WATCH THE VIDEO! Tell me how that makes you feel! Then Share. I had one of the worst customer…read moreservice experiences I've ever had at Pet Supplies Plus Goose Creek. This happened at the 208 St James Ave location on Saturday, May 16. I came in around 1:00 p.m. to use the self service dog bath station while running between errands. It should have been a quick and simple visit, but it turned into an extremely uncomfortable experience because of Sheldon, who I later found out was the store manager. From the moment I walked in, Sheldon had a rude, dismissive, and unpleasant attitude. At checkout, he gave me a receipt and told me I needed to give it to someone in the back. When I walked to the bathing area, there was no one there to check the receipt, explain anything, or assist. The self service dog wash area was dirty and not well maintained. There were 2 bath stations, and the area did not look properly cleaned. The dryer also was not working properly, which is a major problem when someone is paying to use a self service dog bath. When I asked how I was supposed to dry my dog, Sheldon handed me a towel and said he doesn't really go back there and didn't know. I also asked if they had a rubber scrubber or bathing brush available because many self service dog wash stations provide something to help wash through the dog's coat properly. I was told to just use my hands. A groomer came over and said they use their hands as well. I understand some dogs may have sensitive skin, but if basic bathing tools are not provided, staff should be able to explain that professionally instead of making the customer feel like they are being difficult for asking. The worst part was Sheldon's behavior. Instead of handling a simple customer concern calmly, he became rude, dismissive, and started cursing. The altercation happened around 1:14 p.m. When I began recording because of how uncomfortable and unprofessional the interaction became, he claimed that I cursed at him, which I did not. I tried to speak to him calmly, and when I said "my friend," he responded, "I'm not your friend," and walked away. That type of behavior is unacceptable from any employee, but it is especially unacceptable from someone in a management position. A manager should set the tone for the store, speak to customers professionally, de escalate concerns, and help solve problems. Sheldon did the complete opposite. I do want to say that Colin was polite, professional, and friendly. After Sheldon left, Colin tried to speak with me and apologize on behalf of the manager. His communication felt appropriate for a pet friendly, family environment, and he handled himself well. Everyone else in the store seemed friendly, which makes this even more disappointing. One person's conduct completely ruined the entire experience. I also noticed another recent Google review from a customer raising concerns about the self service dog wash area, including safety concerns with the setup. Based on my experience, it seems like the dog wash area may need serious review from ownership and corporate. I left the store around 1:29 p.m. and later submitted a complaint to the owner contact provided to me by a female manager at the store. I will not be returning to this location. The self service dog wash area was dirty, the dryer was not working properly, the support was poor, and the store manager's behavior was completely unacceptable. This location needs serious attention from ownership and corporate.

PET SUPPLIES PLUS -- GOOSE CREEK, SOUTH CAROLINA 208 St…read more James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC INCIDENT: AUGUST 22, 2026 I never imagined trying to resolve a complaint about three bags of dog food left in my driveway in the rain would end with a manager putting both middle fingers near my face, repeatedly flipping me off, repeatedly telling me to "get the f*** out," and employees coming outside toward my vehicle while I was calling corporate. My order had specific delivery instructions, and I have the screenshot: "FRONT PORCH ONLY. Do NOT leave in driveway." It also instructed the driver to open the middle gate and stated the dog food MUST be on the porch. Instead, all three bags were left in my driveway. It rained, and I came home to three soaking wet bags. I called the store that night and spoke with Cinder. I was told the issue would be passed to a manager. I never heard from anyone. I also called and messaged Lori, the franchise owner, with no response. I eventually contacted corporate. On August 22, my birthday, I went to the Goose Creek store and spoke with manager Sheldon. He repeatedly insisted the instructions "weren't on the ticket." I showed him they appeared on MY order and explained Cinder had said there could have been a glitch. That was what I wanted investigated. Sheldon also told me it was our responsibility to contact Uber. I didn't choose Uber; Pet Supplies Plus did. Adam at Pet Supplies Plus corporate later confirmed to me that Uber is the delivery service they use and told me the store is supposed to handle the issue with its delivery service, including a replacement or refund. Instead of investigating, Sheldon became hostile and said words to the effect of, "I know you. You always come in and fing complain." He then put both middle fingers up close to my face. THAT is when I pushed the cart away. Yes, I became angry and called him a "f*r." I'm including my reaction because I'm telling the whole story. Sheldon continued down the aisle, repeatedly turning around and flipping me off. While I walked toward the front door, he flipped me off again and repeatedly told me to "get the f*** out of the store." He then accused me of following/stalking him while I was literally walking toward the FRONT DOOR after being told to leave. I even asked the cashier, "Isn't that the front door?" I left. That should have ended it. I got inside my vehicle and called corporate. While I was speaking with Adam, Sheldon, Kristina the groomer, and other employees came outside toward my vehicle. Sheldon went behind my vehicle and appeared to be taking pictures/video. To be completely accurate, Kristina and I did NOT have a verbal exchange. She came extremely close to my vehicle and, from what I observed and could read from her lips, I recall her saying words to the effect of, "Why don't you get out of the car, f****r?" I did not respond. I stayed inside my vehicle and continued telling Adam what was happening. I also heard another man in the background, sounding extremely agitated, making statements about wanting to kick my ass and kill me. I did not take that lightly. Having multiple employees come outside after I had already left and approach my vehicle felt like intimidation. I was concerned for my safety because I had no idea how far this might escalate. Let's be clear: I had already left the store. I was sitting inside my vehicle. I was on the phone with their corporate office. Why did multiple employees need to come outside after me? And what started all of this? Three bags of dog food. My order clearly stated "FRONT PORCH ONLY. Do NOT leave in driveway." The food was left in the driveway, it rained, and the bags were soaked. A simple customer service issue escalated into a manager putting both middle fingers near my face, repeatedly flipping me off and ordering me out, followed by employees coming outside toward my vehicle while I was speaking with corporate. People considering this location should also look through its Google reviews. There is another review involving Sheldon with a recording/video. Don't take my word for somebody else's experience. Read it, watch it, and judge it yourself. Pet Supplies Plus corporate has been made aware of what happened. Adam was on the phone with me while the situation outside was unfolding. Customers deserve professional treatment even during a disagreement. Once a customer has been told to leave and HAS LEFT, there is no reason for a customer service dispute to continue outside around that customer's vehicle to the point where the customer feels intimidated and concerned for his safety. All of this could have been handled with: "We're sorry. We'll contact our delivery service and replace the damaged food or refund your money." Instead, somehow we ended up here. Absolutely unbelievable.

I have always been upfront about her being a mix, she resembles a Maltese or Shih Tzu and her profile clearly says "mixed." At check-in, the staff changed her breed to "Maltipoo" because she is "larger than a Maltese" and charged me $11 extra. They also added a $10 "scissor fee" because her coat was supposedly "thick," even though she has straight, thin hair. At check-in, they offered teeth cleaning and nail grinding, and I clearly declined both. When they called to say my dogs were ready, they mentioned the extra $10 charge and told me they did her nails "free of charge," despite my specific instructions not to touch them. To make it worse, my 50lb black lab/border collie mix had a grooming the same day and his was cheaper than my 8lb Shih Tzu/Maltese mix. When I went to pay, my fiancé stayed in the salon to pick up the dogs. He witnessed her rolling her eyes then she approached him. This groomer proceeds to tell him, "I'm sorry your wife is upset... this is why we did the charge, etc. Please bring your dog back again, I loved working with her." Unfortunately, after this experience, my fiancé and I both agree we will never bring our dogs back here. I will say, the rest of the staff I interacted with outside of this particular groomer (Keriann M) were friendly and professional, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I suggest others, especially with mixed breeds, think twice if you expect fair pricing, transparency, and for your wishes as a pet owner to be respected.

Anyways, other than that, I asked the manager (because he was the only worker in the store other than the lady at the register) if you could help me get a couple of fish to which he like mumbled sure. Anyways, he went back there and he scooped up the three goldfish I wanted in a Koi. I had the goldfish in one bag in the koi in the other. So I bring the bags to the lady at the register who looked like she was on drugs, (she was probably 40 but looked 90) TO WHICH SHE THEN KNOCKED MY BAG OF GOLDFISH ON THE FLOOR AND DIDN'T EVEN COME AROUND TO PICK IT UP. I PICKED IT UP OFF THE FLOOR AND brought it back to the manager to get re-bagged and then I demanded a discount because my fish were not looking so good and I got a 10% discount like that did anything it took like two bucks off. But honestly, this is just sad and should never happen. Also, the lady who did that was getting an attitude with me like I was the one who just clumsily almost killed a a live pet and she didn't even care. If you live in South Carolina, please just make the road trip to the PetSmart in Sumerville. The people in there actually know what they're doing and are usually really nice.
