Sadly, i was happy customer for a year, then, it all went downhill. That's why im giving 2 stars, for the good months we had. Now it's really bad. Let me explain: I'm having a rodents problem. They set a trap. i'm supposed to call every time a rodent falls, so they come and dispose it at replace the bait. I call and they set the appointment for 10 days after!, because "they will not be in the area until that day" What? I pay you on time regardless that i'm in town or not. I called several times to try to fix this. The only thing i got from them was getting the service canceled without notice and a dead rat for 13 days and counting. read more

First, I wish I had read the reviews before signing up with this company. Second, wish I had fully read the contract. I called to let them know that my card had been canceled as it had been used without my knowledge to purchase airline tickets. I did not wish to give them another card number as I just didn't feel comfortable doing that. Offered to pay in cash but they would not accept that, they wanted $228 to cancel their contract although I only had two more visits totaling $178 remaining. They went round and round till in the end I offered to pay $178 by check which I will mail to pay for the next two visits in September and December after that they are never to contact me again. They aren't up front with payments. They say they come when they didn't. They just want to extort money from hard working people. They leave "service invoices" for you with the worker who came- none of which we saw, and then on the invoice they leave ZERO details. On August 25th I signed a two year contract with Aptive and received a $120 discount. If I cancel the contract I have to pay back the $120. The representative came out on August 25th and I paid the $129. They then scheduled a follow-up for September 25th for which they charged me another $129, I was unaware that they were going to charge me another $129. I just let it go. Then on November 25th they scheduled a quarterly visit for yet another $129. You do the math. That is three visits in three months. Sorry, that is not quarterly. I canceled, so I owe Aptive a cancellation fee of $120. They are scam artists. They offer a discount but schedule all those appointments at $129 to recover that so-called discount. The math doesn't add up. That results in six appointments in the first year. I will find a more ethical pest control company to take care of the Black Widow spiders, ants and scorpions. I will pay the $120 cancellation fee but I will not recommend Aptive Environmental to anyone, nor will I use them ever again. Update - After reviewing the account Aptive did reverse the bill for the discount and I did not have to pay it. read more

Salesman came to the door in the evening time. I am new to the area just moved in. Salesperson explained how they were spraying at neighbors due to bug issues. Told him I spray myself. He said it would not cost that much more for them to do it only a few dollars. I explained I only pay about $20 for the gallon. He said yes so you have to replace it about every 2 months and I said probably not even that. So he said if you go with us it would only be just a few dollars more. $20 times 6 months is a $120. He kept quoting me it would be $99 plus $15 to do the spraying that night. Again I repeated so it's $99 for a year plus the 15 so the total I am going to be paying for a year is just over a $100 no hidden fees. He agreed when the gentlemen came to actually do the Spraying and I had to sign the paperwork it was clearly in there that it was $99 a quarter not a year. I canceled immediately within an hour with the sales person that was here we a text also have sent emails. I now get an email back saying I have to call in when it clearly states it can be done in writing and you are to email it to them directly. Still waiting for this to be canceled. Try to play on the words when they give you the pricing do not appreciate that at all read more

I DO NOT recommend this company at all! They say satisfaction guaranteed. However, when you're not satisfied and choose to cancel they charge you. I gave them the 3 chance and you're out rule. Mess up 3 times and yes I will cancel. After I canceled they sent me an email saying someone was coming to spray my house. Our experience with Aptive has been great. Yes, it was initially a door to door salesman, but, really, what better way to drum up business? The salesman was kind and very up front with the costs of service. We agreed upon a quarterly amount to pay and they agreed to spray outside and inside (if we want) once every three months. We had a ridiculous ant problem upon moving in to our house and, once Aptive sprayed, the ants were gone. The serviceman explained proper pet procedure as we have 2 small dogs. When we discovered a rodent problem, we made one call and Aptive came out to assist with the matter. The serviceman checked our attic, garage, and any crevices we wouldn't even think to check. He set traps and even opted against setting traps in certain places because he didn't want our pets to get injured. Guess what? No more rodents! We've been using Aptive for over a year now and could not be happier. In fact, just today I noticed some ants outside our house, presumably due to all the recent rainfall. I made a call to Aptive and spoke to the very friendly Christine. A serviceman will be here tomorrow morning to spray. Aptive sets a small window to expect the serviceman and, if you request, he'll call 30 minute prior to arriving so you know when to expect him. So, for over a year now we've seen no spiders, roaches, and very little ants. Our rodent problem is solved and if we need a touch up, all it takes is a phone call to a super friendly Aptive associate. I think Aptive is efficient and affordable. read more

If you use this outfit, you'll subject all your neighbors to soliciting annoyances. Everytime they service you, they will go all over your neighborhood knocking on doors soliciting new business. Very pushy, have to told no at least 3 times. They keep coming back even in no-soliciting neighborhoods. Want your neighbor to think you sick? Use these guys, that will do it. read more

Had a door to door salesman come this morning saying they spray in my neighborhood and are giving specials. I let him talk and got quotes but then told him I'd call later because I don't want the services today...asked for a business card and he did not have one. Asked for his name and number so I could call later if we decided we were interested. I called the company number, from google, trying to verify if he is an employee and they weren't able to see because "they have so many people." So then the woman just pushed me to get a quote, which I agreed so I could speak with someone else to try and verify who he was. Spoke with this person and told him what happened and then I asked if he could give me the quotes to see if they matched what the sales rep gave me...and they were different. So I pointed that out and was told "oh, they sometimes do that, sounds like he did a good job!" And I said "uh, so where's the money going to then if you don't have set rates?" And he skirted by that question and tried to get me to sign up. I declined and asked be transferred to the local office and never got through and was rerouted back to the 1-844 number. We have a quarterly service with Aptive and I had to call them out in between services to come get a rat that was caught in a trap under our outdoor BBQ. They had someone come out the very next day which I appreciated as my dogs were already curious about what was in there. Thomas was very courteous during his visit. He had even called me upon arrival to let me know that he was there so that I could unlock my back gate. He worked quickly and thanked me for calling them. Now that's great service! read more

I want to start this review by saying my dissatisfaction is not with the people who actually service our home. The actual service people that come out do a good job. My dissatisfaction has to do with the company and the changes that have been made in making appointments. They used to call to make their appointments. Now, you get an email or text late afternoon or evening the day before they are going to come out. When you try to call to let them know you can't do it that day you are on hold for over 25 minute then get put to a voice machine. When leaving a voice message you don't get a call back. This has happened to me twice so it is not an isolated problem. I left a message stating we could not have it done the next day and to call me to reschedule. We were out of town and the service person showed up the next day and we had to talk to him through our Ring doorbell to explain we had tried to call and left a message. I was very satisfied with this company until these changes. If it is not resolved with a different system for making appointments and if they don't provide the ability to talk to someone, we will be changing to a different pest control company. read more

I strongly urge you to not use this company whatsoever at all. It has been nothing but problems since we started with them. If I could give less than one star rating I would. They schedule for services and never show up. When you call because no one showed up there's clearly a scramble to try and figure out what happened. The products they use do not kill the bugs; they draw them out? We had pest control service for years and had no serious bug problems just the guy retired and we were looking for a new company. Whatever they sprayed at my house that draws out the bugs created an infestation inside the home. When I spoke to the customer representative she said they would come back every two weeks if we needed until the situation was resolved. Had they used a good product, not whatever inferior product they use, The situation would've never happened. The final straw was my inquiry to buy out my contract and they just took the money out of my account with no permission or authorization from me. read more

Highly recommend Aptive! You will receive a text the day before service as a reminder and they always come out as scheduled. I always see dead critters after service, so their product actually works.
