Found a great sushi spot in downtown PA. I don't know how long they have been opened but I'm glad I learned about them. On a beautiful spring day I was craving sushi, but didn't want to break the bank. Araki Sushi was just what I was looking for. A buddy and I walked in and were sat immediately. For a Saturday, it was quite fortuitous. I was famished and was glad there wasn't a wait to be sat. We started out with gyoza--not pot stickers, by the way--and I ordered the 3 rolls combination. Service, however, wasn't very friendly and there was low to no air conditioning on a very hot day, which wasn't very comfortable. I was recently in the area for a golf tournament and this place was in the area. I like the variety of rolls that Araki offered compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. There were plenty of seaweed and pieces of tofu, which was great. The salad was fresh and not wilted. I had a bite of my friend's teriyaki chicken and liked the flavor. We both enjoyed our green tea ice cream, which had a nice matcha flavor and was creamy in texture. The restaurant was very accommodating, we were there from 7pm to 10:30pm and they did not kick us out! Our server refilled my hot green tea a few times, always with a smile. After dinner, we took a stroll along University Avenue, which was beautifully lit.
