would be taken care of, but the withdrawal from our account was neither canceled nor replaced. Our salesperson, as a way to "make things right" then quoted me a new bi-monthly 'friends and family' discount we would receive moving forward. That price was actually HIGHER than the initial quote. Moreover, they still attempted to charge us a fee for the initial service which we were told was free. All told it took multiple phone calls and then 7 days to get our funds returned. I have used Aptive for a couple years now and have been happy with their basic service. Was offered a free termite inspection which I took them up on. Sales guy showed me photos of my stumps in back yard with supposed termite signs--I went out to look after I finished working and his photos were off the Internet, they were not photos of anything on my property. They wanted to schedule the service inside my 3-day recision window and I said to do it a week later. They scheduled it anyway, so I cancelled and had Terminix come do an inspection and you guessed it, no termite signs. The Terminix guy has had 3 calls in the last two weeks like mine wanting a second opinion, I called and fired Aptive right away. Not an honest business. read more

Like every reviewers here, I had the same very bad experience. Do not talk to these people when they banged on your door. We were coerced to sign the electronic agreement. It turned out that the service they promised is totally different than what they had promised. We still have a lot of pest issues and when we called the company, they said we have to have 3 services within 3 months and would charge us over $135 for each time in order to get rid of the issues where our previous service provide guaranteed the service and would return to treat our house without charges. Upon hearing that, we canceled the service. Then the company told us that we owed them $199 for canceling the service early. This is not the way to do business by scamming people into signing contracts and then charge them for cancellation. Please do not fall into their trap. read more
