    SPICY TUNA SALAD
    X W.

wow, this spot is a hidden gem with warm vibe and beautiful food- made with more traditional amounts of rice, perfect subtle flavorings and generous servings. We had the spicy tuna salad, yellowtail, tamago, protein roll, a specialty roll and seared black snapper which blew our minds.

I decided to stop by Sushi Ye today since it's literally a block from my house and I pass it all the time, and I was so pleasantly surprised! It's a small, intimate spot with about 8-10 tables and really cute decor that gives it a cozy neighborhood feel. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the service was genuinely warm. Sam was my server and he was so kind and welcoming. They even brought me miso soup on the house and gave me a piece of one of their daily special nigiri to try, which was such a nice touch. The whole experience had such a chill solo-dining vibe, and I love that this little gem is within walking distance of my place. I can't believe it took me this long to stop in, but I'll definitely be back.

It's a very cozy spot in Koreatown. The staff were friendly, and the chef was incredibly kind as well. They even gave us miso soup on the house--and it was really good. The sushi was very fresh, and the rolls were delicious. The only downside is that they don't serve alcohol, so even if you want to eat more, it feels a little incomplete without a drink

5 stars. This place deserves every single one. Very intimate, the food is great, you can taste the freshness of it, but what make this place awesome for me is the amazing staff. Unless I am somewhere far, I don't think I'll be going anywhere else for my sushi. Highly recommend you give them a try.

    Chefs choice, incredible!

Sushi Ye did not disappoint. Came in for a quick bite just before servicing photography at an event near by. I was seated quickly, and served with great care. Chef surprised me with his choice. Everything from my Miso soup, custom Philadelphia roll, to my sashimi plate was delicious and fresh. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My drink was excellent! I throughly enjoyed my experience at Sushi Ye.

This is a cute little sushi spot! Gave me a feeling like I was in Japan when I was seated inside. Came on a Friday night and it didn't have a wait, but tables were filled inside. Everything looked good, so finally settled on 2 rolls and a 2 pc halibut sushi. The rolls were perfect .. had just enough rice and the flavor was on point. The halibut sushi had a good ratio of rice to fish, however the fish was a bit chewy for me. Service was awesome! Note that this place doesn't serve alcohol, but you are allowed to bring your own. Looking forward to trying other rolls and sushi with my own alcohol next time!

Enjoyed a quiet lunch date. The unagi bowl was light and flavorful. Was treated to a delicious seared black snapper sashimi that was out of this world tender. Everything from the wasabi to the decor was on-point and met our satisfaction. Will definitely return....soon.

Amazing place. 100% recommend if you're looking for a nice quiet ambient date spot or night dinner. The fish is incredibly high quality as well! Staff and chef are incredibly kind and service is just the best. 10/10 will return again.

YELLOWTAIL BELLY(HAMACHI TORO) and off the menu chef's special

This place was a hole in the wall of k-town with easy parking! If you're looking for a lunch/dinner spot with easy parking and no wait time, this is the spot ! Came her for lunch and it was pretty quiet, with 1 or 2 tables seated. It is super clean and the menus have photos on each item, making it super easy to order. Upon entering, the server was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the 10 pc assorted sushi that comes with miso soup and 2pc Yellowtail belly. The chef hooked it up with an additional yellowtail belt plus an off-the menu nigiri. Everything was so good, the way the sashimi is slice gives you the most out of your buck. They are pretty big slices of fish, I was pretty full off my order. The amberjack is a must try and their scallop! I am usually not a fan of cooked fish, but their mackerel and eel was insanely soft and umami.

The ambiance was very nice. It was a small shop in a plaza with free parking and security guard. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the sushi couple with came with 12 pc plus an extra one. We also ordered the scallop which was nice and sweet. The shrimp tempura was cooked to perfect both crispy and soft on the inside. The total for the meal came out to be only around $100 which is a fair price.

Amazing and quick serve with fresh quality sushi. Everything was yummy but the yellowtail belly, scallop, and whatever was on the house was my fave. I highly recommend :)

The food and service was amazing! The decor and ambiance was is very inviting. It's a fairly small restaurant with warm lighting along the room which is nice if your with friends or on a date. The sushi was tender and flavorful for a good price. Would definitely recommend!

Ask the Community - Sushi Ye

Heard there was a change of ownership. Do you still have the orange roll and flower ball? Those were the best items on the menu.

Hi Danielle Thanks for asking about that item Unfortunately we don’t have that items..…

    How's the sushi? Fresh?

Their sushi is always fresh! Apprently the owner chef goes to the fish market every morning. They're generous with portion, too. Not rice overload with little fish like some other places.

One of the best sushi spots I've had a in a while actually. We didn't really do any appetizers and went straight in for the fish. Started off with a couple of hand rolls, we did the crab hand roll and O toro hand roll. Crab hand roll wasn't as impressive, I've had better to be honest. I didn't let that experience ruin it for me because the toro hand roll was delicious. I think they add a piece of mint and it complimented the hand roll. Very crunchy nori wrapper and good rice to fish ratio. For our sushi we started with chu toro tuna, salmon belly, and halibut. Super fresh melt in your mouth quality. Halibut was interesting with the truffle, first time definitely won't be the last. We ended it with red snapper and black snapper. Absolutely amazing, I think the black snapper or the red snapper was slightly charred. It was so good. To say the least, this restaurant was worth it!

Nice of the chef to switch out roe for halibut for me on my omakase. However, probably the worst omakase I've ever had. No creativity, nothing felt premium, chewy fish, flavors didn't mesh, and half of it was salty. The miso soup wasn't scorching, which i appreciated at first but that meant the last few sips were fairly room temp. The real crab handroll was good. If the price point was $35 sushi set I'd give 5/5 but this is supposed to be premium omakase. I've been to other Sushi Enya locations and had good experiences, so this was very disappointing. Stick to the rolls and nigiri.

The plaza itself is unassuming, and at 7pm on a Thursday, most other businesses in the plaza had closed. The lot was full, so we paid $12 for valet parking across the street.  We waited for about 10 minutes for our seats at the bar, and honestly, the bar was so much fun! We sat right in front of our sushi chef and orated our orders directly to him, piece by piece. He was such a jovial soul and made our experience so warm and enjoyable. I was very impressed not only with his ability to make sushi but the attention and care he paid to his customers. For example, he noticed that I especially enjoyed the fattier cuts of fish such as ootoro and salmon toro, so when I ordered yellowtail, he recommended that I try the kanpachi toro instead. It was a great recommendation, and in that moment, I felt so seen. The chefs here are truly masters of their craft, both in sushi making and hospitality. In total, I had the toro, salmon, unagi, scallops, kanpachi, salmon toro, and kanpachi toro. Every piece of nigiri I had was very fresh and delicious. My favorite pieces of sushi had to be the toro. You actually get two different cuts of toro with one order, chuutoro and ootoro which are medium fatty and full fatty respectively. Each piece was so delicious and indulgent, I don't know if I can choose a favorite.  I had a wonderful experience at Sushi Gen, and I think that sitting at the bar was way more fun than what sitting at a table would've been. I loved getting to interact with our sushi chef and felt very well taken care of. The sushi was amazing. I'm already plotting an excuse for my next visit.

It was definitely not what I've expected or ever experienced in a Japanese restaurant. We were quickly greeted by the staff and be seated by the wall. The upholstery of our seats were torn. The area where we were sitting was a bit too dark and could definitely add more lights for customers to see their menus. After giving a look at the menu, our server asked if we were ready. I said it's our first time so we need some time to look through the menu. She replied ok and left. We mainly ordered sushi items. Servers brought over each item one at a time. When I almost finished mine, my family is still waiting for theirs. You do see the staff walk by the tables constantly.
