Just as others have said, calling and talking with Susan was a great first contact with the business. Unlike many service companies, she is quite familiar with the company and its approach to their work. (I later learned that she had been a customer and eventually started working with them - a truly excellent review in itself.) It turned out that the ends of some of the joists in the crawl space were resting on crumbling 70 year old concrete. The solution was to employ a metal support beam from close to the entrance of the crawl space all the way to the back wall as close to the crumbing side wall as possible to support the leaning joists. Once the work was done, I was surprised to see that nothing seemed to have changed. I was advised to wait a few days and that they would look to come back to make final adjustments in a couple of months. Three days later, the closet door stopped closing by itself. By the end of the week, it stayed put wherever on its path I moved it to. Another week and I could see that the low corner of the range had improved a little. It's been a bit more than a month now and I have gradually lost my fear that the kitchen floor would collapse as I was cooking. The cost was exactly as quoted, although they did more work than they had originally planned to. Just Dry Basement is an excellent, fully professional organization. I suggest that you call them without any hesitation. I can tell you that I have received no remuneration of any kind for writing this positive review and feel sure that no one else has either. They are simply that good!

They started the escavation and then half way through started trying to extort more money out of me. It was at that point that I made a decision to rid them from my property and accept the loss and damages. With my house now exposed to the elements and in imminent danger of collasping. I needed to find a reputable company fast. I called Structional Engineering and Design and spoke with Michael. He came out the same day to survey the area that had been partially dug out by the scammers. Due to the urgency, Michael got me on his schedule and started the work the following week. When you are going through a devastating and life-changing time. You need a compassionate and meticulous group of individuals working for you to restore your home. You can rely on Michael for prompt assistance. Michael and his team worked from early morning into the nighttime hours completing the escavation and underpinning. It was a big job and a lot of hard work. All of the guys were professional, hardworking and did a wonderful job restoring my deck after the escavation. Michael kept me informed and explained each step to me. From begin to end the Michael and his guys were simply top notch. From the start with Michael's honesty, fairness and transparency was a level above everyone else I'll had dealt with. The only thing better than the quality of his work is Michael's character. They even hauled the tons of dirt and rock with no extra charge! I'm very happy I found this company to do business with. It's been almost 4 months and I have not had a drop of water in the basement and it feels great not having to worry about it. What began as a nightmare was soon met with sit back and relax, WE GOT THIS!!!!!!

Never messaged back so I called them and got a robot. They nor the robot got back to me.read more

He apologized, then immediately started it again. They redid the floor in my mother's living room and had to take up a railing I built by the foyer. They cracked it, knicked it, and mangled it when they took it up to put the floor down. It was put back with gaps that were not there when I built it. Cracks in the runner, spindles marred-up, finish nails driven part-way in, then hammered over and the holes not filled. It was a nice oak railing. Now I have to fix it. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

They have done a tremendous job for me. Outside my retaining wall was replaced, new steps and walkway, new storm door and new sliding door was replaced along with new railings and awnings. Everyone involved was always very polite, professional, hardworking, always on time. At the end of their work day they made sure to clean up and make it possible for us maneuver around. After all the outside work was completed I was so pleased, I had them take care of the inside upgrade. That included tearing up flooring, addressing the squeaks in the hardwood and installing a new floor throughout, looks beautiful. They installed a new backsplash and countertop in my kitchen. I kept my cabinets and the guys painted them, they also repaired a broken cabinet door and you'd never know it was broken, everything looks great. It was necessary to make upgrades to my electrical box, I now feel safe that was taken care of. The guys have a few things to finish up for me, which my son Drew was not aware of before he became upset about the railing he posted about. I know I can depend on George to handle them. I am so pleased beyond ecstatic with all the work George has done in my home, we have had a great working experience. I couldn't be happier and have and will recommend Penn Remodeling Service to my family and friends.

On the follow-up to our first project with Mike and his team at Select Basement Waterproofing, we proceeded with the plan of waterproofing the basement and keeping moisture contained at a reasonable level. Mike and team installed the following in our 160+ square foot basement: -French drain -waterproofing / Insulation on walls -new sump crock (with new battery backup sump pump) -Glass block windows -Radon pump -cementing / closing up the floor I was thrilled with the results of the hard effort given by the team. Everything was completed thoroughly, professionally, and cleanly. No questions were left on my mind (kudos to Mark for that level of detail and for managing my questions). Mike and team were professional, funny, friendly - just good people all around. I even took them to lunch a few times during the project! Mike gives an honest assessment and I never got a feeling I was being oversold. He and his team bring hard work and years of experience. Highly recommended with zero hesitation.

The guys were very friendly and professional. The job was finished within 10 days (mortar needed to cure before sealant could be applied) and it looks great. After another week of no contact, I called back again and spoke to a man named Nathan who told me that he would follow up with me (you guessed it) "later that day or the next". Still no call or text. Very frustrating as it's raining a lot lately and we want our external stucco wall repaired before any water damage occurs. I guess maybe they don't need my business? Can't say anything about their work but this customer service experience makes me question their reliability and attention to detail. Your experience may vary, but this was mine, for what it's worth.

We had an existing system we didn't know about that wasn't quite performing enough to make us feel good about spending money on finishing a basement. I am thrilled with the job that was done. Everything from the initial estimate with Herb, to the last interaction with the crew was a pleasant experience and I am very happy with the results. They were courteous and quick, but never at the expense of their work. Anytime an unknown caused a snag the lead just happily told me not to worry because we know what we're doing and our only option is to do it right. Jarred's passion for his craft shone through multiple times during the install and was a big reassurance to me that we were in good hands. I am a big do-it-yourselfer and struggle with giving it up that I need a professional but at multiple times during the install I was so thankful I went with this company. All of our concerns addressed, and our questions answered. We can now finish our basement with confidence and are much more knowledgable about what we have and how to maintain it. Highly recommended!

Montgomery is known to be a busy street with lots of road work in the morning, so you should plan ahead to leave earlier rather than put everyone on the road in danger because you're late or maybe just because you're impatient. I have no way of knowing if that person works for the business or just supports the business, but either way it should be known that it's not a great idea to promote a business on the same car that you use to aggressively cut people off.
