Stopped by this cute cafe after visiting Dillions Beach with the dogs and I'm glad we found this place! They have plenty of seating inside and out and is open tables. They have good coffees and teas and also make a great affogato! We tried their sandwiches and was planning to take them to go or just eat them in the car but when we took a peak at our food then we already knew we had to enjoy the good food while we were there and I'm glad we did. They have delicious and many sandwiches to choose from along with salads and a variety of baked goods. Would I come back? Hell yes! read more

What a cool spot. The staff were friendly, and the food looks killer. I didn't try it myself, but my friend got the most enviable sandwich--a ruben, pressed panini style, that came with an excellent looking side salad. I also saw someone with a flatbread pizza that looked so good, I wanted to snatch it off the plate. I got an ice tea, something with summer in the name. It was good, done quickly, and they offer sugar-free sweetener, too. I'd probably drop by again if in the area. They offer a vegan panini that needs to be sampled. read more

Hipster atmosphere. Very cool vibe and clientele. Excellent falafal wrap with yogurt sauce and fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. Super fresh side salad with a light Vinaigrette. Also had the Mediterranean appetizer plate: super fresh cucumber and tomato slices, nicely toasted pita, and baba ganoush. read more

A totally hip and happening place in a small, quaint town, Aqus Cafe has something for everyone! Whether it be desserts, a meal, a cup of joe or a bit of beer, you can for sure find it here! I heard the rave about this place, considering its vibe, music, and happy hour options. I ordered the Aqus Pizza and was totally blown away. The meals are smaller portions, but packed with flavor. I almost want to order everything on the menu at once if time and money would allow.... The service was great as the cashier ensured my meal was ready quickly and accurately. She was extremely bubbly and helpful even for the place almost closing in 10 mins where we can all admit, we'd also be cranky. Definitely will be returning for some good music and food when in the little town of Ptown read more

I love Aqus cafe, it has a great friendly vibe and the owners are very involved with the community at large. it's a great place to go with friends or to read and work quietly. I would normally give Aqus 5 stars however as was disappointed today to pay $7.75 for one piece of avocado toast. It's served on artisan bread with avocado, pink salt and pumpkin seeds. It's very good however one piece of toast for $7.75 is disappointing. I won't be ordering it again. read more

A Petaluma Staple! I have come to Aqus every time I'm back home. It's right in the perfect spot. Just the best staff, and the cutest little English Woman in the Planet! Love seeing her and her regular customers at the bar, and sometimes a treat to have her sons Service Animal there to say hi!! (hi Holly!!) I love all their panini's, Chili, the trout salad is amazing! And the flatbread pizzas are great on the go! Can't wait to be back in the Bay Area, so I can Visit all the girls at Aqus! I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is so relaxing but you can tell by the buzz when u walk in this is a local spot in town. I was just looking for a nice cup of coffee but to my surprise they had an amazing breakfast menu as well. From quesadillas to breakfast sandwiches and for all my gluten intolerant friends they have gluten free bread here. The baristas and staff are extremely nice from the minute you walk in. There is plenty of tables to sit at and even outside dinning for the sunny days. This place is now going to be my family's go to spot on the weekend. read more

Really? This is a $10 grilled cheese sandwich? The description says there are three different kinds of cheese here. I doubt that very much. Edit: after returning the sandwich and being berated by the rude Lady at the register that I just had to deal with it. I am downgrading to one star. what a horrible pretentious expensive place to eat. never again and I work next-door. read more

I've come a bunch of times. I usually order my latte for pick up PROS: - I call, out my order in, and pick it up. Love it - lattes are delicious and hey offer almond milk - staff is super nice - they have metal spoons at the table to fix up your beverage - turmeric latte is really good - they offer other beverages and snack goodies - have local art on the walls CONS: - I wish there more breakfast options - breakfast doesn't start until 8am. I need it earlier - local art on the walls is super expensive but I'm an educator so lots of things are expensive to me read more

Super adorable spot and friendly staff just thought that what I got and what I paid for where a bit off. I got the 2nd st panini for almost 13 bucks and it's a 9 dollar meal at best. Based on the contents of the sandwich and the quality of its presentation and taste, their food seems over priced for what you get . I paid 20 dollars for a breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee . I think that's pretty ridiculous and expected more for that kind of money read more

Love your Tuna Melts, but I have a question, WHY is the celery cut so large? I have had it a few times, and sometimes it is perfectly cut, small and manageable, but other times the pieces are over 1/2 inch big. It just makes it difficult to eat. Thank you for being local and personable. read more

I've been visiting Aqus for a couple years now whenever I'm in Petaluma for an early morning run. I had neglected to write a review but felt compelled to state how great the service and quality of products remain even with the new Covid restrictions. They have a comfortable amount of seating available for one to enjoy a meal, or snack while enjoying the outdoors just a block off the main road. I appreciate the variety of options for those who have gluten restrictions; seems most everyone will find something they can enjoy for breakfast. They serve gluten free bread, bagels and pastries so nobody has to feel left out. The pies are made by a local bakery and are a decadent treat. The other reason I love this cafe is the option to enjoy a glass of bubbly with my breakfast. They serve beer and wine which is always a nice treat on a warm day. If you are in the neighborhood and just want a low key option, I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

Second time eating at this beautiful hidden gem! This family owned business is by far one of the best I had the pleasure of eating at. I definitely felt at home with good vibes from the locals and staff. Owners are awesome they make their desserts fresh everyday! Even on a busy Sunday I got my food with minutes. Seating might be a bit challenging so plan accordingly or make friends! A perfect touch is the live music. I wasn't expecting such great tunes to go along with my lunch! I would recommend any of their panini's! So far I indulged in the California Rueben and the Chicken Breast panini. The Rueben was a bit too salty and a little sour. I think it was too much sauce for me personally. Each panini comes with a tasty house salad for that good carb veggie balance. Did I forget to mention happy hour is everyday! If you're looking for coffee or tea Aqus is also a great place to grab quality coffee. I've only had their chai tea and it was great. Just the right amount of spicy and sweet. It's often hard for me to find a place that makes great chai so this was a great win for me. read more

Aqus is a friendly, casual meeting place frequented by familiar faces of all ages on a regular basis. My wife and I are regular customers at least several times a week for an afternoon latte either indoors or at tables outside weather permitting. The concept is reminiscent of what I experienced in Ireland and Scotland which is no surprise considering the two owners heritages. I can't say enough about the staff who treat the customers like family with welcoming smiles. I've enjoyed the lattes, pastries and occasional meals. Although I haven't participated in the community events Aqus is involved I hope to do so in the future. read more

What a neat little neighborhood cafe. We stayed in a rental down the street, so the location was definitely convenient for us but if you are passing through town, you'll have to take a few turns to find it from the main road. It's not in the downtown area. It's situated between some residential and industrial buildings, right near the river, with little park benches to sit down and enjoy the view. Our first night there, we were surprised by a live poetry reading event while in the middle of our dinner, which was pretty neat. The food was pretty good. We came back for breakfast, which was also good but the coffee was just so-so. If you are a coffee snob like me, Water Street Bistro has Taylor Maid. If you are anyone else, it's just fine. It's nice and casual... just my pace. The only tip I'll leave you with is if you are coming here for dinner, come after the sun goes down. The windows don't have shades and when the sun comes through, it is blinding until it pops below the horizon. read more

Great little spot to visit for happy hour and unwind in a relaxed environment! I visited Aqus for my second time this weekend and got to enjoy some time catching up with a friend to a jazz pianist and some great happy hour deals. Aqus offers a variety of flatbreads, sandwiches, appetizers, and sweets - many of which are available during their happy hour. Their entire flatbread menu is available for $8.75 a flatbread during happy hour, and other offerings like their turkey chili or black bean nachos and their quesadillas are available. We opted for the Mediterranean flatbread and the black bean nachos. They're definitely great items to share, and the nachos are likely large enough to be your own entree if you come in packing an appetite. At $7.25, they're a pretty solid deal! You might walk in and see they're offering something else called the "Petaluma Platter." We inquired and found out it's a sort of cheese board - offering up 4 types of cheeses. We didn't get it this time around, but it's a great resource to have on your radar, and inexpensive for a cheese board at just $8.95. If you're looking to have a drink, beers are $5 flat (tax included) and $15.75 for a pitcher. Expect local craft options like Lagunitas, Bear Republic, Moonlight, and more. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again to try out their happy hour. It's always great to find a spot that offers one during the weekend. Next time, I'll take pics! read more

I love Aqus! It has easily become my favorite breakfast spots in Petaluma because of the quick service, shorter lines, price, and ambiance! I love that there are equally as many vegetarian options as 'normal' ones, and that the staff is super personable. I love their OATMILK (amazing) and that they have lavender lattes. I've never been disappointed by the service or my food, and it's fun to run into someone I know when I go. Aqus is one of the few places in Petaluma with a quiet patio free from constant traffic, and it's lovely to spend sunny days enjoying the sun. My favorite dish is the Mediterranean Scramble and Lavender Latte! read more

went here for lunch today the menu was limited. The food was horrible. There was absolutely no service at all. We had to get up and get our own silverware and plates and napkins. I've never seen anything like it. Do not go here. Oh, and I almost forgot we had to clear our own table for their instructions. No stars. read more

Outdoor seating in the sun with umbrellas available on a quiet street was lovely. The peppermint mocha and lavender lattés were great! We also had a Cobb salad, which tasted great as well, I only wish there was more lettuce because there were so many toppings! Grabbed a blueberry lemon scone to go, which was a little on the dry side and light on the lemon flavor. read more

Such a wonderful community gathering place. I attended the Petaluma Welcome Wagon gathering and it was so nice to learn about Petaluma as a new resident. Check out their calendar for a list of events from Poetry groups to music performances. It is family style seating so don't just take your computer and look down the entire time, it's a great place to say hello and meet someone new. read more

Happy hour pricing on food, not sure about drinks, with several delicious options. This little place was clean and adorable. Tucked off into a small dude street in downtown Petaluma. Walking distance to the center of town and right next to a beautiful river. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Self serve water. It had a very authentic feeling and great, chill, calm atmosphere. I had the garden wrap and my friend had the hummus plate. Follow up to my previous review. Had lunch outside covid times -that fine on an nice sunny day with some friends first time for them. My go to items are the eggplant panini and portobella panini. Choose the eggplant panini and jackpot! hit the spot again. Follow up with an iced latte and good company. I highly recommend you stop by and enjoy this gem. FInally came here for breakfast. For a Sunday morning, it had a steady flow of people but wasn't overcrowded or too bustle-y. I still love this place for all the same reasons I initially did, but I am taking away one star for the breakfast menu. Not that it's bad; in fact, it's loaded with all kinds of options (two sides of choices!)... but for an establishment that has so many delicious vegan options on its lunch and dinner menu to have only a few things for breakfast (namely bagels, granola and fruit) is a bit disheartening. I settled for a hummus, tomato, onion and sprout bagel for breakfast, namely because there wasn't much else that appeared filling that I could eat. It was pretty good, but lacking in any sort of kick, aside from the spiciness of the onions. The best part of my meal was definitely the coffee and the company. I think from here on out, I'm gonna stick to lunch items from Aqus, and hold out hope that they'll add some more veg-friendly items for breakfast, like a tofu burrito or scramble. ;) read more

At first my daughter was like, "ugh, is this those places that you have to pay on their tablet?" When we first pulled up to this out of the way cafe in an industrial area of Petaluma on the west side. I uncovered from her, that she meant, no service, weird food and weird people when ever you pay on a tablet and not a register. Hilarious. Well it turned out we did pay on a tablet, but the food wasn't weird, It was pretty basic. Salads, Chili, Grilled Cheese. And it was all really good especially the chili. And the folks there weren't weird either. They were very friendly and quick with our order. The service was, one of those places you order at the counter and they bring it to you and my daughter does like the old school server at your booth, but we lived. We both agreed we'd go back and just get use to saying good-bye to the old way of getting served your food. Check this place out! read more

This place is basically useless if you're trying to work remotely. I came here eight times over the course of the summer, and somehow every single visit there were major issues with the Wi-Fi. I did all the usual troubleshooting--restarted my MacBook, forgot the network and rejoined it repeatedly--and I even asked the staff to unplug and restart the router. Still nothing. The Wi-Fi would inevitably drop out, refuse to connect, or become completely unusable. And before anyone assumes it was my computer: other people were having the same problem. What really bothered me, though, was the staff's attitude. They were completely unhelpful and even refused my request to restart. So I'm paying to sit there and work, the Wi-Fi doesn't connect, and apparently that's just... my problem? The most ridiculous part is that they have a sign requiring people who work remotely to purchase food or a drink every 90 minutes. Which, fine--you're a business, I understand wanting customers to spend money. But maybe provide the service people are actually paying to use before policing how often they buy a $6 coffee? I gave this place eight chances over the summer. My visit on 8/19 was the final straw, and I'm officially done. If you need somewhere to reliably work, I would look elsewhere. There are plenty of places that will happily take your money and provide functioning Wi-Fi. read more

Heard of this place randomly a few months ago and went with my boyfriend. It was my kinda date night! Live band playing, red wine, good conversation, chocolate cake, and just an overall laid back vibe. I really enjoyed the fact that we were "out," but also able to talk and catch up. There was all kinds of art up on the walls too. Such a European, small cafe feel. I haven't been in again unfortunately, because the two other times I went by, they were packed!! There's also an outside patio area, but it's been fairly freezing at night. ;) I would love to go back soon with my art supplies, sit in the corner with my coffee or wine, relax and people watch. :) Definitely a great find! This is good place to go hang with a friend for coffee and a bite. It is more quiet and quaint than Peete's and the coffee is good. They have breakfast burritos that I love, even a vegetarian one. I have had some minor bad service, as in not letting me know my coffee was done or a long wait for the burrito but nothing bad. Only thing, they used to serve their Mochas and Hot Chocolates with real, hand-made whip cream. They no longer do, sad :-( I loved that and it was what made them exceptional. A full cast of interesting characters. The home of the world's ugly dog contest (I tend to stay away during this event to avoid becoming a contestant) and wrist wrestling championship. Once famous for being the egg capital of the world. I once heard this conversation in a bar, "Hey Steve remember when we got paid to inseminate chickens when we were on acid?" Steve: "Those were chickens?" Sam Shepard would've had a field day here. Some newer buildings made to look old with crafted Styrofoam façades. You get the feeling you're on a movie set, which it has been on several occasions. I lived here for a number of years, a bit of a Peyton Place aura. Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more. Some of my favorite people I've met in the last 30 years hale from here. And, a disappropriated amount have left this earth too soon. One of the best foodie destinations north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Superb coffee shops and bakeries, some award-winning. So, back in 1999 I took a wrong turn off the freeway and discovered Petaluma and the first place I went was the "Tea Room" and it's still pretty much as awesome as it was then. A real nice vibe, nicely decorated with some incredible pastries to include the orange cranberry scone as I recall, sold out today. My breakfast today was quite good with the walnut toast, and a huge portion of very large potatoes that could've been cut into smaller pieces and maybe I only needed one third of the portion. Dem tatters were 'nuff for four people. Great atmosphere, nice friendly staff, and a very pleasant ambience. There's mirrored signage that says TEA mounted high on the wall across from one another so as to appear as if it were a reflection. I personally can also see the word EAT in there every time I glance at it. I was told years ago that it came from an old Texaco gas station sign. It makes sense, check it out. On Western Avenue. I used to tell folks it's across from the pink Catholic Church rectory. That's been painted to a rather unattractive conservation brown. A lot of nice outdoor seating and cool shops nearby, check out next-door thrift shop and the ever remarkable Petaluma market around the corner, with superb produce display! Famous for cheese, wine, cider, breweries and happy cows! If you're coming from the south cut over through Fairfax to Olema and take the back road up to Petaluma which is a stunning drive!

After I clarified that the purchase was made directly through Central Market's website, he acknowledged that he had misunderstood, stated that this was a known issue, and told me he would contact Toast to investigate. March 2026: A month passed with no update whatsoever. I called the restaurant and spoke with Tony directly. He told me that I would need to contact Toast myself--a completely different answer from what had previously been discussed. April 2026: I informed Tony via email that Toast's customer service system specifically states that support is intended for restaurant businesses, not customers. I followed up again by email on 4/30 asking if he had received my message and whether there was any update. I have received no response since. What is most disappointing is the lack of clarity and consistency throughout this process. At various points, I was told I may have been scammed, then told it was a known issue that would be investigated, and finally told to resolve it myself through a company that does not provide support to customers in this situation. Not once was there a proactive update, clear explanation, or meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. More than five months after paying $150, I still do not have the gift card (which was intended as a Christmas present for a close friend), a refund, or even the courtesy of a response to my follow-up emails. When a business takes a customer's money, there should be some level of accountability when something goes wrong. At this point, I can only conclude that customer service is not a priority. The complete lack of communication and follow-through has left me feeling that my concerns--and my business--simply do not matter. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others against purchasing gift cards through their website.

Not greasy and just fresh crab meat without unnecessary breadcrumbs and other fillings. Salmon carpaccio: fresh salmon with crunchy fried capers! I definitely have to have it everytime I'm here! Brick chicken: it tastes good! But I wish they can add Chicken Marsala on the menu. Kinda miss the taste of the mushrooms on the plate! Cod: it's a special that I hope it will stay on the menu. I do not do Tomato's or tomato sauce Quite insulting to the customer who knows food . The bartender asked how my dish was and I said " I guess they did not have any wild mushrooms" He looked at me and walked away . Everything was on point except for the wild mushroom scam . Hey just head to Whole Foods if your out ,where they have a large display and charge what you need to charge . Button mushrooms ? Give me a break !!!! Your customers are smart !
