    Caprina pizza

Amazing environment, the food was delicious!! The service was fast. We got the spaghetti Enzo, caprina pizza, maestro pizza and Margherita pizza all 10/10!!! It's great because it's not super touristy and not super overwhelming with people/wait time etc. just got chill people and a good time. Outdoor and indoor seating available!

Apulia is hands down the best restaurant in Hoboken. The food here is the closest you'll get to authentic Italian food without actually being in Italy. Everything is phenomenal from the pasta, pizza, chicken dishes, appetizers and salads you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Beyond the food, the service is excellent. The servers are great, and the owners are just as welcoming, which really adds to the experience. If you're in Hoboken and like Italian food, you have to go here. Easily the best spot in town and a place I'll keep coming back to with family and friends for years to come.

I've lived in Hoboken for 5 years and this was (regrettably) my first time at apulia. We came with some friends for a light dinner and drinks and it didn't disappoint. The uccelletti and caprina pizza specifically stood out. Each dish had such an amazing and unique flavor profile and all of the ingredients felt so fresh. Although we ate a lot, we didn't leave feeling uncomfortably full. The service was great as well. Although the drinks took a little longer than expected to come out, they were worth the wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat out back by the wall with the growing vines and felt like we were in a small town in Italy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will absolutely be back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food, drinks, service, ambiance and hospitality at Apulia![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started off with espresso martini and Prosecco - great way to start the dinner Upon our server's recommendation we went ahead with lemon basil pasta and vegetable pizza. I loved the lemon flavor in basil pasta. There are many vegetarian options available here. I want to try cacio e pepe as that was also in my list. But me and my friend were full after a pizza and pasta. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved sitting outside in the backyard on a summer evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is amazing here. They took an extra mile with that respect. I would definitely come back to this place.

Ordered: Glass of Rose is a Rose (~$13): Cantrina Valtenesi, Sicily Calamari Fritti (~$21): ocean caught Polpette di Nonna Angelina Curci (~$19): beef meatballs Margherita Pizza (~$18) Lemon Basil Pesto Linguine (~$23): lemon, basil, pine nuts, pecorino, parmigiana Aya's take: Apulia seems to be a spot known & liked by Hoboken locals. Even on a weeknight, a majority of the tables inside were taken so I'm glad we were able to snag one without waiting. We started with the Calamari Fritti and Polpette (meatballs). The Calamari Fritti turned out to be my favorite item of the night. The calamari was unbelievably tender, the breading was light and fried to a golden brown, and the drizzle of lemon on top really brought out those great flavors. It was so addicting and kudos to them for also including the tentacles. The Polpette was a good try but didn't really stand out to me. It was a good source of protein considering the other 2 dishes we were waiting on didn't have much. The Margherita Pizza was well-executed from the thin crust to the cheesiness to the fresh tomatoes and basil. It was a solid pizza. The Lemon Basil Pesto Linguine had no essence of lemon at all. The pesto was bright, fresh, and herby, I liked the pine nuts, and the linguine was al dente but it was missing something! It could have used that lemon or garlic to contrast the pesto flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was fresh, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the art on the walls was awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good try!

My favorite on the menu: shrimp with Artichoke

One of the best dining experiences in New Jersey -- thanks to Jessie! Hands down one of the best service experiences I've ever had! Jessie was absolutely amazing...super friendly, attentive, and knew the menu inside out. He made a few food recommendations and every single one was spot-on... seriously mouthwatering delicious! You can tell he genuinely cares about giving guests a great experience. It was so good we came back the very next day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was packed (as always), but they still managed to fit us at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sadly, the bar server wasn't quite as sweet and the food recs didn't hit the same. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is super cute: cozy, romantic, and full of charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Between the ambience, the food, and Jessie's incredible service, this spot is a total gem.

The chicken with Prosciutto di Parma Panino, absolutely delicious! Great value and your tastebuds will thank you.

Once again another amazing dining experience!!! Great cocktails (bar selection is incredible) The appetizers were not only delicious but the portions were generous. Our server was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Main course did not disappoint, very flavorful and done to perfection. This place is well worth a try and will probably become your next favorite!!

    Tiramisu - very good!

Haven't been here in a long time and wanted to go back to check it out! Glad we did! Excellent meal! We loved the service and food was very good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a huge outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything tasted fresh and was perfect to share! We had salad, burrata (special), pizza and tiramisu. So good!! Thank you for the great evening!

Here's the deal: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Apulia is a neighborhood spot and good for a date night if yin get there on the earlier side, some younger families enjoying the delicious Neapolitan pizza[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a small outdoor dining section on Washington St.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]inside has a small bar area where a full menu is available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender was very helpful with the menu and is great at recommending cocktails! They're true mixologists and have some wild combinations to try! The main room offers tables for parties of 2-6 people. and leads to a back outdoor room ( it may be closed it?) but it looks like a good spot for a larger private diner party) The food was incredible: not shown are the delicious calamari & eggplant appetizers!! The pizza was a seasonal special of butternut squash & caramelized onion OUTSTANDING! Definitely recommend and will be back again

When in Hoboken -Apulia. This was our first time here for dinner with our Son and Daughter-in-law. At first I was disappointed as I thought we were going to our favorite Turkish restaurant in Paterson. Well thank God we didn't. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue is fantastic. Beautiful "just the right size" dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very attentive. He was friendly and helped us decide what wine to select. The food was absolutely delicious! I wanted the pizza but was deterred by the chicken pallard (forgot the actual name check-out the menu) - loved it. My kids and wife ordered 3 different pastas that were made to perfection. The calamari fritti, some of the best I've ever had! Fresh and crispy not oily. The table next to us ordered two pizzas. OMG did they look great. Should have had the pizza. Going back for the pizza!

My favorite Italian spot in hoboken with cozy and charming ambiance. The food tastes like it's from Europe with clean great quality. Highly recommend !

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had the pleasure of sitting outside in their back patio section. It's cozy and cool ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was spot on! Great pizza and I believe the pasta is fresh made.

Pizza was awesome here I will definitely go back and try the other food that they have but I can say that the pizza does tend to be a little floppy. You just have to ask for it well done.

First impression of the restaurant, there is a lot of seating and everyone was nice! We didn't know we came for happy hour so that was a happy surprise, we ended up ordering the shrimp app on the happy hour menu and it was DELICIOUS, then we got the spicy rigatoni with grilled and breaded chicken. Also AMAZING! Talk about huge portions, honestly we should have shared (rookie mistake on our part) but the portions for the money is such a good deal. We had a lot of left overs we can't wait to eat this week! We will for sure be back to try everything else on the menu.

My friend who lives in Hoboken gave me a few options for Italian restaurants and Il Taviola took reservations, had space for us, and had a very good menu at decent prices. I had thought I had never been to Il Taviola before. But the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was like, well, actually I have been here before and I just straight up forgot. Woops. Well, it was a pleasant surprise to be back and I actually had an even better time this time than last time. I had the spicy chicken parm with rigatoni and wow, it was actually quite spicy. It was really good, but super spicy! My SFIL absolutely loved it though and killed the rest of my dish that I couldn't finish. Most of the group had the lamb ragu orecchiette and thought it was quite good. Both burrata appetizers were really good and thoroughly liked by the table. Service was attentive and we were never rushed. I really enjoyed that the restaurant wasn't super crowded. There were other tables but they were far away enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other.

We were super impressed with Otto Strada. We arrived early on a Friday and were happy there was no wait. Reservations are not accepted. We chose outside seating and we got a lovely seat in the shade under the covered area. We were greeted by Jeremy who offered us water. He was friendly and we had a nice conversation. He was new with the restaurant, but knew the menu well. It's nice to see a young man working and have pride in his job. Our waiter Chris arrived soon after. He was a great waiter. He was also super friendly and was able to help us navigate the menu and helped me with Gluten free options. We opted for the pear salad. I got a limoncello chicken and my husband got a pork chop. All the food was super delicious. It's a challenge for me to get a good meal being gf and dairy free now and this was perfection. Chris was able to put things on the side and recommended the perfect dishes! We had dessert also which was a GF banana cake with Gelato. It was delish. My only complaint was I thought the desserts were small and a little pricey. If priced a little less, we would have ordered 2 or 3. All in all it was a perfect experience and evening, and we will be back soon! Highly recommend!

The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.
