Stay away from this company. They do not spray where they are supposed to, check the traps or even put things back if they move it. Horrible customer service. We have quarterly service through them. They never give you a time frame or window. They give you a text usually 2 days before service, but they do not give a time. Katie who I spoke with today tells me the system is automated and that they cannot give time frames. She asked me if I wanted the a 30 minute text from the technician before he arrives. She sauid the technician could arrive anytime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. . That is unacceptable!!!!!!!! I asked her what good is a text 30 minutes ahead if I'm at work and not able to come home and unlock my gate? Katies response was, "well, just leave it unlocked all day". WTH? I do not leave my gate unlocked for anyone. Especially since the first guy from Aptive didn't even close the gate and we were home! Katie kept apologizing hen proceeded to ask if I wanted to prepay for our service today. SERIOUSLY!!!!!! I am have the contact name and number of their general area manager and will be cancelling. This company had a very pushy salesman cold-call my door today on July 4th as I was preparing to receive friends for a BBQ. After politely saying I wasn't interested multiple times he kept ignoring my request to leave, and I eventually had to ask him to get off my property but even then he kept wanting to show me prices. I will never use this insane company to do any work on my property, their training of sales people is just awful and their prices are almost as ridiculous. Pathetic. read more

Aptive sold my wife a bill of goods regarding pest control service. Introduction service was to be only $50. Wife gave a check for the $50 service. Had one service on time. Subsequent services were postponed, cancelled, or a no show. Tried to talk with company via phone; was told someone would respond. No one did. Talked with area manage after receiving bill for $50. showed our check copy. Because of poor follow up from company tried to cancel. Continued to get bills for $50, then the bill increased to $199. Wrote a second check for $50 (original stated amount) which was cashed by company. Now company has engaged bill collection agency for $199. I'm sorry to say this about this company because I had such high hopes for them however... We asked specifically for treatment for fleas as we moved into this house where the prior owner apparently did not know of their existence. The fleas that is. There's definitely an infestation. And although we've had three treatments so far we still have all the fleas. We also have the large black ants, centipedes, and all other manner of pests. We swear they are spraying just water. Really disappointing! We set up initial appointment agreeing on one treatment then a hour later I get a detailed contract in my email with my signature in several places which was a signature font since I didn't sign anything. I tried calling the representative and left a voicemail about it but no return call. I called the customer service line which they were helpful, apologized for forged contract, and cancelled the contract. Most of the complaints are about sales... I wasn't here when they knocked on the door but they were good enough to sell it to my boyfriend... couldn't have been all that bad... LOL ... my first question when I found out was about the dogs and how safe it would be around them... The team told me it was safe but I needed to keep my dogs out of the areas until fully dried - I gave it a good 2 to 3 hours to be safe... My dogs were never sick. I also got a print out of the ingredients and did my own research... All ingredients safe around dogs once dried. Nothing bad to say... Looking forward to my scheduled treatments. read more

The sales person is high pressure salesman. I ended up signing up to try their service, being told I could cancel. They came the next day and sprayed for wasps and the wasp problem seemed to get worse after they sprayed. I was told I get a 50 dollar discount for the first treatment which was true however I was also told I could cancel anytime. If I were to cancel I would have to pay the 50 dollar discount back. Just got charged 200 dollars to cancel because in the contract it says I would have to cancel within 3 days from the initial treatment. I have just concluded my 1 year contract with them, and cancelled my contract. The service was fine, and we haven't had ants or spiders for a year. When I had to reschedule a visit, their office was quick to respond and professional. My reason for cancelling was the price. They work hard on soliciting, and a year ago they knocked on my door and I went for the sales pitch which was very professional and polished. The price seemed good at the time, but after my first bill arrived I got the feeling that this wasn't quite the way it was sold to me. Now a year later I have combed Yelp extensively and found that their price really is high. You can find much better deals with a little effort on Yelp. Today, I was scheduled a visit from the service technician. I was home all day for I am a retired senior. No one came nor called. Yet, I was billed for the service and invoice stated he came and treated for indoor and outdoor issues. When I called customer service she insisted that he came as I continued to state he did not come and treat my home. She went as far as to ask, what color was my home. Although she offered and scheduled another technician to come another day I declined. Why? Because after talking to her further, telling her it was truly an inconvenience for me, she did not apologize or understand me as a customer. Really upsetting encounter with their aggressive/predatory door-to-door sales guy. I suspect they must be sending these young guys out and not paying them commission unless they sign people up for their services. Used the classic "your neighbors-insert name here- just signed up with us - did they tell you I'd be coming?" When I insisted I didn't have an insect problem nor need their services the guy kept pushing. I feel bad for vulnerable older folks who fall for this nonsense. This happened 8/17/21 and the guy wasn't even wearing a mask standing very close to my front door. I can't believe how assertive I had to be just to get him to go away. This company is unorganized. From day one I had nothing but issue after issue. The would book multiple appointments emailing and texting that they were coming out, randomly). Them after speaking with them and setting up an appointment no one showed up and they blamed it on the automated system saying it was canceled. If this company comes around your neighborhood DON'T do business with them. The communication with in this company is very bad! They will try to sell you on an service that only CONTROLS the bugs and spiders not GET RID of them. They 1st explain that they are going to use this web stuff to get rid of spider webs(keep them away as well) and this special mesquite traps to take care of the mesquites. However, when the tech comes out without the special web care which he didn't mention he didn't use until I asked and then told me he had been asking for it for a while(which sounded like weeks to me). They also said they would put granulars in the grass to help with the bugs and ants. That made me wonder about if this was done as well. No telling how many other people this happened to if they couldn't restock one truck. That made me ask more about the mesquite repellent that's as well. The way the sales guy explained it to me was that it's this special trap that would take care of that problem then the tech explains it to be fly paper like. So of course why would I want to pay extra for that if I can do something like that myself. So I called them and let them know and then they offered to come back out and spray for the mesquites and then explained that you had to use the spray WITH their special trap in order to get rid of them. Their boss actually was in the area and stopped and we talked about the frustration of not having good communication. They told me that it would take 3-6 months for the bugs and spiders to be knocked down a lot more. When they came out and sprayed both times it seemed as if more bugs were coming out. So they came back out and sprayed and they did not put the mesquite trap out again(which was paid for). So I called them and let them know that I didn't want to continue with a company that's not going to keep their WORD about their service. I talked to the sales guy that came out to us originally and he said that it was not right to pay for a service that was not being done as well and that he would talk to his boss and get back to me. He never returned my phone call. Then almost a week goes by and they don't return my phone call and charge my account $199.00. When a person signs up for an (CONTRACT SERVICE) that company is saying they will follow through and do the job they promised they would provide and the person receiving the service would follow through with their payment arrangement right??? We were having some issues with ants in early summer and had a couple of wasp and/or hornets nest on our roof eaves. I was going to look into some pest control, but the Aptive group was out in our neighborhood doing some door-to-door selling. I'm not one for door-to-door sales people, but they did a great job of explaining their services and never felt pressured to sign up. I ended up signing up and glad I did. Mike came back the next day, explained what he was going to do, reviewed our contract and went to work. He cleaned all of the cobwebs, wasp/hornets nest and sprayed the exterior of the house in about 45 minutes. We continued to see ants in our bathroom and kitchen and saw some mouse droppings and called them back out. They were there the next day did some additional spraying and placed some sticky mouse traps and a couple rat traps in the garage. Two days later, mouse is caught in the trap. No more mice. We continued to see ants in the kitchen and bathroom and on the next regular visit they placed some bait in both areas and now we have no more ants. These guys have done a great job. Love their service and responsiveness. Highly recommend them. read more

Similar feedback to others on here in CA. I live near the opposite coast in Central PA. A couple days ago an Aptive salesman knocked at my door and gave a bunch of jargon of his own. Youg guy claimed the company was in the area and had already gotten over a dozen other houses on the street to buy into their scheme. I was skeptical but willing to lend an ear as the bugs have been more aggressive this year. In the middle of his talk, that started getting too fluffy, I decided that I wasn't initially impressed but wanted to get more info. on their services via a card or website. He declined having a card. This was a flag and I was about to say politely that I was not interested when my wife chimed up behind me a loud "Thanks but we're good!" and I told him the same. He asked why and I just said we're good and thanks but he persisted. Between my repeated "no thanks's" and my wife's additional shouts to "please leave" he still persisted and I ended up closing the door in his face. I noticed him sort of do a "duck and cover" move with his clipboard while darting down our front steps as I closed the door. I don't know whether he was expecting me to start pulling out a gun or was afraid I had caught on to a scam. As I read more of these 1-stars, I feel it's more the latter. If you have to be a door-to-door salesman to make ends meet, I get the frustration of people telling you "no" more than "yes" to your service or product. At the same time, being aggressive and not taking no for an answer (spoken at least a dozen times in 10 seconds) then don't expect my business, let alone me not telling others about your rude tactics. read more

DISHONEST COMPANY. Young man knocked my door and tried hard to get business. So I signed up for service every 3 month. But this company uses shortening days trick. They charged me 4 times in less than 6 months. 12/21/2020 (2 mo 17 days) 10/3/2020 (1 mo, 23 days) 8/10/2020 (1 mo, 9 days) 7/1/2020 (First Service) I sent a complaining email after October service. They replied by saying set my next service in Feb 2021. But another they showed up yesterday and charged me again. I sent another email to close my account yesterday. They relied asking to pay $224 for discounts I received in those 4 services. I do not like how they shorten days to gain more and trying charge more for cancelling service. read more
