What a fun an unique dining experience. Briana our person who took care of us was amazing! We had a great table near the tank with a front row view. Food was fantastic and highly recommend a reservation. A family was a walk in when we arrived and was quoted 45 min wait however we saw them being sat 1.5 hours after we were. The venue is def kid friendly with the aquarium as the attraction. Food was great, split the Broiled Fisherman's platter between two people which was a perfect amount of food. The tilapia was a bit bland with the shrimp being over cooked. We just wanted the fried gator which was an option while not on the menu. Shrimp scampi ravioli also a hit and the sauce was so tasty. The tres leches tiramisu was phenomenal. You won't be disappointed. Drinks also on point, had an espresso martini which on the second round, what looked to be a manager, quickly snatched the martinis stating it was not made up to standard and they would redo. Parking at Aquarium Restaurant is a complete disaster and the biggest reason this visit was so frustrating. They force you to create an account just to pay for parking. I tried to register through their site and never received the text message needed to complete it. On top of that, the terms you have to accept are a serious privacy red flag. The fine print includes an "AI and recognition platform that uses facial recognition, License Plate Recognition, Behavioral Analytics, and related video analytics to, among others, (i) identify persons and vehicles at MRP-enabled Locations or identify vehicles at LPR-enabled locations, (ii) support access control and security monitoring, and (iii) facilitate personalized hospitality services through BLNQ." I should not have to create an account or hand over that level of personal data simply to park and give a business my money. Nobody should be required to accept facial recognition, license-plate tracking, and behavioral analytics just for the privilege of paying for a parking spot. That is a massive overreach. The friction around parking set a bad tone for the entire meal. Once we finally got inside, the food was mediocre -- nothing stood out and nothing made me want to come back. The music was also cranked way too loud. Conversation at the table was difficult, which only added to the irritation after the parking ordeal. If the parking system wasn't such a headache and a privacy problem, the mediocre food and loud music might have been more forgivable. As it stands, the combination made the whole experience not worth it. I won't be returning, and I'd advise others to factor in the parking hassle and data demands before choosing this place. read more

Went with my baby (under 2) and we had a good experience. We went right when the restaurant opened and we had a great view of the fish tank. Our server was Kelsey and though she was quiet, she was great checking on us and giving refills. The kids chicken tenders and Mac n cheese was perfect for my kiddo. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon and it was pretty good but the proportions of food on the plate were so strange - the salmon much much smaller then expected for the price paid, and almost an entire bundle of plain asparagus that no one would ever want to finish alone. The Aquarium restaurant was an unexpectedly pleasant dinner experience. Large serving sizes, nicely seasoned chicken and seafood, crispy fried items, and underwater ambiance. The castaway combo was a great appetizer to share among 3 people with leftovers to spare and included quesadillas, cheese curds, queso and chips, fried onion, and dipping sauces. We had a great server, complimentary bread basket with butter (that can be refilled), very plush booth seating, and tons of room for 3 people (so larger parties would still be quite comfortable). There is both indoor and outdoor seating available and I was seated perfectly within view of the 360 aquarium tank. My waiter Howard wasted no time greeting me with a warm smile and took my drink order. I ordered the coconut shrimp meal and the mermaid adult beverage. The drink was made perfectly and he first brought out 2 warm pieces of delicious bread & butter. My meal soon followed which was nice & hot and very delicious!! First time eating here. Plenty of onsite parking $15, and I highly suggest making a reservation. Keep in mind there are a lot of family's with children and some parents do not watch their children or have well behaved children and let them run around and scream and make noise. I wish staff would say something to the parents to stop it from happening or have signs at checkin about not letting your children run around. But it wasn't too bad but just a warning to everyone that it isn't a quite romantic place but is upscale on quality of the food. And the aquarium that sits in the heart of the restaurant is the main focal point. The fish swimming around are a sight to see and they are huge. I loved the way the staff was keeping the glass clean throughout the night. As you can imagine the little ones can't keep their hands off of it. It's a huge attraction and can also be a huge distraction as well. I noticed several parents trying to get their kids to eat instead of running up to the glass to check out the fish. This is a great place to bring your kids to, for they can eat and see the fishes. The food was okay, it just reminds me of the Cheesecake Factory type food. The cocktails were not good, I would just stick to soda or lemonade. My favorite was the turtle cheesecake, it was to die for and the best cheesecake I've ever had, definitely a must try. I had high expectations for Aquarian restaurant since it is a seafood place but the key highlight would be the Louisiana pasta and the gator in the castaway combo. Everything else wasn't as great as the signature pasta. The oyster itself is frozen and were huge, it wasn't enjoyable but our server was able to accommodate us. The service here is amazing and couldn't have asked for anything better, just the food here is lacking the presence. One of my first dates in high school was to the Aquarium in Kemah. Back then it felt like the most fancy restaurant in the world. As a grown up, coming to the Aquarium is more for the experience. It's mostly a tourist trap, but still fun to visit from time to time. This location in downtown Houston has been around for quite awhile. You can't miss the Ferris wheel and the bright neon blue lights driving down 45. Reservations are not required but encouraged. Customer service has always been good for me as well. I hosted my dad's 60th birthday party here and have brought out of town guests here as well. The restaurant is large and also has banquet rooms available. I'm a fried seafood platter kind of guy when it comes to seafood spots. It's hard to mess up fried catfish, shrimp and oysters. The stuffed crab is a bonus on this dish. It's good but i prefer my seafood more on the Cajun flavor profile. They have plenty of other options such as seafood, steak, pasta, and burgers. There's something to make most people happy. I've had some of their seafood dishes and they're solid. What you're really coming here for is you guessed it...the aquarium. How many places have a gigantic aquarium smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. Not many. Here, you get to dine and watch beautiful sea life in their very well maintained aquarium. If you come at the right time, you can watch feeding time or a diver swimming about helping someone propose to their significant other. On top of all that, you also have exhibits and rides on the property. All come at an extra charge of course. Overall, it's a cool place. I don't come here for the food but more for a change of scenery. I'm sure I'll be back every few years or so. read more

What dropped it down was when we were getting seated, the restaurant was still relatively empty and the server brought us to a small booth. I asked for another table that sat 6 with a great view of the aquarium and the server said how about this smaller table next to it. Within 10 minutes later a family of 5 came and were given that table we were not given the seat to. (Strike 1). The food gets a mixed review. The calamari was breaded too thick and overcooked. The cocktail shrimp the same. The New Orleans combo platter was very good though. Still the location is very relaxing and watching fish swim around while you eat is great. We just had a terrible experience at this Aquarium location. Our son is on Spring Break this week, and his big ask for the week was to visit the attractions at the Kemah Boardwalk. My mother-in-law came with us, and we invited one of his little friends from the other side of the city. It was a mini-vacation for us that we had planned for weeks. We remembered Aquarium from when he was much younger, and wanted to cap off our day of fun with an amazing meal surrounded by beautiful fish. We were starving. Instead, our waiter took our order, and then never came back to the table. After well over an hour we got the attention of a manager who offered us a couple appetizer coupons and to send us with some fries and a grilled cheese for the kids so they wouldn't be hungry. SHE CHARGED US FOR IT! We're Landry Card holders and like to eat at all their restaurants. After this, however, we won't be going to any Landry's restaurant for a long time. In addition to that we're going to make sure to tell everyone we know about this experience and ask that none of them dine at any Aquarium ever again in solidarity for ruining our son's day on his vacation. There is a valet $18 or self parking $15 option for this location. Once you self park, you have to walk there the outdoor kids area past all the rides to get inside. There is a stingray feeding area once you get inside. We made reservations for dinner in advance and were seated right away lots of others different have reservations and there was a wait. The restaurant is upstairs but there is an elevator for strollers or wheelchairs. It is a unique experience. The service was good and our waiter was knowledge about a lot of the fish in the aquarium. The menu is smaller and we settled on salads and I enjoyed my mermaid cocktail but it was pricey. read more

Wow I can't say enough good things about our meal. Went with family and wash of the 4 dishes got rave reviews. The prices weren't cheap, but when it's good it's worth it. The servers were very attentive and kept our glasses filled. If you have never been there, you will love the huge fish tanks. Also they have an amusement park on site. We came here for a birthday celebration. If you are a fan of fish this is the place to visit. There is the actual aquarium that you can walk through to see all the various sea life its maybe a 30 min journey if that. There is also the host of outside rides including a scaled down Farris wheel and merry go round. All that makes is good for groups of all sizes. The staff definitely does a great job with their attentiveness and attention to detail. The portion size is very healthy all that makes it worth coming out and visiting. If the weather is nicer or its a special holiday anticipate there being more people. I would recommend checking out this place if you are thinking about it. read more
