Assorted roe rice, cut tuna roll, tempura

I couldn't find any aspect of my experience there consistent with the one-star reviews. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service, table, and ,most importantly, quality of food were excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You couldn't even finish all the food. Service: waitress was swift and attentive without being overbearing. There is also a service bell. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Table: clean and Charming environment with a good size table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food: tempura was crispy and fresh. Miso soup was tasty without being too salty. Tuna cut roll tasted fresh. Assorted roe rice bowl had beautiful presentation and tasted amazing. Price: with 20% tip came out to a hundo for two. Good value for what you get -- quantity and quality were on point. Will definitely be coming back.

Waiters were not that friendly, rushing when there isn't that much customer. The price is too expensive for quality/quantity of food. Got the chicken teriyaki bento box: tempura was only three pieces, four pieces of California roll, salad and the chicken. Chicken teriyaki was not good, the sauce was too sweet, roll tasted as if they were made hours ago. Udon was decent, flavor was good. My daughter liked the free complimentary ice cream.

We couldn't decide what we gonna eat lunch. We didn't go this place for so long and just stopped by for quick lunch. Sashimi bibimbap(3/5)- I didn't try that. I didn't eat law fish. My friend said it's was so so. I ordered some of sushi. Egg sushi and octopus sushi, ebi sushi. Tuna and uni sushi was for my friend. Also I ordered soft cell crap hand maki roll. 2/2 for every sushi. Long time ago I've been this place was much better than now. I don't like taste changes. But that's my opinion probably a lot of people like this place. I usually don't looking for Japanese sushi restaurants in anywhere. Sushi is not my favorite food but only one my favorite place in Manhattan I will always go there for eat sushi. Old places but you can seated more private. Clean but you can tell this place was old place from there interior. Out waitress was accommodating I am not sure about go back this place for try or not. Probably not.

Love the food here. Fresh fish and eggs. The "al bap" is their signature dish. It's an underrated gem with easy parking. Highly recommend.

I love fried food. There was shrimp, and cool people eating beside me. Service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambience was a date night for couples.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great quality Sushi and Sashimi and delicious Korean food!!! They been in business for 30 years and wow ...you can tell!!! Hidden gem that should be known more to the public!!!

The sashimi was fresh. The soup, and fish combo were tasty. I really enjoyed the hot noodle soup, it was well seasoned. The server was very fast, friendly and try to accommodate all the things we asked for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think they keep their door locked (at first we thought they were closed) but there's a bell, if you ring it they'll come and open (I'm guessing is for security purposes)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is not that great to be honest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Went for dinner on a week night about 7pm and there was no wait. The server was kind to ask us if we wanted a bigger table even though it was just the two of us. They thought our complimentary tea and banchan- fish cake with sesame seed, bean sprouts, and gochuang radish. It was all very tasty. The rolls are a bit pricey but they are quite filling. They do use premium ingredients and it is well put together. It is a little bit different than traditional Japanese- lots of onion on the rolls and the masago was black not orange. Overall the staff was quick and attentive and we didn't realize they were closing we sat for a long time and they allowed us to stay. At the end of the meal they even gave us a tiny ice cream cone. Due to the service and quality of ingredients I would give it 4/5!

everything is plated so nicely here, it felt like i was at a fine dining restaurant! the menu selection is great, i'll definitely be coming back to try other things. the free ice cream at the end was the cherry on top!

My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant after years of passing it and boy do we wish we'd gone in sooner! This was hands down one of the best meals we've had in a while. Walking in we were greeted by who we now know is the son of the owners, Sam who was kind and accommodating, allowing us to sit in one of the fun booths! We each ordered the entree plate combo and boy was it a lot of food! We planned to get an additional sushi roll but luckily Sam warned us against it for portion sizes and he was so right! Every bite was more delicious than the last! The sushi was fresh and buttery, the beef was cooked to perfection, we discovered our new obsession of rice with FOUR kinds of fish eggs, spicy fish soup and tempura that was fried to perfection. We both instantly knew this was going to be a top five local spot that we rotate to when we want to eat out. To know it's family run for over 30 years means so much to us when we decide where we put our money and we will happily spend time and money here over and over again! We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! Thank you for wonderful service and food!

We were able to order in the line, and got our food within 10 minutes once we finally sat down. I tried their handmade clam kalgusku soup and beef bulgogi. Both portions were generous. The kalguksu was incredible comforting, with chewy, long, freshly made noodles in a rich, savory broth that was packed with clams. The beef bulgogi was also delicious. It came with a side of salad and rice. The bulgogi was tender, well-merinated, and paired well together with the sides. We ordered the medium bossam, galbi kalguksu, perilla seed kalguksu and spicy pork. There were 5 of us but the portions were so generous, we had enough food with some bossam left over. The bossam was amazing! The best we've tasted. We all loved the perilla seed kalguksu due to its taste and also bc it's so healthy for you. The owner came by to check how we liked the galbi kalguksu since it was a newly created dish and we told her that it was delicious, seasoned just right. Before the meal, as they brought out the side dishes, they brought out barley rice with denjang on top to mix with yeol-moo kimchi. That was a special touch. We absolutely loved the food there. I saved the info so that we can return when we visit Koreatown again in the near future. Highly recommend this place to anyone who craves exceptional Korean food.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
